Mr. Tire oil change and missing parts

Good Morning,
I was scheduled for an oil change on 10/17/[protected] Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City, Maryland 21042) for my 2011 BMW X5 since I couldn't get an appt with the dealer. So on or about 11/9/2018 my truck was reading that my oil was low. I took my truck to another mechanic to see what's wrong and he advised that mt truck was missing the oil cap causing it to leak and that I only had 3 quarts of oil left. I called Mr. Tire on 11/10/18 and advised them of the issue and that I was coming there to be reimbursed for the services rendered. First they asked if I was leaving my truck there cause there is a wait and I said no I want to resolve this issue now. So after waiting an hour, I overheard the mechanic stating that the cap wasn't there. So the front desk worker (wouldn't give me his name) was very rude, so I started speaking with Rick and he advised that it was missing and stated that they could call the dealer, get the part, and change my oil. I didn't want them touching anything. So I asked for a refund, the other front desk worker submitted a request via online (not sure what he did since he didn't explain anything to me) and threw the form at me not stating how the process works or anything. So I had to go to the dealer pay for a new cap ($46.12) and then pay for a another oil change ($95). I just want to reimbursed for the missing cap and oil change

Thank you,
Juakita Rideout

Mr. Tire il change

I received a promotion card in the mail which listed a 9.99 oil change with the drive card which I have. When I went to have my oil changed the MrTire place on Front Street in Binghamton, NY 13901 on 10/12/2018 and they said that price was only good if I was applying for a drive card the first time. It does not state that anywhere on that card you sent me. I've been to other MrTire locations and they honored it in the past...what gives here...the counter person name was Kevin. I would like my 5.00 refund plus tax. Enclosed is the bill for the overcharge and coupon you sent me. If not I will pursue this furthur.

Mr. Tire wheel bearings & struts

April 25, 2018, I went to Mr. Tire on Mall Circle, Waldorf, MD for an slow air leak in my tire on my 2010 Subaru Legacy. They could fix it because I purchased my tires from there and purchased the insurance. I asked if they had time to take a look at my car for a noise coming from the left rear side of car that was a sporadic noise/sound. Kevin stated that he would have his head mechanic take a look, he needed the work to keep his guys busy. Kevin pulled my records and stated that from my last visit that I needed "Struts", and I said, "That was a year ago". I didn't authorize struts to be replaced. I drove my car home with his head mechanic, Joe, to try and replicate the noise. I couldn't. I hoped "Joe" would hear it on the way back to Mr. Tire as I went home to not sit in the shop. Told Joe I didn't know what it could be, maybe wheel bearings, but I didn't know. I get a call from Kevin to say he needed to order the part now because they were leaving to make deliveries wanted my answer to do work. I wasn't sure what work because I only needed my tire fixed and wanted him to look at it. I figured on Joe's trip back he may have heard the noise and knew what it was, so I said "Ok" and about 3 -4 hours later I get a call from Kevin saying my car was ready. No idea what had been done. Kevin picks me up, tells me that it's $2, 500 and that I can get the "Drive Card" which is interest free for 6 months. I didn't want the Drive Card and I would just pay cash. He says, "But it will really help me out if you get the card". I get the card, I look at the invoice, Struts (which I didn't authorize) and rear wheel bearings were replaced, in addition to the fix of my tire. I get in my car to go home and the noise is still there, it's not fixed and honestly, could not tell that struts had been replaced. I never thought I needed struts anyway which is why I never got them done the prior year. I called Kevin the next morning to tell him and he said to bring the car back in. I had already taken a day from work and couldn't at that time. I went in over the weekend and he wasn't there and NOBODY else could help me. Went in one evening after work, he had already gone for the day. Went in another weekend and he wasn't there or had just left. I went to my dealership to have a diagnostics done. They said that it looked like wheel bearings were not replaced in the rear but struts were replaced. I took the invoice and diagnostics by Mr. Tire the next day (by now it's early-mid May) and told them and Kevin swore, as well as Joe, they were replaced but it didn't matter because I didn't authorize him to replace anything except to fix the tire. I wanted him to look to find the cause of the noise. If found, great, then fix it. So, Joe the Mechanic and I took another ride to listen for the noise, which came up immediately. He pulled the car in the shop, took about 10 minutes and Kevin comes back and says your car is ready and Joe can tell you what the problem was "It was only something that was hanging and catching at certain times and just needed reattaching" I'm paraphrasing. So...10 minutes worth of looking and knowing cost me $2, 500 for work that either shouldn't have been done or didn't need to be done since neither was cause of the noise. I understand that they may have needed the work, but I've been schiested by people who have lied to me and have no remorse for their actions. I've had Mr. Tire do work for me in the past but I will never step foot in Mr. Tire again. I will either go to my dealership or Merchant Tire. I would like the refund of $2, 517 minus his 10 minutes worth of time to reattach the mechanism that was hanging, making the noise and he reattached.

