I have been a seller on takealot for over a year now and can I tell you how negligent these people are with the sellers stock. Every single shipment that has been sent to takealot one or many items have been missing
Either takealots staff have sticky fingers or their warehouses need better quality management or they need to review their entire system of receiving goods
They have lost a total of 30 items costing me way over 500k
They take months to relocate the goods sometimes with no luck
They return phones that have been used by the customer back to me... How was I supposed to resell that n the reason for the customers excuse is I changed my mind.
Some returns Come back others get lost.
They need to review their term n conditions with returns.
I even had a phone returned to me with the wrong IMEI no. On the box
So either the customer put a broken phone in the box took my phone and returned a broken phone.
This is one out of many reasons why they are the worst platform to sell your products
They immediately deduct the money out of the sellers account without doing a proper investigation into the customers return.
Absolute disregard for the seller, we must bare the brunt.
I'm so sick of their disgusting service, I hope Amazon.com puts them out of business

Good afternoon. Sorry to request assistance on this platform. I have asked on the app under the help section to guide me with multiple profiles assistance.
I have bought a 16 channel Hikvision camera set for R7199 on take a lot including 3 x 100 cables.
The camera system was out of stock and i re-ordered paying R8186 and the 3 x 100m cables was delivered as per order. This was on the 5th November 2022.
My problem is one morning when i checked up on my takelot account I was logged out and when i logged in it was on a different acount not showing the camera set2.
Will it be possible to merge the two accounts so I can track the camera set please

Good day, I made an order by 1 November and the order was suppose to be delivered by 5 November and it was not and was promised that it will be done by the 7 November and still not, called Takealot delivery about this on the 8 November as I waited the whole day for the delivery. today on the 9th I called again and no effort it done to make sure it done today since it very late and could not surprise my son with his birthday gift and they just ruined my son birthday. I, Louis Zaayman, ordered a Goldair 320 L fridge (Order #[protected]) on 24 October 2022.
Delivery was scheduled for 3 November 2022 before 5 pm, with “Fast and Furios” couriers.
It is now 4 November 2022 21:42 pm with no delivery or communication from couriers.
Need the fridge urgently for cooled products which are inspected by Japanese clients on 6 November 2022.

Returning a Mixer
I bought a mixer and received the wrong one..within 10 minutes of opening the package the same day I called for it to be returned. Why do I have to pay for something immediately if you don't collect the wrong parcel immediately and return my money?
This is the second order in a row that was incorrect ..it is just unacceptable that I have to wait for days before you collect a parcel where your people are at fault.
Desired outcome: I would like a same-day return when something you sent was not what i ordered.

Good afternoon I received my takealot package on 01/11/2022 and I ordered 4 items in total and only received 2 out of the 4 items I ordered it was 3 small crystal bags with different crystals that each small bag contains and one tiger eye crystal necklace and would like to know here my other 2 small bags of crystal are and would like them to be delivered to me as soon as possible

i ordered and payed for 7 items on the 14th of October. delivery was done on thursday the 20th of october which my neigbour signed for. when i opened the boxes i noticed that 2 items were missing. the energy drinks and the cellphone stand were not there.
i confronted the driver the next monday as another order was delivered to me. i noticed the driver drinking the exact same energy drink that i had payed for but never received. the driver insinuated that my neigbour might have taken it( shes 60+ years old.)he informed that he would take the issue back to the office and that i would get a call from takealot. i never got the call and no response from takealot after i informed them via their website.
i have been buying from takealot for years and never had this kind of problem.
i feel like i cant trust the company anymore.

Purchasing items
Ordered a new computer motherboard costing R8070. It arrives in the manufacturers box not wrapped / sealed in a takealot box or anything, it is just the manufacturers box yet it is a delicate and costly item. At first glance I see the box is slightly damaged. This prompted me to check it properly. Now I see the item is not sealed (Manufacturers box is open), no sticker sealing the lid to the box.. The box had been opened and the motherboard was taken out the antistatic plastic (which is also supposed to be sealed) it comes with. So whoever has either used the item or had it on display somewhere. So I log a return "to no avail" I call takealot, the guy I speak to didn't even raise it. I then raise it myself off the app. I then hear nothing no email no nothing. So I call them again, a gent then gets all the details and I finally get the email I attach all photos and send off. So now I am waiting for some form of correspondence as there is dead silence. I have lost all faith in takealot. It has now the 27th and the replacement "Return" was logged on the 21st October.
Desired outcome: Replacement if Motherboard with a new SEALED one.
Samsung Smart Tv MRRN-J544N-DYD5
Purchased a Tv December 2021. Returned it in July due to picture quality. Warranty was still in place and manufacturer decided to replace LCD screen. TV returned 18 August with a cracked screen. Return was logged with pictures. Supplier refused to accept responsibility, after much back-and-forth TV was accepted at warehouse on 21August. Escalation and exception was requested in September for a refund. i have contacted the callcentre every week since 23 August. The response is the warehouse manager needs to update then refund will be processed. It is now 19 October, 15 October I recieved an email stating refund must be transferred into my credit card. 17 October a new return was created and courier sent to collect the TV again. The TV is not here, refund is not being processed and no manager bothers to call back.
I am completely frustrated.

