I bought a dishwasher from PC Richard&Son (Bridgewater/Somerville, NJ). The unit did not work on day 1 and I asked the store to replace it but they refused asking me to first call the service dept. Service technician acknowledged that the unit is defective and offered to try repairing it. But I asekd for replacement as it is brand new and just one week passed by. He directed me to go the store, but store refused to issue a replacement until unless service department add a statement stating the the unit needs repair and my comment saying the customets wants replacement. Again service dept. told me that they won't add any comment and that store should be able to issue replacement for the defective units if it is within 30 days of purchase (in my case it was not even a week).
This back and forth push back between two department left the problem unresolved and end of the day, it is me who is suffering and on the wait.
to make matters worst, PC Richard&Son service representative was very rude from the time I started explaining my problem, and cutting me off saying she would not even talk to me and that she would talk only to the store manager.
The matter remain unresolved and one dept. simply pushing things back to me other dept to something about the problem.
As a customer, I feel that I got sold a defective product with customer service does bother about the customer at all.
Need this unit replaced at NO cost to me.

I have used pc richard and son's GE credit card to purchase some product twice. when I bought this product from the paramus store Joe Botros Jr.8246 was never told that I have pay the full amount back in the promotional period. ]I always thought it will the regular finance charge after the promotion expired on sept 2017 which was the billing cycle". now I am charged $846".01 as deferred interest charge:. I tried to calling Joe Botros Jr.8246 few times and every time I was told I need to speak to a supervisor James but the customer service rep said they are having technical difficulty to transfer my call and they wont provide a phone number to call them directly!. this is going on from last two weeks!. today finally a customer service rep got someone one on the phone saying its the supervisor, the supervisor James said she could not do anything about it and my account was closed yesterday, mean while i did ask them to close my account, I was trying to negotiate it so I dont have to pay such big amount'. she also mentioned it was noted on my last billing statement to pay the full amount but I never saw it on my billing statement|. then she said it was one of those fine small font which I believe anyone would normally avoid reading/. so I have lost
You get a pressured sales pitch for the insurance coverage, then they attempt to add surge protectors and cables not asked for. If you decline the coverage the salesman Joe Botros Jr. 8246 needs to call over a supervisor James, who makes an second attempt at selling the insurance. They then request that you sign a waiver that the flat screen is free of defects and is operational. They open the box and carry the television somewhere to connect it and prove it works. The experience of the salesman cutting open the box, tearing all the plastic and removing the television in the middle of the store is not professional. Overall a very poor experience, a purchase of a Lg tv $1850 television should be painless, walk in, pay, walk out.
These thieves took a deposit on a Sharp led flatscreen which was on sale and re-sold it out from under me in less than 30 days. Then they told me they could only apply the money towards next year's model at twicr the sale price! I've never seen anything as slimy as this. Be smart and spend your hard-earned money elsewhere. You have been forewarned. When I spoke to the *** manager, James he said they were just following company policy which gives only 30 days to pay off the tv. I reminded this genius that 30 days had not yet passed. The slimy salesman Joe Botros Jr. 8246 who double-sold my set told me I could "take as much time as I wanted " and my receipt mentions no time limit on the lay-away. Bought a television Saturday. Had trouble connecting it. Called Tuesday to make appointment with installation professional for Wednesday evening (and was put on hold three times!). Left work early even though I had a lot to finish up before the holiday weekend.
No one showed up Wednesday evening, so I called Joe Botros Jr. 8246 to follow up (and was put on hold twice). The clerk Joe said there was no record of my appointment. I said I might pursue a refund. The clerk got mad and hung up on me.

I called various times to combine two accounts together with Joe Botros Jr. 8246 . All customer service confirmed that it would be done, but it wasn't. Supervisors at Paramus New Jersey, I opened the second account and advised me that the two could be combined. I have incurred late fees as a result of the confusion between both accounts. This is still not resolved and PC Richards has not helped in resolving the late fees or the combination of both accounts.
I sent my november payment to GE Money Bank on 3 novemberr 2017. The representatives from GE Money Bank called me, asking for my October payment on 29 november 2017. When I told by Joe Botros Jr. 8246 Salemen them that I had made the payment, they told me to authorize a check for my november payment. I hung up. They called and woke me up on 4 november 2017 (a Sunday) and I told them the check had already cleared the bank. They told me to send them a copy of my bank statement to clear this up. I told them that they must be crazy that I would send them a copy of the cashed check, which I have done.
