On 12/15/24, I received invoice #[protected] from Norton for renewal of Anti-virus in the amount of $349.99. I did not renew and called your phone to obtain credit. Your rep, identified himself as Sam Rodgers and acknowledged charges were made to my PayPal account. He said I had to give him remote access to obtain the return form. I asked why can't the sum simply be sent back to PayPal, and he said there was no other option. I'd had head injury in Aug. & almost recovered but my thinking process was affected for aawhile er. I reluctantly agreed needing to get the money refunded and clear the matter with PayPal. He signed up with Anydesk walking me through steps. Finally got to form and completed it. I asked him when the money would be credited to PayPal and he said within the hour or the next day. It lasted 3 days. He told me not to access my PayPal acct or they'd close it. He said to do nothing til he called to confirm min we t had arrived at PayPal. On or about 12/18, he made a $25 purchase with Skype & charged to my PayPal. I contacted PayPal, and it was refunded to me. Subsequently, two more Skype charges were added: $2.99 and $6.50. PayPal was notified and said complaint was filed & I can expect refunds. That was 3 days ago. To date, no refunds Then he purchased a drone from Drone Super Store for $699 & charged to my Amazon acct. (Invoice #[protected]). I am reporting theft to Amazon today. I am age 79 & partly disabled. Mr. Rodgers took advantage of my age & limitations by coercement.
Desired outcome: Norton tech support to remove remote access from Anydesk. Mr. Rodgers to be arrested for theft & receive disciplinary action by Norton. Refund me for $1,059 to date; subject to add'l, charges, if any, before matter is resolved.
