Ross Dress for Less bad customer service

On the evening of June 13th I was in your Ross store in Cypress Texas. There were so many customers standing in line and only two cashiers. Customers were obviously upset of the slowness and number of the cashiers working. Then one of the cashiers just walked away from her register and that left only one with a very long line. This is not good customer service. It appeared that none of the employees cared. This store is loosing money if they continue to treat their customers in this manner. Someone needs to go to this store and retrain these employees on good customer service. This store is in a great location to make money for your company but this will not happen if customers dread the wait time and would rather shop at another store. I felt you need to know about this location.

Ross Dress for Less customer service complaint

Well I went to ross dress for less to return some clothing I had purchased on monday june 11, 2018 and returned them the very next day on tuesday the 12th of june 2018 well I had my receipt in hand and the tags were in tact, I was very polite to this cashier right from the start she was very rude to me she was even getting smart and acting like she was not listening when I was explaining why I was returning the items so she could maybe not put them back on the racks for resale cause the shorts were damaged thats my reason for bringing back... Well sge was really rude all the way around made me wait while she investigated the tags to the clothes, and I asked her is something wrong with the computer is it not reading the barcode on the sunglasses? And she ignored me, so I felt really embarrased cause she was giving dirty looks at the clothes and really making a big seen in front of a line of people, so I respectfully said excuse me miss is there a problem I gave the reciept and I just bought them the day before and the tags are on them and she looked at me and said... Well I wasnt here yesterday! So I dint know... So I said in return excuse me what? And she gave me a blank stare and a disgusted look and took her ear phone out and got really smart and said... I said I wasnt talking j you I was talking to someone in my head piece... So then I said well I guess then and she was so rude and embarrased me as it is I was having a bad day so decided to get out and return some items to air my head out and I got treated like that... The cashier is named tammey shes a big lady with her s* dont stink attitude.. The store is on 2046 south mooney blvd

Ross Dress for Less messy store & lack of customer service

My husband and I went to the ross that is in regency last weekend. It is usually our favorite store to go to because everything is orderly & stocked and clean. When we went it was so shocking how messy the entire store was, nothing was organized and the employees were less than friendly. Except for the cashier that did the checkout, she gave my son stickers and was very nice. Won't be visiting again.

Ross Dress for Less messy store

Walking into the St. John's towncenter today was one of the worst experiences I've ever had inside of a Ross. I am a usual customer of Ross across the nation and today I was disappointed to see merchandise everywhere. Customers leaving merchandise on the floor and nothing being organized. There were multiple isles that had piles of clothing, shoes, hats, belts, etc. After spending just 15 mins in the store I walked out feeling frustrated. I am hoping to see a change in the organization and cleanliness of the Ross stores.

I’ve been in that store this past week as well as the Regency Ross Store in Jax. Fl. I am a stock holder with this company and have had the same experience! Very disappointing to say the least. Regency used to be clean and organized. Now, messy, dirty and associates walk around on there cell phones and ear buds talking. Not welcoming at all! Needless to say, lost my sales in both locations.

Ross Dress for Less returns

My husband bought a pair of shoes for work and they didn't fit right, we had the reciept but no tags and they wouldn't allow a return because they claimed they were used. He wore them around the house for a short amount of time to see how they would be and decided they wouldn't work. This manager only allowed an exchange and not a return, we did not want store credit as we will never shop there again. I never have had an issues with any returns in any other store. The manager was completely uncooperative and didn't care about my business. If I have a reciept and the item I should be able to return within a week of purchase.

Ross Dress for Less service

I was on line got off the line to see some jewelry. One of the employees call the manager and the security guard called the manager she (Ena) walked away walked around then a cashier told her I was waiting she stop spoke to the security and another man before help making wait more then 20 minutes.
I tried on a ring then purchased and choose a ring. She (Ena) stated I had to go back on the line after wait 2o minutes for her to help me. one of the cashier told I was already on the line and Ena argued I should go on line.
I was on lunch and did not have the time to waste.

Furthermore, I have been a regular customer at this particular Ross for more then a year in addition to going to other locations.

As a manager she should be the one trying to defuse the situation instead of inciting an argument with a customer.
This is the first in incident I have ever had since I've been shopping at Ross and I truly hope it's the last.

I will be telling my friends and family no to shop at this store.