This poor person has made it his or her life's mission to write at least daily about PC Richard and whomever this Joe Botros is. If you look at the complaints by date you will see a complaint by a person using 6 digits for a name pretty much every day with the ame theme.
To whoever is writing all these complaints, either get a lawyer or let it go. You are exhibiting classic "stalker" behavior. We get it, you hate this Joe guy and feel that he wronged you.
I bought a $2499 Samsung "stainless steel" refrigerator from Bill Vogel and within 6 weeks, water began staining the surface of the refrigerator. Neither PC Richards nor Samsung was helpful. They said it was cosmetic. Well, I have three other stainless appliances and none of them stain from water! I can not be the first person to notice this. My recommendation: stay away from PC Richards. They are not honest about the products and stay away from Samsung because they DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS.
P.C. Richards has been ripping off the consumer of payments made to them since November 2017. When payments are made instead of the bill going down it continues to go up. They charge extremely high interest rates and never give the correct answers to a question. In my opinion, their staff Joe Botros Jr. 8246 has been pocketing monies paid. At this point I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and also writting a letter to P.C. Richards Corporate Office for results in this matter. Hopefully with this action P.C. Richards will never again ripoff the consumer of their monies.
It is now Oct 13th and I have called P.C. Richard in paramus to complain and they are in no way trying to accommodate me in any way. I have to take loads of laundry out to get washed (mind you I have two teenaged sons) at the laundry. Matt and I have told this to P.C. Richard and the supervisor of the service dept told me she would give me, at no cost for my hassle, a extended warranty on the washer. I call today, the 13th of Oct, and want to know when my part will be in. They put me on hold for 20 mins and said it's in and will come on the 18th to install. I asked about my extended warranty and they said the supervisor would never offer that and basically called me the liar, and oh well, we don't do that sorry and someone will be there on the 18th.
I will never ever purchase another appliance from them again and I feel I should be compensated by P.C. Richard & Son. In June I purchased a $6, 000.00 Wolf range from them. You would think that they would be more then willing to help me out and what they should have done from the very beginning is replace my washer. I am beyond disgusted and I do not want P.C. The store salesperson joe botros jr.8246 had a great pitch. He promised me two things. Number 1, they don't mess around with delivery like "other" places and number 2, they stand behind what they sell, their warranty is the best.
Problem 1: delivery was 3 1/2 hours late before they showed up and refused to deliver claiming that it was impossible to get the old fridge out. I called and talked to a sales person joe botros jr.8246 and explained to him the it got in, no remodeling was done, therefore it can get out. There was nothing he could do. Frantic and with food melting, I removed the doors off the old fridge and got it out myself, then I drove down street looking for the truck on their next delivery. I begged them to come back but they would not. I offered them 20 bucks each and they said they would be back in 10 minutes. They came and delivered the new fridge. They looked puzzled that I was able to get the old fridge out myself (Old fridge was actually smaller than the new one, if you can believe that). So anyway, by the time it was all over, my coolers did not manage to save my food and I lost about 100 bucks worth of food. Putting in the food loss claim was such a pain that I gave up. So I called the sales guy joe botros jr.8246 back and let him know how disappointed I was that his sales pitch did not exactly ring true. He did not care and referred me to his manager james who cared even less.
I’m a p c richard and son shopper now! I only go to best buy now for my appliances because I have humana. But don’t worry that will stop soon too. Bunch of rude stupid people like James manager working there. And they wonder why people rob their stores! George sale men ! I hope they go under big time. We have GE Profile Quietpower 6 Dishwasher from p c richard and son. We are the second owners of the home and did not buy it ourselves. But the dishwasher is no more than 2 years old. Our dishwasher also refused to turn off after it was done washing dishes, usually humming for hours afterward. One day, we came home and found that the whole house smelt of burnt plastic. Our dishwasher was burning hot and full of burnt plastic. It was off, so we unplugged it to make sure it would cool down. We don't expect any help from GE Profile, but we will never buy GE Profile ourselves. And we will make sure to tell our friends to never buy GE Profile from p c richard and son
We purchased a $3500 refridgerator and 5 year warranty from p c richard & son. The refridgerator has developed an 15 inch crack in the interior wall. p c richard & son position is that the warranty is not valid unless the refridgerator suffers complete failure. The salesman Joe Botros Jr. 8246, sales manager, James and store manager Craig Ruppert all confirm that the cracked wall can lead to complete failure but will not authorize patching or replacing the appliance 'because corporate won't let us.' They also agree that if they bought an item at another store with a warranty, they would expect it to be valid.
