My son Ryno Rust tel no [protected] bought a hurricane digital airfryer online for me for r1599, 00. I did not like the shape and asked to return the item. I was given a date that the item will be fetched on 22 feb 2021, which it was. The driver kizza from takealot in cape town phoned his superior by the name of albert, to explain that I want the milex xxxl airfryer that was on the fire sale for r2299, 00. How can I go about logging this to be an exchange instead of refunding the cash. Albert told me on the phone while kizza was present he will get somebody to contact me to solve the problem. I told him the air fryer is it going to be available forever. He insured me on that day 22 feb I will be contacted. It is 26 feb 2021 and I am still waiting. I contacted kizza about the story, he told me he told albert which said he will phone me, I am still waiting. The air fryer is no longer available at takealot, and still I have no reply from takealot. I told kizza albert will have to find me that specific airfryer. I was in tears. The order no was#[protected] and the return no was rrn-710c-f405which the delivery address was my home address in langebaan. I did not have internet connection at the time of ordering and asked my son to do so for me, and transferred the funds to his bank account. Please I have never been so disappointed in not getting an item I realy, really want. The copper pot inside and the liter capacity ideal for the amount of people cooking for. I ask that someone contact me explaining why people working for the company sy things and nothing gets done. I also tried several times to contact takealot but the lines are just engaged. Good Afternoon,
I would like to begin my email by saying that I began my morning utterly disgusted in your service. But, left the phone pleased and feeling loved. I had ordered a UV Light on the 18th of February, in the mists of beginning my own nail salon. I was well aware that the Light was going to take 3 weeks to ship and I was willing to wait.
Upon receiving many different queries on how long it would be until I am available for business, I became worried that I would lose my customers. I referred back on the set date of the arrival of the light and felt it was an uncalled for long time to wait. So, this morning I decided to contact Takealot to see if I could possibly have my order be retacked and be available sooner than expected. So I called.
I was on the phone for not even 2 minutes when, what sounded like a young man had answered. His name was Jody Lee Jensel. I explained the above to him. He had no hesitation to track my order. It took not even a minute and he was back on the phone, telling me that unfortunately the UV Light I had ordered was unavailable by the supplier and could possibly take months to arrive. My heart fell to my chest. My business was about to be destroyed, before it had even started. I began to stress about the procedure in cancelling the product, getting my money back and looking for something new. I became very demotivated in less than 30 seconds.
Jody calmly took me under his wing. He told me that everything would be okay and that he would help me, no matter the cost. He proceeded to tell me that, if I wanted, he would cancel the order for me. I took on the offer of course, because less stress. It was done almost immediately. He asked me to fetch my laptop and check my emails, the confirmation of the refund was through and I didn't have to do anything ! AMAZING. I thanked him and he asked if I would like help in choosing another product. I was astonished. Mind you, this is a male, he knows absolutely nothing about UV Lights, but he did his best. He had searched the internet and looked through Takealot to find the most suitable, affordable and best UV Light for my business. Jody had found a light that was better than the one I had previously bought, cheaper and available in Cape Town. I was overwhelmed with joy. He remained on the phone with me, I ordered and paid for my new UV Light, Jody told me that it would be ready for collection on Friday.
Because of Jody Lee Jensel, I can now begin my business 1 week sooner than anticipated. Takealot, you have scored yourself a phenomenal employee. I understand that this is his job, but myself and probably 90% of the people reading this would have not done what Jody did for me today. I will contact Jody for any query I have from here on, out and I suggest that you do so too. If Jody is not available, I will wait until he is. I have had many consultations with Takealot employees previously, but none were as exceptional as Jody.
I know that it is not my place to say, but I believe that he should be in a management position. He has people skills, a calming aroma and the ability to assist where need be. I know nothing about this boy, but I was a manager before opening my own business and he has the potential to better Takealot and the grounds it stands on. I wish Jody Lee Jensel all the best and if I had the ability to improve his life, I would. Please, Takealot if you have any remorse don't hesitate to contact me, I feel that Jody is too advanced to be working behind that phone. He is the reason I will use Takealot again.

Returns service - refund not received.
I returned a Galaxy watch that my son had changed his mind about having. I returned it on the 5th of February 2021 for a full refund, but to date I have not received my refund.
