So me and my boyfriend walk in about midnight after a long day in the hospital, mind you im 3 hours from home. Anyways we walk in seat are selfs and wait 20 mins for someone to even help us even though they have no problem talking to a employee from the sound of the convo. Who isent working this night about how stupid some customer's are. Were finally helped and happy knowing are tummys will soon be full. Wrong. We didnt even get the right food, we didnt complain. The burger we did get right had rotten mushrooms and was missing sauce. Waitress agreed about mushrooms and then stated it didnt come with the garlic butter. After showing her the menu did we get sauce that after she yelled to the line cook he forgot sauce and needed a side of it. Not only did he curse at her but he refused he could have possible been wrong and that were [censor]ing crazy. Okay. Wtf did I just hear was my first thought. The food I ordered the melty something had like rubber meat and the chili cheese fries I got was cold... Wtf am I doing walking out hungry at 1 am in the morning when I just paid 30 dollars for a meal I wish I didnt... Rude people. Bad food. I will never be returning to the steak and shake on memorial in lakeland fl. And neither will my family. I work in fast food and ive never ever had bad service like this.

I was at the sanford location and they messed up my order . They didn't take all of the coupons off and I payed ten dollars extra. Pointed oUT we were missing two shakes and they tried to make me pay for them again . More then likely won't be going back for a long while. While standing their the waitress yelled across the store to another coustmer hold on I'm busy in a very rude manner .

Last Sunday me and 4 friends stopped by to eat after our motorcycle ride. Took 40 minutes to get our milkshakes and they came in to go cups. Strike 2. Talked to management and they said oh yea you get a lot more milkshake in the to go cup. 3 of the shakes were not right. Not what we ordered. The food. Took 1 hr and 10 minutes to get food. Had to return all of it. Fries were old and cold . Guacamole was black and burger was ripped into 3 pieces. No one has even a warm sandwich. So they took them back and we watched. They popped all in a microwave. Yup. So my friend got upset and went to tell management we had complaint. I tell you he came back saying don't eat a thing. That grill is filthy and food is all over the floors. This was in Goshen Indiana. When management came to our table she was all of maybe 22 years old. She had no idea how to handle any complaint other than to stand and tell us how good help was hard to find. REALLY. so so dissatisfied with them . It was awful
drive thru
I was recently at your store in Colerain OH. I have had many disappointing meals from them in the past. However, it was the only place open at the time. Once again I was disappointed. After waiting in line, behind only one other vehicle, for 25 minutes. I was rudely handed my food and received no apology for the delay. I pics of the disgustingly over cooked burger that I received. I was able to literally snap it in two.

Why is the drive thru suddenly closed at night? Over the last couple weeks I have been turned away multiple times from the drive thru with a crappy sharpie drive thru closed sign. Is someone closing it just because they dont want to serve it? I truly do not understand, and I ask why this is so? There is nothing else open late night here and I am missing out on dinner now.
wait time for service/food
On 6.18.17 at 7:40 p.m. my family of 3 waited an hour and 40 minutes and still had not received our food. Our table was dirty, my sons milkshake was watered down and no one ever came to let us know a reason for the delay. We went speak to the manager and waited 10 minutes at the cash register to talk to someone. We were told that she just took over the store and she was left with a limited crew at night. The restaurant was not busy and not one staff person was hurrying or in a rush as if they were. There were also 2 other tables that were served before us and they had walked in after we had been seated. We never did get our food and I watched 2 other tables walk out who had also been there over and hour and received nothing. Terrible customer service and we drove 45 minutes just to go there. We should be compensated for our time and terrible service.
milkshake and cookies
Did an online order for a cheesecake milkshake and two cookies for 8:20pm. Got there and waited for 5-10 minutes. Got to the cashier said they ran out of strawberry cheesecake so I ordered a different one. Waited about 20 minutes or more to get it. Told them I also had cookies so the worker said she will get them. A person in a red shirt came up and said they were out of cookies. I was getting a little frustrated just because I waited for so long and didn't get what I wanted but they can't help it if there was not any cheese cake left. I basically walked out with no cookie, nor the shake that I wanted.

On Saturday, I visited Steak N Shake on Wells Rd in Orange Park along with my 3 children for milkshakes. As we where seated, I heard an employee (young lady with a pink shirt) say to another employee " [censor] that" "I don't have time for this [censor] job". Not only did she curse the young man out, she was loud and it was said in front of my 3 children. I'm a disgusted by her language and I'm very disgusted at the young lady for speaking to her fellow employee like that. I will be getting in touch with the corporate office because this is unacceptable.

Waited in line for almost 45 minutes for my food and turns out they didn't even cook the food guy fell asleep in line ahead of me this is not the first time someone has fell asleep at this location but the frustration is in making customers wait 45 minutes for nothing. It feels like every time I come from my 2nd shift job it's always a problem but this time it was just outrageous the workers are barely working.

Cincinnati Ohio. Colerain. I waited inline at the drive thru. 28mins. And then when I received the order it wasn't correct. Went back and employed extremely rude ! Food I was finally given was cold No apology no nothing. The line for the drive thru had 11 cars in it ! And it appears as if 2 employees were doing everything while others stood around doing nothing. This Steak 'n Shake needs a manager that can manage and employees that will work ! Worst 30 mins and $23 I have ever spent !

