I bought a dishwasher from PC Richard&Son (Bridgewater/Somerville, NJ). The unit did not work on day 1 and I asked the store to replace it but they refused asking me to first call the service dept. Service technician acknowledged that the unit is defective and offered to try repairing it. But I asekd for replacement as it is brand new and just one week passed by. He directed me to go the store, but store refused to issue a replacement until unless service department add a statement stating the the unit needs repair and my comment saying the customets wants replacement. Again service dept. told me that they won't add any comment and that store should be able to issue replacement for the defective units if it is within 30 days of purchase (in my case it was not even a week).
This back and forth push back between two department left the problem unresolved and end of the day, it is me who is suffering and on the wait.
to make matters worst, PC Richard&Son service representative was very rude from the time I started explaining my problem, and cutting me off saying she would not even talk to me and that she would talk only to the store manager.
The matter remain unresolved and one dept. simply pushing things back to me other dept to something about the problem.
As a customer, I feel that I got sold a defective product with customer service does bother about the customer at all.
Need this unit replaced at NO cost to me.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
The salesmen are very friendly and helpful when you are looking to buy something. HOWEVER, if you have a problem, and approach the same salesman you bought the item from, suddenly they don't want to know you anymore. First of all, whenever you walk into the store with a box (indicating you have a problem), everyone runs for the hills (after all, they got their commission already and have no further use for you). This has occured 2x for me, with two different items and in two different stores, they're not getting a 3rd try. When you finally manage to corner a salesman, they just point you to customer service. They will apply every rule in the book on you in order to not exchange, so make sure you have your receipts, etc.
Example: the salesman pushed the "floor model" of a high-end DVD player on me, when I got it home it didn't work, then they told me it was a discontinued model and there was nothing they could do? They look at you like you are someone trying to return stolen merchandise or something. Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I understand things can break, but at least try
to help your customers out, even if it is a pain in the ###.
And NEVER buy the floor model of anything, it could be a unit someone else has returned. Mine still had someone's DVD disc inside and a repair sticker on the bottom.

I had the misfortune of shopping in the PC Richards store on SI had the misfortune of shopping in the PC Richards store in paramus store without a man along.
I wanted to buy my new kitchen appliances but could not get a salesman to help me although there were three of them just hanging around. These same three salesmen practically knocked me over trying to get to the couple (obviously newlyweds) that walked in the door behind me. Whaattt!

