drive thru nightmare
I had gone to taco cabana new braunfels tx, 811 ih-35 store #20154. On sunday 10/21/2018 at 1:55 am. When I pulled up to the drive through out of courtesy I had asked what time this location closed. The cashier in the drive thru name christi had said "we are closed…" *long pause* "lobby is closed, and the drive thru is open 24hrs." christi then starts going on a tangent how she doesn't want to be there, complaining how there is a line of cars, and that it is 2 in the morning. She finally asks what I want to eat, I felt skeptical about eating there because I didn't want anything to happen to my food. I was with 2 of my other friends and we wanted to split the order. She caught us off guard and said "what? No! Just put yall's money together it would be so much easier. And besides who comes to eat at taco cabana at 2 am!?" mind you there was 4 cars ahead of us. We decided not to eat there and drove away. When we passed by the drive thru window we saw a gentleman in a black polo standing behind christi. I've come to tc enough times to know who the manager is. We called the location asking to speak to him. She then impersonates being the manager and said, "she was joking around and how we need to take a joke." i've worked in the service industry to know bad customer service. This was the worst customer service/experience i've ever had and never had a feeling eating somewhere feeling unsafe.
absolutely a mess
As I have read about all of the other complaints of your stores it seems that the upper management really just does not give a dam about cleanliness in their stores. So my suggestion is that it needs to start at the top firing those that are supposedly in charge of the their areas.
I have been to several stores some are much cleaner than others. If I were a manager of a store I'd have enough folks on duty to make dam sure that my store would be clean at all times, really goes not customer service mean anything anymore now days?

placed an order 7:46pm ( #108380) and did not receive order until 8:07pm per television clock in seating area. This store is always slow. It is always dirty as well. At this visit, chairs scattered all around; napkins, empty drinking cups, and product strewn all over the condiment station, floor littered. The prep team just took their time, wandering from front to back while customers waited for their food. Once I got my order, there were no tortillas in the bag.
I have stopped going to this store for these reasons. Only occasionally when I don't want to go far from my home do I venture over to "try" again, only to find that nothing has changed.

Let me start off by making it very clear that I have never taken the time to write a bad review and have NEVER experienced such unbelievable, terrible and unacceptable customer service! I went to Taco Cabana last night (09/27/2018 around 9:45PM), drive-thru. I waited about 6 minutes, if not longer, for someone to come on the speaker but no one came even after I said hello MULTIPLE times! I drove towards the window and there was 1 truck. I then placed my order at the window (10:05PM) (The Trio (1 sm chz qsa, chips & queso & 6 pk flauta) (sour cream for everything no guac), 3 pk flauta w/ sour cream), was asked if I wanted salsa and I then said salsa ranch and waited. I received my order at 10:22PM and could already tell it wasn't right based on the weight of the bag and items I seen. Rather than holding up the line some more due to not being assisted, I drove to the front. Checking the bags I see there is 1 3 pk flauta, 1 3 oz sour cream, 1 small chz qsa. I am missing the chips and queso that the trio comes with, 6 pack of flautas, the rest of the sour cream AND the salsa ranch that I'm guessing, Ismael, asked me if I wanted and I requested and he HEARD. At this point I am beyond frustrated and annoyed and honestly not even hungry! I go inside and wait as the lobby person takes a customers order. No one pays any mind to me and they were no where near busy inside. Once the customer walked away I have to get this young boys attention and let him know I just went through drive-thru, what I was missing and needed exactly. While I am talking he started to open my bags and asks for my receipt. I took every single thing out the bag and broke it down for him again. He goes to drop the flautas I guess and brings a 6 pk back with 2 3 oz sour creams and a 3 pk flauta NO CHIPS AND QUESO. I am asking him where the chips and queso are since I did not see them in the bag right of hand and he is telling him there are in there. I show him they are CLEARLY NOT and he then goes to tell his boss I am guessing (different colored shirt is how I originally knew he was the boss) I was missing the chips and queso. The manager (JOSEPH RODRIGUEZ *was told my a woman who was also waiting for her food before me that she was an employee there waiting for them to fix her order and that Joseph was just helping out this store*) then yells from the flat top that my Trio only comes with chips since I got sour cream. I explained to him I have ordered this multiple times and the menu CLEARLY says chip & queso (not exact words). Joseph continues to go back and forth with me even after I stress to him regardless that did not make sense since the amount of sour creams I received were for the flautas and qsa which it comes with! Joseph then walks back towards the kitchen as if he were going to get my chips and queso together however starts to look at the order screen and prepare another order. At this point I raise my voice and ask if someone can get me my chips and queso. Another employee started to get it together and Joseph walks back over to the register where I was standing, starts to take off his gloves and slightly claps his hands together and slightly smirk and asks "so you want to order a chips and queso". I repeated that I wanted the chips and queso that my order came with so I could go since I had already been at TC for over 30 minutes. Joseph. Joseph then replies very sarcastically with "well you said you wanted chips and queso, do you want just the one it comes with or order another one". The employee that was gather the chips and queso while Joseph was being extremely unprofessional with me, brought me the chips and queso and I then left. I verified with Joseph that his First name was indeed Joseph and he said "Yes, Joseph Rodriguezzzzzzzzzz" very sarcastically! THIS WAS THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE/TC!
I am a previous employer of TC and worked there for about 3 years. I have been in customer service all my years of working. I would NEVER act how Joseph did or go about any situations the way he did. I would NEVER catch an attitude with any customer of any sort no matter the situation. I would NEVER allow and provide, especially as a Manager (HELPING OUT ANOTHER STORE), such terrible service and carelessness.

