poor service and lack of campaign knowledge
The experience I had at sports scene durban workshop is by far the worst shopping i've experienced in my entire life. No words can describe the sheer disrespect and insolence uttered by the manager when in fact it was her fault for not having the campaign knowledge for their sales drive.
I was lured by sportscene under the impression that if I opened an account and spent r600 or more I would receive r100 discount off my first purchase. I spent r1400 and I didn't receive my discount. After countless trips back and forth to the store attempting to rectify this manager I was made aware that the manager and staff of this store were not aware on how to convey the message about the campaign to me because they didn't attempt a training/meeting to be briefed about this campaign.
I was intitled to this discount and instead of receiving a simple apology for their lack of knowledge, the manger uttered these words to the cashier ' just give him the discount and get rid of him'
All of this falls nothing short of a pure representation of the company's ethics and customer service.

I bought an airmax from sportscene and it had a 33% off but it charged me the full amount when I asked there was no one to assist even a manager was not at the store but if you did not pay they have guards to call you now and the when they need to solve problems they dont even bother to contact that person because I was even told that I will be contacted even today I am still awaiting that call what a disgraceful service I never expected this

Sportscene menlyn shopping centre. I was wanting to purchase a pair of adidas nmd's
The display pair was the last size 6 and was so dirty. I asked if the store is willing to give some discount but was informed the manager was not in the store he went out to do some shopping and I must wait. After a few minutes he returned to the store and told me he will clean it but not give discount. I was shocked with the reply especially because I was still willing to buy the shoes even though it was not new anymore. I told him he can keep the shoes I am not interested in buying anything from this store. Sportscene menlyn you will not see me for business again. To the manager keep up that arrogant attitude!
unfair treatment
I bought clothes online which I have always did and I find it convenient. Once I got my package the clothes I bought could not fit so I thought to make things easier I will just take them back to the local store. I went to the sportsmen at centurion mall on the 8th of april 2017 to return the goods. While I was explaining to the cashier there some manager just came sweeping through my feet without even asking me to shift. I think he is so homophobic, I am lesbian by the way. Anyway I shifted in silence for him to sweep the floor and once he was done I went back to the counter. Now what pieced me off is that he was asked for authorization, when he gor to the counter he was not okay with it actually he didn't want to assist because he asked me why do I buy stuff online and why do I return them to their store. He was just not okay with me as a customer having to return the goods there. Of which I have never had a problem at other tfg stores whenever I return goods I bought online. Sportscene at centurion mall I will never bother you again thank you for the # service you gave me. You shouldn't treat people like #. It was childish of your manager to act the way he did. Stupid
39thirty ny cap
I bought the cap two weeks back at the store and didn't wash or do anything to it, but it's colour changed. I took it to the back to the store, they told me at the store there is nothing they can do for me because I don't have my slip. What's more funny is that the lady knows I bought the cap there and she was the one helping me. I asked them if they can't go to transaction history on their system and then I would provide my bank statement as proof that I bought it there because I swiped my card. I asked them for a customer line they said they don't have it. Worst service ever.
unethical behaviour regarding limited stock
Date :10 december 2016 at +-8h35am in canal walk century city. My son and I went to the centre. After running from one store to another due to bad advertising we ended up in the arcade store where the promotion of the jordan sneaker were selling. As we entered the store my son walked to the store manager chad wanted to ask about the takkie, without even saying what size the manager chad say there is only a size 5 left. Later on we re-enter the store observing purchases made to this sneaker. I then complain on the sportsmen facebook page where I was ask my detail. 3days later, before that some gentleman phoned me by the number [protected]. Never ask me really what happened, yet he just said they will investigate and up to this date I have not heard of this area manager of sportsmen canal walk. This is clearly a manner of how area managers handel complains. Phone you once and keep your mouth. I feel mislead by how this complain was handel. I was attack by this employee friends on facebook. Yesterday 28/11/2016 I went to sportscene in clearwater I have never received such bad service - firstly no one wanted to help I eventually found a guy to help but he had a no care attitude I cleary asked for a size 9 shoe he didn't check the box. I purchased the item later I happened to check the shoes and he had given me a size 11. So I went back to exchange they didn't seem to care which if fine - but he went to the back and he said there was no size 9's when clearly there was 2 size 9's on display. But just the way it was handled was very disappointing. I have been a client for many year 10+ years and I have never experienced such poor customer service ever! It's a bad reflect on your company. I must say the staff at markhams clearwater are great.

Yesterday I went to sportscene for the 50% off deals.. I received a mail saying dat the all stars will be marked off 50 %, I was really shocked to see dat before the sale the tekkies was r649 and after the 50% it was 599, sportscene must be taken to task because they said they having a black friday but it was a blatant lie..
If my response is not what I want to hear, I will go to hellopeter and dispose sportscene for their lies and unprofessional encounter I had with staff en shop yesterday..

My name is dimakatso tshehla, I bought a sumsang j1 at sportscene van der walt end of august 2015. The phone started to give me problems I am not sure if it was the speaker or what but then I returned back to the above mentioned store around mid september, after two weeks I received a call from one of the staff members quering about the phone she basicaly wanted to find the reason for returning the phone so that she can book it for a repair, apparently the person who was suppose to was soo busy that she couldnt and she is not available at that moment. The very same person who didnt book the phone lied about her name when I asked for reference purposes. I spoke to the manager but he still does nothing about this, they never keep me informed, update me. I feel like they dont care about their customers. I am even thinking of paying the last amount and close my account with them because of the bad service I received. Its three months now and I still havent received my phone, I had to buy another phone because I cant live withought a phone and its so inconvenient for me.

I have been a regular customer for so many years now, I have been recieving bad service and ignored it, but after a kind embarassing moment I have had in sports scene weskas mall today, I feel I have to expose the kind of bad customer service prevailling in this particular store.
I went to a store to buy few things for myself, got to a till, didn't even get a greeting from a straight faced lady, behind the counter, made my purchase and while she still busy processing my transaction, I asked her for her name since she doesn't have a name tag, she answered me with an attitude saying she doesn't have a name because she doesn't have parent, I thought she was joking, I asked her, if she being funny or just plain rude, she answered me by saying both, as she walked away from the till where I was making my purchase. I went to her to ask her why is being rude like that without even knowing why I was asking for her name, maybe I was going to give a compliment about her to her manager, she raised he voice and shouted "I am a manager here". I told her I am going to lay a complain about her, she shouted back yet again, "go ahead", infront of the customers.
This is what I endured, I got embarassed by someone who suppose to be treating me like a valuable customer that I am, instead she disrespected me, embarassed me and treated me like a trash of which I don't believe I am.
This is a trend that's continueing here in west coast. If this is not being attended to, its going to spread like wild fire.
This is bad and I am going to follow it up up to the point where I see to it that something is done about it, either by the people responsible or other parties that deal with issues of this nature.

I bought adidas ozweego sneakers at sportscene in shelly center in KZN on the 28th of December 2023 and only realized later that the sneakers dont look genuine at all, the color is not consistent . I'm very unhappy with the sneaker, it looks very fake I've worn it like 3 times. I'm very disappointed with sportscene and their fake quality product.

I purchased a watch from Centurion mall Sportscene and the watch is no even 2 weeks old, they tellers there are so poor at their services they refused to take it in for repairs nor exchange whilst I had my Bank Statement and receipt. this is pure robbery from a trusted store I offen attend/purchase from.
