harass by employee
On 4/25/2019 went shopping at store 1100 4th St. SW Suite 105 Wash, D.C. while leaving after 3:00 pm the female clerk at front of the store, told security person that's him, I complianted to a manager who was somewhat dismissive. The female clerk smirked at when leaving for a second time. As a customer, I shouldn't be harass by your employees while shopping. The female clerk lives on the same block, as I do (4200 South Capitol St. SE Wash, DC) should not be able to humiliate me for being drugged and sexually assaulted! Why should any customer be subjected to abhorrent behavior by any employee in your stores. and nothing is actually done about it.
pharmacy
I was a Shopko pharmacy customer until recently as they closed. All prescriptions were transferred to Safeway pharmacy in Douglas, Wyoming. At Shopko you could get a prescription between 15-30 minutes with 2 employees at the top. At Safeway if you bring in a prescription or one is called in, it'll take usually 2 days before it's ready. And there is 3 people working as well and don't understand why it takes so long. I have changed because I can't wait on a prescription that long.
craig in the deli
This is regarding a disturbing and inappropriate experience with employee Craig in the deli. Yesterday afternoon at about 12:50pm I was in the store at the deli to get some lunch meat. There were two employees, an older white man and a woman, across the deli near the register talking and laughing while I was standing waiting. This went on for too long a...
Read full review of Safewayyour employee don't have free drinking water. they need to pay for drinking water at their low payroll. will be a law suit.
I have a question: Is safeway store provide drinking water for her employees? Do employees need to pay for drinking water?
Please send HR to safeway on E John St in Seattle store. Their employees need to pay for the drinking water, or they need to bring in their own water. I wonder how much water employees need to bring it for daily drink? It is not convience at all. Please see the Labor code bollowing. I am going to contact L & I about this if employee union won't do anything.

cashier at the vons on edinger and springdale
I stop at Vons almost every morning on my way to work. A few weeks ago I came thru cashier Marilyns line and once again she was extreme rude and condescending. Not only to myself but to the people who bag for her as well. I have never been so offended by a cashier in my life then I was a few weeks ago which is why I am sending this complaint. Marilyn made a comment solely due to the fact that I accidentally pulled out the wrong amount of money, she asked me: "Do you have some sort of mental disability? Because this is not the amount I said to you." I will NOT be returning to this location as long as Marilyn holds a position here, I will gladly take my business elsewhere.
promo for $25 gift card to change to safeway pharmacy
My daughter moved in with me a few weeks ago and wanted to change pharmacies to a more convenient location. Safeway Pharmacy promised a $25 gift card so she switched. 1. She was told she had to fill a prescription - done 2. She was informed it was too early to fill - okay, she waited. 3. Time to refill her script - she was told she didn't qualify for the...

I am writing to complain about my recent purchase (2 times) from the safeway bakery dept. Yesterday (4/13/19) was the second occurrence. We went, to purchase donuts, two dozen, for our saturday morning get together. It was 6:15. To start off, the selection was minimal, no apple fritters, and when we inquired, we were told they were ready, but they were too...

The Safeway website has changed to a new format. One of which has no print function for your J4U personalized list. I do not use the app on my mobile phone. My lists are sometimes too long to deal with on a phone. I prefer to print a hard copy of the list off my desktop computer & bring it to the store with me. There have been multiple occasions when my groceries were rang up that it did not give me the correct J4U credits. Instead of searching thru a list on my phone to find the incorrect item(s) I have taken my hard copy list to the customer service desk to have it corrected. I called Safeway about this & they told me they would pass along my complaint. I am sure there are others who are not happy about this. I would very much appreciate a print function being returned to the personalized list on the website. Thank you!
I have the same problem as you. The webpage format has changed and is very unprofessional in utility and appearance. What was the point in changing the webpage to something unusable? Those responsible are hopefully unemployed now.
signature care baby wipes
I bought a box of signature care sensitive baby wipes, the blue pack with about 12 packages inside. Lot number 17336 line#72s I have a 3 month old baby boy and I found tons of cotton strands in his creases. His penis looked red and irritated and upon investigation it was cotton left by the wipes in his folds. I also found cotton strands in his leg folds and...

I have been shopping at the vons location ; 475 e windmill lane las vegas, nv 89123 for over 12years and I have never been so humiliated and embarrassed in front of so many people in my whole life. Read full review of Safewayclosing early
On March 26th, the day I'm submitting this complaint, despite their hours being listed as 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM both on their website and on a sign in front, they seemed to be closing at 7:45. All of their tills said "Checkout closed" except for one where another employee was chatting with the cashier manning that till. When I started putting my groceries on the conveyor belt, the other employee told me they were closed, without citing any manner of reason, and without a sign saying that checkout was closed, and all the self checkouts had chains keeping customers from using them.
courtesy customer complaint
I was shopping in the store about 2 weeks ago, I didn't take it to complain until now, but nevertheless I did encounter a disturbing experience shopping there on this particular day. There is a "courtesy clerk" by the name of "Debbie" and she is the one that I have the issue with. I was checking out and I had a small cart with the intentions of just...