I received an sms confirmation for the return with reference number: RRN-78E3-74FB
I called the Weltevreden Park Pickup Point that I returned the sealed parcel to, a week later, only to be told that the parcel could not be found at the pickup point and instead the lady I spoke to wanted to know from me if I had in fact returned it.
I found that very odd as I had received an sms confirmation that the parcel had been returned.
I gave the return reference number to the lady who then promised to call me back once they had investigated.
I had to call the pickup point again in a few days as no one had called me back, only to be told that the parcel had been located at the warehouse (I think) and would be returned so that the refund would be processed, however up to this day no refund.
I then called the Takealot customer contact centre to report this issue, I have already spoken and sent emails to 2 ladies, one who promised to get back to me before the end of business day on the 18th February but didn't, and the other who responded with email today (19th Feb.) to say they will come back to me once they have 'clear feedback' about the parcel (I suppose 'clear feedback' from the Pick Point).
I have run out patience, waiting for my refund. Whatever shenanigans are happening with returned items at the Takealot Pickup Points is none of my business, I just want my refund processed and then they can deal with their internal issues.

On the 15th February I made an order of two bags, a sling bag and a purse, tan in colour both, that was after the order of a number of hand bags. Yesterday evening 18/o/02/2021 I received 4 boxes with the bags and two bags I ordered last we not there, order no # [protected].I sent an email on Takealot.com there and then but up to now I haven't received response.I've beeb calling as well but answering machine just swallowed all my airtime.

Unethical behaviour
I purchased a hisense 55"tv online with takealot 22-10-20 and paid immediately via credit card. The tv was delivered and in working order. I started noticing issues with the tv in terms of it not switching on unless I switched off the full power supply and did a mini reset, whereby it would still take 10-20minutes before registering anything on the screen. This issue arose from around nov so approximately a month later. I was unfortunately working away on business and out of town for nearly 2months and upon my return notice the issue persisting. I immediately contacted takealot and submitted the return request online 28-12-20. I personally delivered the tv to the montague gardens warehouse in cape town and it was confirmed that there were no issues w.R. T tampering etc. Takealot accepted the tv and advised me that they would be submitting it to their teams for the necessary checks as to what could be wrong etc. All this detail I can provide proof of (order record; numerous email correspondence etc.) I received feedback via email from takealot that they could find no fault and that the tv was in working order. I challenged them on this and said that I never said the tv does not switch on but rather that it does not register anything on the screen unless I unpower and do a mini reset whereby it still takes 10-20 minutes before registering. This should never happen with a brand new device. I continued to follow up with takealot as hey had stated they would deliver the tv for me to check and if I was still not satisfied that I should re-submit the request for return/refund to the them, thereby starting the process over once again. Nearly a month went by (approx 3wks) with no further feedback from takealot despite my numerous emails and calls to them which were ignored and not returned! I had submitted numerous enquiries in requesting takealot technical/service department to provide me with a copy of the report indicating what they had checked and what was the feedback as to the tv's functioning and when the inspection was actually done - this request was completely ignored with no responses to date and no report provided to me. Terrible customer service continued! I had still not received my tv more than a month later! (in it being returned to me nor any feedback as to what the delay was since they had stated their policy for it to be returned to me within 5 days of receipt of the item) I then personally went back to the takealot montague gardens warehouse to personally make enquiries as to where my tv was and what was happening with the enquiry. I was sent from one agent to the next who simply said the tv was allocated to be dispatched to my home and I had to wait for it. Further time went on and again numerous emails and calls made from my side. I then went back to takealot warehouse in montague gardens again, and insisted on speaking to a manager or someone senior."bonamoses kalamba"then spoke to me and said he is the manager, after many delays in waiting for him to find out what is happening he came back to show me an email (and I had a witness with me on the day) that my tv had been delivered on the 5th of january 2021! I had a delivery of which I informed takealot that I did not place and had no idea from who it was, but a camping chair was delivered around the 4/5th of jan 2021. I have proof of having made the enquiry regarding this and was told it might have been a gift purchase from someone... And he looked at me bewildered as to what I was complaining about?!?! When I pointed out to him as to whether I look like a"bryan lawrence"since I am a female and my email on their records clearly show a very different address.. He seemed dumbstruck with himself... When I questioned him as to how my tv was delivered to a different individual and to date none of this had previously been shared with me despite my numerous enquiries and the time and efforts made to find out he simply stated there must have been a mix-up somewhere...! This was now into the 2nd month+! When I questioned how the tv was delivered to someone else yet my details reflect and the fact that no-one at takealot shared this information with me, and the fact that the individual had had use of my tv since early january 2021 and I have been without... He said he needed to check something and would come back in 20 minutes... He did this about 3/5 different times (please check the video footage from the takealot warehouse on the day - 20-01-21) I even contacted hisense sa service department to enquire about a technical report to issue to me as to what their report was regarding my tv since the manufacturer was hisense - I have email proof to provide on this as well. Unfortunately they informed me they could not assist without a job card number.. This was around 25-01-21.