As l was in the drive through for atleast 20 minutes and then to get home and notice my fries were completely cold and l ordered a snickers milkshake that had hardly any snickers in it. I really like coming here and was extremely disappointed with what l ordered. If l sit in a drive through for that ridiculous amount of time, l expect my good to be as l want.

I have been a frequent customer at your store on N College Ave in Bloomington, Indiana. Food comes out slowly, the floors are often dirty, whatever. This isn't uncommon for one of your stores. However, I have had consistent issues with a manager named Summer. She is rude to customers and staff alike, and can often be seen standing around doing nothing while everyone else works. Just the other day, a poor server named Kim was by herself during a rush we walked into. She was very attentive for someone under high pressure, and gave us the best service she possibly could have considering she appeared to be making shakes and obviously running the entire floor. However, Summer was up front standing around, occasionally cashing people out, and barking rude comments at this poor girl who was going as fast as she could have.
This is not the first time I have seen Summer be rude to employees, and I urge you to look into the matter. No one deserves to be treated in that manner.

Our server was rude to my friend and i, and then wouldn't scan our gift card so we could subtract that from our total. It wad about 5$ on the card we were just gonna use that and pay the rest in cash. The server barley came to our table and when she did it was unpleasant. She also had a cigarette behind her ear and sneezed on her hand when bringing out food..

We have been going there since it opened and other than a few servers the rest are new. A server with red hair said she was going to clean a table and then seat us. After waiting close to 15 minutes for her to seat us which it was not busy another server told her why aren't you seating them. Finally got sat down only to wait another 15 minutes to have someone come over. A nice young girl came over even though it was not her section. She said it was her lead server that should have taken them, obviously management is very poor. Will not be back!
drive through/dining experience/customer treatment
First of all the drive through was "closed"and we had to inconviently go inside, nobody took our order and I stood there for about ten minutes until I finally decided to tell an employee I needed to order. My shakes were made with various different flavors i am guessing from an Uncleaned blender. My banana shake was also less than half full when I got it, and when I did receive my milkshake the man had a very bad attitude towards me and didn't even look at me and tossed my milkshake on the counter. I asked to speak to a manager and told her that I would like my milkshake to be filled and also mentioned the rude attitude the worker had towards me. The manager ignored everything that I said and the worker that had an attitude with me then responded back to me saying bet in a threatening manner. This was at the steak and shake in Macedonia and I will make sure that I tell people of my terrible experience. The dining area was also filthy. By far the worst restaurant I have been to. It'd be better off if you had monkeys working.
drive through
We ordered six shakes during happy hour yesterday June 14. From the moment we miss placed our order in the drive-through, we waited 25 minutes in line just to receive our shakes. When we did finally get them, I inquired as to what took so long. The man mumble to some excuse and then close the window. He never apologized for the long wait at all! I find it completely ridiculous that it would take that long just to get some milkshakes. You can be sure that we will not be visiting that steak and shake again!

Elizabethtown Steak 'n Shake drive thru gave me the wrong burger. I ordered a single cheese steak burger with ketchup, pickles, mustard, and Cajun sauce on the bun. They gave me a single steak burger with onions and no sauce. I saw this mistake once I opened the burger at home. I tried calling the restaurant to speak to a manager but nobody answered the phone.
cleanliness
Noodles for chili old and hard and very sloppy plate appearance. The whole place is nasty from the seats to the even the pepper shaker and bottles of mustard and ketchup.( See photos ) The bottles and shakers as you will see are not just day old dirt or grime. They have not been cleaned for along time. The staff just don't care or the management. Don't chance eating here. This store # is 707 in Louisville, Ky. Photos taken June 13, 2017.
drive thru service
I went through the drive thru last night and there was one car ahead of me. The girl started taking my order and then asked me to wait... I waited for about 15 minutes. I should have left but had a hungry child with me in the car. Finally, my order was taken. I drove up to the window and paid. I thought we would be out of there in a couple of minutes. Nope. We waited for over 20 minutes before someone gave us our food. The people in the kitchen were just milling around. At one point, one girl told another one "Remember the people at the window? There is a lady out there looking at me". Nobody really seemed to care. I will not be back, and my son said he never wanted to go to back either.

I went through drive through about 2:30 pm today. I started to place my order and I made a change to the order as I was placing the order. The person taking my order told me to hold on as she had to make the corrections to the order. A few minutes went by then someone came on and asked if I was waiting to place my order after I had been waiting to finish placing my order. By this time I decided to drive on around to see what the issue was and I asked to speak with a manager and the young lady informed me she was a Manger and what was the problem. I told her I had been waiting to place my order and she said she had to move around and could not see the camera and that she was waiting for me to finish placing my order. She told several lies cause they walk around with head phones taking orders. I didn't go any further with her because if this is the action of the manager the employees don't have a role model. This was very poor customer service, worse I have ever experienced by a manager. No um sorry or nothing
