My husband had to have my car towed to this gas station about 4 months ago due to a tire rod bolt coming off. We were really impressed with them being friendly so when the same car started to overheat we immediatly thought of them to have the car towed. My husband had just put a thermostat on the car a day or two before but it seemed to still overheat, so we had it towed to them again, and we advised them about the thermostat just being replaced, but that it seemed there wasn't anything getting from the radiator to the engine. They looked it over and told my husband that there was a release valve that wasn't pressed and they they released it so it should work. We live about an hour away from the place, I drive about 120 miles a day to and from work. After close to 400 miles are car started overheating again, we immediately had it towed to them again, and they told us that our head gasket blew. I of course question on a head gasket just going. They wanted to still charge us for the tow and to look at the car. While I have no problem with them charging us to look at the car I do have an issue with paying the tow since it was the same issue we had only days before. My husband had been dealing with them, and after not getting anywhere with them I decided to call. I spoke with Victor the service manager and ended up having to play 20 questions with him...Almost like a child. Even though I pointed out to him that we came in for the overheating problem, and we were told when the car was being towed that if it's the same problem we wouldn't get charged, and I asked him when we had the car towed what was the issue and of course he said overheating, And even though I pointed out that we said one the first time we were noticing issues of the engine getting the coolant. So anyway I asked him what his manager's name was which he spouted out the owners name very fast, I asked to spell it, He spelled Tyme, I said what's his last name, he said that is his last name, I said ok his first name, he said Leon, I said great, how do I get ahold of him, he said here at the shop, I said ok, do we need to play 20 questions, when is he there, when would be a good time to talk to him, is he there now. He said he's here now. I said good, can I speak with him. When he put on Mr. Leon Tyme, I asked him what did he and my husband talked about and he treated me like I was a little woman and that I should go talk to my husband that he discussed the car with my husband and he just doesn't have the time he said that when we brought the car in over a year ago with the same issues we told him then that it could be sometthing more and when we came in 6-8 months ago. I said Hun, we haven't even had the car a year so we couldn't of brought it in with the same problem then, and the 6-8 months ago you talked about was actually 4 months ago, and it was because a tire rod that was just put on the bolt came loose so it also had no problem with the thermostat, I said the car is mine, my husband isn't here so please talk to me, and that I didn't appreciate him talking down to me because I was a woman. He then got very upset and hung up on me, so I called back and he conveniently wasn't available. I don't care due to their lack of looking at the car to find the route of the problem and they took the quick and easy way out and then had the nerve to tell us it will be $2, 000.00 to fix, yeah like we would get it fixed there. I don't care that they completely screwed us over with the car, it's the towing issue, since they said it seemed to be the same issue and there was no charge for the tow, I expect them to live up to that not charge us almost $180 for the tow and to look at the car only to find their screwup was the root of our issue.

My name is Dawn Middleton I am 18 years old.About a week ago I was in the shell gas station allso known as road ranger.And their was an emplyee named Bill in there working when I first got there I was going to the restroom and diagnol from the restroom is that room for employees only and I smelt weed comeing from that room.Then as I was coming out of the bathroom I heard him yelling at someone on his cell phone.I assume it was another employee and because he said you need to hurry up and get here i have to go pick up my son.Then I heard him Yell at the person on the phone I do not care if you have to close the that store or not I have to leave and if you are not here in five minutes I am locking the doors I do know that this certain store that I was at Is a tweenty four hour seven days a week store.There was about 10 of us in the store.The store was very dirty their was no toilet paper in the female restroom there also was no soap their was pee all over the seat and the bathroom stunk so bad that I had to hold my breathe or I was going to get sick.There was gobs of dirt all over the store there was dirt all over the shelfs and the cups my the fountain drinks was all dusty he was sitting there eatting as I went up to the cash register to pay for my chips, drink and get me a pack of ciggretes I had to woit for him to finish eating before he would wait on me.I thought he was very rude and that no customer should me treated like that.Then i was in there tonight November 22, 2009 And he was in there again the place need alot done I know this because I own my own cleaning company.He had a very bad attitude there was the smell of pot in there again.I moved out of my fathers house to get awaqy from it and I do not think that I should go to the store and have to deal with the smell of pot.I do not see where that is acceptable what so ever.It upsets me that I have to leave my daughter in the care with someone When i go to the store because I dont want her around pot or anything to do with pot and if something is not done about him soon I will report it to the labor board and everybody else that I can I might even call the cops the next time I am in the store and it smells like pot.I want something done about this bill guy or there will be a lot of bussiness gone.I do have to say though that the last few nights that I have been in there this employee named christy has been working she is the only employee there and she is working hard trying to get the place together wait on the customers She is always polite to me and she gets to me as soon as i get to the register.I really think she is a good employee if i need help with something she helps me with out a problem.