Without the customer there would be no Ross and no job for her.

She really need to look around to see how much stores are closing because people do not like dealing with the nasty employees and rather shop online.

Ross Dress for Less service - regarding safety and unclear line

On 5/27/18 i was purchasing a pair of head phones for my son, and a few other items in the south elgin il. Location. I was waiting in the line with my daughter and son next to the line there was an older man with a cart that appeared to be waiting in a line next to me that proceeded to returns register . He proceeded to tell me he was in line before me and would like to cut in front of me because he had an orthodontic boot on . I explained to him that i was in the correct line. He then became very load and angry at me explaining to me he was unable to walk the whole zig zag line. The cashier proceeded to say who ever is next to please step up. I let the man proceed in front of me. After he called me names . I felt my safety and my children's safety was a concern . Especially during times like these where violence is an everyday concern, i did not see any security available or male employees. I also feel like the long zigzag line for the older customer is very difficult, although the older man was fully capable of waiting 2 minutes to proceed in the line he was waiting in.And i am not making excuses for this man because he was very rude and disrespectful. I feel like staff was not apologetic to me . I hope this complaint reaches the president of ross and address the safety issue and unclear line formation for check out.

Ross Dress for Less customer service/managers

The Ross dress for less on Markham in Little Rock has racist managers. They try to fight customers and be rude to them just because they feel like it. They ban and kick people out just because they don't like you or don't wanna clean up a spill you told them about. They getting pay to sit on their butts. The store is dirty and they hang up dirty clothes and when you try to return something you never wore, they refuse because of a stain that was on there before you bought it. As a manager your suppose to handle a situation with discretion and respectful and no insult a customer or cuss them out. That's what the black lady manger and a white lady manager from Markham in Little Rock Arkansas Ross dress for less did. I am a daily customer and to be treated with such disrespect just because a spill they didn't wanna clean up or just because your color is unacceptable whatsoever.

The Markham Ross dress for less in Little Rock, AR has a manager name Alisheah that is African American and a white lady manager and she racist with Hispanics. I was less than 5 minutes in the store and my sister threw up and I told the cashier and the managers started to make fun of my sister and making her feel bad for throwing up and try to make me clean. Alisheah the manager try to throw the napkins at me and saying rude stuff to me and when I was rude back she told the cashier do not check me my little brother out that was just trying to buy some headphones and that We are banned. She said it was her [censored] store and she can kick and ban whoever she wants but this isn't the first time she was rude to me or my family. I felt so disrespected and she tried to fight me. This is unacceptable for a manager to be this disrespectful and immature. She even called the police for the most irrelevant reason.

how can ross employee people that do not understand or speak the English Language, it is absolutely ridiculous this need to be addressed immediately as i will pursue this further. It is very rude for employees to shrub shoulders or say "me dont understand english" well in my opinion if they can say that clearly they speak English in my book and for the latin employees to choose not to speak it is degrading to our nation.

It is obvious that you skipped an English class or two because employ (definition: to give work to someone and pay them for it) is spelled just as I spelled it and not with two "ee's" as you spelled it [censored]! an employee is a person EMPLOYED for wages or salary, especially at nonexecutive level. I guess it is a good thing you don't work at Ross with your illiterate self.

Ross Dress for Less area supervisor behavior

I was at the Ross store in Exton with my 5-year old son. We were having a good time and browsing. It was only 9:30 pm on a Saturday night. One of the floor supervisors, with the name tag Somi, approached me and rudely said that the store is going to close in half hour. She said I'd better hurry up and get a hold of my son. He was not doing anything. When I protested that he was behaving and I still wanted to shop, she said why are you all Mexicans can't just understand? She threatened to call immigration on me as she walked away. I was just so disappointed, hurt, insulted, and scared that I decided to leave without making any purchases. This sort of prejudice and rudeness needs to stop!

Ross Dress for Less service

Hello, I live in Hurst, TX and there is a Ross located here . Let me start off with saying the store is very dirty, I used the restroom and had no soap or toilet paper . The store it self is always a mess, clothes everywhere . I got no customer service there at all . They had 3 employees and when I tried to complain to a manager, the associates did not know where the manager was . The line is always long because the have ONE cashier, that's ridiculous and that is not the first time it's been like this. This company seems to care about the money coming in and not the customer service. I'm outraged by how my experience went and will not be returning there again . Something needs to be done about this b/c many people complain . Thank you !

