A Disappointing Experience with SkipTheDishes
As a frequent user of food delivery services, my recent encounters with SkipTheDishes have left me utterly disappointed. The issues ranged from missing items in my orders to rude drivers who failed to follow simple instructions. The customer service was unhelpful and at times even dismissive of my concerns. It's disheartening to see a once-promising service fall short on so many levels. I had high hopes for SkipTheDishes, but unfortunately, my experiences have been marred by constant errors and poor service. I would caution anyone considering using this platform to proceed with caution and manage your expectations accordingly.
This company is a joke.
I am NEVER using Skip again. It is amazing to me the amount of crap this company is allowed to get away with. How is this place still doing business? We all need to stop using the app. As long as people keep ordering, they will continue to do the same crap. If they don't have to change, why would they? I don't have to put my experiences here, because it's just like everyone else's. It's the same story over and over. I also attached a response they gave one of their customers on the BBB site, as an example of their business practices and how shady they are, even when they are at fault, and admit they are at fault.
Recommendation: Stay far away from this business, it is inevitable you will get screwed. Just read the MANY negative reviews. These aren't isolated cases, this is the norm.

this is the third time they have delivered to the wrong house. Airdrie Alberta is not a big city. Do the drivers take a reading test you know so they can read the address properly. They will not help at all. I have been told we will get a credit back on my card NOPE never happened. Maybe they should give the name and phone number of the delivery person who we can call directly too. We are going to cancel our service. I am only going to use reliable and honest service. Even the student making extra cash, who did the delivery before was better than this company.
Recommendation: DO NOT USE.

Skip delivery
I ordered dinner from Joeys Ellerslie in Edmonton. Skip added another 100 minutes to my delivery time which put my order pick up outside the restaurants closing time. I went to chat and was told to go f myself after I was told they couldn't find by order but the restaurant has it. [protected]. I was lied to.
Not only did skip steal my money, the restaurant had to throw out the greasy, cold dinner that never got picked up they lost money too because of skip. I told Joeys not to remake the order because they would have to stay open for the pick up and I care about others and they should have to stay because of your [censored] up. What happened here is far beyond what should happen.

There are thousands of restaurants and consumers who have been ripped off by this company and something needs to be done. Is there a pro bono lawyer out there ready to step up? My credit card was charged on Feb 21st for an order not my order!
On my mastercard bank statement i noticed that skip the dishes has appeared twice this past week and i have not used this service since 2022. One charge was yesterday Feb 25th, it was authorized, i took a photo of it and have now returned home from my travel and the transaction has been since removed. ($42.12) The other charge is Feb 21st for $13.88. Please check the location of the service because i was in two distinct cities on the 21st and my credit card picture attached reflects where i was those days. I would like $13.88 reversed and please cancel any credit card reference you have in my name.

First time trying Skip The Dishes, horrible experience. Had company last night, ordered an artisan pizza at around 5pm. Absolutely ridiculous! First order was delivered to a different street. We went out looking and couldn't find our pizza. Later checked google earth and that’s why we know it was delivered to Watson Street (we are on Charles). We were hungry, assumed that the first order would be refunded, so re-ordered. That driver went to North Oshawa to pick up the pizza that was actually in downtown Whitby! He was driving around like he was lost. After considerable time, he was changed to a different driver. The pizza arrived at 8:11pm, stone cold and hard as a rock, not edible. I sense I have am a victim of fraud and this is a great concern as I have for the first time signed up with Skipthedishes and made an order for food at a local Subway (on Fenwick Street, Halifax, N.S.). Skip the dishes gift card
Good afternoon,
We purchased a $250.00 Skip the Dishes Gift Card for a co-worker, paying cash for the transaction. When he scratched/peeled off the activation code strip it took off the activation # underneath it.
We purchased the GC from Shoppers Drug Mart in Lake Country, BC, Canada.
The card has been activated at purchase but it can NOT be used. Please advise how we proceed. Shoppers Drug Mart has refused to refund and says Skip the Dishes is responsible for assisting.

On September 28, 2023, ordered from OPA through Skip The Dishes. After waiting for an hour, the app said that it had been delivered but no order arrived. You can't talk to them, customer care is NOT answering on the chat. Called the 2 different nearby stores that was supposed to be picked up from, and they said that no order had been placed from them. $80 is gone.
