pharmacy
Waited an hour at the pharmacy for a prescription, the lady told me they didn't have the prescription after a huge line up and wait. I asked for the other brand like the other pharmacy did at the last place. She was very rude and agreed. She told me the other lady had my prescription. I went to see her and she was still taking other clients and ignoring me...

We visited the Superstore today, December 13th, 2016 at 17:44/5:44pm and were appalled by the terrible customer sevice from the cashier, Annette. She did not greet us and other customers in a friendly manner, she did not scan our PC Points card, and she did not hand us the receipt. We have had other, similar previous experiences with her and will try to avoid her in the future.
unethical behaviour
Hi, I am a former employee of Real Canadian Superstore from Alberta and a customer as of now. We moved from Alberta to Ontario, and my union members and store manager told me to go and have talk with some store managers in Ontario about this situation. Yesterday, Dec 11, 2016 I went to RCSS at 85 Steeles Ave West Brampton, ON L6Y 0B5 to talk to manager. When I went there the Front End supervisor went on about applying online and wasn't ready to hear me out. She was helping another customer so I told she can help that customer first and then I want to talk to her. She continuously said the same thing about applying online, when I interrupted her to say "can I talk to the Manager" she yelled at me saying she was the supervisor. She lost her patience very soon to say this customer service is good. I've goon to other superstore's around this location and they treated us with respect and it was nice to see and felt like home. However I do live in Brampton so that location is near, and the customer service is terrible, I was front end assistant manager and we never treated others like that so I wasn't expecting it happening to me. In conclusion If she treated me like this she probably yells at customers too.
bad management and policies
I went to this 1755 Brimley road location today (December 3, 2016) at 9:30 p.m. Upon arriving, I noticed that the locaton was messy and unorganized. Merchandise was all over the place. The staff were standing around talking, not much work was being done. We went to the cashier, she ran out things and we packed our cart and proceeded to leave through the doors we can (2 entrances/exits). We noticed that signs were in our way so we moved them (we walked by employees but they said nothing to us). Once we got to the exit, we realized that the signs were up because they had closed off the entrance/exit. We went back around to the other exit on the other side of the parking lot away from our vehicle. There were no signs up stating that they lock doors at certain times. Once we arrived at our vehicle, we saw about 7 individuals walk to the locked entrance/exit and leave wondering if the store was closed. Im confused as to why certain doors are locked over 1.5 hours before closing. Im also confused as to why you would allow such policies when customers are going and leaving once they see the doors are locked.
package no name carrots
I've just returned from RCSS on Weston Road and 401. No Frills on Albion Road is my "go to" store, as the selection is wide, the prices are good, and the quality and freshness of items is commendable. I dropped into RCSS today, as it was convenient and has, I thought, a good reputation for quality, even though I think it's much more costly than NF. Amongst a number of seasonal items, meat and potatoes I bought a cello package of carrots for $1.49- the price was attractive.
When I brought the groceries home I opened the carrots to store them in my cold cellar. The first one I grabbed was slimy and rotten. A number of others were in the same condition.
The photo was taken after they had been washed and partially scraped. The smaller pieces were from carrots that were otherwise ok.
I realize that they are an inexpensive item, but when shopping at RCSS I expect a minimum level of freshness and edibility. I think a refund and and an honest assurance that more care would be taken with preparation is appropriate.
Sincerely,
Barbara Evers

bad quality of fruits
Good Evening Sir/Madam
I am a frequent grocery buyer at superstore located at hwy#10 and steeles in Brampton, ON.
I purchased the grocery on Nov 27, 2016 for amount of $92.06 under ref # [protected]. The fruits i.e. Blackberry, grapes, strawberry gets afftected by algae in a day and result is so bad that everyone at my home is suffering from the stomach problem.
I would like to request you to please give a look into the matter, So other customer should not get affected by this.
forcing customers to buy multiple items to obtain sale price
I have always hated buying more then I need but I can afford to do so. I think your multiple purchase policy is discriminatory, and mean spirited. I came across a senior citizen looking at the butter section. He was clearly upset that he had to buy 3 pounds of butter @ $3.98. or pay $4.78 for one pound. He shared that he could only spend $50.00 per week on food. $12.00 for butter was not an option. He then had me check out bread and every loaf and brand except the expensive ones were 'buy 2 loaves' or pay regular price.
This was in a store that serves an area with a large low income population of families. I can't imagine how they manage their small budgets and take advantage of sale prices in your stores.