I now have your latest version of the Taco Cabana app for my iPhone, and it is terrible. I am in medical device sales and frequently ordered breakfast tacos to take into hospital all over Texas. Your older version kept my order history, payment information, and locations. Your new one does none of that. Have you ever heard the phrase, "if it aint broke, then don't fix it"? Well, it wasn't broken and you screwed it up.
I used to be able to put in a hospital location, and it would show me the nearest TC location. I could place my order, usually for 3 doz or more tacos, and pay for it from the app, drive by and pick it up. Please tell me you can correct this.

The manager Tron was very disrespectful towards his employees which I've noticed every time I would go and eat there. I have a friend who was fired due to asking for a day off because she was having anxiety attacks. I always see the manager on his phone the majority of the time I go over there. I don't think he is right for the position of being a manager at Taco Cabana.
customer service and food
On Saturday night, 08/04/2018, 7:44:33 PM, I went to Taco Cabana Store #20335, 6552 Lake Worth Blvd. Lake Worth, Texas [protected], Reg. 4 - Drive Thru Order #212073 with Employee #160719, Juanita at the drive thru window.
On this night, I went thru and ordered a Large Chicken Fajita Quesadilla with a Chicken Fajita Cabana bowl. Upon arriving to the drive thru window, the lady opened the window, took the debit card which I had extended out to her without acknowledging me or even saying a word to me at all. Came back to the window, opened it and handed me my card and receipt, again nothing was said from her. She then shut the window, came back a few minutes later with our food and again said nothing at all. I looked at her and said, "Thank you, ", she said NOTHING!
On the way home I thought about this and called the store and spoke with the manager. I asked if the lady at the drive thru window had a hearing or speech problem and he answered, No. I told him of my complaint about her NOT speaking and how rude I thought it was and how often I come their for my grandchild, and all her could say was, "She's had a bad day."
Then come home to fine our large quesadilla broke all up in a small quesadilla box. Again, we called and the same manager said, "Yeah, we are out of large boxes." Really?
This is terrible customer service!

I went through the drive thru on August 3rd. After ordering. I sat in line for 27 minutes before reaching the window. There were only 3 cars ahead of me. They handed me the wrong order at first. Then got my order and proceeded home. I realized I was missing the large pico I had ordered and the tortillas that were suppose to be included. I tried cutting into my enchilada and it was hard as a rock. Plus, it wouldn't lift off of the styrofoam container. It was melted into the container!
unprofessional/ uncaring workers
Every time I place a catering order it is never completed or ready when I arrive to pick it up. The general manager at store # 20346 (5036 Rufe Snow North Richland Hills, TX) blew me off like it wasn't a big deal and like my time is not valuable. I placed the order in advance with Nathan, so at least an apology would have been appropriate, but nothing was given.
I was scheduled to deliver breskfast to a medical office at 7:30am, and being scheduled to address 12 cardiologist at 7:30am when they are expecting breakfast does not make a good impression on me or my business.
My only option was to wait on the food.
However I will never use them again for my catering orders.

