staff attitude at the loblaw pharmacy
I attended the President choice store on 3185 Grandview hwy, Vancouver as usual to make my household purchase and visit the pharmacy to order my Insulant and strips.
I noticed there were new staff everywhere. I realized a new management changed all the staff we used to see and talk to.
at the Pharmacy, I was insulted by the pharmacist assistant. I do not know her name, but it was about or around 8:00 pm. I went to the order counter desk, she was busy on the computer, I had to wait. then I tried to talk to her, but she would not look at me. then I said excuse me. she said she is busy. I waited, then I asked her again, she looked at me without saying anything. I said, I want to put order for Insulant and I gave her my name Nuha Salloum. She said she needs to call London Drugs to transfer my prescription which I found it odd. because I am regular customer at loblow pharmacy and London drugs, there was no need to request a transfer of my file from London drugs. I interrupted her while she was on the telephone with London drugs and I asked her why is she transferring my file. she would not look at me for at least 3 minutes and would not answer me even though she was put on hold on the telephone. she would not look at me. I was furious as I repeated my question three times but she would not talk to me.
Then, I said it again with higher tone, I asked you a question. She looked at me as she is discussed, and said, without the prescription I can not put your order. she needs to wait. I said I am going to do shopping and I will be back in 20m. she would not say anything and I left the counter. I returned back in 25 minutes. she would not talk to me, I sat at the chair in the waiting area, she looked at me and she did not say anything, then I asked another person, a male pharmacist assistance. I notice he does not speak English well, he asked for my Driver licence to verify my name which I found it odd too. he had to repeat four time and had to bring a paper and pen to write my last name and twice questioned if this is my first or last name. then he returned saying they are still waiting for the fax from London drugs. the fax was 20 minutes ago sent but they did not check the fax machine. when I found out the fax is in, they male said it may take another 30m. I said no, I do not have time. she told him that she has too many orders and I have to wait. she would not talk to me, I asked to speak to the pharmacist, he heard me but ignored me and he would not come to assist me. I found the whole experience is not acceptable. I asked for the store manager, they ignored me. I walked to see someone to call the manager, two other staff told me they are busy and do not know where is the manager. then I went to the customer service, and asked for the manager, the store manager was not in yesterday night but a lady came and talked to me and I told her what happened. she said she will go and talk to the pharmacist, by the time she was going, my husband was coming toward the customer service with the medication. I told the lady I will send the report to the head office about my experience. I noticed the store staff throughout have changed. I was treated with racism yesterday. because I watched the pharmacist assistance speaking to Canadian Asian with smile and help them, I found myself not welcome. I told my husband I am not coming back to the store again. and we should another store to do our shopping. the lady who was covering for the store advised me that the management and staff changed and hired different staff to meet the area need. which means the Chinese. I understood what she meant. because I notice it too. We have been doing shopping at Real Canadian superstore since the day the stores opened in Surrey, then in Vancouver, but now we decided after this experience, not to visit the store again because I felt I was very sick and went thru anxiety from the pharmacy and other staff attitude. We spent about 750 -1000 dollars per month at superstore . we can spend it somewhere else where we are welcome and be helped when is need with better attitude. I've been using the pharmacy for awhile now but everytime I refill my birth control pills they never have the right one so they always change it for a different one. I keep telling them I can't take this specific type. Always tell me it's on back order! I don't recommend going to the superstore pharmacy. Never have anything in stock! The pharmacist never knows when they will get it in. Told me it'll be in today, went in and still don't have it. Like common birth control pills shouldn't be messed with. Also when I have a prescription it's always an hour long wait and sometimes they don't even have it done! I'm so sick of the service there I'm switching to another pharmacy I'm done with the I don't knows and the hours long wait !

I had an employee be extremely rude an tell me to F off in front of many other customers. The manger of the Sudbury location did nothing and decided that if that employee does anything else I get banned. Because the employee was rude. This manger and employee need to be dealt with. I would hate to have these people who are unfit to work ruin the experience for any other customers.