Service
Ive been a loyal shopper of superstore chilliwack for over a decade i got off work from the barbershop and went into superstore to grab sum salad for dinner there was a female east Indian security guard she was eyeing me up and gave me a dirty look wen i walked in the entrance i was not impressed and felt discriminated against because of my pink n black hair and tattoos i was dressed nicely, , on my way out after going through self check out that same brownn security girl guard stopped me she was rude humiliated me in front of everyone i looked at her and said omg are you serious ?!? I said why me its my hair and tattoes i told her im no skid and im not broke and she discriminated against me because of my looks that would be like me acusing her of being a terrorist cuz shes brown! Im seriously pissed off as a loyal consumer ive spent thousands of dollars over the past decade in your store and this has left a very bad taste in my mouth in reguards to me wanting to continue to shop in your store ever again
manager and my doll delightful dollhouse display
Dear Superstore,
I felt the need to express my disappointment with the toy display while visiting the Clareview Superstore this afternoon. Imagine a little girl anxiously approaching the toy section with her money saved from Birthdays. Imagine the sparkle in her eyes when she stands in front of the most wonderful dollhouse, believing it to be $69 as this is the price displayed above a stack of 10 dollhouses.. she drags the dollhouse half way across the store to the register, filled with absolute joy..as she has found the perfect gift to purchase with the saved $75 clutched in her tiny hand...only to be utterly disappointed, absolutely deflated, when the cashier tells her that the cost of the dollhouse is actually $249! She doesn't have enough after all..she will not being home the dolllhouse that she already envisioned her Barbies spending their afternoons..playing.
I went to customer service and asked to speak to a manager. A very small balding man with a moustache, in his 40's arrived in a grey shirt, no name tag. I expressedto him how My children and I were mislead by the strategy of this dollhouse display, I showed him a photo. He pointed to the word from and abruptly informed me that this advertising was completely legal..legal? legal was never my concern..I found the misleading display to be immoral not illegal. I had hoped that the grocery store I had shopped at would feel strongly enough about their products, their merchandise, that they would not have to stoop to tasteless marketing gimmicks..I had hoped this was an oversight, and was disappointed to say the least, disappointed to hear that this visual pricing was intentional, disappointed to receive his abrupt response, as he turned on one heel to simply walk away from me..after informing me that it was "legal". I'm sure the little girls who will be let down by this display format will take great confit in knowing that it was "legal"
Sincerely,

thai noodle salad
I purchased a Thai Noodle Salad from your Newmarket location today for lunch and when I got back to work with it, it was hard and stale. It must have been sitting out overnight with chicken in it. Half of it wasn't edible and the other half I was afraid to eat. That left me with nothing for lunch today, a waste of my time and money. This makes me very worried to ever purchase food from your stores again if that's how the food is going to be treated.
pc financial
The man who was promoting the PC financial card at the Courtenay BC branch of superstore was more than rude. I told him right off the bat very politely that I wasn't interested. He approached & cornered me in an aisle not giving me a chance to walk away. I told him 50 times at least that I wasn't interested. He then practically called me stupid & insulted my intelligence because I didn't want to sign up for your credit card. I already have 2 & said I don't want another. He badgered me for 10 minutes at least & would not let me be or get by him. This infuriated me extremely. This is harassment, & I don't enjoy being cornered when I come in for groceries. & to call me stupid after not wanting it just made me more angry. I was never rude to him in any way & stayed polite. But I was close to telling him off. This was the evening of November 5th 2016. I am not pleased, & actually very unimpressed with this. I am very displeased with this customer service.
lack of several products on the store shelves
Visited your location at Highland Hills Mall on Sunday September 25th mid day.
I was appauled at the lack of product on the shelves... looked like we were living in a war ravaged country. Not to mention how filthy the store is. We don't make a habit of shopping on Sunday, but Sunday has been a regular shopping day for several years now so don't believe there is any reason why regular day to day products are not on the shelves. Went into the store looking for approx 10 items and we were able to find 2 items. Please note that these were everyday items and nothing special or on sale. After this experience, we have no problem switching shopping stores and are pretty much done with Loblaws - as a fair number of your Zehrs locations are no better. They have really gone down hill with products and cleanliness. Have recently frequented a Food Basics, and quite frankly they are much better when it comes to customer service, cleanliness and availability of products.
accusing of theft
I've been shopping at the real canadian superstore (weston road and hw 401) for almost 3 years. I buy all kinds of items from there (groceries, clothing, appliances, shoes etc) and is my go-to for all kinds of items. So today I went there and bought groceries, clothes and shoes for my 2 and 3 year old children. As I was putting the items on the table from my baby stroller, my daughter started crying and as I was making her stop crying, I forgot a pair of shoes in the back of the stroller. As I paid for the rest of my items (it totalled to approx. 70 dollars) I left the store, and on my way out I was stopped by one of the security guards and he pointed out to me that I had an unpaid item in my stroller. I apologized and decided to pay for it but he refused and took the item with him, saying that it shouldn't be a problem since he was aware I have two small children with me, and that i am a frequent shopper at the store, he dismissed me. However on my way out, the manager of the store came up and told me to come back, and that he will call the police on me accusing me of theft. Why would I steal a pair of shoes worth approx. 30 dollars when I've just spent 70 dollars, not to mention throughout this week only I spent almost 300 dollars at their store...they started calling me names, and insisted that i am a criminal. The police arrived and demanded I open my face and show them my face (I wear a niqab) but I refused and insisted a female come to check my identity. He got upset, and when the female officer arrived they were insulting me to each other and calling me names as well. They took all my information and booked a court date for me as well as a letter of accusition. I was a very frequent shopper but I think it's going to be my last time at this store
girl's pants - incorrect pricing
I purchased a pair of tights for my 5-year old girl at the Oakville Superstore (Trafalgar and Dundas intersection) in Ontario. There were at least 30 or 40 similar pairs on the racks and all of them were priced at $8, as per the price tag.