simple complaint.i unknowingly absent minded drove off with the gas pump and was charged right then and there $550.00 cash money i had for bills.This he said would cover repair.later speaking to chevron employee she told me hey dont charge for such a thing. I was given the chicago shuffle by one of the attendants at your gas station. He took my fifty dollar bill and I left with 15 dollars gas and 5 dollars worth of lottery tickets. When I asked the station manager about she gave me the run around. She said that she reviewed the tapes but could not tell me what crazy thing happened on the tape(the attendant pretended(I think) to put the fifty in his pocket). She said she could not see all of the transaction because the tapes go in minute intervals. Thank God this was not a robbery then.
I really really think something shady is going on at this station. All I ask is to see the tape for myself and my thirty dollar incident will be settled.

contaminated gasoline
I purchased gas from a shell station that was contaminated with water and damaged my vehicle. I have supplied all of the required documentation to Shell Customer Care, but they are dragging their feet to provide a solution. The person responsible for helping me is always "unavailable" as well as their supervisors. The repair estimates are substantial and I am stranded without a vehicle for 5 days now. The station where the incident occurred is aware of the problem and has admitted responsibility, but can only refer me to Customer Care. Since Shell had to shut down the station for over 12 hours to fix the problem and many other customers are affected, I know that they are aware of the problem, yet customer care insists on taking me through a bureaucratic mess and red tape, and is asking me to wait 20 days for a resolution.
I don't have money to authorize the repairs (currently estimated at over $4000) nor to rent a car for the duration of this mess and get reimbursed.

My family and I travel extensively within the state of Oregon with our custom camper van. I am a partially dis-abled U.S. Army Veteran and my wife does her best to help. Several times we have traveled up and down the Oregon coast having zero problems anywhere. When we bought our van it was broke in using only the highest grade SHELL gas available. Recently everytime we pass through Depoe Bay on the coast we have received some of the worst treatment at the Shell station there. It has been to the point that we have driven into Newport to get fuel, almost running out a couple times. The family that runs that station have obviously never learned the meaning of Customer Service, because it is surly lacking at that location. A friend who was traveling with us asked about where the restrooms were at, and was rudely told "NO PULIC RESTROOM, GO TO SOME PLACE ELSE", and in the rudest voice not to mention. I explained that all I needed was to wash the windshield and was given the same rude stares as before. This station has been the recipient of several complaints with no results noticed so far. I learned that they are a franchise station but does that mean they can treat the customers with that sort of dis-respect, they do still represent the SHELL standards of EXCELLANCE regarding customer service don't they. Several other folks were at the station at the same time and drove off as we did also choosing to patronize the 76 station on the other end of town. Any help resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated, please explain to me why I should continue to purchase SHELL products with several other stations offering the same high grades of fuel we use in our camper van and off road vehicles, such as sans rails, four wheelers(quads) that our son races, or is it time to peel the SHELL decals off the race- bikes and replace them. and was in dire need of gas. I normally would have left but because I was in A rush I filled up here. This statioon charged credit price even thhough I used my shell card. GREEDY THEY ARE> almost every other station I see says in house card same as cash.

paid for gas I didn't get
Put $30 of gas in my Honda CRV, went inside and paid. Then realized that the gas gauge had not moved at all. At first I assumed that the gas gauge needle might be stuck. So later I return to fill up since the gas gauge still hadn't moved. I should had only been able to put about $12 to $15 of gas but it took $43 to fill up and my gas gauge was working fine...

I was given a Shell Gift card in the amount of $50.00. I went to purchase gas at the Shell location indicated above at 6:18 AM on Tuesday 6/17/08. The advertised price for regular unleaded was $4.129 for cash or Shell Card. When I submitted my gift card at the pump and began to pump my fuel, the pump indicated a price of $4:179 per gallon. When I completed my transaction I went in to speak with the proprietor of the station. I told him I was not charged properly. I advised him I used a pre-paid Shell Gift Card. He advised even though the sign advertised Shell Card it does not apply to Gift Cards. I advised him that is not what the sign indicates. He agreed, but said the system does not recognize gift cards and they may of been bought with credit. All the help he provided was to advise to call the 800 number on back of the gift card. I dalled the number and as expected there was nothing they could do as the false advertising fell on the proprietor of the station.