We bought two decorative cushions which the price tag said $4.94. At the register the price came up at $15. The cashier asked for price check. My husband went to double check and saw the price checker move the remainder of the same pillows over so it was not under that $4.94 price tag. The manager came over and price checker said the items where $15. My husband said he saw the price checker move the items over from under the$4.94 price tag and the price checker lied and got angry and yelled at us. The manager than insisted that the pillows where placed in the wrong spot by other customers. I checked the price tag carefully and the name was correct but the manager insisted that the two bar code number do not match. We than asked the manager if it was the customers responsibility to check the bar codes or the employees to make sure they are placed correctly but the manager kept insisting that it was other customers that moved the items. If she did not personally oversee them being moved by customers or saw the employees arranging the shelf, how can she say for certain it was the customers. I did not expect to get the items I for free as per law, at least i expected to get the items at the price shown. I worked as a cashier at a big grocery store and the customer is always right! We shop at superstore every week for groceries and all of our kids diapers and clothes and now we will think twice before going to superstore. We will ask our family and friends to think twice at shopping at a place where the customer gets blamed for the employees mistakes. Worst experience ever!

This is the second time I am writing the complaint about the superstore, but I did not receive any feedback. Its not the first time that I found the product with wrong price tag or wrong display. When I go to the cashier, they say the items might be displaced by previous customer. It is really ackward situation because this experience seem to be never-ending. But this time my complanit is about the cashier named dakota at newmarket branch. I tried to use my gift card which I did not know the exact amount, he was treating me with lots of anger because he had to use random number to find how much left in my gift gard. I finally found the exact amount of my remaining gift card and told him, but he rudely refused and told I should have told him earlier. I was shocked how he was behaving since I never saw this kind of behaviours in any stores. I asked him to page a manager and he you "no; you should go and get the manager", he was almost yelling at me. I finally talked to tressa the manager and she nicely treated. I think this is last time I am shopping at your store since walmart, costco and other competetor have far better customer service and treating customer like a gem. click and collect
I have used click & collect many times without too much difficulty, however I finally noticed that this the me the hold was still on my credit card after the charge went through. I used the same card that I ordered with which the website says should release the hold right away. It has been 4 days business days already. I am now overdrawn on my credit card (it has a small limit) and I am bouncing payments and have been charged $75 so far in fees! I phoned Superstore and was told that because my bank is not one of the major 5, they can't reverse the hold and have to wait for it to expire on its own. They gave me an authorization code to give to my bank to release it and apologized.
I phoned my bank, they said that the merchant has to contact them directly to reverse the hold or wait 10 days for it to release. I phoned superstore back and they told me there was nothing they could do. That they couldn't phone the bank. I could phone and put them on 3-way and they would verify. My phone does not do 3-way. He fought with me and said that was too bad there was nothing he could do. I asked for a manager. She at least spoke English and was in Canada! She tried to tell me that it was normal. I have read the website! No it's not. She argued with me longer and finally agreed to try to phone my bank. What a hassle! Over an hour of my life wasted! I will NOT be using again!

I like fresh Jalepino cheese bagel at sunridge calgary... Somehow they stopped making it... I went one day and asked.. Lady said we need go early to buy... Then i went early to buy so lady said they didn't make it today... Nd she said come tomorrow.. I went next day she said not this week come next week... We went next week from the day... Finally another lady sent to me to talk to bakery manager nd he said soon they will start making again within few days... So i will go after month and i will ask about those fresh jalepino bagel again.. Hopefully they r not playing with me
click and collect
I use click and collect every Tuesday with the same account and same payment information. For some reason today the transaction wouldn't go through (even though this card was used before and after at different retailers without any problem). I understand that mistakes happen and technology occasionally lets us down, but there was not even an apology or attempt to fix the situation. They had me sit and wait for half an hour in the click and collect parking spot before finally telling me that it wasn't going to work. Unfortunately I left without my groceries and over half an hour late for my next appointment. This was so frustrating! The manager was condescending in his tone and couldn't even offer an apology for the lost time and the computer system not working.
superstore diapers
My family is going through a rough patch so I decided to try superstore diapers which were a lot cheaper. I should have spent the extra $$ to get pampers. My kids are getting bum rashes when they never did before, the diapers are constantly leaking, what kind of diaper can't make it through the night! Worst diapers ever and I can't afford to buy a different brand for two weeks.

