Talabat service bahrain
Hello. I am based in Bahrain and use Talabat here. I find it very frustrating to have been placing orders and then after 20 to 40 minutes I only get to know my orders were not submitted to the restaurant. Talabt officer claims it is the fault of the restaurant and restaurant says all is okay from their end. I find this very unprofessional of Talabat.
Delivery
for 2 consecutive days i submit orders on talabat app and waited for more than 2 hrs to be delivered .. called the chat agents they do absolutely nothing and end the chat by saying i ll apply a compliant for the complains team to calls you then nothing at all and no one calls back
then i called and asked for a manager, till a manager called Moustafa called me and said let me check and call you back then he disappeared and never called back
i again called back and asked for a manager that again had absolutely no idea what am talking about, and again repeated the same words of let me check and call back, till i was pissed off and said i don't want anything thing from your poor services so he didn't care a bit and let me hang up with angry feedback . and case was closed and no one even cared
wow what a service !
Payment not received
I've been waiting for my refund for more than 11days (order [protected]), for an order I paid in advance and was cancelled by the restaurant (bayn alqasrayn restaurant). Not enough that the restaurant didn't call me to change or clarify, talabat customer service has to just say "don't worry" you will receive the refund.
Unfortunately I will go back to foodonclick.com as they are more professional.
Super late — 2 hours to deliver a pizza!!!
Hi, this complaint is regarding my order ID: [protected]
I requested the order around 9PM and received it around 11Pm.
My 6 years old son had a craving for this particular pizza and I ordered for the full family but I never realized that it would be delivered so late.
My son & wife slept without food that night and only I had a bit of that pizza and throw rest of them in garbage.
I am deeply disappoint with the poor service offered and that too without pro active effort to keep me in loop.
Not only I wasted my money but disappoint my son as a father!
Service/unethical behaviour
I ordered from lazeez restaurant through talabat qatar on 30 nov 2017, I called the restaurant to check on the delay, they mentioned the order was never prepared because talabat did not submit order to them. I called talabat to complain on the service since it was 2 hours and 10 mins since my order. She apologised and said she would check and let me know, she never called. I recalled and complained to the new agent, who was least apologetic, I just cancelled and she never compensated for my lost time or the bad service that they offered.

I made order from ZEITONA restaurant and I was called by TALABAT agent after 56 minutes Ms Hanna HUSSAINsaying that they have issue and the order cancelled I asked she shall talk to the restaurant and ask the restaurant to deliver the order from their side but she refused to do so and she refused to transfer me to her superior as when I insisted on that she just kept me on hold for a while and cutoff the line like it was disconnected. I called again and MR AHMED ALI picked up in fact I didn't waste more time and I just asked him if he can find me a solution as I Am heading to a meeting soon but he wasn't helpful too... waiting for 56 minutes to discover the issue and tell your customer go to hell this is unpractical solution and not acceptable at all.

