I am in the drive threw at my local steak and shake right now complaining about the service. The manager himself is rude as hell. He is talking through the speaker box so fast I cannot understand what he is saying. My fiancee and I both feel as if we are a burden to eat at this place. Any questions asked have been responded to in a fast and annoyed manner. After telling us our amount to pay very fast at the drive through speaker box we pulled forward and asked how much an extra patty would be for our food, he than told me two different prices, and when asked which one is the correct price he seemed to be even more annoyed when he had to figure out what the correct price was. I have never felt so annoying to a food joint when asked about the menu. I understand it's busy on Fridays but to make customers feel as if we are a burden is just completely not ok. Went for dinner at the cave springs, St Peters, mo establishment 6-1-18. New cook in training single steakburger ordered pic attached, server agreed it was awful and shouldn't have been sent out to the table server brought out another burger without fresh hot fries so I now have cold fries and new burger just as bad as the first. My biggest issue with this dining experience was the manager who tried to tell me that the burger was made correctly over and over but because I didn't like it she took it off the bill, she has a terrible attitude and non apologetic, no wonder they were dead at 5:00 pm. The place is filthy as well your shoes stuck to the floor. Nasty dirty bathroom also. I will never ever patronize this establishment again.

I am a resident of Clinton Iowa and the closest steak and shake for me to drive to is in Davenport Iowa and that's an hour drive for me and my family. We all love steak and shake and would like one to be here close to home to eat at more often because it's easier to travel to! My extended family also loves steak and shake. We have a major railroad and this is their layover point. We also have a casino thats brinf in oit of towners. We also have ADM that hires put of towners. PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

They harassed us and made illegal actions including requesting papers and medical information at the St. Louis outskirts location by the Wal-Mart. They refused to serve us until we threatened to call the cops. They also dramatized us as berating their employees who were not dressed in uniform and also harassing us and making judgemental statements. No, we don't want to put a service vest on a dog on a super hot day. This took place on Tuesday May 31st at about 4:30pm.
Because of this incident when I left the restaurant i was so angry that I kicked my service dog because it was not moving fast enough. Someone saw me and threatened to report me to Spca. They complained the manager and the manager said they could get my info with my credit card payment. I am afraid that I will lose my service animal which I really need because of them.
If that is the truth, then you they should have called the cops on you. You don't deserve a service animal if you are going to mistreat it. Besides business have a right to refuse service. If you called the cops then they would say that though you were in the right they have the right to refuse service.

My husband and I Just came from the Steak ‘n Shake in Joplin, Mo. We go there often and It usually isn't bad but this visit was very unsuccessful. First we are seated at a table that the server Courtney C. (whom I assume was the night manager because everyone was asking her questions and she was telling people what to do) had just wiped down so it was super wet and she didn't bother to dry it. When I received my meal I noticed it was wrong and when I told her about she shrugged her shoulder like she was implying "well what do you want me to do?" She brought my food back and placed it on the table then left. We tried to get her attention multiple times to refill our drinks but it was as if we were talking to a wall. I get that we came in an hour before they close but working in a food place myself her attitude and service should have been way better. Also her pants were very unpleasing and unprofessional, they were so tight you could see right through them, every time she turned around we saw her butt and underwear.

Sunday, May 27, 2018, stopped at Steak n Shake restaurant in Streetsboro, Ohio at 7:10 p.m. Server advised they were limited in staff. Placed our order immediately. We noticed that other diners that came in after us received their food while we were still waiting for ours. At 8:00 p.m. we left without ever receiving our food or having the server come to our table to see if we needed anything.

Came in for a Wisconsin burger, fries and shake. Told the waitress my blood sugar was low and I needed the shake first. She said their shake person quit and she'd have to make it
No problem. Except, she cleaned several tables, took several orders, and when I asked her where my shake was, she says the manager had to make it.
I left. I'm 54 with lots of choices available. So I left. And took my $8 elsewhere.
I know this isn't life-threatening, being firmer military, but, I felt strongly enough about it, so I'm writing you in hoped service gets better.