To date still no tv and still no refund to me! I was contacted by phone and email by"niyaaz lodewyk"on 02-02-21 who is apparently a manager as well as"mariska mabee"on 05-02-21 from takealot who both confirmed that they will issue an escalation for my refund to be processed as a result of the matter since I had to give them the full rundown of this issue. To date once more, no resolution and now no-ne at takealot is responding to any of my emails or calls either! I have submitted a complaint with the cgso (nadimah) reference no. [protected] (acknowledgment of complaint noted 26-01-21) and I have subsequently followed up twice with the cgso as to an update and the feedback is that they have received no response from takealot..
I receive a delivery of a 28/32" ecco tv around late january 2021 and immediately sent this query to take a lot to gain advise them that I had not ordered this and not sure why this was delivered to me - I even sent them photo's of this on the same day while the courier guy was still present and informed him of the matter as well. He insisted that I had to take the package as they are not told what they are delivering and their policy is to not return items, but that the returns are handled through takealot who would have to get another individual/delivery service to collect the item as he would get into trouble for not delivering as that was his job?!) the tv was clearly a very old device, clearly used for some time, the lcd screen seemed cracked/damaged etc. I did not even bother to try and take it out the ox to use in any even as this was not my tv and a disgrace of takealot to think they could provide me with something of this poor standard as a substitute to make up for my new device purchased and paid for?!?!?!
I am going to lodge this matter with other complaints avenues as I am beyond irate as to how I as a customer have been treated and the fact that takealot has in fact defrauded me and further refuse to acknowledge me as a customer since they completely ignore my requests! Absolutely shocking customer service if any can be noted! Their incompetence is beyond me! I simply want my money back and never to have to deal with this provider ever again!

I ordered and paid for a Ringlight that was advertised with a tripod and remote control, which was delivered without a remote control, I returned the item in the very same packaging to them, and the second one was also delivered without a remote control. spoke with various staff members who are really not interested in helping and each time I need to go through the whole explanation again, I was given empty promises each time, and the staff do not even have the courtesy of coming back to me. To whom it may concern I returned a parcel on 3 february 2021 I have footage and a witness as to what was returned - on the 4 february 2021 I receive a email stating I never returned the scale which was part on a bundle watch and scale one unit. This is not true as the bundle was in the parcel sent back? Since then all I get is that they are looking into it and will advise? About this issue of them delivering nothing of what I actually ordered and then TakeAlot refuses to do anything about the mistake THEY HAVE MADE.
They then force the customer to run after tem, spend more of your money and time for them to do anything at all. This is not how you conduct business.
I would accept their apologies, but it's only lies, all I got from this lot the last week is apologies with no action at all. I STILL do not have the item I PAID FOR, and would never get back the time and money spent chasing them to fix their mistake.
hp compatible laser not original
Some time back I bought HP toner from takealot and I am their regular I dont have a date but surely they have it in their system. Today when I open the toner it was HP compatible laser but I paid R1000 plus for it. I paid for original and I get [censored] product. I ordered a GMC Air Purifier for R2, 799.00 in December After testing the device it did not meet my satisfaction and I logged a return the same day. 2 weeks Later it was collected by an appointed Courier company utilized by Take A Lot I asked the drive who collected the Air Purifier for a receipt to which he replied we do dot issue receipts and proceeded to stick a bar code sticker on the cooler as well as a Hard drive chassis I was also returning. 10 inch LED ring light
I ordered a ring light on the 12th of January 2021 and finally got my order today.