Mr. Tire damage to tire sensor

My vehicle showed low tire pressure, so I stopped and found a tire was low pressure. Assuming I picked up a nail, I drove to Mr Tire Vestal location. The manager told me that During removal of the tire, the tire sensor strap was broken, but they were repairing it and I had a bad valve on the tire which was being replaced. I drove off and within the same week, my vehicle dash showed, "faulty sensor". I called Ford and was told the straps on the sensor can not be repaired and was broken during the valve repair at Me Tire. He knows this because the vehicle dash did not state "faulty sensor" when I took it to Mr Tire, it said "low tire pressure" which meant the sensor was working. Additionally, Mr Tire admitted to the strap being broken during the valve change. Ford suggested that I go back to Mr Tire for reimbursement of $220, but Mr Tire Customer Service Supervisor denied any wrong doing and told me the Vestal shop denied the incident.

Mr. Tire a spark plug change and lack of customer service

I took my 2001 Ford Escape in on June 30th for a spark plug change at the mr. Tire store in Penfield ny. During the change they found oil in the cylinder of my engine which was flooding over one of my spark plugs. The mechanic cleaned up some of the oil and then took out my bad spark plugs and replaced them with new ones. First [censored] up second was I never got a call my car was done or about the incident with the oil flowing in my cylinder as bad as it was. I should have been called once oil was found before the new plugs were put in. A real mechanic knows that is a sign of bad engine. A real mechanic would call to find out what the customer wanted to do next. Well they lake that at this place. I called to check after 3 hours status of my car. . When I called I was told it was done. I arrived paid for my car and was told I may have a much more bad issue with a gasket seal in my engine. I was told oil was cleaned out and new plugs were placed. I was also told it was test drove and drove fine. I drove my vehicle home which was a 5 minute drive. 2 hours later I leave my apartment to go to the store and get in my car turn it on and it had a rough start and kept wanting to stall. I then called mr tire talked to the mechanic dan who fixed my vehicle and he said it was related to gasket issue. He then said I could bring it over they could look at it but nothing they could do. I then informed him can't drive car it because the car stalls out. He told me they don't fix the engine problems there. I am very mad cause the week previous to that I had a oil change done there. I am beyond pissed off and will never go to this shop again. If oil issue was found in the cylinder I should have been called. I never was. If I knew about the issue I would not have paid 296.00 for new spark plugs only to have to salvage my car two days later cause of serious engine issues. The customer service is crappy they need to better communication with customers about car issues and calling them and telling them of bad issues. I have had 3 tires put on about 3 to 4 weeks ago, oil change 2 weeks ago and those visits to me tire were fine. This past visit did me in. I feel screwed over bad and taken advantage of by lazy people there I paid for a service that did nothing for my car. I am a single mom and had to use what funds I had to pay mr tire only to turn around and find funds to buy a junk car just to make it to work to provide for my kids and I. If I knew about the oil issue I could have used the money toward a new car. IThis whole issue left me car less for a week and caused a whole lot of anger and pain and financial suffering. I seriously hope you look into this store and clean house cause their is always complaints of [censored] jobs there. Sadly I live kitty corner to this store but I will never do service here again.

Mr. Tire tune up

Went in for a scheduled tune up. Received call after going in to look at the vehicle, a couple of other things were needed. After all said and done my quote for $389 jumped to over $1, 000.00. My husband worked with them, was satisfied with what they were going to do and the cost. After getting call that vehicle was ready they added that two bulbs were out and that was an extra $40.00 in cost, didn't call to ask if I wanted it done, just did it. We could have done ourselves with the cost of Labor and the bulbs of $40.00. Just not happy the way it was done in a sneaky manner. I will not be taking my vehicle back nor will I recommend to anyone to do any business with them.

I took my truck to the dealer and was inform the brakes were installed incorrectly and a part was bent. They reinstalled my brakes and lube all of the parts. This was an inconvenience, taking time off from work and also having to pay for service that was done incorrectly by your company. I would like to be reimburse for my service and the inconvenience of taking off from work. I can be reached at [protected]@gmail.com

Mr. Tire over torque lug nuts.