I agree. I felt it suddenly drop. Tried the drive through. It was packed. Went inside. If she’d have sayd, it’s going to be a while, I’d have left. It’s really that simple. Within 10 mins of leaving, I already had an Shake and burgers in hand.

I approached drive thru planning to get food for my family and I only to receive some of the worst customer service I placed my order the Woman not sure what position her name was Cierra M She had on a blue collared shirt no name tag on but I'm going by the name on receipt her service was terrible not only that I received the wrong change back had to go back in store after having to sit out and wait on food 10 minutes later my food was brought out fresh chicken fingers but the fries were old and hard they had different workers in and out constantly taking smoke breaks to the point that I sat in lobby 10
Minutes before getting acknowledged by then I was furious and wanted a full refund there was no apology given or anything I feel that is so sad to conduct business in such a unprofessional manner

Recently I went to Steak N shake In Statesboro Georgia and I am very displeased with the service there. I had a server who was really sweet and out of nowhere upper management started obsessively yelling at her for no reason. This is my second time going to this location and having service be horrible. I used to be a regular but after my favorite server Tashana was attacked and then terminated by the store manager I knew it was a long time before I returned.

After a long day myself and my husband stopped at the Steak n Shake location in Weatherford, Texas. It was 24 minutes before closing time inaccordance to posted hours. The drive thru lights were off. My husband drove to the front area where a worker was standing around and tried to get her attention. After not be able to get her attention he asked another work at the front if they were closed and he nodded yes saying they were closed. Again this was 24 mins before they were supposed to be closed. All chairs were upside down on the tables. They were ready to leave. Which I can understand. As we were just trying to grab a couple meals to go after a long day ourselves. We ended up not being able to get service there.

I visited clarksville, indiana steak and shake and am appalled by the customer service I experienced. I ordered two #2 meals and waited 30 minutes in the line. When I got to the window, I gave them my card. 15 minutes later I got my card back by a very rude worker who told me they charged me 16.55 instead of 16.30. She then told me they did a refund for 16.30 on my card (instead of the 16.55). I would have much rather have lost the change than have lost the $16 and had to wait for the refund for days. I wish they would have asked me first before refunding the whole amount. We left because I was then told I would have to pay the $16.30 again and I already had the $16.55 pulled out of my account. We went somewhere else and I will not be back.

Supposed to be open 24hours, walk inside and cook is telling everyone that dining room is closed. Only 2 people total on the clock. Very poorly mismanaged and unacceptable standards for a restaurant that's supposed to be open 24 hours. How are you supposed to be profitable and have repeat customers with a total staff of two? Absolute piss poor. Can't understand how the doors are still open.

I will not be going back to this location. I ordered two medium shakes, after waiting 20 minutes in drive, I get to window. I have a coupon for 99cent onion rings, they said they were out of onion rings, so I ask if I could get fries in its place. So the guy working drive thru, who looked and acting very stoned, got the manager. I asked the manager, her name is Suzie, if I could replace the onions for fries since they were out of onion rings. She said No very hatefully like it was the craziness thing she ever heard! So I say well it's not our fault you ran out of onion rings and hatefully she says it's not our fault either? I say ok, it's not y'all fault? And she says hatefully No its not our fault
we were busy earlier. So I say ok. And she walks away. I thought the manager was the one who does the truck orders and inventory for the store? Well I guess I was wrong 🤔. The manager, Suzie, is very rude and don't care about customer's, she apparently does not like her job, I can only imagine how she treats her employees. I'm not mad because she said No. I'm upset about her attitude towards my husband and I. So after all that we get our shakes and they were runny, whip cream was flat and wasn't filled to the top. So needless to say, I will not be going back there. I will be calling corporate About her attitude and how she treats her customer's. This happened happened on may 26, 2018 between 9:10 and 9:40 Pm. They did not give us a receipt. And the manager name is Suzie, they would not give me last name.
incorrect & messy order
5/23 at 12:30am I ordered a chocolate-covered strawberry shake, which cost over $4.
The shake I received was a plain strawberry shake (without communication of the change and the strawberry shake costs less than the original order). The shake was covered in an entire layer of ice cream on the outside and handed to me without a lid, almost spilling into the car. Overall, it was an incredibly dissatisfactory trip and would like a refund.