I placed an order at 1:04am.
I waited for an hour as the specified time was at 60 min max.
By 2:04am I messaged your live chat agent.
He apologised, called the restaurant and said he couldn't get through but said to just wait at the order went through.
I waited for another half an hour and still did not receive the order. Again, I messaged an agent.
He told me to wait for 10 minutes and that if it did not arrive after 10 minutes, he would do whatever it was I wanted done.
It was then 2:42am and by this time I had waited for 1 and a half hour.
I received a message from the agent saying that he spoke to the restaurant and the delivery driver would call shortly.
I mentioned to the guy before this that I only planned to have a meal before I rested as I had work early in the morning.
I said I don't want to wait until 3:00am for a food delivery which already kept me up and waiting for almost 2 hours.
Again I messaged an agent, he said he checked again with the restaurant and double chacked my order.
He then left the chat while I was typing.
I exited the app and opened it again to find a new agent.
There were no agents online.
Once an agent became available, I told them I had waited for 2 hours, told them of the inconvinience, mentioned that they reassured me of my order and to wait 10 minutes after my last message and told them they are keeping me awake having to wait for two hours even though I have to wake up early for work.
By this time I was very tired and now hungry and starting to think of complaining as it looked like there was something wrong.
I messaged again at 3:11am and was told to wait.
He got back to me after a few minutes and told me to wait again.
By 3:16am he then said he got in contact with the restaurant and said they will call in a few minutes.
He then apologized and tried to reassure me in saying that he will make sure that would not happen again.
I started to doubt what he said.
I said an apology will not compensate for lost time and keeping me up that long. It was too much.
I reminded himi had to rest as I had work early in the morning.
By 3:22 he said the restaurant manager informed that he will call.
I told him I will wait for the call.
I told him this was unnacceptable.
He said he would do his best to make sure the order was delivered. By this time I felt he would say anything so he could stop doing his job.
I messaged again saying that I still did not receive either the order or a call from the restaurant manager.
I asked him if he really spoke to the restaurant.
He assured me that he did.
I told him to call again as nothing was happening.
By 3:31 he said out of nowhere that my order was cancelled because I did not answer my phone.
I said that was impossible as I had been waiting for two and a half hours beside my phone, using it, messaging the live chat agents.
I made it clear to him that I had taken screenshots of my chat sessions with your agents, the exact times on the screens and my call history.
He just replied again saying that it was because I didnt answer my phone.in short, your employee was calling me a liar.
I told them to call the restaurant and have them call me.
Do you know what your agent said next?
He said the restaurant is closed.
Naturally, I told him how unprefessional and dissapointing the service was.
I asked him what time the restaurant closed.
I said that they already had me wait for an hour after successfully placing my order at 1:04am.
They had me go though 3 seperate chat sessions.
I had then waited for 2 hours.
I said I was told that they spoke to the restaurant manager even though the restaurant was closed which I could now see were straight lies.
He told me to wait for a call I would never receive from a store that was closed.
I called the hotline as the live chat was not going anywhere.
I spoke to the same guy on the live chat.
So of course, after explaining to him what he had done and not even trying to find a compromise (I dont think sorry is a compromise in this situation)
I asked for a manager.
I talked to a guy named eslam (manager according to him) and he said there was nothing he could do.
I said that your guys had me wait for 2 and a half hours, made me wait for the order, reassured its delivery would arrive, lied about talking to the restaurant (closed at 1:30) lied about talking to management (closed) and had me wait up even after I told them I had to rest because I had work early in the morning.
All I got in return was "apologies" I will file a complaint.
I do not think this compensates for having me wait hungry and tired for two and a half hours, getting lied to multiple times and having to spend money on calls being on hold for more than 5 minutes.
I have pictures of the conversations I had with the agents Mohamed Rady and Ahmed Showekh attached.
I would like them to know that until they find a solution to this, I find no reason for me not to escalate this matter to someone, media, the proper department or even ministry until something has been done.

I will never use this application again and will inform any one I know using it to stop it immediately.. Very unprofessional handling and complete in responsibility. It took me 1.5 hour for me to discover that the restaurant can't reach me and order will not be delivered no one from your side followed up customer service called Mena Saeed refused to give any contact number neither the restaurant nor talabat customer service and ended the conversation without solving the issue ended up that 4 hours and I didn't yet receive the order. The worst customer service i had ever dealt with, i made order #[protected] and after 40 mins i received a message of cancellation from your side, however the estimated time to receive the order is 35 mins, i contact your customer service rep (Mohamed) but he is lying that you tried to contact me 2 times which didn't happen he forwarded the call to his leader (Ahmed Mohamed Elsayed) he didn't make any difference and refused to forward the call to complain officer with very unhelpful manner he just told me this is the situation and this is whatever happened.. Thank you for your minor customer service attitude and your careless service i think there is better apps that may respect the customer rather than yours!
Poor delivery
I placed a delivery order to Chowking Al Wadha branch, Abu Dhabi today at 6:38pm. I've waited for over an hour, exceeding the expected delivery time and yet food has not been delivered. I then called a customer service representative who promised to remind and call chowking about my transaction, and after another half an hour, i was kept waiting. I called one customer service again for the second time and said the same thing. Until now, no delivery is coming, not even an update of what's going on. This thing happened to me a lot of time with talabat. Most of deliveries were delayed, and i'm even not sure if it's coming or not. Seems like no actions would be done without frequent follow ups. For what are their purpose then?

Our delivery guy called us, having arrived at the wrong location which we did not even enter online. We informed Mohammed from the talabat call center who promised us it to follow up but also insisted that the food will come, we just have to wait until the estimated delivery time was up. He said he will change the entered address, but we have a screenshot as well as the confirmation email with the right address entered. Not really caring about the statement that the delivery went to the wrong location. We called again after half an hour since we have neither received our food nor any update from the help desk. Mohammed answered again and said he couldn't reach anyone from the restaurant, we just have to wait. When we called after the estimated waiting time finished, we called again and when Mohammed noticed it is us, he just hung up the phone. Calling a 4th! time, we reached Romani, who was a little more helpful and tried contacting them. He called us back and told us that someone (definitely not us) just cancelled the order. We waited 3 hours on our delivery and not even got an apology from talabat. This terrible customer service will make us definitely NEVER order there again or recommend their services!
Terrible service
I ordered through the app (which I have now deleted as I will never use you again) to then get a call 45 minutes after my order saying they couldn't reach the restaurant and would refund me in 5-7 days. I think this is unacceptable, I paid for food and I expect food. I gave them two solutions neither of which they would do. Allow me to tell them what I would like from elsewhere to the value of what I'd paid or send me my cash. Neither they would do. This is predominately theft.i asked him what the finance process is so that I could try alternative solutions but he had no idea.
I have since called the restaurant directly and had no issues reaching them at all, placed my order and will pay cash. Our lunch today will have cost us double because of the incompetence of Talabat. The manager's English wasn't good and although he apologized it didn't solve the problem and he had no solutions for me today that were acceptable. This is not the first time I have had to deal with this and as I said will never use talabat again.