I did a $1 refund from the annettes donut i bought coz i was charged $3 but it is on sale for 1.99, i even said good morning before reaching the counter, the name of the lady i spoke to is Ollie.
She called for a price check and i stood at the side waiting for their call back. She attended to another customer when the phone rang and it was confirmed that the donuts are priced as 1.99, i waited for her to finish with the other person. The other girl at the counter even asked if someone already attended to me. As courtesy, i smiled, nodded and pointed to Ollie to say that yes i am being helped.
So to make the long story short, she gave back the amount on my card. I was still putting the donuts back on my shopping bag when she rudely told me"welcome!" And was in a frown. I was surprised coz the whole time i was just quiet. i'm a person who is considerate and doesn't forget to say thank you to those people who helps me. It was not nice of her to say that because what did i do to her to treat me like that?she made me feel like i was rude, when i was just putting the donuts back in my bag. I was suppose to say thank you before l leave.
This is actually the 2nd time i had a bad experience with her. The 1st time, i also did a refund, i forgot to give the $2 off coupon from the cetaphil i bought to the cashier. When i gave it to her along with my receipt, she said about manufacturer refund (?) Im not sure or can't remember her explanation and just gave .50 cents to me. I was left in wonder why she didn't give me $2 back but i don't want to argue with her. I just shrugged it off.
If she's not happy interacting with people, she should work at the back and not at the front desk where helping customers is her main responsibility. I love superstore but she had put a bad light on my shopping experience with you. I was even happily greeted by your cashiers. Then all of a sudden she ruined everything.
I praise Tyler, the guy also working at the customer service. He's the best person to approach. Too bad he wasn't there on those two occasions i had to ask for help. I know those were only small amounts, but those things are what we customers look for when doing our groceries.
I will still go back to superstore coz i like it there but you really have a bad staff attitude with Ollie. Im not reporting to have her reprimanded or something but please remind her what her work is and how to properly treat a customer. I would understand if i was rude or told her something bad, but just because i was still fixing my groceries and i haven't even left yet she assumed that i didn't acknowledge her. 2nd time Ollie. I'm really upset.

Good afternoon, I am writing to complain about a situation that has occurred more than a few times now. I understand that you price match with customers who bring in flyers from other stores. May I suggest that price matching NOT be allowed at an express lane. It is very frustrating when customers are holding up the line to price match more than one product in their cart.

I would like to draw the attention to the quality of the food being sold in Superstore at the # 1505, McPhillips St. Winnipeg location. While I would normally bring this up with the manufacturer of the food, the item in question is from its own "yellow color-no name" brand, which I believe should be more closely monitored.
Today April 3rd, 2018, we went to Superstore # 1505, McPhillips St. Winnipeg. We were in rush, so we grabbed what we wanted and headed home. While I was cooking, I took the "Shredded nacho cheese blend pack" ([protected]) and checked the expiry date before using it as I couldn't check at the store. Guess what! Expiry date is March 16th, 2018. Superstore was selling expired food at their stores. 19 days after the due amount.
Then my husband ran to the store and informed. He just got it exchanged free and apparently, there was a bunch of expired packs at that time. When he inquired further, he was told by one of the superstore employees that although cheese expired there won't be an issue for health.
This clearly shows that the superstore doesn't value customer's health.
How they risk their customer's health? What If I trust superstore and used cheese without checking expiry date? What if I got sick? Who pays my medical and my bills?
I have attached images of the product which mentioned the expiry date as well as my receipt.
It was such disappointment today.

