romaine lettuce or leaf lettuce
hello I own a cafe and shop daily at your store but the price of lettuce is through the roof. I constantly complain to the store manage about the lettuce but have not been heard, they tell me there is a national program to remove the outside lettuce leaves and then i call you and was told there is no such program so i tell the manager of my store here in courtenay and they just pay no attention. the lettuce is so small to begin with and then they take off the outside leaves and then you want us to pay 3.00 for a tiny head of lettuce. and then today I go to get lettuce and again they have been shorted. gee I did not know I could add a picture so next time i will get a picture of the lettuce for you, probably tomorrow
crackle barrel cheese old light
On March 31, 2017 I bought Crackle Barrell Old Cheddar Light cheese block on sale for $5.98/regular $7.97. Item code [protected].
When I opened it I discovered it was completely covered in mold and had to throw it out. The expiry date was 3017.MA.07.
This is the first time this has happened to me. I know it must have just been a mistake but I would like a replacement block of cheese please.
My receipt code for that day was
[protected] 01523 at your Chilliwack, BC store.
Thank you,
Kimberly Goertzen
customer service at the gas bar
On April 4, 2017 I purchased fuel at 333 Seymour BLvd, North Vancouver, BC on pump #5. The attendant is Rochelle and my slip # is 354421. On the day of my visit, Rochelle verbally reprimanded me for backing into the gas pump to reach my gas tank. I explained to her that the female customer in front of me did the same thing . I could have pulled in forward to the gas pump for the side of my gas tank but that customer decided to pull ahead and back in. So i copied her. I wondered why I was being singled out so I asked her if she was going to point this out to that customer. She said that she saw me do it but didn't see her and she could not leave her station because she was alone. In response to both points, she could see the other person who was still parked backwards on the surveillance screen and I saw a fellow employee go into the back of the store when I arrived. If she wanted to address backing in as an issue, she could have arranged to speak with the other lady. So my complaint is that I am requesting an investigation in connection with this incident. I had left my eye glasses in the gasbar and when I got to the Superstore, I asked customer service to call over to ask if I left them. They confirmed that I did so I went back and retrieved them. I did not look at the glasses then but when I went to use them today I discovered that they are broken. I am a professor and I rely on my glasses. I took them to On Time Optical and they could not do anything with them and the fellow confirmed that they are broken and it would take a huge effort to break them. He believes it was deliberate. I want to investigate if Rochelle may have broken my glasses out of spite. I knew she was not happy when I challenged her earlier that day but I did because I felt that I was being singled out. My glasses only passed between her hands and mine before this happened. I live alone so no one touches my glasses and I look after them. I need them for my work. I am hoping that if she broke them and is willing to admit it that she will make restitution and fix them.
Thanks,
Georgina
deli department
To whom it may concern,
Since last week i have gone to your store to get either Hungarian salami or pepper salami, i have been there 3 times and still nothing? Yet on my pc points card it tells me if i spend so much on buying salami i can earn points? Yet your store has not had it in over a week? I go to the gateway store 2 to 3 times per week, because I live down the street from your store, i have a broken back injury and its hard to get around and what my complaint is that I have been asking the deli department when will they be receiving the salami and i keep getting the same dang answer.. "I don't know?" To me thats not an answer, how is it they do not know when a shipment is coming in? The last time i was in the store was last Saturday morning at 845am when your store offered no tax, half of the shelves were empty or the product so pushed back with no store personnel in site to help bring products forward, i am thankful that i had a few gentlemen help me in order to grab products that i needed were, snuggle dryer sheets, pasta sauce, chocolate pudding, oranger juice in the refrigerator department. Now how am i to get points on deli Hungarian salami or pepper salami if its not in your store as advertised with pc points?

bc flag on the store
Hello There,
I live in Vancouver, and often go to the Canadian Superstore at Main and Marine Drive. During my last visit, I observed 2 flag posts on the store. One is for Canadian flag and the other one is for BC flag(provincial). Unfortuanately the BC flag is not in a good shape, and torn at the edge. Being a BC resident, I request you to change it with the new flag as soon as possible.
Thank you!

