Service and stock unavailability
Pick n Pay in Matatiele is known to be crazy busy this time of the year and at 930am there are queues of shoppers wanting to pay and out of 9 tills, there are only 3 tills open. NOT ACCEPTABLE!
Not only is the service very poor, but the fruit and vegetable section is noticeably bare.. not even one green pepper in the shop, and when I asked the manager in charge, I get told...they are on theri way.
Management has been poor and it reflects on the stock in the shop and the attitude of the staff. Very very poorly run!
Cold Meat
I'm very disappointed with the item and staff at Pick n Pay Bracken City. I Went to buy cold meat this morning and to my surprise, it was totally off, sticky and smelly so I took it upon myself to take it back but the staff was very unprofessional in handling the matter, they didn't even ask what was the matter, they didn't care to ask why I'm returning it. They just took it, they didn't even want to touch it and gave my money back. I'm very disappointed in the quality of food we are getting and how the staff handles themselves. I could've easily walked into the shop and made a scene but I chose not to and this is how they act. A simple apology and assuring or telling me that they'll check the rest of the cold meat is what I was expecting from them. They didn't bother at all. I can't imagine all those people that will buy it without knowing.
Poor service and attitude
Service at Pick n Pay Portshepston Shelly Centre Bakery is the worst if ever experienced there. A lady from Bakery had the at most disgusting attitude in the morning. Upon requesting rolls asking about price there was a misunderstanding as I couldn't tell which price was for the rolls. Her response was"You came all this way for you not to be able to not see...

Good afternoon,
Recently I was given a PicknPay Gift card worth R5000.00.
I used the card on 2 occasions;
1. 10 November 2020 which left a balance of R4263.57.2. 7 December 2020 which left a balance of R2287.72
Unfortunately, yesterday I attempted to use the card at PicknPay Clothing, [protected]@Reds & today at the Lifestyle Centre, Centurion, Hypermarket.
At both stores I was told that there was no balance and that they were "offline".
Look forward to your response.

6 pack expired cold drinks
Good day,
I purchased cold drink cans from Pick n Pay Eastdale in Pretoria East around end of October to around November 2020 for a wedding. Upon my discovery I noticed that the cold drinks had expired in November already. How is it possible that you buy cold drinks between October & November but have already expired? I went to management on the 9th of December but he was so arrogant and demanded a slip. Where must I get a slip from? Did I know that what I was buying then had expired? I demand an exchange for the expired cans as a matter of urgency. I am under the impression that those expired cans were sitting in a store room for some time and when there was a special then were then put on the shelves. I demand action against this store and its manager. There were no notices then that the goods displayed were about to expire.
Service
On the 02nd of August 2019 I bought a Phillips iron at pick n pay hyper in wonderpark, on the 08 of November 2019 it stopped working, I took it bake to the shop, it was exchanged, again on the 08 October 2020 it stopped working and I took it back to the store and was taken in for repairs, and the lady by the name of Dineo promised me to get it after 2 weeks, and she told me not to call her she will call me, on the 3rd week I phoned the lady, she told me it's not back yet, it's 9 weeks now, without hearing anything from her, on the 2nd of December I sent an email to the customer care, no respond from them till today, please help me
Special not available at 4 stores
Good day, I was at four (4) different pick and pay stores to buy a special and the store managers informed me that they did not get the special in as yet. I asked them for a raincheck, but they said the do not give rain checks for specials. I am now asking, I drove a long way for this special and could not find it. How can pick and pay advertise a special in all newspapers and flyers, but they cannot supply it. It is ridiculous. Can you assist me to get my hands on this special please? Thank you. Regards. Brand frozen greens
I purchased a few bags of the 250 gram pick n pay brand frozen greens.
It is convenient for me as a single serving.
To my dismay I had to discard all of them, the smell was so bad and it was mushy and the green beans basically lost it bright green colour.
I am very unhappy with regard to this, my money wasted!
The details on the pack's is:
MNF: 20/09/2020 a2
Best before: 20/09/2021
NCP 012234/20 00:54
I purchased it from Pick 'N Pay, CNR Lennox & Sydney Street, Kimberley.
Staff rude, unhelpful and lazy.
For decades now I have been a regular customer at Pick n Pay, Gardens Centre in Cape Town. One of the oldest and most expensive of the supermarkets in town, I have gotten to know many people working there. Sadly, nowadays we customers just roll our eyes at each other while patiently waiting to be served by people who are busy having social gatherings in the...

