Real Canadian Superstore less product in the box than described

March 6, 2018.

I have purchased a box of Presidents Choice Club Pack Sweet and Salty chewy bars. As described on the box it says it comes with 18 bars. 9 peanut and 9 almond. Upon opening the box I realized there was a lot of empty space. The box only contained 12 bars. That's only 66% of the product that I purchased.

As a University student this upsets me very much. I chose to shop at your retail stores because of the competitive pricing and variety of products. My budget is specific and small, as any other customer I expect 100% of the product of which I have purchased to be given to me. Unfortunately I have misplaced my receipt but still find it of value to send it a complaint so that this issue can be resolved. Personally resolved for myself and for any other customers who are potentially going to purchase this specific product.

I would like to be contacted for further information.

Thank you.

Real Canadian Superstore the pharmacy

I have a complaint in regards to the pharmacy at superstore. Prescriptions should be very confidential yet, on many occasions I had the pharmacy at superstore talk to my family about which medications I'm taking. That s just not right. I had my mom freak out on me and that shouldn't have even happened. It's personal information and should not be given up at ease.

Real Canadian Superstore halal food assortment

I went to Calgary Trail superstore in Edmonton to buy newly introduced Zabihah Halal Pizza on March 04, 2017. I was pissed off when i saw that halal stuff is being stocked next to Pork dumplings! I mean halal is halal for a reason, they have so good selection of halal and non halal meats and meat products but they got this one spot to keep pork and halal together. Why on earth you will do that? Never made a purchase...

Real Canadian Superstore unethical behavior by cashier

Date of incident: 01MAR17 @ 2:27 pm
Store # 02800 Term Z028004C Slip # 770000 REG 4
Location 2549 Weston Road, Toronto, Canada
Manager: Aaron Kornacki

Description of incident: I, the customer am a minority Caucasian Canadian. The cashier was brown skin, continued to carry a conversation with another brown skin man that was standing behind her at a closed register station. This man appeared to be a friend of the cashier. The cashier had her head continuously turned, facing the man behind her, continued to visit, while casually grasping for grocery items as she felt them come to her on the conveyor belt to be scanned in between her sentences. She was not concentrating on what she was doing, as the line up of people continued to increase at register number 4.
Luckily, these people are being gradually replaced by "do-it-yourself" check-outs, similar to what the "Fortinos" grocery store has.
I asked this cashier to focus on what she was doing. She then teamed up with the man she was talking too, and both claimed I was rude.
Do yourself a favor and send this lady to the warehouse so she can't be distracted.

Real Canadian Superstore clams/seafood department

Superstore in Duncan B.C Canada, hasn't had fresh clams for the past month and a half. They have been a regular product and each time I call they just answer me with "we dont know when their coming". Whom'ever is in charge of the seafood department needs to put more effort into the product ordering or at least give viable reasons why the product is not in. Other stores in my city all still are carrying clams but I like to support superstore but I am most likely going to take my seafood business to the other retailers.

Real Canadian Superstore scam

Every single time I am at any Real Canadian superstore, this sadistic company would rather watch me struggle to carry my groceries than offer me a cart. I am sorry that my career does not pay me in loonies (i have requested but they refuse) so i am unable to rent a cart. As i attempt to carry my (on average 38 pound) load in a tiny green basket. I watch in Awe at the more fortunate costumers as they roll with such ease around the store. A very desirable solution to this all too common probably would be to have the carts available to all costumers not just the ones lucky enough to have spare change. If i was purchasing the cart i could understand but i am not. I have no need for a cart outside of superstore shopping. And i refuse to purchase a token shaped like a loonie, what a scam.

This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

At Fort McMurray Super store Alberta province there is always electronic and other items are on sell, particularly after Christmas when we are trying to buy them, they are out of stocks in the morning at 7.15AM !!!?. It appears to me the employees themselves buys or hides those sell items, and regular customer are not getting any benefits of the sell.

Real Canadian Superstore pharmacy service

Pharmacy transaction: Feb 8, 2017 15:27
Pharmacy Asst/Tech: Filza, 853

I am writing to complain about the rude manner which in which I was treated at the Pharmacy. I was there to buy medicine. When it was time to pay, Filza said it costs $29. So I knew that my insurance wasn't used. Filza stated my insurance it was expired. When I asked about my husband's insurance. She rambled on about my not giving her about the information up front and proceeded to give me a lecture -- until I stopped her.

When people go to the Pharmacy, they are already dealing with some kind of sickness. Filza is obviously not cut out to be dealing with people. On the other hand her co-worker, Melissa, Pharmacist gave me service with a smile. Candy, Managing Pharmacist is equally as great.

I wouldn't come back if someone like Filza at the front lines. I took the time to write a feedback. Just how many will just walk away and result in lost business?