Ross Dress for Less oldsmar, fl store

The Oldsmar, Fl store is the absolute worst Ross I have been to. They opened maybe a year or two ago and they have had the same merchandise since. Same 6 handbags same old tshirts etc.. I have called and asked who they buyer was because all of the other stores have so much merchandise. This one looks like its going out of business! There is alot of $ in this area and I'm very surprised that this ross is one of the worst. The regional should know better. Would they want to shop in that store? Get some new and fashionable items! Or just New inventory! Or close the store! Its ridiculous. And whoever the manager is should have already fixed this! Go in this store and see first hand what I am talking about. Somebody asked if the store was closing down last time I was in!?

Ross Dress for Less customer service

I am writing to express my concerns about the extremely poor customer service I received from one of your employees while shopping at your store.

On Monday, 05/14/2018 around 5:15 pm, I went to your store located at 3900 Sisk Road, Modesto, CA. When I entered the store, the greeter by the name of Ashley was extremely unprofessional. She had acknowledged the customers who were ahead of me by making eye contact, smiling and speaking to them. On the other hand, I was met with silence and a frown, and she briefly walked away from her station until I passed her by. While walking down the aisles, I stopped and watched how she interact the other customers and they were given the same treatment as the customers ahead of me: eye contact, a smile and a spoken to.

This type of behavior is unacceptable. I hope that the employee will gain better customer service skills in the future.

As far as I know the security wear headsets she could have her alerted of something she needed to attend to in the store such as a broken item, injuried customer a security alarm going off or a spill. I understand your complaint but if you do not know what's going on behind the scenes then there is no where to be able to judge.

Ross Dress for Less service

It is unacceptable to stand in line tying to purchase items and have to wait over 30 minutes. On Saturday, May 12, 2018 after standing 35 minutes in line at the 720 City Ave, Philadelphia, Pa 19151, pay for my items I eventually grew tired and left the store. Prior to leaving I saw seven additional customers depart prior to me. I spoke with an insight manager who informed me he just released a person to break. Unacceptable.
Although I enjoy shopping at Ross, it is highly unlike I will return.

So, your basically saying that if you are working a job you are not entitiled to a break after working several hours? you are also posting about the day that happens to be the day before Mothers day, correct? I mean holiday weekends are crazy to begin with, your choice to go shopping. I would have stayed at home.

After going to three different Ross stores I know we will no longer shop your stores. After taking time finding items needed/wanted and not being able to check out because there's 20 people waiting ahead of you and there is only ONE CASHIER working is ridiculous! I can somewhat understand standing in a long line during the holidays but not all year long!

Ross Dress for Less customer service with the manager complaint

I went into the Simi Valley CA location on 04/29/2018 at 5:06 pm and purchased three pair of shoes and a dress. When we got home we took out all the bags and I noticed my dress was missing. Since it was after hours and the store had closed already I decided to wait and call them at later. Since I work Monday through Friday, and I live in Oxnard 25 minutes away, I called the Simi Valley store on Saturday 05/05/2018 since it was my day off and explain the situation to the Manager. I told her I had made the purchased last Sunday and I noticed I was missing an item. She replied by saying I could go into the store and she would be able to look at the receipt for the time stamp and look at the video for that day. I arrived at the location around 6 pm and met the manager. She took the receipt and said to wait so she can review the video. Ten minutes passed by and she came back stating that she saw all four items go in the bag and that I took all bags with me. Then she continue to state that the bags did not contain any shoes, that I had purchased four items of clothing and there was no evidence of any shoes being purchased. I asked to speak to the Store Manager who was at lunch at the time. Five minuted passed and he arrived to the front desk to assist us. I explained to him the situation and stated what the manager had informed me. I was upset because I explained to him I had the receipt with the purchase items and it clearly stated in the receipt three shoes and I dress and and I wasn't sure what she was talking about. Another 10-15 minutes passed by as he went to the back and reviewed the video once again. Once he arrived he mentioned the previous manager had made a mistake and it was a different customer she had observed in the video. He continued to explain to me that it was clear in the video that there was four items that went into the bag. My issue is that if the receipt has a time stamp why did the first manager mistake my identity with another customer and claimed I didn't purchased those items when it clearly states in the receipt what the items are, especially when you have computers in which you can look up the sku number and identify the merchandise that is being sold. I'm confident that the item was left behind in the cash register and either the associate put it away, or another customer after me took the item. I wasn't satisfied with neither of the Management who assisted me. I don't believe neither of them had a clear picture of the video and they just assumed I took the item. Since the first manager with confidence argued with me that the items I bought that day where not the items I had stated at first. And with the Store Manager he was a little better with his customer service but not so helpful as well. I have spend thousand of dollars purchasing home decor, clothes, furniture, my kids clothes all from Ross Stores for over 10 years. I', sorry to say that this experience has changed my feeling toward this company, especially the Management Staff at this location. I would no longer be going to this Ross and rest assure I will tell all my friends and family about this experience. I have gone to over a dozen Ross Stores around California, and not once have I encounter bad customer service like I did today. I want to thank you for you time and I hope you can trained your Management Team to have more compassion for their customer and a little better customer service.

