hotel reservation
Booked hotel through Priceline three days prior to travel. Fully charged and confirmed.
On the day of the reservation, and about 10 minutes from the hotel, received a call from Priceline saying that the hotel has been fully booked and will refund the whole amount plus 20% more.
What! I have my family with me and a four year old all tired and made plans according to the hotel amenities, ie full kitchen, so meat for cooking, bbq, etc. very disappointed and embarrassed in front of fa my members visiting from overseas.
Ended up taking a hotel that didn't have what we were looking for and our whole trip was a disaster.
rental car reservation at a closed location
I reserved 4 vehicles back in April 2018 for Pickup on 7/28/18 at the McCarran Airport in New Orleans. The vehicles were reserved with Enterprise Rental Car w/a pickup time at 5 pm local time. Cool, so I thought! The day of departure, I noticed we were booked at TWO different neighborhood locations NOT the airport location like I opted for. Okay, not a big deal RIGHT? Try again...we arrived at the neighborhood location which was 35 mins away from the airport location, via 4 different LYFT vehicles as it was a party of FIFTEEN at 5pm - ONLY for the location to have closed and locked the doors - quitting time is at 5 pm! How in the [protected]@%^ can a vehicle be picked up at a location at the SAME time they close for the day?! This should've NEVER happened!
Now, we were stranded! We ended having to catch 4 more LYFT vehicles BACK to the airport and rent vehicles which cost of $45 more per vehicle! Not to mention the $30 ride each way times 4 Lyft's - because of Priceline's "sophisticated reservation system" it cost us an additional $420 before we could even check-in to our HOTEL!
Pissed is an understatement!
I contacted Priceline via chat once I arrived back home several days later - this mofo had the nerve to tell me he couldn't do anything for me because I didn't call when I was standing outside the rental car agency! Oh, so NOW this is MY fault?! I 'politely' explained to him that had I called while standing outside those locked doors, I would've ripped the poor person a new a$$hole. My concern was getting a car for 15 ppl as we were STRANDED!
After an hour of getting nowhere on chat, I asked that the issue be escalated to management, a few days later - I received the following email:

I am writing to let you know that we received your email in our Executive Offices requesting for a refund of the difference in rate because when you tried to pick up the car, the rental car counter was closed. I have reviewed your case, and we will be unable to refund the difference in rate.
I am sorry if I was not able to give you the resolution that you were looking for.

I never told these people that the office closed early - but at 5 pm, they are closed to the public! I asked it further be escalated. Here is the further response.
Dear Ms.,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding your rental reservations with Enterprise Rent A Car for Trip Numbers
I am writing to let you know that we have received your Better Business Bureau concern in our Executive Offices. I understand that you are requesting to be refunded for the additional charges you incurred because the counter was closed.
Your record was reviewed and we see that your issue was already addressed by our Executive Care Team. It has been confirmed that the counter did not close early on your scheduled pick-up date and we are only able to guarantee the counter will be open at the scheduled pick up time. We truly understand the need for the refund; however, we will be unable to refund any difference in rates if you have purchased new rentals for a higher cost.
I know you expect a different answer; however, there are no further options that I can offer.
Sincerely,
Jeron Seguira

