SportScene.co.za inappropriate behaviour towards customers.

I went to one sportscene in Johannesburg Park Central. I wanted to buy two leggings. One nike and one Adidas for my daughter. Then i was told by one of the workers at the till that "NRCS" cards don't work. Which was surprising because it wasn't my first time using my game card to purchase at any sportscene..i never had problems.

I asked for the manager and she had a very nasty attitude towards me telling me that they dont work with "NRCS" cards. I didn't appreciate her behaviour towards me and i would like file a complain. And something should be done immediately.

SportScene.co.za rude staff member

called sport-scene Cresta mall on the 19/10/2018 at 16: 20 pm which is on a Friday .
as i was requiring regarding about a size if they have it available .

all the stores that I've called and they've gave me good customer service from maponya mall, jabulani to Dobsonville ...

the guy from Dobsonville named Jabu gave me brilliant service and referred me to Cresta Mall and told me to call a guy called Themba of which I did and to my surprise the guy that answered the phone was rude and told me that it's not Themba's personal phone not knowing what I wanted and doesn't even know my reason for the call ...
as I also work with customers I strongly believe that he was supposed to ask for my reason for the call and etc.

I'm highly disappointed by the service Chris that's his name gave me as he doesn't know me and I'm a paying customer etc ...
please train your Staff basic telephone manners as its essential in any business .

SportScene.co.za falsely advertising

Good day I was at the Govan Mbeki store in Port Elizabeth.While roaming around I saw a signed which states 50% off select sweats and jackets.I asked the sales consultant if it's really true he assured me yes.I then went to the fitting room to fit on the jacket that I wanted and decided to buy it.Before purchasing the jacket i asked the sales consultant and the acting manager if it's 50%off the both assured me.then when the sales consultant wanted to put the item on the system it did not want to give it.I stood in the store for more than 30min.The acting manager tried calling the area manager and he only said he can give me off for the stains.I felt sportscene have let me down.And I will make people aware of your false advertising.I am highly disappointed in the service that I have received.

SportScene.co.za mistreatment

Today(08/09/2018) i decided to go to SportScene to look for shirts and i also wanted to ask some questions about how the account works since i only opened it last month. When i was busy talking with the other staff member, the manager decided to shout in a shop full of people and tell me i should not come back to the store, i was so embarrassed, people were looking at me as if i stole something from the store. I couldn't even talk back at her. This kind of treatment is something i won't stand for. If she wanted to talk with the staff member she could have just came to us and tell us she's asking for his help for few minutes then he'll be back. i too work at the store, i too work with customers not in billion days will i be a difficult customer.I don't even know why she did that but possibilities are, she might be intimidated by me, she might have issues with that staff member of which has nothing to do with me. With all due respect, i would like to close my account this month end after paying the balance. What she did it wasn't really necessary just for her to get the attention from the staff member.

I am not going to ask for anything from the store, this is just me being polite by sending out the warning, for the manager to be warned because next time she won't get so lucky, she will do it to someone and the person will take bigger step than i did now.

SportScene.co.za Cell insurance

I bought a phone at sportscene middelburg mall two days later they me for insurance i agree. I lost my phone and claim and find out that they changed me insurance of two phones at sportscene they call insurance they said they will investigate and refund me after 3 weeks waiting i decided to close the account and then they approved the claim when fetch the phone they i must open account to get the phone i did that now i want to close account they i have outstanding balance for insurance.

SportScene.co.za sneakers

I made a purchase for the Stan Smith sneakers and made a payment but it was still pending, I then called to enquire about a way forward. I was then told to email a screenshot of the payment. I did that, to my surprise I got an SMS that my order was cancelled? Ref: P203227577. When I call I get different stories and I'm told there is nothing that can be done, I wanted to make another payment since the first one was pending but was told to talk to my bank. How do you calculate your 48 hours?

SportScene.co.za false advertising

Sale was stated to start 28th June with listed prices e.g Nike Presto R200 from R1499. Many retail stores were unaware of the sale and the online website did not update. There were no sales that were part of the exclusive sale on the 28th June. Extremely disgusted with these cheap tactics of sportscene, even after being told to use online store and to use "collect in store" option for delivery. Will make sure to never set foot in your store again.

SportScene.co.za terrible service

On saturday 19th may we entered sportscene in claremont. My daughter has been looking for a white nike airforce takkie size 3 for quite some time now, but its been out of stock in this particular colour. I then spoke to a girl (whose name I never thought of taking) who said she will check to see which branches outside of cape town has stock. She found a size 3 in white and explained there is a transfer/courier fee of r30, and that it would take 2-3weeks to arrive at the claremont store and I would be contacted once the shoe arrives. It has now almost been 5 weeks and I have heard nothing. Yesterday I decided to call the claremont store to follow up. I spoke to andile who informed me that the girl/s who assisted me were off and not in store. I explained to him that my contact information was taken and written into a book, and asked him to check. After a while of waiting on the telephone he said he found my details and the he would have to go and check in the back stock/store room to see if the shoe was there. After more than two hours I called back as I thought maybe he got busy (as we all do) as forgot to get back to me. The girl who answered the phone said andile was busy with another customer at the moment. I explained my query to her, she asked me to hold on while she asks andile about the shoe. She then came back and said she would get back to me. At this point I was now starting to become annoyed, all they had to do was check whether the shoe was there and let me know.