president's choice frozen turkey
I bought a 8.2 kg turkey March 28, 2018 at the Superstore in Georgetown Ontario for my Easter dinner today. I put it in the fridge to thaw and took it out this morning to prepare. I opened the netting and the plastic and all the liquid that came out was curdled and the turkey smelled funny, like freezer burn. I am having 10 people for dinner today and none of the stores are open. What am I supposed to do now. I have saved the packaging and the receipt. I am so, so upset, really, what do I do for dinner. I guess they will have to eat bread and the vegetable. I could cry right now. Unbelievable!

My friend & I we purchase on the Bulk department 'Tarallini Fennel' code #11626- where the price was $41.80 per kilo. We believe it is a mistake calculating, the retail price. The same item in others chain-stores, is approx. $11 per kilo. I called the manager answer: Nothing to do with pricing; I called customer main office answer: they will check .. I really would like to know if was an honest mistake of calculation or is 'normal' price for that store.

vegetables, zucchini
Purchased a zucchini in the Langford, BC, Canada on March 26 th and by Tuesday March 27 th, the vegetable was limp and in edible and had to be disposed of. This is in unacceptable. If fresh vegetables are sold they should last in correct storage conditions more than 1 day.
This is the not the first time that we have experienced this problem at this location. We are unclear if the problem persist in other locations. When a consumer purchases a fresh vegetable the expectation is that they can take the item home and consume it it in a reasonable period. The reasonable period is based on the standard storage conditions commonly detailed in public forums and published materials. If the said vegetable, does not meet the minimum expectations, the consumer is clearly being sold a product that is substandard. This is one more reason the consumer will not chose your store for future purchases. The problem is so easy to fix.
not enough product
About 2 months ago I had a hard time trying to get coffeemate hazelnut cream. Both supetstore did not have it in stock . I went 2 weeks w/o my favorite cream . I went to superstore twice this weekend Sat &Sun . And now today there is none . As a regular customer I m pretty upset that there is no product (hazelnut) . Now I have to go somewhere else to find my product . When u email me back I will give u my pc optimum # so u can see yourself that it's always on my list . I would hope that I would not need to shop anywhere else for my grocery needs that I get every weekend .
racism
On my recent visit I noticed that the signs in superstore had English and Chinese but not my mother language. My parents and relatives who are elders are unable to find the things they need because there is no Punjabi written on the signs. Please add the language as my relatives find that it takes too much time that is a waste. It's easy for Asians but not for those who cannot read Chinese or English.
price matching & coupons
I was told today for the "very 1st time" at RCSS Milton by Ronnie (supervisor) that I cannot price match and use a coupon for the same item?
FYI The price matching was requested against Metro and No Frills offers and the coupons were from the RCSS coupon board and smartsource. ca
Ohhhh... and by the way I was also told that I would need to go to Metro & No Frills to buy those items if I wanted to use the coupons?
Extremely extremely disappointed... but thankfully I am surrounded by other great grocery stores to whom customers matter, and where I was able to conveniently purchase my products and avail my coupons without an issue.

This was a very good store, and was my main supermarket.
Lately it become worst and worst, the products are switch around and there are far less choice then fresco or no frills.
Today there was very little variety at fresh produce, no radicio, no parsley, there was no president choice cheeses like Comte or other French chess...overall very neglected store, at 10 half of produce bins were empty.
The cashier did not help with packing, although was not very busy.
bad bulk almonds
I purchased almonds from the bulk section from East Superstore in Regina, SK. It happened second times. Within two days it starts smelling bad like old rotten oil. It is not edible. I had to throw out all the nuts. I have lost my receipt. Otherwise I would return it. It costs me around $10 loss. Please check with the supplier. I am a customer of Superstore for six years straight. This is the first time I am making complain about the food quality.