After 38 years of being a Shell customer - I've decided to end the relationship.
In August - as is our normal habit - my wife paid our Shell credit card bill in full. We have been doing this for 38 years and have *NEVER* had an overdue balance. She paid it by check as we always do and mailed in the payment.
The payment was received and processed by Shell Oil 2 days later - and then the payment was rejected by our bank, so Shell put on a $39 returned check fee, a $30 "late fee" and $2.40 in interest.
We contacted Shell and asked about what happened - and were told there was no way they could tell why the check was bounced that we'd have to contact our bank.
After discussing this with several people in the credit card customer service - I asked for a supervisor, and found that this was a lie. Shell routinely scans checks and then sends the scan electronically to the bank for payment, destroying the check after processing.
In this case - apparently they got confused - and "Chet" the supervisor was able to pull up the scan - to see it was only half a check. No wonder our bank (correctly) rejected the payment. It's apparent this screwup happened at Shell since they continued processing the payment hoping to cover their butts instead of simply contacting us and asking for another check.
Chet claimed someone had written on the half-check in addition to the normal figures that would be filled in. I believe that was also done by Shell's processing department.
Apparently Shell's processing department managed to destroy a legitimate payment, made on time, in a manner that should be acceptable to them, and then after destroying the payment, charged us for fees that should have been only charged to a bad account.
This is after 38 YEARS of flawless payment to this company.
I used to think Shell Oil was a decent company to do business with - I now know otherwise. Apparently employees of the company can screw up and blame customers for their mistakes - costing loyal customers money and aggravation.
I don't need to do business with a company that treats customers in this manner and have requested that my account be closed. If you have Shell Oil credit - I'd suggest you do the same. Shells loss will be Exxon-Mobil's gain.

My husband and I applied for/received a Shell Credit card in 2016. We did this because we earn fuel perks through a grocery store chain and wanted to earn more points. No complaints at this point. The credit card process is completely anti-customer-service. We have a card in his name and mine; however, they will NEVER talk to me, even though I can give them all the accurate, private information requested. During the process of receiving a card, our names were incorrect. In the 1st iteration, they had First Name, Last Name (mine misspelled), Middle Initial on both cards, in that order (e.g., John Doe W., versus John W. Doe); my last name was misspelled. Husband called and requested corrections. He received a corrected card; my name was even worse. On the 3rd iteration, my name was corrected. I could have resolved all these issues, except the operators (apparently from Citicorp), refuse to speak to me, even though I am a cardholder on the account and can provide all information.. Today, I called b/c the web site would not accept our password/user name. I wanted to set up auto pay so the monthly bill would always be paid on time. Nothing worked. Called CS again, giving all the account information, passwords, etc., and was again told they would not talk to me. All the operators do is apologize; I don't want apologies; I want RESULTS. This is the WORST credit card customer service I have ever experienced. One would think they would want customers to be satisfied AND their bills paid on time in full. Apparently not. And BTW, I sent a written letter to "the Shell Executive in Charge of Credit Cards" (b/c they don't show this name/address on the web site); no response after two months. If this is not resolved tonight, when my husband is home and has time to call (if the phone lines are even open after 6:00 pm!), I am cutting up my credit card, sending it back to Shell, and using my perks from another rewards program. Sorry Shell and Winn-Dixie. I'm done.
I agree this isn't the Shell of years past. I always pay my bill on their website and done so for the past few years. Today I received a statement showing a $20 late fee on a $189. I know it has to be their fault but they would rather steal $20 from me than keep as a customer. My dad owned 3 Shell stations when I was growing up so I have been a customer for over 50 years. I am sending them a check with our cut up credit cards. I won't do business with them anymore.

I went to this Shell station as I often do, to purchase the local newspaper and on occasion, I buy a lottery ticket. On this day, I held the newspaper in my hand, and passed the employee 2 quarters for the paper and a scratch ticket that was clearly scratched and it was a two dollar winner. I told the clerk "This is for the paper, and I'll have one more of these. (the ticket)" He rang up the 50 cents, then held up the ticket and went (loudly) EEHHH? This startled me, I asked what? Again..EEHHH? Again, I told him I wanted one more. He asked "same wuh" I said yes. He finally found the ticket and passed it through the window. I told him he needs to learn more English in order to deal with the public.
Was he hired just to satisfy the Latino Community here in Lynn?
What about those of us who are hardworking AMERICANS, you know, the ones who actually pay the taxes that pay for their welfare and food stamps because they ONLY want to work 20 hours a week.and can't support all their kids and relatives on this pay? Apparently if he is working HE IS PAYING TAXES TOO! Furthermore why is he dumb because YOU do not understand his accent? I know many white, black, asian, and other AMERICANS that do not speak proper english and are hard to understand without an accent do to their slang. Are they STUPID too?
not returning correct cash change
Three times in the past two months I have not received correct cash change at this Shell gas station (corner of Oxford & Waterloo Streets, London, Ontario) - one of those times I challenged the cashier (same man all three times) and was given the rest of my cash change with the comment of "its only $.25. All three times the missing change ranged from $.05 to $.50. This is not a lot of money but the attitude from this cashier is one of "it's just small change" but if this happens on a regular basis with many customers then it is more than small change.

Just had my truck rejected for non working lights. The lights are driving auxiliary lights. They say they are Fog Lights. Checked VA code and they are not Fog Lights. I'll save the trip back there and spend another $16.00 and get it inspected by someone that knows the rules and regulations in Virginia to inspect a car.
