On the 22nd of November 2023 I visited the Sportscene store in Golden Acre Cape Town to exchange a Redbat T-shirt dress that was purchased for me as a birthday gift from a friend, however the dress was bought in zevenwacht mall. as I spoke to a store assistant I explained that I would like to change the dress for a bigger size if not available then I would take something else in that place.
The assistant advice me that the goods need to be in the Original condition which it was however the only problem is that the tag was not on the dress instead it was in the bag with the slip and all necessary documentation to do a exchange, the assistant then advised me that because the tag is not on the dress they cannot exchange it I have to take it back to the mall it was bought from which I did not understand as everything including the tag was in the bag.
rightfully knowing that they can replace the tag I instead walked out of the store as I had to head to work.
at this moment I am not happy about this as I reside within the Mitchells plain area and will not be able to go back and forth about this as its not even 30 days yet and the tag could have just been placed on again as I always buy from the store and because of this incident I feel that I will no longer be buying from the store.

Desired outcome: i would like a refund on the goods and compensation as i have to now travel back and forth for a minor issue that could have been resolved the first time as well as a apology as I'm a regular customer at Sportscene.
