This was our go to about once a week either breakfast or dinner... On the weekends we knew better than to dark the door because it is the hang out for the tulsa teenagers on this side of town (south)... Knowing we wouldn't get a chance to make an order... And it be correct. They had a rubber like chicken sandwich... Which we learned the hard way about. But really other than that it was an alright atmosphere. Very cute decor... It is sad to say our sole restaurant closed down and we didn't get any notification. Just a closed sign...

Just got up from the Steak N Shake in Oakwood Ga for we sat there a good 8-10 minutes. No one came over to take out drink order or even acknowledged that we were sitting there. Servers walking all around us and not a one stoped to help us. Got up and left and no one seemed like they cared that we were leaving. Very poor service. I am sure I will not get a resoonse back but just getting this off my chest feels better. Will be a very long time before I return.

We went to steak and shake in Lubbock tx on February 24th and waited to be seated. The waitress placed menus on a table that people had just got up from. My husband asked her if she would get a broom for all the mess under the table. She proceeded to walk off and said very loudly "oh my gosh". Apparently it put her out that she would have to clean up the mess. We will probably never go to this restaurant again which is a shame because before this we really liked going there.

Well were do I start, my mother, sister, and I have been going to your Steak and Shake on s. Dalemabry in Tampa Fl. for over 6yrs Where the place is gotten so bad with customer service, dirty, horrendous smells coming from your bathroom area. we will never come back and today 02/25/18 8:40am. we were greeted by the only waitress by yelling sit anywhere so after sitting for a few minutes the same waitress that has served us for a couple years takes are order then walks away to put it in I check the condiments and as usual the ketchup and S&S spice is empty asked for full ones she copt a attitude, then after cleaning up are table, that we always do i go to pay without the receipt that she forgets to print she goes looks on are table and see's we only left her a dollar instead of 2 we all ways leave so she tells her manager. so they decided to get back at us by asking how old my sister is so they can stop giving us the kids meal for free. so they just cost ur company money and i will be blasting S & S on all social media. and my sister just turned 13 Feb 20...

we went to the steak and shake out by century 3 mall in pleasant hills.horrible service. i am a server and was in aw at how this place is ran. its very dirty.was one server with a full resturant.we sat for 9 mins before we was asked about drinks then another 20 before they brought them. my child got a milkshake instead of a drink and it never came i got a shake n a coke n my shake never came. then another 20 mins go by n we give our order. only my childs food came and she still had no drink.then 6 mins later my husbands food came.and was wrong he sent it back and all they did was pour season salt all over his plate. mind u me or my child still have no milkshakes and i have no food.because there was only one server.poor girl. we then go up front n ask for a manager he was grilling we was told so we sat 20 mins in his view ignored.then my husband yells excuse me and another worker says naw none of that we been busy all night(as to say [censor] younz) so we sit there another 20 mins ignored before we have had it and told our server we want none of the stuff bcuz half was wrong n the other half we never got.we didnt touch a thing! and that we was leavin.never spoke to a manager.and was treated so rude. the poor girl shouldnt be there alone! and yall need a new manager! as we was leaving 2 other pissed off tables walked out behind us.you need new people running this location and more than one server on the clock on weekends! horrible !

Worst service and demeanor or of employees ever seen. My husband went to the steak and shake far east close to post road. Theses sad excuses for employees ignored him standing there waiting for someone to do there job and take his order. They were very aware of him standing there waiting for 15 -20 minutes. Now we have had our share of bad dining services but this takes the cake. I will never recommend this franchise to anyone as long as you have incompetent employees like that working for steak and shake. SMH!
steak n shake employee cursing and threatening another employee
We came in and sat down, and there was a lady in partial uniform walked over to another steak'n shake employee, cursing at him and threatening to drag him out to the parking lot and beat him up. Loud enough to where everyone could hear, even the customers.
This was at the Bristol TN steak'n shake at the pinnacle.