This is crazy! I am definitely taking this as far as I need to! It is unfair to the customer period.
I have filed a complaint with the BBB and copied the CEO in the complaint.
hotel
I was trying to contact Priceline to ask them to find me another hotel as well stayed at the one that was given and had an unsafe experience there...I called several phone number with no human contact and no option to talk to anyone. The prompt kept reciting my reservation and even when I selected a different option it kept saying it could not accommodate me with no other option. It recognized my phone number but would not allow me to tlk with anyone after paying $135! Really! None of the customer service lines(different numbers) allowed me to speak to a person and there is no link to communicate on the official website. This can't be legal.
hotels
I book a room Thru Priceline like I've done thirteen times before to be exact . This time they cancel my reservation for no reason so I get to the hotel with my two cats mind you only to find out they have canceled my reservation! I look in my bank account they have taken all my money I had! I call these cons and they transfer me to Agoda some unprofessional [censored] who preceded to put me on hold after 33 minutes I conference call them leaving the first call on hold and the second [censored] employee puts me on hold. I'm sitting there in the parking lot with my two cats and no money to get another place when some rude [censored] called their supervisor calls me from Hong Kong yes Hong Kong and preceded to tell as I'm crying to bad you'll get your money in ten days it's your banks fault never explained to me why they canceled my reservation but did tell me I never had confirmation of a hotel but I did I took a screen shot of it. Plus why if I didn't have a confirmation would they have taken my money in the first place? They had no answers except to put me on hold and never return! I will never use Priceline again they are rude unethical uncaring cons. I recommend them to no one! I give them less than zero rating I'm disgusted by Agoda and Priceline pieces of total [censored]!
in country peruvian flights
My review (see below) may seem like it's about Avianca, but it's only about Priceline. Make sure you understand Avianca's policy. It's very clear on their website about air fare. My message is about Priceline. They mislead their customers and beause of that you could end up with hundred to thousands of dollars in Peruvian fees. I
If traveling between cities in Peru DON'T book through Priceline. Honestly, I don't want to book through them with anything any longer due to their poor practices and bad policies. Make sure to book through the peruvian airlines and read the fine print. I'm hoping my very long and detailed post helps you not make the same mistake I did with Priceline. Save time. Save your money.
Good luck fellow travelers! :) Feel free to message me if you have questions. Priceline has been contacted and officially submitted to various organizations. Hopefully they will fix their false advertisement and train their employees to know policies.

false claim of 3 - star hotel
I have used Priceline for years. I always get the most wonderful hotels using the Name Your Price option. I love it & tell everyone about it. However, today I reserved a 3-star or above hotel in Branson, Mo and they gave me the oldest, run-down, street/outdoor access MOTEL I have ever seen. As a woman, I would never stay in an outdoor access motel room that is old and run down, where anyone can bust in the door. This is the type of place where people linger around & watch people come & go. They refused to let me pay a higher price for something safer. I confirmed with the agent that she does NOT value her customer's safety and does not care to make amends for someone who mis-categorized this as a 3-star. Never again Priceline! It only takes one time to lose a customer and I will never ever recommend you again.
car rentals
I travel alot and decided for the first time to try your site. I will never book with Priceline again. I flew into Orlando, Fl to enjoy and weekend and rented a car to drive back to Miami, Fl. I paid with a debit card for the car rental and made sure to read all the important information. I couldn't rent the car with out a major credit card as the car rental place didnt accept debit cards and we needed to show proof of round trip explain to me how much sense does this make if I'm renting it in Orlando and dropping it off in Miami. This was not indicated on your site and the word may not must is very different. I called priceline to see if I can go with another car rental place and the lady that answer told me I couldn't. Here I am stranded in the airport with out a car, no way to get around in Orlando and no way to get back home. The information provided clearly says I can use my debit card just not with a prepaid card or cash. They said I had to cancel and they would only give me half my money back, how is this my fault and how is this fair. I even tried to get two flights back using the money from the car rental and I would of been happy to pay the difference this too couldn't happen. Now I'm out 500 dollar more because your company refused to help. This is unacceptable and truly a RIP of on your part. My whole weekend is ruined and I dont have the money I wanted to enjoy it. You need to up date your polices so you dont screw another person up like you did to me. I will let all my family and friends know how horrible your company is and how you leave people stranded when they paid for a service you are providing.

