Priceline.com and Economy Auto Leasing Ft Lauderdale, Fl
I lease a car thru Priceline.com, I was required to prepay the rental amount to get the so called deal. When I arrived at Economy Auto Leasing at 1:30 am, I was told that I would be charged Loss of Use Fee, a Glass and Tire Protect Fee and a Handling Insurance Fee, total additional cost was $14.85 plus tax per day. This added $127.12 to the contracted price, no pay, no car. My credit card was also charge an additional $150.00 deposit, that may be refunded.
When I complained to Priceline, they simply hung up on me. No disclosure was made by this policy. I will never deal with Priceline.com and or Economy Auto Leasing again.

Hotel Reservation
We were suppose to stay at a hotel we booked through priceline before our upcoming cruise but unfortunately we tested positive and were unable to make the trip. We tried to cancel through the hotel and priceline but both gave us the round around. I guess to us, it seems like priceline does not care if their guests test positive and should have gone through the hotel any for the hotel stay, Priceline gave us the round around and kept throwing it back at the hotel which I also spoke with that said since it's through a 3rd party, they could not cancel. We are actually VIP customers with Priceline, but this obviously does not mean anything. We were not even requesting a refund just a credit to use the service again for the same amount or reschedule. I asked if we could reschedule and the rep said we could call back and schedule a new reservation.
Desired outcome: Either a refund or a credit for the same amount.
Van Reserved Unavailable
Rented 12 passenger van on 2/1/22 for rental 6/3-6/8/2022 through Priceline. Contacted local Budget rental office on 5/31/22 to verify upcoming rental of 12 passenger van. Confirmed rental information. Budget called me on 6/3/22 at 12:15pm to confirm pickup. I told person we would arrive early in case van would be ready. Person told me she would call me back in 15 minutes. Person called me at 2:00 to inform me the van broke down from CVG Airport, was taken to garage and could not be repaired, contacted several different rental agencies and nothing available as far as cars or vans. I asked to speak to manager and this person was the manager. I asked her name and she hung up on me and would not answer the phone when I tried several times to call back. Found with family help another 12 passenger van through another Budget office at 4:30pm. Contacted the reservation line of Budget to explain what happened prior to renting. Gave a case number and was told when we returned they would adjust the rental charges. The are giving us $31.00 less than original rental charge with taxes even though we returned the van 1 day early which should have been at least $100.00 credit including taxes.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund that is due to us for a full day rental return which should be $100.67 and not $30.58.
Scheduling a flight to/through Japan when the Covid ban wouldn't allow non citizens to land/change planes there.
Mid April 2022: I booked & paid for a may 4th flight from the U/S to Thailand through Priceline. After paying for my flight & insurance AND receiving my P/line trip # and flight Am/Airlines confirmation number, I booked and paid for an 11 day hotel stay in Bangkok which was a non-refundable hotel reservation.
Priceline, 2 yrs into Covid should have been aware that Japan was not allowing non-Japanese citizens to change planes in Japan.
How could A/A that sold the air fare to Priceline who re-sold it to me have known the ticket wasn't for a Japanese National? Priceline had all my information, and again, should have been aware of the Covid flight restrictions that wouldn't allow me to make a connecting flight in Japan.
I've written and called Priceline about this incident that cost me $998.00 but have had no response from them, no refund, or credit towards future travel, no apology, no explanation. Zero response.
Of course I expected a Priceline refund for the cancelled flight (for which I had a confirmation number for) but they also cancelled & refunded my travel insurance too, which I didn't request, or expect.
It took digging on my own behalf to find out the Japanese covid restriction that wouldn't allow Non-Japanese citizens to land, or change planes in Japan. All Priceline ever said was "American Airlines cancelled your flight".
I've requested to speak to Priceline management about a reimbursement, or a credit towards future travel but haven't had any contact from them.
