I joined the Hammonton, NJ Planet Fitness today at 5am, took about 10 minutes to register. Went to the locker they assigned me(65) and went and worked out. Came back to locker and jumped into the shower and had my back in front of the shower (this was 5:55-6:05)I left and got on my train to go to school and checked my wallet to find $315.00 stolen. The person left $15 in ones so that I wouldn't notice. I called Planet Fitness and no manager there but employee said that it's not their responsibility but employees do have keys to the lockers. My mother in law called the police department and I am stopping to file a report on my way home. She also called to speak with a manager, Brena. Brena advised her that she could look at the camera's going into the locker room and the sign in sheet. They cancelled my account at my request, I do not feel safe there. When my mother in law called back to see how things were progressing, Brena told her that they couldn't do anything. But could if the police request it. My mother in law also said, the police can also request the sign in and to know what employee were there at that time who had access to the locker keys and was told they could give to the Police if proven that the Police want that information. They went from being helpful to being snotty. This was my 1st and last day here. What an experience. I will be telling everyone and hoping that the Police are more helpful. Do you have $315.00 to throw away, I surely don't. I see so many break ins & issues on this page-Planet Fitness needs to be held responsible.

employees are unfriendly. front desk could have 5 employees behind it and none of them acknowledge you coming or going and you still have to swipe your own card. some of the young men look at you as if they want to say "screw you". I don't understand how they even get hired they don't do any work they are on their phones constantly never helping anyone. there could be lines of people waiting to get in the gym and they sit there as if they are hanging at the bus stop. The women are friendlier however they take loud phone calls in the ladies locker room a lot! I know way too much about each one of them. it's almost embarrassing to have outside customers come in to this location for the first time. it looks bad for Wilmington.

I am a regular customer at this gym location on Eubank in Albuquerque, N.M. On November 20'2017 I come in to do my work out for the day, knowing that my membership payment had not gone through on the 17 of November I had informed them that it would go through on the 22 of November and was so rudely informed by Scott The GM that I could not come back in until it was paid. Never have I Experienced this before at this gym after being a 5 year customer. You don't treat regular customers that way. This GM Manager needs more people skills. I am highly thinking about changing gyms after being treated like this today.
It is perfectly reasonable for them to not allow you to utilize their services until you have paid. You are essentially asking for a temporarily free membership. While you may know for sure that it will be paid by a certain date, they have no confirmation that this will truly happen.
membership cancellation
I am a member of Clarksville, IN Planet Fitness. I have gone in person for the last 3 months and tried to cancel my membership and to date it has not being cancelled. I went in 3 months in a row and asked do I need to sign something? I was told "no we will take care of it". Spoke to Manager today on 3 way with Chase Bank and he said sorry he can't do anything because they [Planet Fitness]should have given me something to sign to cancel. Yet this was not done, I was told "we will just take care of it!" So apparently Tyler, Manager of Planet Fitness is not training his people.
I would like a full refund, I have not been in Planet Fitness since June, 2017, yet I have been charged since then to date November, 2017.
I am requesting immediate cancellation and all my money refunded.

i haven't use my membership for a long time as i moved to a different state and i am busy with my work schedule.i called customer service and they said i have to go to the location in person with a written letter to ask for termination of my membership. please dont sign up for this club as their customer relations are really bad. dont fall for the cheap prices. they wont even notify you for the yearly charge.they will just charge your account.their customer service is trash.they wont help you at all.now i have to drive all the way to Maryland from Cleveland just to cancel my membership. i will never ever recomend this club to any of my brother/sister out there.

I am extremely upset, I see where customer service is with Planet Fitness.in my situation I do not feel I have been taken seriously. My day with this company started out with 2 diffrent phone calls to the 800 number. After 2 hrs of waisting my time on the phone I was disconnected both times. I then drove cross town to talk to a manager. That was around 11:30. I was told Corey was at lunch and wouldn't be back till 2pm. I went on about my day and came back at 2. Corey who seems to think everything is funny says he cant help me. Much more to the story. I am asking I get a refund to my account that was taken off. Im also asking yall to close the account out at no cost.