Ross Dress for Less the store and bathroom

I went to this store for the first time! And I must say it was nasty from the time I enter the store. The floors were nasty, clothes were everywhere on the floor, not to mention I had to use the restroom and one stall had poop all over the toilet and the other stall had urine all over the floor and one of the employees stated that they were just out of order... I'm not sure what's going on but if the compensation is the issue then you need to increase the pay or get rid of the entire staff and get new ones! This store is Hazardous and needs to be shut down and reported to the Health Department...

Ross Dress for Less rude managers

Waukegan Ross - Horrible . Short staffed all the time . One Cashier always . Can't ever find anyone on the sales floor. Store is messy and kids everywhere. Bathrooms never have toilet paper . Dirty and smelly . Toilet paper everywhere on floor and poop . Managers are the laziest people I have ever seen . Whatever happe to the Tall white man . Now there's a Tall red head . Always doing nothing and standing there talking to the Security People who greet at the door . She is rude and lazy . She will not hop on register even when there is a long line . She talks to her employees like there slaves and talks down on them . Sometimes I see a short black Lady . Rude . Strict . Always rude and disrespectful. Has no respect for customers and especially workers . She's like a Black Hitler . The only one I ever seen on the floor a lot with the other employees but also always helping the cashier out somehow . I would fire the other two and keep the White short guy I see there . They should of kept the Tall white . He was really sweet and kind . So friendly and cheerful . I may not ever come back and shop at Waukegan Ross . It's very non enjoyable.

Ross Dress for Less cashier customer service

Hello,
I am not one to complain usually but I feel the need to contact someone to resolve the issue within my local ross. The cashier I met is named taneisha the welcoming to the register Was never there not what I'm use to but I had a item without a tag and clearly stated I didn't know the price but had a whole different brand of pant as well so I can choose after I knew the price she put no effort into checking the price or simply typing in the upc number on the inside of the tag she rang me up for the more expensive brand and said there all the same price when it wasn't the case so I go back to grab the pants and show the price and just rude tones the whole time and as I'm waiting for my bag she tossed it to me it nearly fell off the register and my receipt no eye contact through any of this experience either I've never felt so sick to my stomach being treated that way . I've ran a retail store and I would never treat a customer that way or hire someone that can't treat all customers the same when I had seen her bubbly through out all other purchases she took care of before and after. I don't wish to punish these actions but simply look into giving taneisha more customer service training and for her to keep in mind you never know what the customer is going through but her at the register can either make or break someone's day if she doesn't put the right Attitude on while working .

Ross Dress for Less ross store

The store I'm complaining about is the Ross store located at 3533 S 27th St, Milwaukee, WI 53221. The closing hours are 10 p.m why do I get their at 9:30 p.m. because I just needed to buy some shoes my child had seen earlier that day when we had shopped their it was going to be an in n out thing anyways I get their the store is closed you see people still inside shopping and like five employers doing nothing but starting at me and laughing but neither one bothered to open the doors or asked if I needed anything I waited outside until 9:45 p.m. and after being laughed at by the employee and ignored I then left I would not be shopping at any Ross ever again I rather waist my money where I will get treated right and where people are doing their job and taking their job serious. Why close at 9:30 p.m the store when clearly the signs say 10:00 p.m. one of them five employees could of came out and said we closed early or whatever they case for them closing early where instead of just looking at me like some [censored]