Desired outcome: I would like a re-imbursement of the $998.00 I lost, and an apology for loss of sleep, and for many hours of anguish and aggravation.
price guarantee
I am a priceline Gold member. I booked 2 reservations which was guaranteed under the price match guarantee. Upon calling priceline which impossible to reach via phone, they advised that their system had an error which showed me as a gold member but my reservations did not reflect that. There was no way they could resolve my issue with their system and could not honor their price match guarantee. Horrible and misleading policy and system
Desired outcome: match their price guarantee as stated
Priceline Budget car rental trip# [protected], conf#08935940US6
On May the 5th I reserved and paid for a mid-size car Elantra for a 5 a.m. pickup. I particularly chose an Elantra ,because I have owned two in the past , enjoyed them, and needed a car that was a good gas economizer ! On Friday morning we showed up at the car rental facility at 4:45. We had to wander around the gigantic covered garage because there were no signs, parking attendants or personnel anywhere to direct us to the Budget Car Rental counter. When we finally did find our way into the car rental building, every counter was closed including the Budget counter, except for the AVIS counter and there 8 clients/families waiting in line. We got in line to see if the one lone counter agent could help us and after waiting one hour we finally got to the counter. Fortunately AVIS handled Budget car Rentals , I guess AVIs bought BUDGET , but who knew as there were no signs around to tell anyone anything ! The counter agent was nice and upon retrieving my rental info. told us that unfortunately there were no Elantra's available and since our car of choice was not available he would offer us for $20 a day our choice of the following three cars, (a Prius, a Mustang, and a Challenger) I did not want the Prius too small, I didn't want the Mustang too small, and I didn't want the Challenger as it woud be too much of gas guzzler). I ended up accepting the Challenger , and we were finally able to leave the counter, by now it is 6:15 and we are an hour and fifiteen minutes behind on our. There was no one to direct us to our car so we had to wander around the parking garage to find our car., but the worst was yet to come. Following the exit signs we were brought to the only exits only to find out that they were blocked and closed, The QR reader did not work on the only automatic gate, so we and others wer driving around the parking lot to try and find a way out. Finally we noticed a lady shuffling across the parking lot eating , and carrying a bag. I asked her if she was there to let us all out, she said yes ! We finally left the car rental facility at 6:30 a full hour and a half late. By the time we got home and loaded up the car we got on the road at 7;30 a.m. we are now and hour and a half late from starting our trip. This put us into the Friday morning Houston work traffic that we had carefully planned to avoid. Because of this delay caused by Priceline/Budget we were stuck in four major accident traffic jams, causing us to arrive at our final destination of Atlanta Georgia at 11 p.m. that night , missing the team dinner, and get together that we had traveled 800 miles to get to before starting the softball tournament that we were apart of that weekend. Ruining the entire first day of our trip, and our carefully timed arrival to enjoy with our friends and team mates. Oh and we had to eat at a McDonalds rather than the steakhouse where the rest of the team met for a nice dinner.
Desired outcome: I would like a total refund on my car rental
Checking after midnight
I arrived in Marion, Ill after 1am and looked up hotels. This was presented to me as choice of property for deal. I arrived at hotel and was told it was sold out for the evening and checkin was at 3. I had booked for after midnight. There was no other option. When I called Priceline the agent ‘Jes’ said I should have picked
the previous date but that was not an option on the website. I choose the only option available.
Desired outcome: Refund of my money.
priceline failed to move my reservation
I have a voice mail confirming that they would move reservation, but wanted me to call hotel, which I did on May 25, to move reservaton to May 26. I have now been charged for both dates, I only stayed one night Priceline Trip Number: [protected]
Desired outcome: refund of $199US dollars
Rental Car
I made a prepaid reservation for a rental car at Hertz through Priceline a few weeks in advance. Upon going into the Hertz location they said that they could not complete the reservation made by Priceline which forced us to make a new reservation directly through Hertz. For the initial reservation I was charged $343 by Hertz and $91 by Priceline for optional collision coverage (which seemed like a good idea at the time). Hertz was quick to refund the money they had charged me and their company was fairly pleasant to work with despite the incompetence by Priceline. However upon reaching out to Priceline for a refund for the $91 on services that were not delivered upon they said it was non refundable and there was nothing they could do, because of “policy”. I am very reasonable and understanding but I don’t see how your “company policy” can be to create false reservations and then not refund the money that you charged for it. Sure $91 isn’t a ton but it could’ve been used to help pay my bills or buy groceries but now it’s gone because of this fraudulent company. I would not recommend anybody use Priceline for any services especially with other stories I’ve read on this site.