On November 6th at approximately 12:20am I arrived at planet fitness after waiting at the front desk for about 20 minutes and no staff ever came to the desk... I called the location in Fairfield California from my cell, the phone rang about 20 times before 1 of the staff members came running to the desk... After my massage I was leaving and noticed there where actually 2 staff members for planet fitness working...
What was going on for 15 or 20 minutes in the back whhile the customer was waiting no one was watching the front desk? 24hr? No staff?

My name is Inder I m a member of pf gym Etobicoke location since last December.yesterday I was training at around 6:30 in the gym I was training my arms I did some biceps curls some dumble curls I was scheduled to do preacher curling you know it's inside 30 minutes workout area one of your so called personal trainer was there she denied me the entry to that particular area saying you cannot use this area until I'm finished.thats the second time she did it to me earlier two three months ago I was doing some exercises with dumbles I was resting and she came took my dumbles and went away.i said to her I m working out I have 3sets she said I don't care my Client needs it she went away with the dumbles I didn't say anything to it on that day nor today.usually the spent 1 30 hrs she ruined my whole schedule.thats not a professional approach to deal with your members.you can contact me on my cell phone [protected] please do carefully look into the matter

I asked personnel and they address it, but it is not proactively stopped by waring members and new members.

time to repair
I have complained about the handicap bench in the handicap unit. It was two weeks ago and still it is temporarily out of service. On the weekend there was a pregnant women who was very upset that the bench was not available for her to use as the anchors that fasten it to the wall are almost out of the wall.
I changed to Planet Fitness because I thought that it was different than the one I was at but repairs certainly do not get done at this location either.
The district manager at the London, Ontario locations takes far too long to long to repair was is in need. It took almost a year to get new taps in the women's washroom so that you did not have to guess which way to turn the knob to get hot or cold water they just turned all the way around. 4 weeks to get light bulbs replaced in the mirrors. Customer satisfaction should be on the top of his/her list if they want to keep the customers coming back and recommending Plant Fitness.
not allowing my son and I to work out.
I TOOK MY SON TODAY TO WORK OUT WHICH IT TAKES A LOT OF WORK TO GET HIM TO THE GYM. HE IS PREDIABETIC AND IT IS IMPORTANT TO GET HIM TO WORK OUT. I RARELY GET THE CHANCE TO CONVINCE HIM TO GO BECAUSE OF HIS MEMTAL HEALTH ISSUES OF BEING DEPRESSED. IT WAS VERY DISAPPOI TING THAT WHEN I got to the gym I was stopped by the lady on the phone as she scanned my card and continued to talk on the phone while holding her finger up for me to wait for about 5 minutes. Finally when she was off the phone she stated she needed my son's picture I'd and my picture and a phone number for my son. I was confused as to her requesting all these things because I have been going to that gym for no this without any of this being asked of me. She took my picture and asked for a phone number for my son and an I'd. So I asked her I'm not understanding I have never been asked for all this they just scan my card and we worked out. She stated everyone I. Fought someone they needed to provide us and that is when I told her he is a minor and does not have is and they have never asked me or told me I had to do that so I can come prepared. She stated my son could not work out unless I brought his birth certificate. She asked if I wanted to speak with the manager to see if she would allow me to work out with him and bring it next time. When I spoke with the manager she said he could not work out. This is very upsetting that my son could not work out and that they come up with all these new rules when I have been coming to this gym for like a year with no issues. multiple charges on my account-theft
Planet fitness took from a account I called to report was canceled. Stillplanet fitness accessed the account despite being given a new account. The old account was thrown into a even higher negative balance. First charge was on October 2nd then on October 17th 3 charges for the same amount was added for 19 dollars plus late fees. I have overdraft protection so they have received 4 payments. If the company is suppose to take the first of the month why was 3 additional charges made.