We wanted eat to Steak n Shake Creteil this lunch, it was close, i asked the responsable, he said it's closed for few days and don't know when it open... so .. i gone to sebastopol and it they said they going to close for the moment too ... i don't understand ? are you closing all restaurant in france ?

I ordered a double steak burger w/cheese no onions. What I got was the worst burger I have ever seen. No lettuce or tomato and it had onions on it. I asked for no onions. Grrrr. The meet was so over cooked it was crunchy, and didn't even look like a burger. It looked like all the extra peace's from the days old scrapings from the grill. The french fries were cold and hard. Again just old... Grrr
I had already left the travel plaza or I would have taken it back. The total cost of my meal was 10.50. A crappy burger cold fries and a shake. I through out the burger and fries at the next service area. I will never go there again. This was on May 21st 2018 at 4:34 in the afternoon. This was a major disappointment since I have been to steak & shake before. Next time I will think twice before going to another steak and shake.

My family an i are frequent customer's at the Gateway sns, The last few times have been the same experience. It's been busy, and we were waiting a while to be seated the kids were getting restless, 2 servers completely ignored us.. server Heather was at the register and acknowledged us several times to let us know someone would be right there, she hurried to seat us and was amazing with our kids. She took care of her tables an my wife noticed Heather help other servers tables too, she kept smiling, running thru to accommodate everyone. We have seen her like this every time. If she wasn't there to be our server we would probley not stay to eat .I just felt as if something should be said for hard work. We will continue to ask for her as our server.

I went with my mom for Mother's day on Saturday May 12th in the morning. This location doesn't open until 10 so we arrived at 10 when they opened to eat our food. We noticed while we were sitting at our booth that there was wilted lettuce under our bench and the windows and doors were still covered in hand prints and who knows what else. When we used the restroom there was garbage and toilet paper all over the floor and in the stalls. The toilets smelled like pee and one was clogged. The one that wasn't clogged had no toilet paper. The waitress was nice but the whole restaurant was filthy, makes me wonder what it's like in the kitchen. We had gone a second time for the benefit of the doubt that maybe somebody quit, but the second time it was still dirty and the menus were greasy. This is not a place I would recommend to eat at and I place I advise people not to because of the filth.

Every time I try to order steak and shake in the drive thru... there is a note that says closed for maintenance. EVERY TIME! THE LINDBERGH AND MUELLER LOCATION. The last time I was here, I didn't complain because I understand they were busy. Went inside sat down with my son. It took 30 minutes for the waiter to even come to my table. Her exact words were "sorry I forgot I sat you here". HORRIBLE SERVICE. Now I know I will NEVER GO TO THIS [censored] LOCATION AGAIN. When your drive-through is down because of maintenance for 3 months there's an issue. This is the worst service/location I have Ever received I will never come to this location again and their customer service sucks not one person in this place is nice. How's a manager for a fast food service for 5 years and I understand complaints but this is by far the worst service I have ever received my life. I will be sure to tell all of my friends and family to not go to this location. Thanks for nothing

We go to this store every now and again and every time we go, much like today, the service is awful. And telling the manager about it, Doesn't do anything. It took 10 minutes to get drinks, and when our order came it was wrong. The servers aren't good. Nothing about the experience was good, except for the food. The floors are disgusting as you can feel the grease as your feet slide on it. Sometimes we get shakes in the drive through and that takes at least 20-30 minutes to get to the window. When I order my shake, I ask for no whipped cream. When I get my shake, the styrofoam cup is only 3/4 full. Something needs to be done about this horrible store, with awful employees and management.
