In August I contacted their office to inquire about their membership fees and what third party policies do you need to have to qualify for discounts.
I was advised that if you have sanlam reality you qualify for 80% off.
I decided to arrange for a face to face meeting with Mzie who subsequently introduced me to Alvina.
At the time my partner only had a sanlam policy which made us qualify for reality.
When we had a chat with Alvina she indicated that since we are not reality active members we should put our debit date as 29 September 2019 to have time to activate sanlam reality.
And as soon as reality is active my partner an I will each pay R100 instead if R500 towards our gym membership and furthermore our debit date will be changed from the 29 of each month to the 1st of every month
The following week we provided her with our sanlam reality membership number and as agreed we were supposed to be debited on the the 1st of October.
To my surprise on the 29th September I was debited R1000 for my membership and my partner's membership.
I then proceeded to her office and she advised that I will be reimbursed the R800 and my debit date with be the 1st.
On the 29th of October I was debited again I proceeded to her offices she then advised that they will activate my reality and and the debit date will be changed and I will be reimbursed the overpayments made for the two months.
She further proceeded to send me a WhatsApp to say my reality is now active and I will be reimbursed within 14 days and I never received anything.
On the 29th November 2019 I was debited R1000 again .
I then requested to speak to someone senior I was then advised to leave my contacts so that they can call me, until to date I have not received any call.
The reason we signed the contracts was because of the discount we were going to receive, if it wasn't for that we would not have entered into the agreement with planet fitness and currently we are being prejudiced as it's causing us a financial strain
On the 28 December planet fitness debit R2000 from my account for what reason I don't
Kindly assist me resolve this matter with planet fitness as no one seems to be interested in assisting me
Planet fitness seems not to be accountable hence their employees even misrepresent facts to customers