All the manufacturers warranty their products against mechanical failure. Unfortunately, all the major manufacturers consider the issue described as a cosmetic issue . When I made 2 purchases, which I charged, the company added insurance with a total of $830 premium. They did this without telling me. Later I noticed the amount on the contract and notified them I had homeowners insurance. I sent proof of insurance and it took a year to get the amount corrected. I called a total of 3 times to get this accomplished. The other problem with p c richard & son that the salesmen Joe Botros Jr.8246 work on commission and will tell you anything to make a sale
Be VERY wary of these people! They are RIP OFFS of the highest order. Joe Botros Jr. 8246 told us that I would be interest free for 12 months, after which my payments would begin to include interest. What they DIDN'T tell me was that all that interest was accruing and that when it kicked in I would be hit by deferred interest in the sum of almost $1200.00! NONE of this is listed on your monthly statement page, mind you.. It’s a separate page (to which they conveniently never direct you! You really have to hunt for it'.) THEN you’re hit with a brand new 26;.99% interest rate! You read that right! 26".99%! Even though I have automatic payments, so I'm never late! This is now by far my most expensive interest account". They make CitiCard look like Mother Teresa/. PLEASE! If you have an account with these people PAY IT OFF FAST|. Then find another provider! These people have a hole where their souls ought to be: Private Sale Letter. Buyer beware!
This is the worst paramus store on the planet. I bought a Samsung 55" LCD from them in November and recently had an issue where the base of the TV magically exploded in the middle of the night. I went to the paramus store on the weekend and one of the managers named James said he would take care of it and order me a new stand. Well ladies and gents, it is now December 7th and I have yet to receive my stand or even a call back. Terrible customer service!
I am unsatisfied with the product that pc richards sold to me. I purchased a very expensive LG regridgerator in July and already the motor went bad. I called to have a service technician fix it and they sent a technition over 4 days later. When the technician arrived, he assessed the problem and ordered the part replacement. For some reason, PC richards decided to have the part delivered directly to my house. And what did the geniuses deliver? A fridge door replacement. When the tech returned to fix the fridge it was of course a waste of time because he didn't have a motor replacement to work with, he had a door.
I was so upset that I called the service department to complain again. They were so embarrassed by the mistake, that they said they would give me a new fridge but I would need to purchase a new warranty contract as a result. I complained that I already have a 10yr warranty and this should still be active since the fridge is only 1 year old. They said replacing the fridge means ending my contract. I was so upset. I had no choice but to opt to wait longer for them to order the correct part and wait for the technician to fix the fridge. It's been almost 3weeks without a working fridge in this heat wave and I lost a lot of food thanks to pc richards! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND PLEASE DO NOT BUY MAJOR APPLIANCES FROM PC RICHARDS! YOU'RE BETTER OFF ELSE WHERE!
I have had a horrific time with PC Richard And Son in Paramus NJ. 1 year ago I purchased a refrigerator after the first one I purchased went bad. It should have been a simple exchange since I had a warranty but no such luck. They were extremely rude in the Paramus NJ store and not very knowledgeable. I finally got things squared away. Now I am trying to make sure I can redeem my $329.00 credit by checking over the phone. This process has taken over an hour. I am on hold while I write this for the 2nd time today for over 20 minutes. The other 2 times in 2 different locations they just put me on hold and came back to the phone and hung it up.