My name is Ana Womack and I am submitting this letter to inform you of an inappropriate situation that I experienced at the Taco Cabana (TC) Restaurant located at 8030 Culebra Road, San Antonio, TX 78251.
On July 26, 2018, I stopped by the TC Store #20130 and ordered food. While there, I spoke with the Manager (Jeannette—Employee #133212) on duty and asked if I was still on the TC payroll as an active employee because for the last four (4) months, I have not worked at TC for some time due to work conflicts with my primary job.
At that time, Jeannette (Employee #133212) advised that I was not on the TC payroll any longer. When it was explained to me that I was no longer eligible for the TC employee discount, I then gave them my husband's Military ID Card because my husband is in the military and he was waiting in the car for me. My husband's Military ID was used as a discount for my order. I then informed Jeannette (Employee #133212) that I needed to place an order for four (4) boxes of breakfast tacos for the following day (Friday, 7/27/2018). I asked, Jeannette (Employee #133212) if I needed to pay for the order that night [protected]), and Jeannette (Employee #133212) stated that I could pay for the order on Friday morning.
On July 27, 2018, I stopped by TC around 7:00 AM to pick up my order (four (4) boxes of breakfast tacos). Due to the fact that I was a former employee of TC, the employee taking my order asked if I was supposed to receive a discount and I told her "yes." Now remember, the night before [protected]), I showed my husband military ID Card Jeannette (Employee #133212), placed my order with Jeannette (Employee #133212), and Jeannette (Employee #133212) told me that I would receive a military discount for the order.
At that time, I handed the TC employee (Norma) my credit card, but I did not look at the total of the bill. Jeannette (Employee #133212) immediately walked up to the cash register and told Norma that I was not supposed to get the employee discount because I no longer worked for TC . Jeannette (Employee #133212) then stated that she had told all TC employees that I did not work there any longer. I then told Jeannette (Employee #133212) that I was not aware that Norma was referring to the TC employee discount and I thought she was referring to my husband's military discount. Again, remember that the night before, Jeannette (Employee #133212) approved my husband's military discount for the order/pick up that morning.
After noticing that Norma had listed my discount as an employee discount, I immediately asked Norma to void that transaction and to provide me a correct invoice using my husband's military discount.
Suddenly, Jeannette (TC Manager), in the presence of everyone including both TC employees and other TC customers stated to me in Spanish "Cabrona tu sabas que no tienes el descuento." For your information, "Cabrona" is Spanish vulgar slang word meaning son of a [censored], [censored], or swine. I immediately informed Jeannette (Employee #133212) that I was not a (Cabrona) and that I was very offended by her disrespectful words and attitude considering that I was a former employee and now a paying "CUSTOMER." After telling Jeannette (Employee #133212) how offended I was, she walked away and did not even apologize for her inappropriate and inconsiderate actions.
I would like to state for the record that I was extremely embarrassed being called a Cabrona in the presence of TC customers and TC employees and very offended by her callous & deplorable words to intentionally inflict pain. It should be noted that Jeannette (Employee #133212) had previously approved my husband's military discount on the night of [protected] and at that time, she instructed me to pay for the order on the morning of [protected]. When I reported TC to pay/pick up my order, Jeannette (Employee #133212) accused me of trying to use an employee discount when I was aware I was not an employee and when she (Jeannette--Employee #133212) had previously approved the military discount the night before. Instead, she insulted me by calling me a "Cabrona" and I resent the fact that TC Manager would conduct themselves in an inappropriate manner to a customer at the same time, provide negative role modeling for subordinate TC employees.
I sincerely hope that the TC Corporate Office does not condone the actions of one of their Manager's calling any customer a derogatory name…especially in the presence of other TC employees as well as TC customers. Her comments towards me were abrasive, accusatory, and inflammatory in nature as well as a direct attack on my integrity and I am formally requesting to speak with a Corporate Regional Director about this incident.