Thank you in advance.
Teri

Real Canadian Superstore staff

I asked one of the customer service people at Heritage Superstore in Calgary for assistance as I wanted to hire a carpet cleaner. The lady I spoke to was called Carol. She was a middle aged white lady (I only mention race /age/gender to describe this person accurately they are unimportant ) and clearly did not wAnt to be bothered by customer requests. When I spoke to her in a polite way she glared at me and said that product was not available. She turned away and I called her and said I Am not done with my inquiry. She was quite angry and said "well I am done with you I don't know how many different ways I can give you the same answer" she said she was going on a break. All we wanted to ask was oils we book a carpet machine in advance! She was sour tempered and very rude also her nails were extremely dirty. Another lady came to assist as she could see things were escalating. This lady was totally different apologizing for carols behaviour and helped us. I mentioned that carol was rather a grody looking woman and her nAils were dirty but the lady helping us said although other complaints had come in (about carol) nothing would be done. Are they so desperate for staff they would hire a person like this?

Real Canadian Superstore president's choice organics homogenized milk

I just noticed this morning that the last bag from my 4L bag of milk was sour and the really unfortunate thing is that this is my 23 month old sons milk that he drinks from daily and I didn't notice until after he had already consumed some.

The milk was dated February 7th and it was purchased through online click and collect on January 21st, order #[protected]. It was just recently opened yesterday and has been kept in the refrigerator consistently.

I have never experienced this before so I am concerned that it may not have been kept at the proper temperature during packing of my order, although I didn't notice a problem with the previous bags of the same package.

I am very upset and concerned as I am aware that this could make him very sick and I am just hoping that it doesn't.

At this point I'm hesitant to continue with click and collect for my groceries even though I did enjoy the convenience of it and I will definitely be taste testing the milk before giving it to my son from now on.

Real Canadian Superstore customer service

Today January 31, 2017 I went into the superstore in Duncan BC to get a few groceries and I was looking for something that I couldn't find and I was trying to get the attention of a couple people who kept ignoring me and continued on with that they were doing. Finally I seen the head store manager and was able to get his attention and had asked him if he knew where the pre packaged gravy was and he barley even slowed down to hear what I had to ask and very rudely had so no I don't. He proceeded to look up at the aisles so I thought that he was going to help me find what I was looking for. He had turned down one of the aisles that I had thought it would have been down so I proceeded to turn around and follow him. another gentlemen got in front of me so I followed him following the manager waiting for him to turn around and acknowledge me which he didn't. He continued to walk down the aisle and straight into the back of the store. He never offered to help me or find someone that could help me. I proceeded to try and find someone else and as I had said excuse me and I once again got eye contact but they continued on and just ignored me. After finding a 4th person in the meat department I finally got an answer to my question. The fact the head store manager was so disrespectful I was appalled. I have never felt so disrespected by a manager at most. I will probably never go back into that store again. I am a customer service person myself and would never think to treat a customer like that ever! it was disgusting and appalling. I would never suggest anyone that I know to ever go there and will probably not go there myself anymore. I don't know what your company can do to change this experience for me

Real Canadian Superstore four slice pc/store brand toaster

Purchased the toaster because I thought it was a great deal. Brought it home but didn't use it right away. We started using it about a month after purchase (it was stored in the box). The first couple of times we used it was okay but after about half dozen uses it wouldn't work properly, the lever would not go down when trying to toast. It was more on one side but then the one side wouldn't go down at all. I went to empty the toaster and as soon as I tried to open the bottom the little tabs/clips broke off that held the bottom door.
I am very unhappy about this I had to go out and buy a new toaster again.
I do not still have the receipt but it is your brand and claims money back guarantee. I would even be happy with a replacement.

Real Canadian Superstore not returning defective product within a week of time limit, also fresh purchase

I am store buyer since 2015 and this visit on Jan 22, 2017 I bought some stuff along with BRAUN THERMOSCAN - a ear thermometer vide SLIP# 381600. After using this thermometer I found out that its reading is quite variable like if you check the temperature 10 times same time you will get it different which I found quite complicated. even it may can differ uptill 1.5 degrees. due to such I called an ambulance once after getting reading of 105.5 degrees F in my son who is 4 years old. when ambulance came they checked it and it was 104.3 so I found this thermometer not accurate and decided to return it.

Also I specifically wants to mention that when I was buying the product I straight went to the store's customer care and asked I wants to buy this thermometer but not sure about its performance. she checked and told me that I can return it within 14 days with box If any problem.

Today Jan 29, 2017 I went to weston road store and met a blonde lady named kelly on customer service desk who refused to return it by saying that if its opened it will not be returned back, I mentioned everything to her and as it is within the time limit of return policy she still refused. I works monday to saturday and have only sunday off even I bought it on last sunday but she didn't listened my plea and said come tomorrow talk to manager I cant take it.

I also found that same time another lady who was white and returning few stuff she didn't even asked any question. I found that store has very strong act of racism as I am Asian not white. I think other stores like walmart and all they dont have anything like that.

Is that real canadian is not for people who have came from other countries, is that just for only canadians who are white. I think this act of racism is a big shame to such store which really need to be published in media. OR if your store doesn't have such policies then some action need to be taken.