At self checkout, the scanned price came up as $10. Obviously, I questioned the attendant and asked for an adjustment. She had to consult with a floor lady, and the floor lady's comment was: "some people change the price tag to a lower price." I was standing beside the checkout attendant the whole time. She gave me a dirty look -- I'm a minority. She asked the attendant to match the UPC code per the price tag to that sewed onto the pants. Of course, both codes matched.
Next, the floor lady said: "Just give the $2 to her".
Really? Not a single apology AFTER YOU CONFIRMED IT'S YOUR PRICING ERROR!
I had my little girl with me at the store and did not want to argue with the lady in front of my little one.
I just want to make it clear that Canadians live in a multi-cultural society nowadays. If Superstore employees cannot accept that, then either you should not be working there or go find a place where it's 100% your race.
Shame on you, Superstore employee! I hope people like yourself do not make it up the corporate ladder.

harassed by weirdo/psychopathic 'manager'
This indian guy approached me and started yelling at me as to why I put the stuff, I was not interested in buying. He yelled at me saying, 'why are you not buying it?' I was shocked at his rude behavior. So I replied back to him, saying 'because I don't want to buy it'. That's all I ever said! He told me that 'I will teach you a lesson’ and I will 'take revenge on you', saying 'I am the manager'... Like you just earn merely $5 more than minimum so stop acting like you are ceo or something... Seriously wtf?
Serious psychopath!
My complaint to loblaws head office did not do anything so I had to file police report against him as he was acting way too creepy. One of the most bizarre incidents on my life. I spent more than $200 per week in that store. Glad to say that I will give that money to another non-loblaws stores. They have lost my business for all of their stores!
rude customer service
A severely disabled man needed some help and was waiting for some attention from who we later found out was the "customer service manager", that was chatting and joking with a group of young staff. The disabled man was visibly having discomfort, and he was looking for help with something. He was with a walker, not in a wheel chair, and should have been noticed in line. My husband and I couldn't stand it, we helped the man by getting what he needed off a top shelf for him, halfway across the big store. As customers, we found this disturbing, and said so. We were treated to strange looks when we approached this manager to explain what we saw, and his only comment was "oh".
Fruit - Fresh strawberries
My complaint is about a box of strawberries I purchased from superstore this weekend, this purchase was such a disappointment, I almost wasted 10 minutes trying to search for a proper box as most the boxes on the shelf had rotten strawberries in them, oh well never the less I thought I had purchased a good box but to my shock my box too had so many rotten strawberries all placed in the middle, my family was only able to eat a few the first day by Sunday which was the only next day all the strawberries had molds/ fungus on them .I had to throw out the whole box and nothing was edible, what a waste of my hard earned money specially in these tough economic times. What a disappointment thought I would share that I am never again purchasing strawberries every again from Superstore.
watch your receipt
Always double check your grocery receipt because if you shop here, you are at high risk of being overcharged.
Yesterday, I was charged $12.50 for a loaf of Healthy Harvest bread. On the same receipt, the one lemon I purchased was charged as an avocado at $1.78.
To add insult to injury, I requested a $20 cashback and did not receive it. Had to go to customer service, wait in a long lineup and was not even offered an apology by the teenaged customer service 'robot'.
richmond road store is filthy
We have decided to shop at a smaller but cleaner store. Seeing people push their 8 year olds sitting in the box of the cart while eating is disrespectful and it's disgusting when you find (hopefully)
dog poop on your yogurt, as we once did.
The only way to keep your foodstuffs clean is to lay down some flyers. Metro carts are much cleaner and you never see this.
Several customers noticed a leaky pack of chicken on the belt, and the cashier did not bother to clean it up, he just kept going.
The customer in front of me left because she didn't want to put her food on the same belt.
We once saw a wet diaper going on down the belt along with a customer's food, (?) and again, the cashier took no steps to clean it off.
Some very rude exchanges with floor managers, although cashiers are usually very sincere and friendly. This store seems like it was a lot busier in years past.
race discrimination experience
I come from Calgary. Today, it is first time to visit to superstore in Winnipeg. I just moved in here for education reason. I had some question about employment opportunities. However, they even did not listen my question and did not provide the job application. They have negative attitude in front of me. I didn't know that it is the race matter. A few minutes later, one white girl showed up, then the staff gave her job application. Is that normal to discriminate based on race in Winnipeg?
