I am desperately trying to get a resolution to a month-long problem I've had with PC Richards Appliance Repair regarding a Frigidaire product that I want to be declared irreparable so that it can be replaced, per my warranty.
I am not being accommodated.
The freezer stopped working in early January - I have had a PC Richards repairman at my home for the past 4 Mondays (including today) with the issues getting worse, not better. Right now I have a freezer that doesn't get cold enough to make ice and a refrigerator that is turned to the coldest option, yet milk spoils overnight.
I've missed 4 days of work waiting for the repairman and, each time, there has been no repair. The first week I was told I needed a part and would have to wait a week for its installation. The second week parts were installed but the temperatures of the fridge/freezer did not improve. The third week I was told I needed another part and would have to wait a week for a repairman to install it. Today the repairman came with the part and then realized it was damaged and could not be used. Every time I wait for a repairman, I miss a day of work. 2024 just started and I've already taken four vacation days thanks to PC Richards appliance repair.
Yesterday I decided that, per my warranty, I want the Frigidaire to be declared irreparable so that I can get a new/working product. (Right now my groceries are in a cooler, filled with ice that I purchased, on my back porch,) For reasons I do not understand, the appliance repair department is ignoring my request to replace the item and trying to get me to schedule yet another appointment for parts replacement. I cannot keep missing work over this. I want the fridge replaced as soon as humanly possible and my words are being ignored.
Desired outcome: i want the refrigerator to be replaced, per my the extended warranty that I purchased.
