They put cheese on my burger and I specifically asked multiple times DO NOT put cheese on my burger. Paid full price for something I can't eat.
The cashier seemed to have no idea what she was talking about and was very short with me. They seemed more concerned with what their coworker was doing later than taking my order. It took a solid 2min before anyone even paid attention to me.

Tonight at 9:00 my husband and I went to steak and shake, we sat at the menu board for 10 minutes without anyone speaking to us or responding when trying to order. We pulled around to the window and had 3 employees walk by the window, once again now acknowledging us. When someone did walk by again he yelled, can we order? There were already at least 5 cars in line behind us. We sat for another 10 minutes or so watching people work inside while we tried to get their attention. We eventually just left. While we circled the building to leave so did almost the entire line behind us. Once again, they were helping the customers inside and not handling the drive thru at all.

Waited 20mins. I ourdered a shake and a #10 chicken finger meal. Nothing but french fried and chicken fingers. Told us to pull up to the side by the door and they will bring it out. Waited 15 mins before i went inside to see what was taking so long. At the register for 5 minutes, The girl at the register walked past me twice without helping me, then finally went to give the food to my car. The shake along eith other shakes were sitting on the counter melting the whole time i was in there. I would have made a complaint to the store, but i had to get on the highway, i had places to be. Please fix their customer service and wait time. I waited 20mins for a drive thru order, and was ignored.
30 for 2 milkshake and still never got it
Went to steak and shake at Paducah KY just got some milk shakes. We ordered and waited 30 min and still nothing. Server finally came over and told us we should be next soon. There where only about 4 tables full. So we got up and went to a fast food place and had milkshake under 2 min. This is now the 3rd time this has happened. We live a hour away and we go there every time we go to Paducah. Not anymore. Not even my friends that live in Paducah will go there now

I went to breakfast with my daughters and sister this morning. The server didnt come to the table for a good 15 minutes. Then came asked us if we were ready to order. We were not. So she said she would come back, we asked if we could get drinks. It took 10 minutes to get our drinks. We ordered and it took over 45 minutes to get our food. When it came out it was cold. We asked to speak to the manager. The server got rude with us. Then proceeded to talk poorly about us to the manager where we could hear. The manager did absolutely nothing. We will never be back to this location again. I dont think ive ever had such a bad experience in a restaurant ever!

I was recently here on 09/03/19 at 00:45 at this location and I drove 30 min since most of the locations are closed and waiting to be franchised I ordered a chicken tenders and a birthday shake . I was told rudely "No Shakes" so I decided I didn't want anything anymore. I thought if a location is 24hrs all items on menu are available 24hrs if not there is a mixers way to let the customers know instead of being rude !!

Our server argued with another customer about a high chair, then when we went to check out, our check was not in the system and they told me that the customer before me accidentally paid our check and and I had to wait for three of the employees to realize this and then resubmit my ticket. Then after finally leaving we realized that we had never received the cookie we had ordered for my son. However the food was very good.
milkshakes
My friend and I were driving a 4 hour road trip home and stopped for milkshakes in the drive through. With only 3 cars in front of us, it took 50 minutes of waiting. We only ordered 2 milkshakes. That is rediculous! We didn't get home til very late and I will never go to steak n shake drive through again. Not happy. Next time we will go somewhere else that is actually quick. Also, I didn't even get a cherry on top and I asked for one and they just looked at me. Rude.

We have gone to this steak n shake for several years, but it gets worse with each visit and as of tonight, we will no longer be going there.
The staff completely and blatantly ignores customers upon entering and when trying to pay. Restaurant is dirty and food not very good at all, plus prices have gone up.
Waitress never came back or offered refills. My onion rings were cold and definitely not fresh. Just so over giving my business to places that just do not care about their customers. I will be rating it on google, as well. This restaurant gets 1 star, if even.

hospitalized from food
My name is Seth and I ate a patty melt on 8/27/2019in Hermitage Tn. About 4 hours later I started having the worst stomach pains I've ever experienced. And very bad diarrhea with blood. On 8/29/2019 I was hospitalized for this. Come to find out this caused my Colon to swell which was causing my abdominal pain. I need to speak with someone as soon as possible over this matter.

Apparently this store closed but no notice on site nor online when I placed an order online backs on August 16. I made a phone call to customer service on Saturday August 16 2019 and another online complaint on August 23rd.
I have gotten ZERO response. I am more offended and angry about this than the original issue. However, since I got no food and was charged for it and I had to eat something that was not what I wanted, I should at least be contacted! Inconveniences to customers should Be taken seriously. I tried to go through the proper channels and will be having my bank work with me on this. My order was just under $16 but the inconvenience cost me much more than that. I see your company is suffering overall and maybe your lack of true customer service is the problem.

I have been calling for three weeks now and being promised a district manager will call me back on a complaint I raised at the being in of Aug. It is now Aug. 28th and yet, still no call from anyone. I get an apology from the person taking the complaint and a promise of a call that never comes! The first time I voice my concern it was a woman that took the information. Then I called three days later to be told by a man that it can take upto 72 hours for a reply. I waited another week and called to an apologetic woman's voice telling me she is so sorry and this time someone will contact me. I am now calling BS as again not one person is addressing their rude handling from staff at this location on Capitol Dr. in St. Charles location. As a child, Chili Mac was part of my birthday. Mom took me to S n S for several years to get som. Now it tastes terrible. That cannot be the same recipe. Now, I never order it. I wish you'd go back to the recipe from the 1960s. I've tried it several times. Always disappointed. Please go back. I like other items on the menu, but really want to order Chili Mac.