On feb. 22nd, 2018, my family decided to get food at the Monaca, PA steak-n-shake. We eat here quite often as my two young kids love it there. There were only a few tables with customers as the store was quite empty. We waited to be seated for well over 10 minutes as employees chatted in the back. No one walked over to say we will be right with you at all. My children are 4 and 5 and were becoming quite restless. My husband then said that we would just leave and go somewhere else. When leaving the store, we heard a waitress yell, "bye"'rudely. This is unfortunate to me because we really do love this restaurant and eat there often. My husband stated that he won't enter that store ever again. I'm in customer service as well and would never treat someone like that.
no gloves, very bad attitude
I live in Clarksville, Tn and live going to the one and only Steak and Shake we have. There is a heavy set black woman with an accent that is very rude whether I go through the drive thru or order inside. She is very rude, and this is ridiculous. She also never wears gloves or washes her hands when making people's food. Please review cameras and you will see that this is true. I've also had co workers that have been to this place and tell me the same thing. I would just like for something to be done because she is drawing away very loyal, valuable customers. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Steak n Shake in Snellville, Georgia
My husband and I both ordered Triple Steak burgers to go.
Mine was suppose to be with mustard mayo ketchup lettuce and onion.
When I got home and took a bite of my burger it had tomato on it and I am allergic to tomatoes and all of a sudden my lips started to swell and we could not understand why til we opened it up and saw the tomato on it.
Both of the burgers were overcooked and he had a hard time chewing it but I could not eat mine anymore because of the tomato.

On [protected] I placed an order at Steak N Shake No:702 order 116217 for a simple chocolate milkshake. the order entered this was take out after waiting appx 15 minutes I asked for a refund a server that was assisting other customer did ask me if I was being waited on she was not the one that entered my order the manager seems not to care. After my order was placed nothing happened I was standing at the take-out section all the time no one
seemed to care this is one of my worst experience with stake n shake ever
have had a good experience at steak n shake but not this one simply a lack of concern.

I placed my order at the Steak and Shake located on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Highspire travel plaza with Celia on Feb 19 at 6:02 PM for a burger and vanilla milkshake as listed on my receipt. As I'm waiting, I see her and another associate looking strangely at me, it made me somewhat uncomfortable. I get my bag and sit with my wife who got something from another place. I open my bag and there's my burger but instead of a milkshake I have French fries. I mention it to my wife and she says not to worry about it and offered her drink to share. It wouldn't have been a problem but the way they were staring at me as I was waiting didn't sit right with me. I guess I wasn't worth the trouble to make the milkshake for. I'm a person of color so I'm aware of how some people are. They were also people of color, perhaps they were upset that my wife is Caucasian. Who knows but I just wanted to mention this as it not how good service employees act.

Ordered the #16 chicken tenders. Took my first bite, noticed it was very soft. Looked closely and the chicken is completely RAW. Seriously are y'all trying to make people sick!? I am not happy at all. I am scarred, disgusted and very disappointed. I have eaten here many times before. Never eating at a Steak ‘n Shake ever again. The location is Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw.

Monday 2/19/18. We have been going to the Carbondale Illinois location for lunch of and on over the last 8 months. Each time has been hit or miss if we received good service or not but today was the last straw. I will never patronize your establishment every again. We walked in around 1:18pm, we were seated immediately (which normally never happens) and I thought wow this might be ok boy was I wrong. We were seated in a booth near the back section, we were given menus but no silverware. It was another 10 minutes before anyone came to take our order. After placing our order it was another 6 minutes before we received our drinks, and an additional 10 minutes before we received our cups of chili. During this time several other couples were seated near or in our section. Those couples received their drinks and cups of chili in half the time we did. While waiting on our food to arrive there were other couples who came in after us who waited as long or longer then we did for service finally got up and walked out. After about 45 minutes or so waiting on our food and watching those couples that came in after us receive their food I went up to the ticket window to see how much longer it would be. I was informed that there still were 2 tickets ahead of ours, what 2 ahead of ours those were one of the couples that came in after us, seated in our section and they get their food before us that's unacceptable. It's not like we ordered the whole menu, we order a spicy Chicken and a frisco melt. I then went to the cashier offered to pay for our drinks and chili, told them about the horrible service. The cashier said no need to pay. I don't know if you think this is ok but the amount of revenue you lost just in that 45 minutes or so I guess you think that's ok but as I customer I think it unacceptable.
Monday 2/19/18. We visited the Carbondale Illinois Steak N Shake location. We have visited this location several times over the last 6 months, granted good service had been hit or miss on these occasions but today was the last straw. We entered approx. 1:18 pm and were seated almost immediately (this never happens) I thought wow today was going to be different nope same old thing only worse. We were seated with our menus and watched as others came in and were seated and received service before anyone even came to our table. We didn't receive our drinks until 8 minutes after placing our order and it was another 10 minutes before we received our chili. Oh also we never received any silverware at all. As we were eating our chili we watch several couples come in after us seated in our section and near our section receive their drinks and chili in half the time we did. While we were still waiting for our food several couples in and near our section got up and walked out due to lack of anyone coming to their tables. 40 minutes later as I watched those customers that came in after us and seated in our section receive their food before us I got up and went to the ticket window to see where our order was. I was told it still had two tickets in front of me what those two tickets were the last 2 people that came in to your establishment 30 minutes after we did. That was it I went to the cashier offered to pay for our drinks and chili was told you can go and we left. You have a problem going on at your Carbondale location I have never written to you before but today was all I could take. I have enjoyed your food over the years but the service I can't take any longer. As I stated earlier I will not patronize your establishment again. And on top of all this you have employees cursing at each other in front of customers this too has happened in the past.