Went to Greenstone Hyper on Sunday no stock so was issued with a rain check. Phone Customer Service on Monday and the lady that assisted phoned around for me. Told me Boksburg hyper had that they had confirmed with a lady called Mpho. I called 4 times trying to get through to her with no joy, someone took my number and said she would phone me back, BUT she did not. I then asked my husband to go there on Tuesday morning to fetch as they had said they had stock. Wonders upon wonder no stock - no person by the name of mpho. (wasted time and petrol). I then phoned yesterday afternoon again to customer services and another lady helped me and said norwood hyper had in stock, she put me through to elliot who confirmed he had stock. My husband travelled there this morning only to find elliot had not listened to what I was asking for and did not have stock of the duplex study desk (after I explisitly told him what I was looking for. (more petrol and time wasted for nothing.) I believe my husband then spoke to a manager at norwood who said they would get stock for me from soweto (I wait in ernest to see if this transpires). To say the customer service of your branches is shocking is an understatement. Time, money, effort has been wasted and still I do not have the items I wish to purchase.
Prices not as advertised in specials
PnP Hyper Faerie Glen let customers pay regular prices for products instead of the prices as advertised in the media. Staff claim the system was off, but this happened before that they claim the system is off when one wants to buy specials. They don't announce it in the store or warn customers beforehand. It seems like they mislead customers willfully and intionally. This is extremely dishonest.
Service
Dear Sir/Madam
I would like to file a complaint in regards to the treatment I got from a staff worker in Pretoria Pick n pay in Equestria. Who spray people at the door yesterday in the afternoon. I was told very rudely so that I cant get in the short as I am wearing a scarf not a mask while some of the people pass by not wearing them properly but because of their skin color they were not treated with the disrespect I got. Being a responsible citizen I was wearing a scarf properly but the conduct while the supervisor was sitting watching us from a glass room was appauling.
Hi
I would like to complain about one of the pnp truck drivers. I was overtaking him and he started to move into the middle of the road almost forcing me off the rd. I passed him and when he caught on with me at the robot he flashed a rude sign at my son.
Disgusting
Trading hours
I got to the pick n pay in Bellville Middestad at 18:15pm and was told the store closes at 18:00pm when it clearly states online and outside the store that it closes at 19:00pm. I'm very unhappy about this as I was at work and didn't have time to go buy food. When I asked for the manager I was advised that they were busy and was told that I need to call if I have a problem
Clothing seadoone mall, toti - shocking customer service
18Nov2020 - purchased 2 'one size fits all' face masks. Got home, saw it was too big for 8yr old. 19Nov2020 - requested an exchange & was rudely told by teller named, Nomfundo, she was doing me a favor as they don't exchange masks, customers wear them & return it. I replied I was not a liar! T's&C's dont reflect this? + I bought 3x more kids masks.

Trading hours at galleria mall - amanzimtoti
04.11.2020 I went to the Galleria Mall Pick n Pay @18:45, when I got there the door was already closed but outside the shop it is written that the shop trades from 8am - 19:30. When I asked about this I was told they had to adjust trading hours because of covid-19, but there is no notice at the door that stipulates that.
Kindly address with the store manager, it either they change the trading hours written outside the shop or they do what is written at the door. As consumers we need to be kept informed.
Thank you
Cash back
On Sunday the 1st of November, I went to pick n pay to buy few groceries and I asked for cash @ till of R1000, so they said their speed point is faulty, but they said its fine we can continue and do cash @ till. inserted my card, then pin after that it kept on loading up until it decline, I showed them my bank statement that the money was deducted, but the cashier said no on their side its shows declined, then she called her manager by the name of Betty, she was very unhelpful, telling me that there is nothing she can do about this I must wait for 48 hours and see if the money will reverse back to my account. To me this is not acceptable because I had a proof that the money has been debited from my account, I don't believe that such a big company as pick n pay could not reimburse my money on the spot. this is a huge inconvenience for me as customer, I always do my groceries @ pick n pay but after this incident I don't see myself going there ever again.
I went to my bank this morning and they said they won't be able to assist me, this is the bank's response
"We are unable to process your dispute. Please take it up with the merchant as we do not have chargeback rights on [protected]@Till transactions".
I need my money ASAP back to my account.
Coronavirus protocol
I went to the Bedfordview Center Pick n pay yesterday and noticed that the trolleys where not being cleaned as well as there where no wet wipes to wipe the handles of both the Baskets and trolleys. People where walking in without having their hands sanitized. The lady at the door did not seem to care at all.
Date : Saturday the 30th of October 2020
I think that stricter adherence to the rules should be carried out by the staff and management.
Poor website information & general communications
Well as a starter, even the number on this site for customer care has been changed, so pnp need to go on all their google search websites and put in the correct new number. This also goes for other contact details and in particular pnp melkbosstrand who have 3 different numbers for their liquor division, not of which take you to same (1 goes to clothing, the other to their blaauwberg branch and the last one take one into cyberspace and down a black hole).
Start by updating the correct number. your old one does not work anymore.
Extremely poor service at keywest pick n pay
Please note that your store in the Key West has the worst service that I have seen in a long time.
We spend on average of R5000 a week if not more as a family in your store.
Every time we get to the store, something else is either not working like the conveyer belts at the till points or the staff are so busy talking to each other, screaming over the amount of customers waiting to pay.
Today we tried to purchase cigarettes but once again nobody was at the cigarette counter. When complaining to the store manager, we were told that he has called the lady over the intercom and she will come to the counter with no other option of customer service. When the lady arrived at the counter we were told that it's late so that is why there is nobody to assist with cigarettes.
So nevertheless, we left without cigarettes and at this stage I would not recommend your store to anybody and I would really need something urgently before returning back to Pnp Key West or any Pick n Pay store for that matter!
I am extremely unhappy!