Desired outcome: My money refunded for undelivered services.
Car rental
We rented a vehicle from 5/10 pick up at 3pm to 5/27 drop off 11:30pm. My husband had to stay behind for work. He called Priceline, Priceline said he had to contact the car rental directly. We paid over a grand for this car rental and neither the car rental company nor Priceline were willing to help us. My husband tried to change or even add a driver (myself) so that we were able to pick up the vehicle on the 10th. The car company did not give us, nor changed the name so I could take it. They kept the vehicle for a whole week (while I was car-less), charged for it and when our flight got postponed due to thunderstorms and bad weather we tried calling to extend our rental and again no answer, Priceline told us we had deal directly with the car rental company. They couldn't extend it due to the high demand on vehicles, yet they didn't care to leave me without a car for a whole week. This by far has been the worst experience I've ever had with a third party company as well as with a car rental company. I am extremely disappointed. My vacations were tainted because neither one of these companies cared to help. However they surely took the money. Horrible way to do business. Then when my husband arrive, again a week later, they gave him a dirty and smelly car. He asked for them to change it and the car was still dirty and dented up. Looks like they removed the inside floor panel of the trunk and just threw a carpet on top, multiple scratches and the hubcaps were held by zip tides.
Desired outcome: Some type of refund would be appreciated.
Priceline double charged me for reservation please help
I booked a room at hampton by hilton in greece new york for may 26. I accidentally booked for may 25. I called priceline to fix my error right after I paid. They told me to call hotel, hotel directed back to priceline, this went on for 6 hours - hotel confirmed my reservation for may 26 and processed payment, upgraded room, but priceline did not refund my $199 initial payment, so have paid twice. I went to hotel may 26 (not 25). I have the voice from kashmir at priceline confirming that they would fix reservation and I have info from melinda, manager at hotel. Please help.
Desired outcome: I require refund for one night, as I paid for 2 nights, not one.
Rental vehicle
I booked a rental through Priceline. I used 50,000 AAdvantage points and $167.
K0481929192(Reference code [protected]) Booked through Dollar Retal. Their reservation # K0481929192. We were planning to drive to Port Canaveral Florida to Board a Disney cruise we had booked for our granddaughters. Well, at the last minute, the cruise port was changed to Miami. Ther simply is no way to drive 11 hours to Miami with 2 young children. I am a disabled Veteran. We saved for several years for this trip. It has turned into a nightmare. Would you please consider refunding my points and my payment? This was completely out of my control.
Respectfully,
Andrew D'Alessandro
Desired outcome: Refund points and $167.
Would not allow me to cancel hotel booking made through priceline.com
I booked a the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites I-35 At Shawnee Mission, Kansas.
when I contacted Priceline earlier to cancel I was told that I had to contact the Hotel. When I went to the hotel I was told I would receive a refund to my credit card, but received nothing. So I called the same person at the hotel and was while he confrimed what he told me, he then told me that since I made the reservation throught priceline I had to talk with them. I have now been on hold with priceline, again, for 15 minutes after its robot found my itinerary.
This is the sort of thing that folk have to put up with from certain companies. As I am now retired after practicing law for over three decades I have the time and money to take care of business. It has now been 20 minutes since I replied that I wished to continue with an agent re the particular claim.
It is now over a half hour since the robot confrimed my intinerary and I confirmed that I wanted to continue to talk with an agent regarding it. I also politely later requested it to get an agent online. It's the good old drip drip method of customer service. Wear the customer down at all costs.
Desired outcome: Refund in total, including taxes and fees and mail me a letter of apology along with a full transcript of all communications with priceline re this itinerary.
Rental car cancellation
I made a car rental reservation for June 5th to June 10th, and paid it up front thru Priceline. Because my son's military order got changed, I asked to change the dates, when I called Dollar rental car agency. The Dollar rental car agency told me that they cannot change or cancel because they do not have any records of my booking. So, it seems Priceline took my money. I have never had a car rental agency taking my money up front before I check out the car. So, I thought it was weird that I had to pay when I was making the reservation. Now, I am totally gone mad that the Priceline is refusing to change/cancel my reservation and refund me. I have not even used the car and it is about 3 weeks away from the date I reserved for... This is a fraud. I will never book through Priceline again. I am going to cancel my Priceline credit card as well. This is a very bad service. Also, I wasted so much time talking to the people who answer the phone and I can't understand them because of their accent.