I walked out and very happily spent my money at Sears. They were glad to take my $5000.00.
I purchased warranty for my dishwasher and i was told that anything happened just call the store and a problem well be fixed immediatly or appliance will be replaced. I paid my money but when i need to get a sevice i did not get it. It took me 4 weeks to make an appt.only one time technician came but he could not repair dishwasher.when you call customer service they do not return your call, when you ask them to talk to manager Charlie .they just put you on hold and never come back. I found this service very unprofessional and do not know how I can solve this problem. I was transfered from place to place but still no help.
I do not have your information, so cannot be sure of the circumstances. However, I can say something out of the ordinary is going on here. I purchased a washing machine and a refrigerator last april at pc richard from george. I thought they were a reputable company I was wrong. My washing machine was a ge profile and I hated it from the first load. It left water in the tub and I have to keep hitting spin spin spin. It is supposed to be a super capacity-what a laugh that is because I can't wash more than 4 items at a time or i'm left with about 2 inches of water.
I called them after I did the first load and I asked if I could return it and purchase a more expensive machine because this one didn't wash clothes properly. I was told once its in my house its mine. Well, we can't try machines out in the stores to see how they work. This one is the worst machine I have ever purchased. I have never had a problem with an appliance before and this was such a disasterous experience I tell everyone I know.
Since I have to wash clothes and can't purchase new clothes each day and throw the old ones out I have to go to the laundromat. I had a repairman come and he had to replace a lot of parts. He told me to call them and tell them to take it back. I tried again. I was told if it can't be fixed. Well, everything can be fixed if you replace all the parts.
The machine still didn't work right. I am very disappointed in pc richard and I will never ever ever make any purchase their again. This isn't something I can just get over, if I try to use my machine and I have to wash 4 items at a time its fine. But that isn't life. I don't have an hour for each 4 items to wash and I still have to hit spin spin spin. This burns me because I have to go drag my clothes to the laundromat each week.
Since I deal with it each time I do laundry I tell everyone everyone! Frustrating isn't even the word, I am totally disappointed in pc richards service, treatment of a customer, and again will never shop there for anything else. I will also never buy a ge appliance again. I used to go to pc richards for everything, but I never had a problem with an appliance. This was an eyeopening experience. One I learned from and one I tell everyone about. The machine is supposed to be a water saver too, I don't know how it can be since it takes me much more water to wash clothes since I can only wash 4 items at a time. To top it all off if I wash towels I get water all over my laundry room floor. Never can I wash towels at home they all always have to go to the laundromat.
I'm totally disgusted with this machine and with the service I received at pc richard. They lost me as a consumer.
I spoke a representative named george and started to explain to him my issue. He then cut me off and said I had to call the service department. I told I did several times and they where not helpful, he than said to he understand but the are really busy with issue of people with refridgerator and air condition issues, so I asked him so my issue is not important and I take that offensive and I paid my money for my product. He said he understand but they are overwhelmed with calls. I told that is not my problem and I need assistance with my oven. He again said that I have to call the service center. I told him that he had to call himself and get a supervisor of that department
We bought all our appliances, including the regrif in question GE Profile . We were told at the time of purchase that the appliances were all new and had a few dents, cosmetic problems. OK we said we can live with that. WE purchased the appliances.
Many months went by 7 unti our new home was completed to instal.. We kept the appliances safe in heated garage.
When installed, the ice maker did not work as the hose was leaking. Other problems arose after we called GE including the hindge was broken, door suction was striped. We then were told from the GE Co. that the unit was 5 years, used as food was found in both the freezer and bin. GE was very apologetic and said this was not fair and illegal to sell a used refrigerator. They are behing us 100%. The unit was built in 2017 and they don't sell this anymore.
We also found the GE profile stove was also used and they said it was brand new.
PC Richards carefully wrap they appliances with new packing material so the customer thinks the unit is new.

I bought my Samsung UN55B8500 TV last April 2017 with a 2 year warranty. Within a month of having the TV the power board went. I took it to Samsung my self and they replaced the power board because the tv was under the 1st year. Since May now PC Richard has come twice to my home to fix the tv. All different problems;. Now it's May 2017 and the tv is back at PC richard service department getting fixed again;. It has been almost there for week and i haven't heard anything back from the Service manger Allen A/.on the status of what is wrong.. I have email Allen few time already and still no response". I think I received one bad tv from Samsung manufacture line.. I've been shopping with PC Richard for a while now and this time they are really going to lose me a customer;.
Sounds like Samsung should lose you as a customer.
PC Richards sells products it knows are unreliable but makes big markup on product it knows are crap. LG appliances are garbage go see LG complaints online. The LG refrigerator they sold is crap there was intermittent banging noises from motor day or so after receiving item then 6 months later it broke we lost hundreds of dollars of food and PC serviceman took 4 days to come. July 4th vacation was ruined because we needed to wait for repairman to service unit. I made e-mails and calls to LG and no one returned my calls. PC Richards said if you got warranty we would come right away, strange the serviceman who is coming today said he was sent from PC Richards. I will keep you posted

Our installation on clothing washer was done by idiots, it was worse with dishwasher. Crimped copper water line, to waist line causing flood in basement (Forced 1/2 "line into 1/2" waist line) paid for install had to go to home depot to repair myself theirtheir installation is n. G. Repair service is poor as well, commercial is bogus first time figured oh well second time never again, I called rvc store and recieved nothing but a arogant manager that seemed to only interested in sales, and not to help a customer in need I will never go to them again for any thing.
I went to pc richards in eatontown recently. I was in the market for a new washer and dryer. Spoke to a salesman and told him what I was looking at but that I wasn't ready to buy|. He told me to take my time and if I had any questions he would be glad to help;. After a while and a few questions I went to leave?. As I was leaving some guy named brad came running up to me yelling about not buying and wasting his salesmans' time'. He was so obnoxious about it he followed me to my car telling me that he would give me the "deal of a lfetime" if I would just come back in.. Sometimes people want to just want to look and see what's available before making an expensive purchase;. He sounded just like a used car salesman desperate for a sale". I'll think twice before I go back there especially since best buy is only a few doors down.
You'll be flooded with nonsense at Worst Buy as well - overpriced accessories, Geek Squad Black Tie Ripoff plans, etc. Take your business to Lowes or Home Depot. PC follows the "old school" commissioned sales floor model, same with HH Gregg - both high pressure especially to sell warranties.