service
Dated: 31/03/17, i did shopping from superstore (store 01549 & 01567), and with the gap of 2 hours, i did shopping and make $250 and eligible for free gift of the week which is pc turkey worth of $24,
here is the point, am muslim and i told them that i can not take pc turkey because it is not halal it is my religious issue. They said we have halal turkey but it is expensive so we can not substitute your free gift with any other gift. They can give me 25000 pc points which is value of $25.
But she said that either you have to take that pc turkey or have to leave your gift. Here i come to know that loblaw / superstore ignoring minorities needs and their faith. Or can i assume that being muslim do not do shopping from superstore because we are not allowed eligible for free gifts because it is our religious problem that we can only eat halal meat. Is that what the customer service is trained by loblaw in their managers meeting.
I need answer of my question please, because i want to report this to media that real canadian superstore is launching anti-muslim campaign through their weekly $250 sale gifts,
i can provide my shopping bills that am eligible for the free gift and i can mention the name of the front desk lady if asked.
Thanks.
The customer knew what the gift would be and should not have participated if she does not want that particular gift, or she can pass the gift to a friend. For example, if a vegetarian won the gift, the gift should still be a turkey. Prizes cannot be personalized to the individual's personal values.

unhelpful customer service
Hi. I went to to superstore saint james winnipeg manitoba. I shop worth $275 and because of that i get a free item. The problem is the free item is a 1kg bunny chocolate which is ok if im not allergic. So i ask the customer service if i could claim it next week instead because i wont be able to eat it and it will go to waste. But the customer service is not even helpful and just keep forcing me to take the chocolate.
gluten free products and organic products together
Good Morning,
I'm just writing to inform that I think superstore has done a wonderful job adding a gluten free and organic food aisle. It helps me to find my products faster.
However, I have celiac disease and I am several allergic to gluten. In the last two years I have grabbed two products that were organic by mistake because:
1.they are in the same freezer as gluten free products
2.the labels of the packages appear similar
I confused waffles and hamburger buns.
This has caused me aching stomach pains because I absorbed gluten. Anyways I hope suprestore will look into separating organic and gluten foods. Gluten is a severe allergy that ppl have and organic is a lifestyle people choose to live with.
Please help separate those foods into two different freezers
Thank you
cashier
I visited Real Canadian Superstore on March 25, 2017. I purchased 2 containers of organic yogurt and presented the cashier with 2 separate manufacturer coupons valued at $.50 each for these items, which stated on the coupon 1 per purchase. The cashier told me I can only use one and I tried to tell her that I always use 2 coupons when I have purchased 2 containers and I have never had a problem, but she still would not allow it. The only way to use the other coupon was to split my order. It wasn't until I got home that I realized that by splitting the order it actually cost a lot more as the yogurts were on a special of buy 2/6.98 rather than the $4.48 each, that I ended up paying. As well, I missed out on the PC Plus points on the second order. I am not normally a consumer that complains about much, but I was very frustrated with this cashier and I didn't have the time to argue with her. I have been using coupons for many years and don't normally have any issues. I would appreciate it if the staff members are made aware of how coupons work and if they are unsure, then they should contact a senior member that could help.
clerk
Today Saturday at 13:30 I was there as I'm all ways do to get fuel and lottery.
However I was treated like a idiot by the clerk.
I would appreciate a little more respect as I'm 64 years old.
As far I'm concerned this Yong clerk should be removed from that activities as if not i will advertise on line regarding the quality of service offer by the Superstore gas station.
produce
I'm so frustrated. I have been shopping at superstore for years, and whenever I have to purchase produce, I always end up with at least one item that goes bad quickly. I decided to use click and collect yesterday, and while it is super convenient and the man handling my order was amazing, I ended up with raspberries that were covered in mold. I also ended up with carrots that had gone bad. It's so frustrating because I have a family to feed, and I end up with old produce. Not only is the produce sub par, I ended up unknowingly purchasing a product that had been recalled. When I went to bring the product back to the store, I was not allowed to get my money back because I didn't have he receipt. This is ridiculous. So many products from superstore (presidents choice products) have been recalled. I am seriously contemplating not returning because it doesn't matter which superstore I go to, I always end up with horrible produce. Please try and stick your stores efficiently with better produce. You are losing customers fast because of this. The price point is great, but if I end up with produce that has gone bad it isn't worth saving the extra money. It just ends up in the garbage anyway. I realize that I live in Canada and we don't have an abundance of fresh fruit and veggies, but I always make sure to purchase what is in season to ensure it's freshness. I can honestly say that I am never satisfied with the produce I purchase at superstore.