I have been visiting Costco and walmart over the past couple of years and found they have very very clean policies especially they dont do any shameful act like Racism. Its a multi-cultured country.

I request the management and other authorities of this company that Please stop Racism in stores.
i dont mind if my purchase returns or not but racism is really serious thing.

I have shopping here since long but never returned anything so far. it was disappointing to me.

still wish you best of luck and may never visit your stores in future and make others aware.

Real Canadian Superstore bad products. chicken and cookies

2 weeks ago my husband picked up 2 super packs of chicken breast. When he brought them home he nearly vomited while he opened the packaging it smelled so terrible. He promptly returned them for fresh chicken. We were obviously upset but superstore replaced our bad chicken. Now today we went shopping again and bought a bunch including Oreos. Looked which were on sale. We had company and put them out for everyone including kids. Once we started eating them we al found they tasted a bit funny... what do you know more bad/expired food. More than a week expired. This is absolutely disgusting ! I'm not one to complain but this is down right ridiculous, I trust your store and the last while you have proved to me that I really shouldn't. I'd like something to be done about this, I can be contacted at [protected]@hotmail.com

Thank you

Cashier told us that we have to pick up free gift in Customer service. We went there and woman who works there told us that free gift is not Tide fabric and that free gift is 18 kg rice.Wtf?!Me, my boyfriend and my mum couldn't belive that what she said-18 kg rice for free gift.I said to my boyfriend :that has to be joke.I asked woman that works at Customer service why we didn't get Tide frabic free gift how it says on flyer and free coupoun and she said we dont have Tide fabric anymore.Wtf?! That was really dissapointed. We spend 361, 39$ and free gift is 18 kg rice not Tide fabric how it writes on coupoun.Very humilianting! You are making a fools from your customers! If in flyer and on free coupoun writes that free gift for spending 250$ is Tide fabric than I and every customer has right to get Tide fabric and not stupid rice! I went with my family first time to your store to buy grocery, but that was our first and last time that we were in some of your stores buying anything. We will not buy anything in your store ever again. So humilianting I didn't feel in my entire life. We didn't want to take this rice as a free gift, we left it there because we were angry, dissapointed and very very humiliated.I live in Canada for a long time but that was the first time that I was feeling so humiliated and you are quilty for that.If we new that you are acting with your customer like that, making fools from them and humiliating them we would never come to your store.

Real Canadian Superstore front end department consistency

I am always price matching products but the policy at the Metrotown Superstore in Burnaby is very inconsistent I find. The cashiers do not all seem to know how the price matching policy works and I am constantly being told different rules when I try price matching items. I use to work for Superstore as a cashier and I know the rules but when I try to explain how it is suppose to work or what items should qualify, I get wildly different response depending on which cashier I am talking to. If the rules have changed or are different at different stores then I understand that, but I am finding it hard to get a consistent set of rules for price matching which usually means I have to leave items I would have liked to purchase because the rule I was told the week before is being rejected by a different cashier. Its very frustrating that no one seems to know the rules. Or understand them properly.

Real Canadian Superstore chicken family deal

Purchased a chicken family meal yesterday Jan 20, 2017. Was a bit disappointed with the significant increase in price, oh but you get a baguette now. However, I'm actually complaining about the sauce that is now served with the chicken, a hot piri piri sauce. My son who loves when we get this meal, loved the St. Huberts BBQ sauce, however he can not handle hot sauce. So therefore he can not eat it. Maybe you can give people another option instead of hot sauce? Even a packet of BBQ sauce would be better than hot sauce.

Real Canadian Superstore unethical behavior

I am writing today after visiting the Real Canadian Superstore in Whitby (on Baldwin) yesterday around 2pm.

As I stood waiting for my husband near the prepared salad kiosk, I witnessed one of your employees carrying many new prepared salads to put as stock for purchase. She dropped two on the ground that opened up, spilling on the floor. The employee then put the pieces of lettuce that fell out back into the container and placed the prepared salad in the space with all the other prepared salads for sale.

I couldn't believe it! And I can honestly tell you that now that I've seen that I will NEVER purchase a prepared salad again - ANYWHERE!

Just thought you should know so that it can be properly and firmly advised to the staff how to treat the food that is for paying customers.

Real Canadian Superstore pc brand

I have now purchased a second bottle of PC "Peach Juice" from 2 separate superstores where the juice tasted like medicine. This is very concerning as okay I can see maybe we had a bad bottle one time, but to happen again? 1 bottle was bought from the Lac la Biche Independent store and one was from the Superstore in Clareview Edmonton.

Would like to be reimbursed for the 2 bottles as they are now 4.68$ each. Also would like someone to look into this if there has been complaints about this juice.

Real Canadian Superstore management

This complaint is specifically about the Red Deer Superstore in AB.
Empty shelves is the motto of this location where they are continuously out of stock on items. Not just days, but 3 weeks or a month seems common practise
And not just one item but a barrage of them. It is the worst managed Super store I have set foot in and it has been going on for years.