The motorized grocery carts. They parked I'm right under the Coke dispenser and I am in need of a cart at most of the times and yesterday I went in there there was a Worker out of the deli that got him a soda And got the chair completely wet with soda so I was unable to use that cart and the other one was completely dry a battery I for one live in a rule small area that have elderly and plenty of handicap people I rely on them to do my grocery shopping and it is irritating when there is not one available I suggest you either get more and you move them away from the soda dispensaries so people can use them when needed
rude/discriminated employee joji m at self-checkout
Incident happend tonight at 7:00 pm or so on Feb 1, 2019.
I picked up a dozen of beer and a few party tray of cutted fruits and went to the self checkout.
After the scanning of the beer, the "platic bag" holder area was not big enough to hold the case of beer and the fruits togehter so I had my case of my beer not 100% sitting on the holder area, and with my leg next to the case of beer, continue my chkout.
A very rule asian old lady (50's came over) and start scolding me I had to put this down on the floor and I am going to break the beer and she will need to do clean up if that happens. She then lecture me I should use the stall on the other side that will able to hold both the case of beer and cut fruit plate. When she was talking to me, she expressed rudeness and start really talking close to me with loud voice. Even I had the case of beer put on ground, She still kept talking and complaining in front of me until I told her loudly "THANK YOU".
Knowing I can also speak English, she stopped talking and just type in the ID on my chkout console for the age validation
I am sure what happened to Safeway nowadays. Staff are rude and it looks like it tries to compete with Walmart in the quality of their service. This is the reason I went to QFC even I had to paid more. At QFC/PCC, staff are courterous and professional. At Safeway with no shortage of business (it is sitting in a mall with a few apartments next to it), it kept hiring unprofessional staff.
A copy of this letter will mailed to the corprate office to make sure Sammaish, WA Safeway manager will be awared of the kind of staff they are hiring. May be they need to hire them b/c of diversity reason. But seriously, Joji M or whoever was looking after that self chkout deserved to loss her job.
exit
i was attached today by a guard that accused me of stealing as i tried to exit the store. she started grabbing at my grocery bags. had no idea who she was or what she was doing. she just started grabbing my bags of groceries. i pulled my arms back so she couldn't take them from me. then she stepped in my path so i couldn't exit. st this point she still...
Read full review of Safewaydeli sandwich
On January 25 2019 I got a sandwich from the deli; Shelley is the person I am complaining about. She covered the vegetables with sauces when making the previous person's sandwich and then picked up those items and added them to my sandwich. When I asked her to replace her gloves first as a result of this cross contamination she stated in a rude tone that she couldn't change her gloves every time she touched something different and that she didn't have other vegetables she could give me. The sandwich was terrible; the tomatoes were not ripe and the paper she wrapped the sandwich in literally stuck to the sandwich, it was poorly put together in every way; I did not finish it.
Perhaps some retraining in customer service and cross contamination would be helpful, or have her not making sandwiches.
Thank you
manager of belfair safeway
The new manager at my local safeway is the rudest more disrespectful employee I have ever seen in customer service. I myself have been management of more then one retail store andI have never treated my worst employees the way I have witnessed this woman treat some of the best employees at this store! I have witnessed her yelling and demeaning at least 5 employees in the few short months that she has been here. Belfair is a very small town and I am in safeway at least 5 times a week so I am very familiar with the staff and have become more like friends with most and to see her treat them like this upsets me to the point I'm not sure if I will keep going to Safeway at all! Someone needs to secret shop this location and witness the uncalled for treatement of such good people before Safeway loses not only customers but employees too!
home delivery
I placed an order (#2981967) for a one hour delivery time on 1-4-19 between 10-11am. As you know I pay an additional charge for that. My order did not arrive until 11:30am. At 11:05 I called customer service and the recording said a 7 minute wait time. I was on hold until 11:30am when my groceries arrived and I hung up. Also, this is the second time I have ordered sirloin steaks and have received the THIN steaks! If I wanted THIN I would have ordered thin, so this is a complete waste of my money! Plus, your printer was down so I didn't get a receipt! This is all unacceptable! I guess I will have to start ordering from Fry's. Please email me immediately with your resolution. bakery
Day after Christmas I contacted my Safeway store on 2nd Ave in Renton, Washington bakery about getting 2 packs of 8 pack cherry my turnovers since they only make 1/2 apple and 1/2 cherry for the store and nobody in our home eat canned apples. I have been doing this for some time and a wonderful woman in the bakery knows how my family likes them
Well when I called to order I was informed the bakery manager was not in and they didn't know where to find the turnovers amongst the frozen bakery items mixed with boxes of frozen seafood. Called the next day. Stated bakery manager still out not enough employees to look for turnovers even though 4 packs of cherry r suppose to b on sale and bakery almost bare of everything so talked to the Store manager. No help from him.
Come to find out all they kept saying us they order items and the warehouse refuses to completely fill the request. Was even told this from another employee in another department who over heard the conversation. It has gotten to the point my husband won't shop there. Only pick up prescriptions if you look at what we use to spend to what we spend now u will see a big difference. The bakery should never run out of a popular desert/breakfast item and the manager of the store should have solved the problem. It seems like there is a new manager ever couple of months and all the fun upbeat employees are gone.
If we decide to transfer our prescriptions our family will no longer shop at Safeway. The store use to be great. What happened. After 6 days of calling about turnovers and no results I gave up. You couldn't even find a pie in the frozen aisle to cook. Had to go to Fred Meyers. Being disabled and having to get in and out of vehicle was extremely painful all because a few of Safeway employees couldn't do their jobs and received no help from the Manager. So sad
employees ripping off baked turkey breast from deli
I purchase (on a regular basis) the baked turkey breasts they bake in the ovens in the deli. Every time with out fail I open up the lid to find that a deli worker has grabbed the one thing I love the most about roasted turkey the delicious crispy skin and they have obviously feasted on the skin themselves when they first take it out of the oven...
It happens in the back where no one can see them, no cameras etc..
So the customer has to subsidize their culinary habit and vice: roasted turkey skin!
So each turkey that comes out of the oven this happens over and over and over again. I want safeway to address this situation and stop the employees that are doing this! Plus it is a health hazard with them putting their fingers on the meat and contaminating the turkey to unsuspecting customers. The stores I buy from are safeway in smokey point, arlington and marysville wa. Please safeway take care of this problem! I'm tired of this needless bs.