2-weeks I took my 2002 Jetta TDI in to get the tires balanced at the Laurel Maryland location.
I worked as a mechanic at the airport and do most work myself on cars, I'm 56-years old so I have some time under my belt. Anyway I took my car in to have the tire balanced and today I'm in the process of replacing my rotors and could not get them off even with a large breaker bar.
I don't understand this because this is supposed to be a tire center and they don't torque wheels to spec. I have alloy wheels and they could have been warped or the rotors could have been warped. I even stood a the breaker bar to try and loosen the lug nuts and could not get them off.
I'm at the tire center now and they said they do torque to specs and they are lieing outright.. if my daughter had a flat tire or anyone else did they would not have been able to get the tire off on the side of the road if needed...

Why can't anyone do there job right?

Mr. Tire unethical treatment

Went in for an inspection and oil change and had coupons to use. Cost started at just over $30 but needed to add an air filter and was told the price. Then things went terribly awry - I was told about other parts/work needed and after stating several times that I would take care of the other issues next week - was advised that this was a safety issue so I agreed to two of the suggested repairs. When feeling a bit lost when discussing the cost, I stated that I wanted to write this all down but was advised that this would be explained later. By the time my car was ready after being there over four hours (when expecting to be there for just about a half hour), I signed the paperwork and escaped. When going over the bill of over $538.26 and noting that I didn't even get the minimal amount discount provided by the coupons, I realized that they saw me coming - female, senior citizen - easy to con. After all this, the tire check light is on - not sure what to do about this since I don't want to go back to be taken advantage of again.

Mr. Tire services: product - two new tires, alignment, damage to my drivers truck door

11/27/2017
Mr. Tire Corporate Office
200 Holleder Pkwy.
Rochester, NY 14615

Have several complaints:
On 11/19/2017 my husband took our truck in to purchase two new tires and to get an alignment. My husband (Dr. Austin) got there at 11:30 a.m. and his appointment was at noon. They did not finish with the truck until 4:00 p.m. The whole time the man was trying to align the truck. He assured my husband that it was aligned. The next few days the tires started to ware funny. My husband did not take it back to 232 Thomas St., Rocky Mount, N 27804 because the man appeared to have been inexperience taking 4hours to do the alignment.
With that being said my husband made an appointment at another Mr. Tire on 11/26/2017 located at 1459 Wesleyan Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 at 8 a.m. on 11/27/2017.
I, Dr. Austin and my two children went with me to take the truck in to have the alignment check. I was notified at 9:19 a.m. That the alignment was off 30 degrees, so they had to correct the alignment work from the other Mr. Tire (11/19/2017). While I was waiting, I heard the men playing with my husband siren (law enforcement equipment ). Once they completed the alignment, about 10:50 a.m. (they could not give me a copy of the alignment report: printer not working). I took the truck for a test drive. I drove the truck down Wesleyan Blvd and pulled over to check to see if the truck hubcaps were on tight and that was when I notice there was a scratch/ding in my driver's door. I returned immediately to Mr. Tire and reported it to Mr. Alex Burgess, Mgr. I asked could he please check his cameras to see what happen and who damaged my truck and he told me he did not have any cameras in the bay areas. I called my husband and he talked to Mr. Burgess about the damaged door. Mr. Burgess told my husband he needed to calm down very rudely. Mr. Burgess kept saying they did not have any tool/ jacks/lift that could have did the damage.
I took pictures and sent it to my husband and he wanted to talk to Mr. Burgess again. After speaking with my husband this time Mr. Burgess went into the truck bay and returned with a tool that would have made this type of mark in the door. Mr. Burgess allowed me to take two pictures of it. Mr. Burgess said that tool is used to remove the center cap of the wheel he then walked off and left me and my children standing there.
He never returned to speak back with me. So I left and went to another location where I felt safe with my children and had to call and reported this to Customer Service [protected]), and they took my report #225343 and told me that an Insurance adjuster will be notifying me in 24-48 hours.

I am very dissatisfied with the service that I have received in both locations leaving me with two NEW Tires worn from the first Mr. Tire, not aligning the truck correctly, not being replaced by the second Mr. Tire after correcting the 30 degrees off alignment and now having a damaged driver door.

Could someone from your corporate office please contact me immediately. I am very upset after spending over 500.00 at your place of business, I am not satisfied with the services and product (tires) and I have a damaged truck.

Desirable resolution: Replace New Tires, Re-Check Alignment and Driver Door fixed.