Buying a fridge at PC Richards has permanently changed my life, and not for the better. This story is five years old but I'm glad to relate it now.
I purchased a new Frigidaire from PC Richards and it was delivered a few days later. The delivery men badly scratched my mahogany living room floor in the process and dumped my old refrigerator in our building's basement instead of carting it away. After they left, I realized that they had brought me a fridge that opened from the left and had to make arrangements to have a replacement made.
When the replacement was installed, I didn't notice that the delivery crew failed to adjust it for the door to close automatically. I subsequently prepared a breakfast which included cold cereal with milk. An hour later the room started spinning violently. I somehow made it to a bathroom and spent the next eight hours emptying myself at both ends/. When my wife arrived from work, I asked her to call an ambulance:.
The following three days were spent in a hospital for viral food poisoning The next half-year was spent visiting an ENT and going for therapy for vertigo because the infection also attacked my right and inner ear.. My ENT brought my word recognition from six percent to eighty percent.. He termed my recovery as "near miraculous" and said he would be discussing my case at a conference he was soon to attend in Singapore?. His aggressive treatment involved direct injections of steroids through my eardrum, .
I hope this abridged story is helpful to you:. Needless to say, I wouldn't take a product from PC Richards if they gave it to me.
Refrigerators are usually leveled so that the weight of the door allows it to shut "automatically ". I can fully understand if the leveling needed adjustment. However, to blame food poisening on the refrigerator is a bit of a stretch and to post now after 5 years is a little suspect.
P.C. Richard & Son has been in business for 101 years because we take care of our customers needs. It sounds like the manager felt something went wrong in the sale and did not just let you walk away with the wrong impression of the company. Obviously, he only made it worse. We do apologize
I can tell you I had to wait 10 days for Sears to come to my house to repair a dishwasher. It was repaired on that same visit but I know PC is typically there in 2-3 days. PC has some of the quickest response times on service but when you buy an LG appliance you are buying from a company that has not been in the appliance business as long as say a GE. Both products are made typically in Malaysia but GE keeps a heck of a lot more parts stateside then LG ever will. Yes, PC warrany is fix or replace and if they replace that appliance with a new one the warranty is then satisfied. I think that is fare. If you spoke to Craig Ruppert, you are certainly called the store instead of calling the service department! I don't work for PC but can tell you their warranties are one of the best values in the business. About 50% lower price than Sears with better service. No one in their right mind sells a 10 year warranty besides PC!
Pc richards is a place where i've shopped for many things.. The salesman I had was awesome... The service dept on the other hand is the worst... Dont buy extended service contracts from them... First they sell you a contract for lets say 3 years and the appliance you buy has a year warranty on it already.. So they beat you for a year off the bat... Then you call them for service, that took them over a month to try and fix my dishwasher and you get no service at all! Honesty.. Integrity.. Reliabilty.. [yeah right]
I for one will never shop at pc richards ever again... Cost me twice to install the dishwasher I bought from them.. And they could care less shame on you richard you are not reliable and you just lost a real good customer... K sturm... One very pissed off customer...
Be VERY wary of these people! They are RIP OFFS of the highest order. Joe Botros Jr.8246 told me that I would be interest free for 18 months, after which my payments would begin to include interest. What they DIDN'T tell me was that all that interest was accruing and that when it kicked in I would be hit by deferred interest in the sum of almost $800.00! NONE of this is listed on your monthly statement page, mind you". It’s a separate page (to which they conveniently never direct you! You really have to hunt for it'.) THEN you’re hit with a brand new 26/.99% interest rate! You read that right! 26:.99%! Even though I have automatic payments, so I'm never late! This is now by far my most expensive interest account, . They make CitiCard look like Mother Teresa.. PLEASE! If you have an account with these people PAY IT OFF FAST;. Then find another provider! These people have a hole where their souls ought to be".Private sales letters Buyer beware!