A couple of weeks ago I came in to the planet fitness on Rockbridge and Stone Mountain to update my billing spoke with the The General manager Bianca supposedly she change my billing an updated everything supposedly my daughter and myself have an account there but both accounts are billed to my bank account inreceived a text message that something was wrong with my billing I called up there 10/11 @ 1815 and I spoke to Andrew who says he’s assistant manager and I spoke to Brianna who says she’s a general manager apparently when I came up there two weeks ago to update the billing the daytime manager did not set up the account the right way so planet fitness were pulling payments from my Old account the payment cleared and then try to pull from my new account also which are blocked because they had already received a payment this has caused such an inconvenience to me I have been at the center over a year and the customer service that I received from the manager and assistant manager was almost accusatory That I truly did these charges through in NSF My concern is how come they can’t see that a payment has been deducted from my account on September 17 and cleared my account but they send me notices saying The account is not paid for September I am going up there tomorrow to cancel both accounts my daughters and myself and I will go to la Fitness where it’s less stressful
The company that I work with I can get a 20% percent discount with LA fitness but I came to planet fitness because of wonderful customer service I received at the time of signing up through juan Davis But tomorrow morning I will be up at the gym to cancel both accounts this mixup with setting up accounts via your manager has caused inconvenience to meThis is something that should’ve never happened if I bring you my information to update my billing I expect for it to be done I do expect for them to bill from two separate accounts when they have been billing from one account since I was a member ... have the money to clear and then going into the new account to try to collect again how did this happened I don’t know but I’m a very unsatisfied with the way everything is being handled the general manage basically said it’s my fault she stated when I came up there to update the billing I should have told them I had two accounts how would I known she didn’t know I had two accounts they are being billed to the same bank account and the payment comes out at the same time... this is something they should be able to see in their system ... again I will be canceling the membership I can. He is literally a trash human being. His size doesn't even matter, but just so you know, he's a manager of a fitness gym yet is so obese he waddles!
He doesn't give a damn about his employees or his customers. If anyone complains about anything then he'll just say "oh well" or "if you don't like it then cancel your membership and get the F*** out!" Yes, he literally curses at customers. But it doesn't matter because as he claims they make so much money the customers don't matter! His employees have to stand behind the counter all day, clean their machines and then basically stand around fiddling their thumbs or playing on their phones(sure that's easy), but they don't get real lunch breaks unless they choose to leave and go eat fast food somewhere, but otherwise, they're not even allowed to sit down at the tables to eat the lunch they bring. Working an 8-hour shift, you're allowed at least one 15-minute break, these teens/young adults are not allowed this, which I'm pretty sure is illegal. His employee turn around is so quick that there are new employees at least every 3 to 6 months.
This dude is barely even at work, he shows up at 9 am, then he goes to the bank for at least an hour(just to make a deposit), then he comes back for 10 minutes, and then goes get lunch for an hour, he walks in with a supersized soda and stands behind the counter for maybe 5-10 minutes. Then he'll spend the rest of his shift alternating from sitting in the office doing nothing to standing behind the counter doing nothing, leaving at 5 pm. (Yes I know this because I'm a former member who spent a ton of time paying attention to the massive [censored] of a manager and I was friends with a lot of the people who worked there

They boast $10/month. Then you find out three is an annual fee of $39. Ik i guess that's reasonable. However, I signed up for my wife on line and you have to pay the $39 fee via credit card and the monthly $10 has to come out as a month draft from your checking account. So that's what i did. Paid the $39 on credit card then I saw the first months draft of $10 come out of my checking account. On the second month I was charged $39 out of my checking account so i called so they could fix it. Was told that the first $39 on the credit card was a "Set Up" fee and the $39 from the checking account was the first "annual fee". First, what do they need to "set up"? It is simply a scam to get more of your money. They should be honest and say it is $78 ($39+39) to get started, $10 month thereafter and then $39 for each annual renewal after that. But then it wouldn't be a scam, would it? Wife has been trying to get me to join but after this...Nope. I'll gladly keep paying $29/month at planet fitness. Only comes out to $12.50 more each month if you do the math.