Incorrect Order and unreasonably lengthy return
I received my order of 2 laptop bags on the 4th of October but it was the wrong bags (not even close in quality). I logged a return on my account (stating that they replace the items as my preferred outcome). I then delivered the bags at my nearest pickup point within 40 minutes of receiving them.
According to their online returns tracking system my return was done being processed on the 10th of October. I am still waiting for my bags. I contacted them via email to enquire about progress and I have just been brushed off continuously ever since.
I visited the pickup point on the 17th of October. The customer care agent there called them on my behalf and requested an update. She was told that my return is still being "processed" and that I would receive a call from them when everything has been finalized on their side.
I am beyond frustrated with this company and I will be sure to never use their services again.
Desired outcome: Replace item or refund me my money and stop wasting my time.
No option to contact them on their app
I just need to know why there isn't a "contact us" option on the app to make communication easy seeing that they fail to communicate.
I've placed an order 2 weeks ago and the delivery is supposed to be today (15/10/22) but when checking on the app it still says that there are still waiting for one or more items. My wish is for them to communicate which product they are still waiting for so I can have an option to cancel it and receive the others.

Additional charge on products not disclosed, authorised
On friday 23sep22 at 11.12 i authorised payment of R3400 fo two lithium batteries from Takealot. (12v 12ah capacity). Shortly thereafter
while still receiving confirmation from Takelotand FNB another unauthorised payment notification for R566.37 was received.
FNB were immediately notified of this fraud.
Fnb cancelled my card and stated that they had put a hold on this payment. I went into the bank and was assured that this was fraud and that the payment would not go through.
The payment was apparently to an entity amazon marketplace.
When on tuesday 27sep22 i collected a new card. i was again reassured that this payment was blocked.
However i now see that the payment has been acted on so my account has been debited the full R566.37 plus bank charges.
FNB so far have offered no explanation.
I am now much afraid to transact with Takealot, so are my friends.
Where does this payment come from,? How could it be acted upon without my authorisation?
How can i be sure that a future transaction with Takealot will not incur such an additional charge?
Is this a hack of the transaction?, or is Takealot having some relation with amazon marketplace which includes giving them my bank details and allowing them to levy an additional charge without informing one of this?
Either way unless i am offered an explanation and refund, i will not feel able to avail myself of the sevices of Takealot again.
So far this is also the only advice FNB have offered.
Surely this is not good business.

Little leila baby clothes
Ordered a set of baby clothes for my boys Baptized on Oct the 9.
order was placed on the 22 Of Sept, enough time to deliver. I have received a gaspyp instead.
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THE CORRECT PRODUCT FROM THE 29TH OF SEPT.
The people handling the return tells me they need the bar code on the plastic that the box was in, I have never received a takealot box in plastic. I have send photo s of everything and still I don t have any answer a week later this is truly the worst service I have ever received if you guys had quick sufficient service I could have still collected the baby clothes this week my self at your depot. Extremely disappointed.
Incorrect product was received and now they won't refund me
I purchased a shoe from them ,but I received a very different product which color and size was different. I returned it but they have rejected my return and haven't provided a proper reason. The order was delivered on the 27 September 2022 and up until now ,no feedback or credit has been given to me yet. I am very disappointed and would like a refund/credit as soon as possible.

I am totally annoyed by the new system, where drivers call before even attempting to deliver the parcel. This happened with my previous order now with the current one. Where I miss a call then immediately get a notification that my order has been rescheduled because they couldn’t get hold of me…
I was at home on Friday, there was no knock at my door nor did I receive a call from my gate as I had already notified them that I am expecting a delivery but the driver never pitched which then became my fault. Rescheduled for Saturday and the lady tried the same stunt. She called to ask for the code and I advised that she was already booked in but still sent it to her waited for over 30 minutes then got a text that my order could not be delivered because I wasn’t available to receive it… when again I was at home. I eventually got hold of her she came to my door step to tell me there should be 2 boxes and she only has one and for that reason she cannot deliver and will ensure she does on Sunday never heard from her again.
I’ve booked the delivery at the gate for today. Luckly I am home but my thing is I can’t even leave my phone because one missed call my order will be delayed again. They shouldn’t call unless requested by security which is never the case if they already booked. It is honestly annoying as I needed my order on Friday and now I am inconvenienced and still have to sit and wait to avoid another delay.