Today arrived and I still heard nothing form sportscene. I feel I have been patient enough, and I am the client after all and should not be calling to follow up. When I called back this morning, andile answered the phone. He said he remembered who I was and at the time of calling he was in the stock/store room. He checked and quickly came back saying that there is a size 3 red nike airforce takkie, but knew I want white. He then said he "thinks" the white takkie was sold. At this point I lost all my patience! I am very unhappy at the poor service received from sportscene claremont, and am so angry at the employee who neglected to inform me that the takkie arrived and it got sold to another customer. I akse andile to get the store manager to call me back. It has now been almost a week and I have received no call from the store manager. Utterly disgusted at this service. Its totally unacceptable!

I recently ordered a cream airmax 95 at sportscene online. when I received the sneaker I was so disappointed! not only was it two left feet sneakers but it was also very dirty, it looked like it came off the shell of the store, it was also two different sizes. I sent so many complaints through and nobody has contacted me back since. I’m so disappointed, won’t be shopping on the tfg website again.

I was at the store in mimosa mall sport scene were one of the rails ton my shirt and I was at work by then the the friendly staff apologied and make sure they called the area manager who told or offered me a tshirt for the loss of my shirt.

I am one of the clients who always shop at sportscene because I love my sneakers.

I will like to say thank you to the company I so that you care about the customers thank you sportscene mimosa mall will tell my family and always shhop there

SportScene.co.za pathetic service

Dear sir or madam
I was at sportscene 320 west street branch in durban (known as pixley ka seme), yesterday (19/02/2018). I wanted to exchange my daughter's redbat jean that was bought by her dad last wed (14/02/2018). The problem was I misplaced or lost the receipt by mistake and I have explained that to them.
There were two jeans that I liked, the problem with the first jean was that they did not have the size I was looking for. The second jean was r100 less and I asked if they can put the difference on a gift voucher, but they refused and said I must go to the branch where I bought the jean, which was "the bridge city" and I refused. The cashier that was serving me with her bad attitude and was rude of course, called her manager, winston and he also refused and advised her to call bridge city branch and she said there was no response.
I, then asked them how is it not possible for them to exchange without a receipt because, the other sportscene branch at the top, was willing to do it but the problem they did not have gift vouchers, and he said they can't and doesn't know how they were going to do it without a receipt and left.
I asked myself whether the problem was making an exchange or the race, why would one company have different terms and conditions and what matters the most, it's either they were going to give a gift voucher that was going to be used at any of the sportscene shops or tfg chain stores and not edcon, truworths, woolworths etc.
I was so disappointed about the pathetic service which I received yesterday. I actually felt unfairly treated by your staff members and decided not to argue with them. When the jean was bought, none of your staff had a problem and when I find that the garment is unsuitable, it won't be exchanged.
It seems that your staff is not competent/ fully trained or professional. I individually believe that the management should do something about it and maybe am speaking for thousands of people who have been mistreated.
It was actually my first time experiencing such treatment and the fact that the jean had all the swinging tags and on its same condition as it was bought, that frustrates the most.
Maybe the best way is to take my services somewhere else where I can be treated with dignity. It is not like I owe it to you to shop at your store and yet am very positive that if I was a white person, the jean was going to be exchanged without any questions, and yet we are actually talking about r500 jean mind you.
Am not stupid at all, I once worked in the retail industry and so I know all the t's & c's. I don't even work around town, but I have to go back with the jean and it's another transport expense for me.
Can this matter be treated as a matter of urgency and I initially don't even want the cash back but another jean.

SportScene.co.za refusal of assistance

I went to the sportscene in west street, durban on 13th january 2018 @ 12:26pm. My size was not available in store of the fatigue old skool vans. I asked the sales men to look up for my size in other stores and he did so. It appeared that only 7 branches had my size of 1 quantity. When I asked for them to call the stores and request they send the shoe to the durban branch they refused too because they said it will be impossible. I asked them kindly to get one salesmen on the floor just to call as the store was not that busy they refused again. I took it upon myself to take a picture of the branches with the cell numbers and called myself. Fortunately the cape town store had my size which they are now sending to the store. The lack of help I received was unacceptable. The staff behavior is worst i've come across. For a leading store in sa I expected more. The staff should go on training on communication and respecting customers. I have told several of my friends, colleagues family not to go the store. I'm very disappointed in the poor quality service I received. I will continue to tell people of my experience until the matter is resolved. I'm very angered in the way I was treated.