The worst part is dealing with the company's Service Center|. They are absolutely useless|. The technicians might as well be people just pulled off the street and given a job because I have yet to have one in my home who appeared to actually know anything about the appliance that he was dispatched to service..
I have never had an appliance fixed in a single service call, and I had to raise *** about having so many service calls on each "new" appliance before a Manager would approve a swap-out".
I will NEVER IN LIFE do business with PC Richards and if there was any way that I could cancel the appliances that we purchased, send them back and eliminate any dealings with them at all, I would do it in a heartbeat.
Now the icing on the cake is that my tenant's brand new refrigerator has been out of commission for 2 weeks now and we have been unable to get a new refrigerator approved. Instead they were told today that they would have to wait "AT LEAST" another week for a compressor to be ordered on this new refrigerator before they will have a functioning refrigerator in their apartment. Now someone explain to me how a refrigerator's compressor goes bad in a matter of 6 months?
I believe that PC Richards is selling faulty appliances as new. There is no other way to explain how 4 of 7 appliances completely stop working in a matter of months after purchase from the same company.

We purchased a washer and dryer almost 3 years ago and paid a significant amount for a 10 year extended warranty on each (almost 40% of the purchase price). The machines were installed (by PC Richard) in my 2nd floor laundry room. This weekend, water started coming through my kitchen ceiling. When we called the service department first thing this morning, we were told the first service appointment is 2 weeks from now (and who knows how long they will delay for parts or a replacement). Water has continued to drip out of the back of the washer (yes, my husband turned the water supply off). It is a small amount but I am worried about the water damage to my floor/ceiling and cannot believe a 2 week wait is the kind of service that the salesman promised- "you'll be totally protected for 10 years

I purchase NIKON camera with additional warranty from store about little more than a month ago, after few weeks lens stop comes out, so I contact store, Steve Allen when I purchase it from, and they said that it's still under factory warranty and they send it to factory for repair I was told that it shouldn't take not more than 2 weeks, no one contact me after 2 weeks, so I called again and now they telling me I should get it back in about another couple week.
Will never come back to that store or other once

I bought a $2017 Samsung "stainless steel" refrigerator and within 6 weeks, water began staining the surface of the refrigerator. Paramus Store PC Richard & son nor Samsung was helpful. They said it was cosmetic. Well, I have three other stainless appliances and none of them stain from water! I can not be the first person to notice this. My recommendation: stay away from PC Richards. They are not honest about the products and stay away from Samsung because they DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS.
P.C. Richard & Son pays for special financing promotions. Each statement states ON PAGE ONE when the promotion is over and that the balance must be paid in full to avoid finance charges. This appeared on 18 statements. Finance charges are charged to GE Money bank and not paid to P.C. Richard & Son, nor does P.C. Richard & Son reap any profits from the interest. It's a great promotion. However, the balance must be paid in full at the end. As with all credit cards, we encourage our customers to read the statements when they come and know what you are buying.
I purchased a Whirlpool Washing Machine on 8/8/11 and had it delivered on 8/9/11. I purchased it from this store because I could have it the next day and my washing machine was broken and I needed one right away (I have 6 people in my house to do laundry for). After completing one load of laundry and trying to run another, the washing machine would not work (the water would not come out of the machine). My husband called to have someone come look at it and was told that it would take 1 week for someone to come here to look at it! Someone came the following Tuesday to check the machine and said that it needed a part, and when I asked how long it would take to get it, they said about a week! This was unacceptable to me as I had a brand new washing machine in my house for 8 days that did not work and I was going to have to wait another 7.
I called the 800 customer service number on Wednesday the 17th to complain about this and spoke to Barbara who said she would look into it and get back to me in about an hour. I waited about 3 hours and called her back and she was not at her desk but another person said they spoke to her and she would call me back in 2 - 3 minutes. I waited another hour and did not hear from her. I then called the store that I purchased it from and the phone number said it was not in service, so I had to drive there (finding out later that they have been having problems with their phones for a couple of days). I spoke to a very nice gentleman named John who said he understood my frustration and would try to get it resolved. I told him that I did not want a fixed brand new washer and wanted a new one by today or tomorrow. He said he needed to speak to the manager.
He came back and said that they would replace it, but it would be a couple more days before I would get it because they needed to do a return authorization. I then asked to speak to the manager because I was not waiting a couple of more days...He said he needed me to go home and get the serial number off of the washer before he could go ahead with the paperwork and that I was wasting time sitting there arguing with him about this. I had already given Barbara (customer service) the serial number off of the machine when I spoke with her that morning and my husband also gave it to the service person he spoke with when calling to report the problem (I live about 25 minutes away from the store and did not want to drive home to get it when it was given to 2 persons already). The manager finally called customer service to speak to Barbara to see if she had it and she did. After about 25 minutes in the store and refusing to wait a couple more days, the manager said I could have one delivered tomorrow. It was delivered about an hour ago and so far so good!
I can not believe that it would take 1 week to place a service call on a brand new product that you sold, one day after purchasing it! (I also purchased the 5-year protective plan from you and also financed it through you). Even if they were busy with other calls, you need to prioritize your service calls. This is 100% unacceptable to me and results in my total dissatisfaction with your company. If I had not gone into the store and argued with them, I would have had to wait another week to be able to use my brand new washer! I hope that this is not acceptable to you either
I purchaced dishwaxher fron pc richards&sons located at aramus location Joe Botros Jr 8246 .salesmen recomended me to buy warranty and I was told if anythig happened to I just call and get service immeduately or replaice applaince . 4 week my dishwasher is out of order and I try to make numerous complaints to Joe Botros Jr 8245 but unseccfully, he is very unprofessional put you on hold and never returne your call or follow up with issues. I xcame with decision to hire a lawer and open a case against this store since nobody wants ti help me.alost my money my days from work, waiting for this service and holidays comming soon and my kitchen is a mess