I recently had the misfortune of dealing with the clowns in the Paramus NJ store due to a manufacturer defect in a previously purchased kitchen appliance. To make a long story short, I unfortunately was able to get my manufacturer to honor its warranty, but they made me get my new appliance from this store. Then there were issues in finding a new unit at the store, settling on a price, getting it delivered and installed (they actually wanted me to pay for 2 installs and don't even get me started on the actual scheduling of the delivery - train wreck), and THEN getting them to honor a refund that they volunteered to give me due to the issues. So now I'm out money and will never - barring a natural disaster where they were the only store open and had something priced under $20 and I could hand carry out of that store - shop at this store or ANY PC Richards store or thier website ever again, and I cannot highly recommend enough anyone else shopping there either. WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER
We recently negotiated to purchase three appliances from Paramus store for a kitchen remodel. We explained that we would make the purchase, but would not need the items delivered for 4 to 6 weeks. The salesman Joe Botros Jr. 8246 and manager James both agreed that that would be fine.rnrnI had just opened an equity line of credit and had not yet received my debit card would not be acceptable for a $9000 purchase, but since we would not be taking delivery for at least 4 weeks, I assumed the starter would be acceptable. What a scam the P C Richard and Son No Payment/No Interest credit card is! It sounds great to the consumer in this time of need to purchase items for their home improvement at no interest for 6 months to a year but what they do is charge you all the interest at 26.99% from day 1 if the entire amount is not paid in full! Even if you have been making monthly payments.
I received a statement 1 month with a $1500 finance charge!
Shady business. Shame on these credit card companies for doing this to people in this hard economic times.

I purchased a washer & dryer from the Paramus NJ PC Richard and Son. Great price. When they delivered it, they broke the dryer vent cap on the OUTSIDE of my house but neglected to tell me; insread, they completely taped it closed Still don't know why they even had to go out there. Only realzed what happened when it took 3+ hours to dry small load. Immediately complained & Jenny in cust serv essentially called me a liar. Arranged for service to repair it before noon on a saturday. No show so i called &advised my appt was 11:45-3:45 so i still couldn't leave my house or even go in backyard cause I'd never hear the bell. Got another call at 4:45 advising men would arrive shortly. Took almost TWO hours for men to drive from next town (i could have walked the distance in less time!)?. Men showed me work order which said work must be done before noon but they were then told NOT to come to me because they overbooked so my job was cancelled! Couldn't do repair cause they didn't have the part; promised to return next day and even called me to advise of his arrival And still never showed up! I spent a total of 20 hours over 2 days waiting for repair.. Jenny actually had the nerve to call me after repair finally done to confirm?. No apologies or explanation for implying I lied or cancelling my appointment, . A few years earlier, I had purchased a fridge with icemaker from the same store for my new house'. Waited all day for delivery - similar situation in that they kepy telling me it would be delivered|. Finally learned that they actually sold my fridge to someone else! The
entire incident has completely turned me off from this company/. They are not to be trusted;. Go to Lowes.
I purchased a 60-inch plasma LG TV in April 2017 for $1, 600. The TV started acting up after 5 months by shutting off by itself, unable to control volume. Now 2 months later, the TV doesn't turn on and if it turns on, it does not have picture. I purchased extended warranty for 2 years for $129 and I was told by the PC Richards & Son salesperson Joe Botros Jr.8246 that if something happens to the TV, I can select a brand new TV for the price I purchased the original one and they will deliver the new TV and replace the old one. I even purchased HDMI cable for $150 because the sales person Joe said that would work way better with this TV.
So after spending $1, 800, I am getting a service that is not acceptable. I made an appointment with the service people and they advised me completely different. They came out with attitude to begin with, they said I will not get a new TV and they will need to take the TV to get it repaired for 2 weeks. So I need to stare at a big empty wall for 2 weeks.
PC Richards & Son uses false sales technique to get their products sold. I was not aware that if anything happens to the TV, they will need to get it sent out to repair which will take weeks. Also, this TV is still under manufacturer's warranty being under 12 months so they should be able to ship it back to the manufacturer. I am extremely unhappy with the service I received from PC Richards & Son, especially that I heard their service was exceptional before. Well, I will definitely take my business to other stores where I get the service I deserve. I will also make sure I tell everyone I know not to ever purchase anything from PC Richards & Son as this has been a horrible experience.

Washer and dryer were delivered, but we noticed two huge dents on the side of the washer afterwards. In hindsight, I realize why the delivery guy was distracting me from looking at the washer. As I was looking at everything, he ask me to go look at the walls to make sure nothing was dented or scratched (on our walls!). We contacted them the same day almost immediately after they left our house, and it's been nothing but a run-around from them ever since.