Dr. Austin

Mr. Tire had an air filter replaced on my car for the engine

I have gone to the Mr. Tire store on Reed Road a lot since it opened.
The folks working there keep changing too many times. The ones there now just made it impossible to ever want to return.
I stopped in to have my engine filter checked. It did not look that bad.
I got it changed anyway. Well guess what, I got a filter from the new Auto Zone store next door, per Mr. Tire getting it. It cost 26.00 dollars on their site.
This Mr. Tire store charged me 32.00 to put it in my car for a total of $58.00 !
The manage told me he would send me my record of the work order, etc. to my e-mail, I never got it, real smooth.
I had a second light bulb put on one of my other cars, I wasn't charged any labor by a different group working there at the time. From past experiences I have had at this store, never felt like I would not return. I won't now. Got tires there before, need them now, No Mr. Tire ! Sorry to say, your going to lose customers with guys like the ones there now.

Mr. Tire front end alignment

I have a 2015 Toyota Tundra I took to Mr. Tire in Severna Park, Md. They tried to align 3 separate times but the steering wheel was positioned off center to the left each time. Each time I took it back i was given a different excuse as to why they did not align it correctly. On the 3rd return, the Manager argued that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle that HE test drove it and the steering wheep was straight. Basically calling me a liar. The assistant manager test drove it and agreed the steering wheel was not aligned properly and was off center. Again, the Manager said he drove the vehicle and nothing was wrong with it. Now basically calling us both liars. The assistant sent my vehicle to a different Mr. TIRE lication to be aligned. Turns o ut, the original store location alignment equipment was out of proper calibration. The second store location easily aligned the vehicle to the proper specs and the steering wheel was perfectly aligned. The store manager at the original store was a pompous and arogant little man who is NOT honest. If you have to go to this store, ask for the assistant manager as he will make it right. The manager will only lie to you.

Mr. Tire bait and switch for tires and service

I made my appointment for 4 tires (BFG gFroce Comp 2 A/S), Brakes, Tune-up, and Oil Change for a Sunday morning at 10AM. It was very convenient for me. Then I go an email confirming my appointment. So I assumed everything was fine. How wrong I was. I have not had great luck with Mr. Tire in the past so I shouldn't have been surprised, but I was. I went in and looked over my receipt. Just giving it a quick glance, I noticed that my name and phone number were wrong on the service ticket. No big deal. Other than the fella at the front counter said that someone had tried to call me three times the previous day. That concerned me. I told them to just take the car around and get started. I don't have a lot of time to spend waiting around, and after all, I got my confirmation email for the appointment, so if anything had been wrong, surely it would have been mentioned in the email. I watched as two other 10AM appointments also had problems with names and phone numbers on their service tickets. As I was waiting, I decided to look at the service ticket a bit more, and I noticed that the tires that were on the service ticket were NOT the tires I had ordered in my appointment. No one had said ANYTHING about that at this point. I asked the fella at the front desk, and he informed me that I was correct. They were the wrong tire. In fact, the were the wrong speed rating. Not even in the same class of tire that I ordered. SO I told him to get my car off of the lift and put it back together. I was leaving. The lead mechanic, a very nice gentleman, asked me to talk to his manager over the phone. His manager "Rob" tried to convince me that it was all alright and everything is fine and on and on... I don't know what kind of crap they are trying to pull there, but I would recommend that people stay away from this Mr. Tire. They will lie, cajole, and even attempt to bully their customers into accepting THEIR mistakes. I could (should) have just gone to pep boys over in Glen Burnie. These people are crooks, dangerous, careless, and can't be bothered to even try to do the right thing. The manager Rob may possibly be the biggest jerk of them all. I can see why there are problems here. Hopefully their regional manager Tom Fry can figure out how to make this place right, or just close it down. I will update this after I speak to him.

Mr. Tire oil change

I went to Mr Tire for an oil change. I was the only customer there and yet it took them over two hours to change my oil. Most of the employees were just standing around gossiping the whole time I was there. I wrote a negative review and the employee who sold me my oil change called and harassed me about my negative review multiple times! I couldn't believe it. The owner of the shop called to see why I felt negatively about my experience and I let him know other people were calling from Mr Tire. He apologized and offered me a free oil change, which was nice of him. I felt slightly better about the experience until I realized my lug nut key was missing and now no one can take my tires off. I called corporate and they informed me I have no proof and dismissed me. I expected to be treated with a at least a little bit of respect talking to corporate customer service. Nope. She said "and what do you expect me to do about it?" So to say the least I don't recommend Mr Tire.

I have been dealing with Mr. Tire for a while. Back in 2014 I bought some tires. A set of them. They was suppose to be guaranteed for 40, 000 miles. I only been 15, 000 miles. and when I bought them this one tire kept going flat. They put air in them before I got off the lot. I didn't think nothing then, because I just thought it was like that because they...