Buyer Beware! P.C. Richard had the lowest price on the Summit Series Weber Grill I wanted for my wife's birthday ... by $250, almost 20%. I worried this was too good to be true, but went ahead and ordered through their site, where the item was listed 'In Stock' ... no warnings about LOW stock, even;. The grill was to be delivered in 5 days|. Sure enough, 3 days later. Joe botros jr 8246 told me the stock is "low, " they have none in the warehouse, that they're checking showrooms for it, and will call me back, "but it'll be at least an hour?." Why they waited to until I called to check stock, I can't guess/. Turns out, THEY'RE OUT OF STOCK on the grill I needed for my wife's birthday this weekend|. Just bad business!. They've really messed me up, too, on this birthday thing ... won't deal with them again!
I purchase whirlpool at pc richard as sales person say that when machine break they will replace it with no problem for brand new one. Being that I will used this machine relegiously, I was convince to get the warranty.
Warranty-is not true... Service is so poooor!.. They lie about the service that you will get a brand new machine if machine break, they gave so far 5 home service and they machine still not working, new machine can be credited, they have to follow the process... May they are waitiing for me to buy a new one!... That is a joke...
The service and engeneers they called it is used less... I would not buy any more appliancies from this store
As a female customer I felt that they way I was treated would not have happened to a male customer. On 6/12/11ans. an add for a 12K BTU air conditioner I was informed that the small print with the UPC code was for a 10k unit but they would honor the sale price but not honor my company discount. I have purchased many items from PC Richards and have never had this problem before. When leaving I addressed the manager, a tall younger person, Joe Botros Jr.8246 advising him that he just lost 2 AC sales and it didn't seem to bother him one bit.. I am very happy to relay this treatment to my 1, 200 fellow employees and neighbors that PC Richards is not the customer friendly store it once was.
I had promo for 12, months, they said it was 3.I know it was 12.Now charging me finance charges which they should have not.They cant be trusted.Bought frig.2/8 I used my pc card for th at purpose.12 months no interest.Joe botros Jr.8246 were very rude and felt like they did not belive me.Like I was lying/I will never buy a thin from PC again and I will tell all my people that I know aout it.Joe botros Jr. 8246 cant be trusted!I cant afford their finance .I was going to pay it all off, but now I dont care they will get 18 a month till I die.