I visted your Erie Peach street location today and am horrified. I waited 15 minutes to order then I waited another 15 for my food. I didn't have anywhere to be so this would not have been a huge problem if the food was good. I ordered a #5 and upgraded to the large. I got my burger with ketchup, mayo, pickles and mustard. When I bit into my burger it was burnt to a crisp and none of the condiments I ordered were on it. My fries were hard and cold. I thought maybe at least my milkshake will be good since the name shake is in the name, and was again met with disappointment. I paid over $8 for an inedible burger and fries and an icy chunky milkshake. I headed over to Wendy's and had a much better meal for $4. I would like to be refunded in any way possible. At the very least, I would like a voucher for a free meal including fries and a milkshake.

Today I went to the Orange City Florida location where I waited on the drive-thru line for 25 minutes for my order. My order was wrong twice, my Shake was not ready with my food and my large order of onion rings was half filled. She told me that the girl was new so she didn't want to make her upset so she handed me a half-filled order of onion rings and instead of fixing them she just gave them to me anyway. I ordered a bacon single cheeseburger and it came out with no cheese I also said no tomato and the second time it came out it had tomato on it. So now aftet waiting for new onion rings, a new burger and a shake that still isnt ready all my other food is now ice cold. On top of it all, she never apologized, smiled, or greeted me in anyway.

My boyfriend and I stopped at the Steak n Shake on Miller lane on Feb. 18th just after midnight. We went through the drive through and they messed up my shooters, so my boyfriend went back inside to fix it. It took a half hour. When he came out he explained the girl on register was rude to him, refused to tell the kitchen we needed the shooters remade for at least 20 minutes. She was ignoring him, insisting they were "too busy" to help him. Even though she spent half of that time just trying to get someone's card to work. I am usually disappointed by your employee service but this was above and beyond. These employees need to learn better management skills, as well as basic manners. My sisters and I went to this location for dinner tonight and the waitress kept giving us dirty looks and was making us uncomfortable. And when I had asked for another water all her response was to roll her eyes at me. The milkshake I had ordered was not what I received. I visit this location quite often and it's not acceptable the way we were treated today.

Came in Tallahassee steak and shake. The staff was just standing around joking around. We had to ask to be seated. We sat for over 10 minutes without any server coming to us. Then I had to ask for a server. Finally got one. We immediately ordered. Burgers and milk shakes.
When the order came mushroom Swiss burger, and all American burger) they we're mixed up. One sandwich had nothing on it. And the all American burger had cheese which we didn't order. We sent them back. The server took them back to the kitchen where the cook just switched the burgers in the buns. No new sandwiches just threw a few mushrooms on with the burger with cheese and took the Patty off of the plain one and threw it on the all American burger.
This restaurant is terrible and needs new management. The last time I was here we had to leave before our food arrived because they are so slow and bad
guacamole burger and missing food
While visiting Steak 'n Shake in Topeka KS last week my husband, 3 kids, and myself went inside to eat. Husband ordered guacamole burger double which came out being smaller than the kids meal minis one of our children ordered and was missing all toppings except guacamole. The waitress never once came to check on us and when we paid for our food proceeded to tell my husband she wanted a good tip.
Today we got food in drive thru to be brought home to me and the kids. My husbands frisco looked like a pancake and they did not give us our 2 cheese sauces or fries, but definately charged us. Plus one of the two Steakburger minis was missing out of kids meal bag. Very disappointed as we love the food.