club pack bread
Hi there,
I live in Chilliwack, BC. I have been a proud customer of Superstore for a very long time. Mostly because I am a vegan and you offer many products that I can purchase for myself and my vegetarian family. I especially love your natural aisle. I find the natural products cater to a mother like myself who only wants natural, wholesome, toxin free foods and products that are chemical free. My family is large, I have 4 children and a husband who eats like a horse. So I spend a lot of money at your store. The other day, my husband and I bought some of your club pack bread products for our home. It seemed like an amazing deal, 4 loaves of bread for $5. For a family of my size, deals matter. I normally read labels, but did not think to do so until today. That is when I found out that your club pack products have some really scary products in them. First, they aren't vegan (this is not the issue although I don't see why this is necessary to put in bread). What really scared me was that you put TBHQ in your bread. This is an additive to food that preserves its shelf life. Your label says (antioxidant) which is misleading. Although it is classified as such, it is not a healthy antioxidant such as the one found in plant based foods. A well-designed government study found that this additive increased the incidence of tumors in rats. And according to the National Library of Medicine, cases of vision disturbances have been reported when humans consume TBHQ. They also cite studies that have found TBHQ to cause liver enlargement, neurotoxic effects, convulsions, and paralysis in laboratory animals. It has also been linked to human behavioural issues such as ADHD.
My ask of you is that you remove this additive from your bread products. I will be boycotting your store and will spread the word to my online mom groups if you refuse my request. You might think that I am just one voice, but with 4 children I am deeply involved in online mom groups and my voice is well respected. These groups consist of 150-800 moms per group across Canada. That is a lot of moms who I have known for many years. You can mark my words that I can impact the sales of at least your bakery. I do not mean to come across as threatening, but I also don't take lightly you poisoning the population of Canada and increasing the demands of our health care system in order to save a few bucks. TBHQ is cheap and it preserves your food, but that is not worth the lives and health of our fellow citizens. Please stop the use of this additive in our foods. I expect a response back to this message as soon as possible. I look forward to hearing your plans to change this unhealthy and dangerous practice.
Sincerely,

food items
This has been going on for about a year at the Real Canadian Superstore located in Strathroy Ontario. They have been selling food items that are toxic and have caused my family and friends great illness. I don't know if they are not preserving the groceries in the correct manner or if chemicals are spilling into the grocery items while the employees clean the supermarket. But this issue has come to my attention and I feel that as a consumer I have the responsibility to address this matter to the complaints department. Two of my cousins have ended up in the hospital and another friend of mine has been hospitalized for the past year. Something needs to be done about the Superstore at this location or else I fear what will happen to the residents of Strathroy who shop at this location. I request that the board investigate this supermarket to make sure that the food items are safe and can be consumed by customers without them having to risk their lives. Please take my complaint seriously and investigate this supermarket as soon as possible.
unethical behavior
Hi Corinda here i had talked to the RCMP on March 18 th 2017 and they talked to the pharmacy staff and i am convinced that the staff lied to the RCMP by saying there was a glich in the computer to say that my pills were picked up. My pills were picked up on March 16th 2017 at 830 pm while i was atwork . Found out morning of March 17th at 1130 when i went to pick up my Proplolnol 80 pills .
I am sorry to say but, if it was just the computer glich the pills would be on thier several medication pick up spots, and the pills were not there at all, i witnessed the pharmacist counting out my pills and bottled it, without
the papers that go into the bag explaining the medication. The pharmacist and pharmacist assistant both had worried looks on thier faces, as i know they can be in very big trouble for giving out pills to the wrong person .