Desired outcome: I want my money back. I can't remember the exact amount but it was around $500.
Hotel stay
The nastiest place on Earth. I am sure that Wyndham is very happy for this hotel to bear its name. (Not really).
I will start out at the very beginning. Upon entering the property I was prepositioned by 2 sex workers in the parking lot. Needless to say I thought better than to stay at this place. Instead, I had paid Priceline to stay at this hotel not knowing that it was this horrible place. I want my money back. The hotel charged me 110.00 plus what I paid to Priceline. I had to get housekeeping to clean the room before I would even put my stuff inside. Was told there were no other rooms. There were at least 22 that i counted with curtains open in the evening and open in the morning. Maintenance walked in my room while was in there. When he seen me he had to fumble for words to tell me why he was in there. I didn't trust this hotel at all.
Desired outcome: Would like to be refunded. I had to leave early due to the disgusting conditions.
unauthorized charge to account
I have filed a claim (#[protected]) with Priceline a few weeks ago regarding an $88.32 unauthorized charge made on 02/11/2022 to my account. I have called the customer service number multiple times to ask about any updates on my claim and to see what the charge was for. The customer representatives I've spoken to have no idea what the charge is for, they claim that the issue will be forwarded to a supervisor and someone will contact me once they find out what the charges are for. I have emailed Priceline my credit card bill showing the charge but until today I have not received a single call or email from customer service.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund of the total amount charged.
Van rental
I rented a Van through Priceline on the internet. Priceline rented through NU car rentals. NU car rentals rented it from Action car rentals. I was stuck with a car that did not have air conditioning in the rear of the 12 passenger van. Just don’t understand how nobody takes responsibility for this. Priceline says NU car rentals declined compensation for this. Priceline will not take responsibility. The company that rents the vehicles is NU car rental. It would have been easy for someone to direct me to a location where I could swap out my vehicle the first day. Nobody contacted me the whole week. I contacted all 3 parties. I had 9 passengers who were miserable and crying on our trip to Florida for a week. Thanks for everything.
Desired outcome: Some sort of compensation that would compare to the misery.
Flight credits
I booked a trip from LA to Chicago (American Airlines one way, United coming back). I fell ill a few days before my departure and had to cancel. I was given a full credit by Priceline that I have to use in one year. When I went to re-book and use my credits, I found out that just one way costs more than my entire credit amount. It's clear that Priceline is viewing customers who have been issued credits as captives, who they can extort and price-gouge to squeeze more money out of them. Shocked that such a fraud company is operating in the U.S. Shut them down.
Desired outcome: I need to book my trip using my credits--and not having to pay 300 dollars more per lag on top of the money I already paid to be given my credit.
I want want full refund back of $7380.80 ASAP.
I purchased a vacation package for $7380.80 on 4/27/22 and cancelled it within 2-3 minutes. I've been contacting them since 4/28/22 for my full refund because I cancelled within the appropriate time frame to be applicable for the full refund. They keep saying that the full refund has been processed. Lastly, on 4/28/22 I received $1996.37 and $417.78 refunded by to my AMEX card.
Refund on travel insurance
4/17/22 I accidentally booked hotel reservation for trip October 28-31st. I called immediately after trip was submitted. Trip was cancelled within 5-10 minutes of booking way under 24 hours. Received trip email along with travel trip protection email. Spoke with supervisor trip cancelled. I was supposed to receive full refund on trip including trip protection $734 and change. However trip protection (per Allianz) protection plan was active as of April 18th. Received email days later that refund amount changed to $700.80 excluding protection plans. Called back a week later and agent submitted resolution. I was supposed to get a email response with resolution which never happened. This is very upsetting. Called again was told supervisor was on a call and would call me back. Im still waiting. I have called 2 times and no resolution. This is unprofessional.
Desired outcome: Refund on travel protection plans purchased on this trip.