avr car rental company is the pits! you should not be associated with them! they will eventually hurt you bad!
I have left my complaint with "serena" at your customer service department and registered my thorough and outrageous disgust with the services "provided" by that slip-shod, piece-of-crap outfit, located west of the denver airport on two reviews sites, yelp and trustpilot. I will sent letters to bret keller and phyllis wallitt in the next couple of days and I am considering legal action against avr and your company.
customer service/ false advertisement
I am filing a complaint for the customer service I was not provided regarding my reservation with the Mayfair Hotel in new York . I called with concerns prior to going as it stated it was a 3 star hotel and it was no where near a 3 star hotel. I called and complained and price line rep were no help . I have photos of the safety concerns in this hotel. Rep accusing i oreffered to get changed rooms as me and my children were downgraded to a queen room after the air conditioner broke on the sixth floor of a old dirty hotel in which I could not let my children sleep in when it was hot and i could smell musty smell. I was still charged for a king room for the entire stay. I voiced my concerns many times to the cust rep with priceline and they pretty much told me "too bad" that they would not compensate for this bc it was an express deal. But the express deal was a 3 star hotel in a king bed. This is not what we were provided with. I called the hotel myself and spoke with assistant manager Beatrice, to voice my complaints again and they offered to compensate one night stay and told me to have priceline call them . Cust rep Donna refused to call them back and said after waiting on hold i had to call the hotel again and tell them to call priceline. I am very displeased and disgusted with the false advertisement of priceline and the cust rep Lucas and Donna who were not willing to address my concerns of the unsafe gross hotel priceline gave us falsly advertising it as a 3 starhotel. I had two small children with me in this hotel. We paid for a 3 star hotel and recieved a 1 star. We were on the 6th floor and the elevator was broke almost the wntire time and when we left to check out at 5 am me and my two children had the drag our suitcases down from the sixth floor due to the elevtor not working correctly. I have photos of this hotel and i agreed to pay for a king bed in a 3 star hotel. This was no where nearwhat i agreed to and paid for. Thank you.
charge on my credit card
I had rented a car through Priceline on the late evening of 7/5/2018 possibly past midnight so 7/6/2018 for the weekend. I selected a car through Enterprise. They suggested I chose car insurance which was $27.00 and I was charged for that immediately. On 7/6/2018 Enterprise Houston called me and they did not have cars available and they suggested I cancel my reservation since they did not know when a car would become available. I was still charged the $27.00. I contacted Enterprise and they said that it wasn't booked through them and I should contact Priceline.
car rental
I write to you on July 29 regarding my plight of an intensive unsatisfactory outcome of the rental of a mid-size car through Priceline. The car was issued by Budget June 26 - July 16, 2018. Priceline charged the full payment on April 10, 2018. On return of the car and confronting Budget, the manager said that he was prepared to give me a refund, except that this was paid through Priceline, and "his hands were tied". He (Jim Pauliks, email James.[protected]@avisbudget.com) advised me to approach Priceline, which I did. (The email sent to you on July 20 is copied below). Please acknowledge and respond. Sum P Lee (email account also include [protected]@HKU.hk)
Priceline trip no [protected]; Budget agreement no. [protected]
I booked and paid for a mid-size rental car (on Priceline advertisement -Toyota Corolla or equivalent). After I picked up the car and drove away from the Boston Airport to rural Massachusetts, I realized that the car - a Ford Ecosport - was not the mid-sized sedan I had in mind at all! When I called other car rental agencies such as Hertz, Alamo, Dollar, Thrifty, they do not have this car listed under "mid-size". Neither did the Budget booking agent who answered the call. In the internet where rental cars are classified into types-categories by different rental companies (https://www.southwest.com/html/cars/vehicle-types.html), this car is never listed as a mid-size. In the Ford car company advertisement of this model, it is described as a "compact" ( Google Search "2018 Ford Ecosport SUV with compact features"). And in professional reviews, the car is judged as a compact SUV https://www.caranddriver.com/ford/ecosport ). When I returned the car, I complained to the agent who said the car would fit into the classification of an economy or compact car, but then it is also a SUV. He asked me to speak to the Manager for a refund, which I did. Mr. Jim Pauliks, the Manager, was very understanding and courteous. He said that the car can be viewed as a mid-size SUV. He was very apologetic that it was not a car that I asked for and that I was so unhappy with it. He said he would have agreed to a refund, except that I paid through Priceline which made it out of his control.
I believe it is totally unfair for Priceline to have this booking prepaid in a manner such that there is no chance for Budget to address my recourse. I am very unhappy with the car, and I am extremely upset with the system with which Priceline operates so that mistakes of mis-communication or potential fraudulent misrepresentation to a customer is not compensated.