I am emailing you to let you know that the person they gave to has my pills, i saw them and this person is a pill dealer, she steals pills and other drugs to sell . This person also said that you delivered my pills to my house, but
1: store has never delivered to me at all, and they wouldnt leave the pills with a niehbour ( hopefully not ) but i am wondering, with her statement of the delivery, i realized that she does have them.
2: she stole my information from my place and a empty pill bottle, when she looked after my cat who had surgery, while i was at work for 4 hrs.
3: this person has stole from your store many times, and other stores and civilains, as i saw on her criminal record, she gets her prescription from her doctor and 2 hrs later they are sold then she steals from anyone, she has stole my seroquel 100 mg 3 month supply.
When talking to RCMP and they said that it was a glich i knew it wasnt at all for the facts i just wrote, and i feel like i am not taken seriously by your store and RCMP, makes me sick
that staff in a pharmacy can lie so easy, so they dont loose thier jobs, integrity in your store is awfull .
I see now that the staff has no accountability for thier mistakes, i know for a fact that since the person who got my pills will continue as she knows that the pharmacy doesnt check ID, which i think they should from now on.
When this happens again with me or others i hope that they dont kill someone for giving out other peoples meds .
I will never shop thier again and my meds with be filled some where else and if this is not taking care of professionally, accountability, instead of blaming it on technology, and admitt to all authorities
your ### up i will put this complaint in all media out there and newspapers !
People need to know its thier right to protect themselves.
Thanks i guess
fruit products
The fruits looks attractive when you see them, but you cut them to consume they are very disgusting and i end up throwing them out. This has been going on for quite few years now and i am not going to purchase any fruits any more. I taught the company cares about the customers they serve, but in contrary they are here to make money with out any consideration to our health or well being. Please see the picture to understand what i am complaining about.
so fresh unsweetened vanilla almond milk
Hi,
I shop at the Superstore on Weston Road every week.
I went grocery shopping in the evening on March 17/17. The almond milk in the natural foods cooler was all out of stock. So I settled for buying a small Almond Breeze unsweetened vanilla almond milk.
I went back to the Superstore at 11:30am, Sunday March 19 in the hopes that the almond milk would be restocked. And guess what? Still the same situation as Friday...no almond milk in the cooler.
I went to customer service to ask when the So Fresh unsweetened vanilla almond milk would be restocked and the person in the natural food section said they have it in stock, they just haven't put it out yet. The customer service lady told m to come back tomorrow. Really?
What is that? How long does it take to restock your cooler/shelves?
Absolutely ridiculous!
This sucks as I had to settle again and purchase unsweetened vanilla cashew milk.
I would like a reply by a call back, [protected] or an email at [protected]@msn.com.

meat department
I love the Strathroy RCSS, I think everyone there is wonderful and super friendly..except for one man at the meat department. He is incredibly rude and refuses to serve me when I go there. Do you know how it feels to feel like you are bothering someone? It is very uncomfortable and I would like this to be addressed. He stares me down as he walks by and truly feel like he hates me. I am not sure what I have done to have him treat me this way. i don't know his name but he is very tall and a bigger man. No customer should have to feel unwelcome.
credit card sales
I was shopping on Mar 17th 2017 at conferderation park region superstore in Saskatoon, SK, Canada. One inside credit card sales approached me. I politely refused his request for application for PC credit card, but he keeps on selling the credit card to me, which makes me feel very disturbed. This is not the first time I have met aggressive credit card sales in Superstore, and since 2016 I have met many different ones at the same location. I deeply understand and respect the idea of face to face credit card selling, however, sales people should respect the time of customer as well. I have remembered one of the credit card sales even asked me "why not " (not march 17th) when I refused to have one PC credit card, and I really want to tell him"it is none of your business". Aggressive sales only makes me have negative feeling about PC credit card.
farmers market lemon meringue pie
Bought the pie today and it reads ready to serve and when I brought it home and cut it it was frozen solid very disappointed. Why would it be frozen when it states ready to serve. I was unaware that you even froze your pies. I always shop at this store for freshness and am really going to second guess my decision, if your pies are frozen when they are suppose to be fresh what else is wrongly labelled...?
