This Saturday I was at spur it was my son's birthday I took a few kids and 2 friends of mine. When it was time to pay I asked the waitress "Phumzile" to bring me the bill The bill was R1160 and I gave her R50 tip, I told her I was going to use my card for payment so she went to take the speed-point then I had to take my son to the toilet I left my card with my friend trying to avoid delay when she made payment she gave herself R100 tip. I ended up paying R1260 and I did not receive the notification while I was still at the store because my phone was off, only saw this when I was at home. This has to stop and I would appreciate feedback.

Bad service from managers / supervisor and paypoint worker
My husband and I including our two daughters decided to have supper at the Spur at Middelburg Mall in Mpumalanga on 13/11/2020 at about 18h30. From the time we decided where we'd be seated, we were stared at by the white manageres/supervisor as if we were thieves coming to rob the store. Not once did she come and welcome us or ask if if everything is okay, not a single welcoming gesture received by this person that's supposedly there to ensure that customers are satisfied. She just kept on staring at us making us feel extremely uncomfortable. I'm absolutely appauled by the level of service received by this person. As for the person at the till/paypoint, no greeting from her as well. She was just as unfriendly. She only handed my husband the speedpoint without a single 'hi' or 'bye'. My family and I will never set foot in any of the Spur restaurants in Middelburg Mpumalanga as this was not the first bad experience from the Spur restaurants in this town. Our waiter however was superb, the level of service provided by him was excellent.

On the 4th of Sept 2020 I visited your branch in Eastgate mall to celebrate my birthday. We ordered Full portion of wings and 600g ribs with veggies.
The friendly waiter Katty did everything in the book providing excellent service. Come time to eat-wings were underdone dripping blood-onion rings worst I've ever had at Spur. Ribs same story-dripping blood (same story underdone). We kindly requested our waiter to make our food well done.
When everything was settled and we enjoying our meal came a manager-a white male I forgot his name and instead of apologising for poor food quality he came with excuses he was busy that's why he came late to our table:like serious too busy for us?
Honestly I didn't enjoy and it was my birthday and wanted to celebrate the night with Spur family as we always do when someone's having a birthday.
I have frequented Emperor's palace Spur, Festival mall and carnival city-service and food quality 100 %. I feel like spur robbed me of my birthday and hard earned cash in difficult time like this. Some of us budget whole month to afford the meal.
Definitely am not coming back to Eastgate Spur. The waiters are excellent but the same cannot be said about their food

On the 30th of October 2019 at around 20:35 I came to spur with my wife and 2 kids to eat dinner after attending my kids concert, upon entering the spur in Bloemgate109 Van der riet street Brandwag as we not attended immediately we walked in to get a table so long knowing that someone will attend to us which was not an issue, before we even sit down a waitress walked to us from the direction of the kids games inside, when she tried to speak to us there was a manager by the name of princess who said, they just walked away when I was trying to assist them in a very unprofessional manner which was not true and she then walked away, we were then left with this lady waitress who was very polite but she was shocked to her Princess who is the manager talking to us like that, and she remarked to say, she is manager she can't speak like that. I then decided to take her name as she told me she is Princess and I asked for her surname and she said I can't ask for her surname and I said because I am going to report this, furthermore I asked who does she report to and said to me with ATTITUDE, I don't report to anyone and ask her so do you own this place and she said yes I do. I then decided to leave AND go back to our table and told my wife and kids that we should leave as we can't eat at place that we are not welcome and we Left. I drove almost 16, 5 kilos to get to the spur to get an appalling service and I had to drive extra 5, 8 KILOS to go to ROCOMAMAS and spend R700, 00 for dinner of which I could have spent at spur. This Manager doesn't respect customers and doesn't deserve to work for spur as she doesn't live by the values of SPUR which I always support due to great food, has place for kids to entertain themselves, she deserve to be fired. food is not well prepared
I bought 600g ribs at spur in secunda today, when I got home those ribs are not well prepared, I couldn't even eat them I lost appetite completely, because I love their ribs but today I'm so disappointed, and it's late I cant go back to the restaurant to show them, I don't think I will ever eat ribs anytime soon because of what I saw, guys even if it can be so full but we want our food well prepared, just image when i got home i thought no today I'm not gonna cook cos i have my favourite meal, only to find this no guys this is totally wrong, i don't think I will ever go to spur any time soon to order take away, thank u

My Pa het het n bottle D'Aria shiraz bestel en ons het kos betstel na 20 minute wat ek vra vi die wyn word ek en my Pa uitgsit omdat ek voorheen vir spur gwerk het. very poor service
2nd time in this Spur, poor service from waiters. Seems there is not enough waiters. Waiting to long to take orders from waiter and to long for drinks and food. The table next to us waited 10 min. to clean up the previos mess. Wanted to drink and eat more at this Spur but with this service it is a no, no. The waiter must clean tables, serve people and run the till in the front?

Good day,
I first contact Spur customer care on 14 August to sort this problem out. After receiving useless explanations I phoned on 16 August, only to be told the problem would be sorted and my points awarded to the right card, but that it takes 30 working days. Well I am still waiting, and have sent more emails with no response or action. The query number is CRM:0010341. I am tired of following up on this and feel that the service I have received is unacceptable. Please check back through the emails sent for the correspondence in this matter, as I shouldn't have to repeat myself AGAIN.

HI my name is Isabell van Zyl. I'm trying to help the Smith family from Benoni to raise funds for their little 3year old daughter Chi-Nelri Smith's medical bills and expenses their medical aid fund doesn't cover. She had to have a liver transplant to save her live after her heart stopped. She was born with the condition Hypercholestolaemi which basically means she inherited. 2 Afrikaner genes one from her mom Chivon and one from her dad Steve and that causes very high cholesterol. She had the liver transplant and the medication she is using for her body to not reject her new liver is immune depressants which in short means the DR's have to keep her immune system low for her new liver not being rejected but it also means she get sick very easily. She was in the hospital last week again for bacterial infection where the new liver was attached called gram negative bacilli which is Sepsis an Klebsiella bacteria... She need to go back to hospital next week again to have a scope done which wasn't done because the medical aid fund doesn't cover it... Please a beg you we really need funds to pay for everything the medical aid isn't paying for and all her day today expenses. All I'm trying to do is to help a small little angle child Chi-Nelri Smith to stay alive and have a future with her family. Without funds she will not all the treatment and test done to keep her alive! Please I beg of you help Chi-Nelri and her family at my side I'm trying my up most to get donations for her fundraising account...

I'm not asking for a give away I'm prepared to shave my hair all of for a change to do a fundraiser or maybe a auction or something at one of your stores where people can bit or donate money for this little girl to stay alive and have a future... we were a table of 12 families and friends had to always look for our waiter mama jack or something, drinks took about 20 min to arrive asked for a glass of water from another waiter never received it, manager just walking around never came to our table
all in all it was just pathetic and looked very disorganised
lastly the waiter was arguing with us about the tip forcing us to tip 10%
we ate only because we were hungry
for a family and friends trip from polokwane to durban to experience such [censored] service, it nearly ruined our whole vacation
i will never recommend this spur to to any of my friends again or dine here next year when we come back!

Worst service ever. Last week, I ordered a meal on Mr D, from burning spear brandwag. There was no option to choose onion rings or chips or whatsoever on Mr D and they still sent me chips and onion rings. Last night I ordered from falcon lake and they sent no onion rings or chips. They were so prepared to answer me when I called telling me that it's because I did not select an option for sides. That option was not there.