And I was stupid enough to tip the driver. I gave him $10 per guy, and laid it out on his clipboard in 3 stacks, and told him specifically, that each guy was to get a tip (the other guys had gotten in their truck already). He looked me straight in the eye and told me he would give the other guys their tip. From my window, I watched him slip the entire tip in his pocket before getting into his truck.
$1700 for a washer with two huge dents. It's the first thing I notice every time I walk in the laundry room.

I was talked into buying a washing machine more than twice what I wanted to spend because of all these rebates that were available. Sadly the machine was not delivered with any of the documentation needed to actually get the rebates and of course no service from airport appliance after they got their money.
I have a big kitchen remodel on the agenda for the spring and plan on outfitting the entire thing in high end appliances... I can tell you where I won't be buying those appliances.
I am a very disgusted customer that has recently bought a TV 55" in from your company. And have been put through the ringer about the damage to my TV in not being covered. I have spoken with many branches throughout this company and have been treated as my complaints as not important. I have made it quit clear that I am very upset with how the situation is being handled throughout the actual store paramus locations, the TV service, and also corporate itself and still have not heard anything from your company concerning my complaints. Go back the next day and they say "should be in soon"
After going back to the store several times, they never have the theatre system in stock!.
Now today February 21, 2017 I go to the store to hopefully pick up the theatre system that I have been waiting for, and they tell me it is discountinued.. "Samsung doesn't make them anymore"
They are now trying to substitute a sound bar for the theatre system". They don't even have the sound bar that they are trying to substitute in stock!. I will have to find out who their agent for service is and sue them?.
I went into the Paramus NJ store to purchase a TV . Salesman Brian J was very rude and inflexible with price and negotiation. Don't they understand if you come into the store it's to negotiate - if I want to pay list price I can buy online - and get free shipping.. After a heated exchange with THE salesman Brian J - we left the store, and I went to Electronics Expo in paramus .. Made my purchase in 10 minutes at Electronics Expo in paramus.
PC Richard should be more competitive, especially knowing their competition is right next door! This company may be 102 yrs old - the need to know how to compete in a retail environment which offers many different consumer channels
The p c richard & son Manager James needs training. We had questions regarding our order and he wouldn't even put his 1/2 gal. of ice tea down to come and talk to us. All we wanted to do was cancel our tv order and purchase the newer LED that was listed at the same price with the online discount. Managers James are everything in customer service and i hope his bad habits don't extend to his sales reps. We were willing to give p c richard & son a try but now after several phone calls to resolve an order I'll tell everybody not to use them. Stay with Best Buy...
I bought a laptop for my kids. The salesman Mo A Shaikh 5697 told me to buy the extended warranty so I purchased it for $199 for 3 years. He told me it covers everything from spills to dropping it, any damage. Well, 4 months later my daughter cracked the screen. I went to the Paramus New Jersey store and was told it does not cover that damage. I would have to pay to repair it. I spoke to the manager James and he refunded my money for the extended warranty. Why would he do this after 4 months? It's because he knows the sales Mo A Sharkh 5697 people are told to push these warranties so they and the store can make extra money. I will never buy another thing from that store. By the way, the manager's name was James and the salesman's name was Mo A Shaikh 5697 . Please be aware when dealing with these people. They will do anything to rip off their customers.
I bought a washer from PC Richards and Son, and was confirmed to deliver range on Sunday, between 1:45 pm to 4:45 pm. However, I waited and waited. PC Richard and Son deliverman have NO show and NO phone call.I called again and again. However, nobody answer my phone! I wasted 4 house for nonthing! I really really pissed by PC Richards and Son terrible serives! This store can NOT be trusted and totally NOT reliable! I will never buy PC Richards and Son electronic products again. How could they do that to their customer?
I purchased all four kitchen appliances in a bundle purchase in 2017. I refused extended warranty at that time. They recently began calling me every day on my cell phone (I did not give them the number). My experience in 2017 with delivery and installation was so bad that I had already decided that I would never make another purchase from PCR. I just want them to stop calling.