There have been many changes in my life, and this has greatly influenced my worldview. I wanted to take https://rental24h.com car hire and go a long way along the highway. After all, to say that traveling helps to find oneself. do you think I'm doing the right thing?
mckinley grand hotel july 13-15, 2018 noise complaints
July 13-15, 2018 my room 615 McKinley Grand Hotel in Canton, Ohio excessive noise in room next to me starting friday then on Saturday around 10:[protected] loud banging noises till 2am, then police banging on the door next door. Then the alarm going off at after 2am till 2:50 am telling us to exit the room and go down to the lobby. I wad unable to sleep at night each day. I want a full refund! M N
many issues
I was mislead on the room I booked. It was supposed to be a king with queen and pull out and they had us down for a king for 4 people. (Didn't even know that was legal) I spoke to 4 different people from Priceline one being a manager I was told by 2 that I would receive a refund and 2 that I wasn't going to receive a refund. Clearly 4 people don't fit in a king so we had to go to another hotel and pay for another room. After I spoke to the manager Gary I asked who his manager was and he told me Bret Keller and when asked for his contact he told me he wasn't aloud to give that info so after I looked it up I've emailed him twice and NO response.
Sad to say we had to pay for 2 hotels. They are not working with me or responding to me to those looking at reviews all I can say is I will NEVER use Priceline again.
air ticket refund
I bought 3 air tickets with this company. Two to Brazil (my wife and I # [protected]) and another to Lima Peru (me only # [protected]).
The problem is that we just have being told that we cannot leave the USA while our change of status is pending.
"If You Leave the United States While Your Application Is Pending
If you are applying for adjustment of status under INA section 245, and you travel anywhere outside the United States
(including brief visits to Canada or Mexico) while your application is pending, USCIS will deny your Form I-485"
We didn't know that before. If we did, we would not have bought the tickets because it might take 18 months to get the green card. So me and my wife cannot leave USA during the period of time.
Even thought it is not our decision, they want to charge 300 dollars EACH to put on hold for up to 12 month (not enough) or we just lose the money.
That is absurd.
First and last time we buy thru this company. I do not recommend. I do, at least, 3 international trips per year and never had this kind of problem.
car rental
I booked a car reservation online using Priceline . The charged my debit card at the time for the rental plus the insurance . I printed the form they provided to take to pick up the car the next morning at National Car Rental at the local airport . When I got there I waited in line for half an hour while 1 person at the counter waited on us . There were 9 of us in line. When I got to the front of the line finally I was told they would not rent to me because I had a debit card but not a credit card to use, even though the debit card I had, had already been billed the night before by Priceline . I spent $50 on cab fare to get to the airport and to return home after I had to cancel my trip due to this mistake Priceline had made . Did Priceline not know of National's policy even though they were in business with them ? Why did they give me paperwork and direct me to go pick up the car if they knew it was going to be wasted effort and expense and cause great frustration to me . And Priceline's final act was to charge me $20 to "cancel " my reservation . I even talked to a supervisor to try to get a full refund. It seems they would rather have $20 than provide fair treatment to their customers . I think I deserved a full refund plus something for what they needlessly put me through . I did nothing wrong . It was their mistake . For the record I had used the same debit card a month earlier to rent a car through Travelocity and Enterprise with no problems. Unforunitely I was not able to use them again because I had to reserve a car at the last minute and they did not have any cars available this time . I certainly will never use Priceline or National again . They are both a mess !

two different cofirmations received for a single transaction online hotel booking ([protected] and [protected])
Dear Sir/Madam,
Few hours ago I made an online booking to Snooze Inn (Brisbane - Fortitude Valley) on 06 July 2018 to 11 July 2018 via your web site. However, within two minutes time, I received two different cofirmations [protected] and [protected] respectively for the same transaction. Therefore please consider this matter urgently and take immediate steps to reverse only one transaction and payments (if any) as it could be a repetition of my single transaction. Appreciate your ptompt reply and verification on the correct confirmation number.

Dear Priceline customer support,
Priceline has decided to relocate me to another 3.5 star hotel in a completely different location and twenty five minutes from the airport without an airport pick up. The new hotel has half the amenities as the original hotel I booked and Priceline gave me a 17.50$ refund and to top it off the original hotel I booked still has rooms available.
I understand mistakes are made and sometimes relocating guests is necessary however Booking.com/Priceline should really make more effort with their guests. I am traveling from Canada and arrive in a Orlando late tonight without a pick up so will pay up to 60$ US for a TAXI FARE after already being charged 750$ canadian on my credit card for a hotel I never chose.