Me and my husbands account has been over-drafted several times. I went and spoke with the manager at the planet fitness near me and she was rude and I also tried to cancel our account but she was also rude about that and didn’t want to do it so we left. I have all the proof the bank could give me of the progress of them over-drafting and causing my account to go into the negatives. I have spoke with someone also in the head office of planet fitness in my state on the phone and emailed him all the documentations my bank told me they could give me but the bank has planet fitness blocked from our account now where they can no longer overdraft. I am so tired of going back and forth anout money that shouldn’t have been taken out, this is ridiculous. I paid my monthly fee and they continued to keep drafting my account twice after that.

Planet fitness has a habit of changing regulations when they wish, first I have been using resistance bands for almost a year at this gym amd now they decide its not accepted and I asked for contract and it doesn't specifically say no bands, I asked them to underline specifically where it states no resistance bands and they pointed me to a line that states "I agree to comply with planet fitness membership policies and club rules that may be communicated to me from time to time, whether in writing electronically, or club signage or verbally. How can you tell a customer that has used bands all this time that now you are not allowed to use them in the facilities. Where there aren't signs saying that.
planet fitness middletown, ny
I am a several year member of planet fitness and just can't not report the poor management of the Middletown NY location. After suffering through the construction last year, which lasted way longer than it should have, the way the exercise machines and men's bathroom are maintained or I should say neglected is unacceptable. For the last 3 days (10/6, 7 and 8 2017) the men's bathroom had no paper towels, the floors, toilet areas were filthy. Mean while the employees are hanging around the front desk. There should be a set schedule to handle these areas throughout each day. Also, the exercise machines have worn out handles, pads, and are missing basic screws and other hardware. This is another area that should be checked everyday to insure the safety of the club members. With the number of memberships I find it impossible not to be able finance these basic maintenance requirements. I should point out that there are certain employees that notice take the time to clean and vacuum. Apparently they are A team and the scrubs or slugs have been working the last few days. The manager should be made aware of these issues so they can be addressed. Please forward this to the appropriate entities.

I went to workout this afternoon expecting to be able to watch Red Sox Playoffs (Norwood Ma. Planet fitness. Wasn't an approved station. The members were not able to watch their team play.
Also no stations were showing any football games.
There are 2 fixer upper stations. Fox news and etc. Why can't we watch what we want.
I have been a member since Norwood MA location opened.
Otherwise I am very happy.

Although I have no direct complaint other than Life's unexpected had changes. i am a single mother of 2 small boys and unfortunately to get a 2nd job, I could no longer put in time at the PF facility as I would have liked. I read online that I would either have to go to the PF in person to cancel or get a certified letter and mailing it. This is very difficult to do for me since I do not drive that way in between jobs nor I live on that side of palm bay. I tried calling and was told the same and now I was charged a $41.78 fee for a gum that I haven't went to since April and cannot go to. I feel that it is not fair that canceling is not made easier and I am requesting a refund for that amount. I had intentions to return once I saved enough money with the 2 jobs but if it is going to be this difficult to cancel then I rather not return to PF.

I am a member of the Hammonton Planet Fitness. Naturally, I'm concerned about this post, but I'm curious about two things that nak87 wrote.
1- It seems odd to me that nak87 was a new member, and everything happened (joined, worked out, showered, got robbed, called the manager, cancelled membership) the one & only time the person ever went to this gym.
2- nav87 said that they were assigned a locker. At this gym, lockers aren't assigned; members choose their own lockers.
I'll be following this thread & local news to find out what happened and how this issue is resolved.

They are doing exactly what they can and should do. Filing a police report is the proper next step. Without the police, I'm sure they are limited in what they can reveal to a customer that may include information about other customers or employees. They seem to be rather helpful in my opinion.