Norma the cashier has horrible customer service. She was rude as soon as we walked thru the door. Was rude taking our order and was rude giving us our change. I work in the restaurant business myself and would never treat others this way. I'm sire if she was working for tips her tone would change. If she doesnt like her job she shouldn't be doing it. Her impression makes me not want to come bacl to this place.

horrible service
The taco cabana on Dezavala has only 3 people working. On top of they are busy and not only was our order messed up so were multiple customers orders. Even drive thru someone had to come back because they messed up their order. Tables are dirty and haven't been wiped down. Ordered a taco and a kids quesadilla and it took 30 mins on top of them messing up and gave me an enchilada and not a quesadilla.

Lid off the soda machine just sitting on counter that allows anything to fall in the ice despencer.
Ants crawling on at least 2 tables, several dirty tables not wiped down.
It was 2:30 pm and only one other customer was inside besides myself. After going inside I know why.
Restroom lights were not working.
I love TC but I'm sorry I went inside. I will have to find a different location to eat at.

Absolutely the worst location in the entire world!
• In the drive-thru for 15 mins and was the first person in line.
• they forgot my drinks and I had to knock on the door to get it.
• made me wait an extra 5 mins for the drinks
• got there at 12:30 and doors were already locked when they're suppose to be open until 1am.
• they forgot the toppings on 1 of my tacos.
• the beans were dry and hard tasted like it had been put into the to-go box hours prior to me being there.
• the rice was cold and hard.
• I asked for no cheese 3 times prior to me even getting my food. Once at the ordering, another time right be for i paid, and then to the manager when she handed me my food. The funny thing is I asked "you didnt put cheese on the beans right? I'm black toast intolerant" and the manager had a blank stare as if she didnt know. Then suddenly before even checking my food she offers to just give me a new set of beans!
• I asked for split tender between 2 cards and if it could be done. They said yes and charged 1 card for the full amount.
• they didn't give me a receipt so I had to check my bank statement to see that 1 card was charged.
• I called to get a refund and had to drive back.
• when getting the refund I gave a completely different person at the window my 2 cards and asked for a refund. Not having the receipt I told him i needed it refunded. Then he says "2 cards? We're not suppose to do that." I asked him to just reverse the transaction and he couldn't because the receipt was trashed by the previous employee. I ended up telling the kid to just void the transaction and give me cash.
This place and all the employees are TRASH. Thank you for being nice to me but you all forgot that if you cook people's food the wrong way... THEY CAN DIE! They need to shut down this location I'm surprised they got away with so much!

Went laat night ordered fajitas for 1. I waited in line 20 minutes and when I got home we only recd less than half container of chicken and the chicken was burnt and dry on top of being only half full. This has never happened. Every time our chicken container was full to the brim. We were so mad. This is unacceptable. What is foing.on. I went there Saturday and the restaurant was dirty all rables.were not wiped off and bar was empty I complained to manager and she said that's just the way it is

Waited in a long drive thru line so that my grandson could buy a small fajita meal for himself and his dad and when we arrived home there was no meat. We received grilled onions instead. This is plain off ridiculous. Will never eat there again. You really need to check all orders and have better customer service. I called the store and literally was told it was my fault for not checking the order. Below is a picture is what Taco Cabana considers a fajita dinner. No meat received.

I ordered the 3 Pack steak fajita tacos, They were the worst tacos I have ever eaten at Taco Cabana had too much pepper had too many onions and I hate onions the lady did not ask if I wanted corn or flour tortillas which obviously Being Hispanic I would have ordered flour, didn't get napkins or salt or hot sauce I will not be going back to this location !
there was no meat at all
I was waiting in line for a very long time and only to hear there was no more meat left, and they do not mention it at the drive-thru but when I was already about to pay. The car in front of me though was notified when they were ordering their meal. I thought it was really ridiculous especially since the establishment's name is Taco Cabana and usually in tacos there is meat and if you are not going to get meat what other main courses are on the menu that don't involve it.