SportScene.co.za poor service

Wow such a [censor] service I received this morning in rustenburg branch. Firstly I waited for over 30min to get help as there was no one on there floor to assist.. Had to ask for the cashier to call one of the guys and from there I got assisted by someone who was reeking of alchohol and took him close to 20min for him to help me. Just when I thought it will get better I was taken from one counter to the other waisting more of my time. And just when I went outside I check my receipt only to find the guy added some shoe cleaner and protector that I never asked to begin with wasting more of my time as I had to go back. What got to me bad is that the so called manager was also there but did not eveb bother to intervene. I must emphasise that I never expected that kind of service from sportscene more especially that it was not even busy... Music was very loud, one could hardly hear the next person speaking. It was a disgusting and very much horrible encounter and I hope this can be looked at as I need feedback on how this matter was handled.

SportScene.co.za puma sneakers - misleading price advertising

On friday 27 nov 2017 I went shopping at sport scene in cape gate shopping centre located in brackenfell, western cape

The puma sneakers my daughter wanted, was displayed and priced with a huge black tag for r999.

We got the correct size and went to pay.

The lady assisting check for any discount vouchers against my id number and found one for r300.

She rang it up. Big was my surprise when the price on the cash register less the discount voucher, came to r999!

I asked what about the r300 discount on the price of r999 as displayed.

No, turned out the box the shoes came in was priced at r1299. So then subtracting the voucher it came to r999. Seriously!?

Then why the false and misleading price on the display?

Dissappointing!

SportScene.co.za service at mall of africa store

Hi there,

My girlfriend and I was at the sportscene mall of africa on the 19th november 2017 at about 5:45pm fitting nike cortez nd airforce, when we noticed my girlfriends black handbag was stolen while we were seated on the couch.
Which had her purse with cards in it, no cash, car keys, license, perfume and make up bag. We needed cctv footage but was told we could only get it on monday or tuesday, to date we have not had any contact or anything from the store as promised, I sent an email to billy the assistant manager [protected]@tfg.co.za on monday.

The people who stole the bag are still trying to use my girlfriends credit card as we keep getting notification.

Your urgent response and assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I applied for a sportscene account on the 13/11/2017, at the store I provided my documents and it was said that I would have a response within 24hours.
It has now been a week and still no response, I called customer care twice, the first time it was said that it is still being processes and today morning after speaking to a consultant she tells me they began processing it on the 14th does it take almost 6 days for a process to be completed. I then had to hold on the line for almost 10 minutes.
Totally disappointing. This was my favorite store.
Certainly loosing all good thoughts on it!

And o got kicked out of the store. Dear foschin group

I'm so disappointed regarding the attitude of one of your cashier/teller zezethu at sportscene menlyn mall pretoria. Her attitude towards me as a customer was extremely unpleasant and I struggled just to pay as she insisted to assist me telling one of his colleague why didn't I go to another teller in front of me. I don't know why do I have to struggle as a customer to pay and leave. And she didn't use the voucher or discount that I had, she captured the item with full price can you please help me cause this was extremely bad. Can you please advise me on this matter

Good day
I am very disappointed in the service I got at sportscene kimberley. I was interested in purchasing a adidas climacool sneaker for myself last friday. There was only 1 size 4 and 1 size of that very same sneaker in the whole store. I went the sunday to make a final purchase of the size 5 sneaker and they told me they couldn't find it in their storeroom but when they checked on the system the sneaker was still available in their store which I found very strange. I then left my details because they promised to call me once the sneaker was found as they said they will look for it. Days went by and they never called. I called them yesterday and all of a sudden the sneaker appeared to be sold since the time they were looking for it according to them. It also doesn't reflect on their system as it did the sunday. The sneaker is also not on the online store so I cant purchase it from there and I can only purchase it on my account. Please will you assist me in getting a size 5 in the sneaker. Attached you will find a picture of a white one and a peach one. I will prefer any of the two colours.
I will also like to ask that our kimberley branches be more considered when it comes to stock as we might be a small town but we all want to support our local stores and expect them to have stock of products and required sizes.

SportScene.co.za service

I made a lay bye on a le coq sportif sneaker 3 weeks back on the 28th august 2017 at greenstone mall sport scene. When I went to the tills a lady by the name of lindi asked me if I needed a spray with the sneakers and I told her no, she than told me that it was not optional and I had to include the spray with my purchase.

I feel that if its optional why did she give me a choice in the beginning. As I incurred extra costs that I did not expect.

SportScene.co.za i'm complaining about the service

I'm complaining about a service which I received from the maponya branch. I went to purchase two pairs of kiddies takkies, and just because the was a further mark down by the till, the assistance added four of those shoe cleaning sprays without my consent. I kept telling him that I didn't want them as I had a lot at home and still went ahead scanning them until the sale was at least r1200. He said even if he wasn't scanning them i'd still be charged r1250 for the takkies (which I had no problem with) but he still did as he pleased and he was even laugh with his other colleague and refused to explain what was happening.