There is only one store to purchase appliances, TV, telephones, etc and that has been PC Richard for years.Something strange happened, I purchased a TV set in the Paramus store from salesman Joe Botros Jr.8246. I gave him my American express card at which time he offered me the PC Richards credit card which I refused and under his breath he muttered "give me a break" which I paid no attention to. Next he asked for my drivers license which I questioned and he said it was a new form of security. After what seemed to be taking a very long time for the American Express to clear, he said the computer was very slow. What he was doing was opening the PC Richards credit account without my permission. Soon after I received a credit card and bill from PCR. You could say because I signed the receipt the responsibility was mine, however, since I said no to the PC card and handed over my AX card I assumed he was billing AX, not doing something dishonest! The actions of one person will cause me to think twice about PCR for future purchases. Who knows how many others are doing the same.
I had purchased a Maytag Washer and Dryer at an excellent price from the College Paramus Store in New Jersey Within 8 months, the washer had a major breakdown. While this work was covered under the warranty, the repair company had indicated that this type of problem would return and I should be given a new washing machine. From the time I put in the initial claim, 4 weeks had elapsed. PC Richard salesperson George said that maybe it was my fault! Maybe we put too much of a load on this washer? First, that wasn't any of his business, next this a high capacity front loader, and we are family of 3. Well, he told me the unit wasn't made and was a closeout and he would get me a machine similar to what I paid. I said no. As per the request, a machine that had the same specifications from the earlier order. Well, he sends me a smaller, poor quality machine.Thanks goodness. Working with a managerJames at the store did we come to agreement. Its seems there is a replacment unit, exact in ever way, except the drum size is like one hundred of a cubic inch larger. I did have to pay an additional fee which while unhappy that PC Richard wouldnt accomadate me on that portion. It's no wonder that these big chains are going chapter 11.
I have been buying my appliances from P.C. Richards for about 30 years. I have to say this is my last purchase from them. I have a stack washer dryer that I purchased in 2017 and I purchased the extended service with it. I first called on October 24 and was told they would not be able to get here until the following week, but they had an outside company for their overflow called Harp Home Svc. and they could get here on October 27th. Having four kids, a husband, a mother in law and myself, I went with it. Needless to say it never showed up on the 27th (I took the day off from work). They showed up on the 28th and told my husband it was the drain pump and the part would be in 2-3 business days. I called on the third business day and was told that part actually takes 5 to 10 business days. I called back on November 7 and was told that part is on backorder, never did they call me to inform me of this. My husband called P.C. Richard & Son on Nov 8th to file a complaint. P.C. Richard & Son sent out a technician to replace the drain pump. After the drain pump was replaced, I was told it wasn't the drain pump—it's the motor. So they had to order the motor the technician came on Thursday, November 17th to replace the motor. After the motor was replaced once again, I was told it's not the motor and it's the transmission. I called today November 18th and the part is in, but now I'm being told they cannot get someone here until Friday, November 25. I don't think I would ever purchase another appliance from P.C. Richard & Son. When I called today and spoke to someone name James, I asked for a phone number for corporate and was told they do not have a phone number. Never in my life have I experienced anything like this. The service center I called is [protected]. The supervisor would not get on the phone with me. I was told her name is Erica ** and I was told the service manager's name is Reshaun. As I explained to the person at the service center, you can understand my frustration. Not only am I into the laundry mat for a couple hundred dollars, I am having a house full of weekend company for thanksgiving. So when I am asked why don't I have clean towels, I will tell my story. Hopefully, I will receive a response. Thank you.
I called PC to repair a microwave that died after 16 months on a 5-year warranty. It took 3 days for a technician to visit and try to run the microwave for a minute and a half and see it is not working. He said he has to order parts. It is now going on the 40th day that they have not come and repaired the microwave. After calling and asking to speak to a supervisor James, the rep came back and said that if I don't want to wait any more for service (they just botched an appointment time), I can get a credit for a replacement but would lose the other 44 months of my warranty! Really, are you kidding me? Oh sorry, your new engine isn't working. We'll fix it for you. But after that you're on your own, sorry about the other 4 years of your warranty?!" Am I insane, or are they? There are 2 things that I have learned from this experience as I am waiting 4 hours for a return phone call: 1) I will never buy an LG again. 2) And PC Richard & Son and their warranty can get on their knees and kiss my cold dinner leftovers. If anyone can recommend a good service appliance store, please do so. This is a joke.