I have placed an order for Papa Murthy Pozza thru talabat.com and had the Worst service i ever had!
Talabat cancelled our order first time saying some sorr of item is not available! ( what item? We ordered pizza!) Egyptian guy feom customee "care" couldn't explain and asked us to place the order again.that took them more than 30 mins to give a call and tell me that ordee is cancelled! FYI delivery time promised is 4mins ( as per the website!)
Which we did.
And waited another hour.
After an hour i startes tracking the order ans saw that it was cancelled again!
NEVER use them, people who work there are useless!
Noone even wanted to take responsibility for it and kept on talking using "phone scripts"

Food delivery app/website
talabat has the worst customer service agents, they dont respond well to complaints. I had 3 incidents in 1 week that happened with different restaurants which my colleagues and I had ordered through talabat, there is no such thing as following up with an order, talabat doesnt communicate with the restaurant. the first incident was that after i complained that its been more than 1 hour and a half since I ordered then only talabat checked with the restaurant and found out that the restaurant did not even recieve the order, which led to them bringing it after 3 hours. the second incident was with pizza hut where again it took around 3 hours and several phone calls to talabat which also we found out that the restaurant had received the order from talabat after 3 hours. the last incident was today with a mandi restaurant where the payment was done online with a credit card and after over an hour i contacted talabat again to ask about my order and they said that restaurant cant deliver it anytime soon, I then called the restaurant myself to make sure and they told me clearly that when they received the order from talabat they contacted them directly and told them that they wont be able to deliver but unfortunately because of talabat's poor customer service they did not inform me until i had to call them and ask. I made sure that I will put a very bad review everywhere about talabat and will make sure to spread this story.

It has been almost 3 hours and still no food in sight. Talking to their chat bot is like talking to a brick. They have no edit option on the order. They could learn some ecommerce lessons from EatEasily which has consistently fast reliable service seriously. Shame on me for trying out another service. I should've checked out reviews before I tried out Talabat. I am so freakin hangry now. They should know more than to piss off hungry people!
Don't do order from them!
I've ordered a pizza via Talabat website and their operator said that it'll be here within 40-60 minutes. I was ok with that. One hour later I decided to contact these guys and ask where my pizza was and why wasn't it delivered. They said that I need to be patient and said that my pizza was on its way. Gave them 30 extra minutes and after that I contacted them again and asked them to cancel my order. They said that order couldn't be cancelled.
My pizza finally arrived 30 min later (total waiting time - 2 hrs.).
I was not happy even when I got my order because my pizza was already cold. I went online and spoke to someone from the live chat. The person was ridiculous, all he was able to say was "Sorry Sir". I don't need your lousy apologies! This Talabat is the worst place to order from! Don't do order from them!
I ordered taza in talabat, I’m not happy for the delivery services, his not polite and his shouting me. He door bell 6times like crazy.. I’m so disappointed how he treat me..
you should have refused to pay its your right to refuse since you agreed on a spefic delivery time and they were late then its up to you to take the delivery or refuse...if i was you i would refuse to pay
Worst service ever!
I always order online and this time I decided to try Talabat. That was my first experience ordering from them, but I was quite disappointed with it. I called the number given on their website and ordered a pizza. They promised delivery time would be only 45 minutes, but actually I’ve been waiting like forever! It actually took them 1 hr 45 min. While I was waiting I called customer service nonstop and heard only excuses. My pizza was cold and it was not delicious! I won't recommend Talabat to anyone and sure won't order from them again. They show no respect to their customers!
Talabat is the worst food delivery website ever!
I ordered few weeks ago and the restaurant cancelled itself for no reason so instead of refunding back my money right away its been three weeks that I've been calling them and the haven't refunded it so I had to call my bank and get them involved. Plus they have the worst customer service ever, I called them more than ten times and they were so useless, the guy actually told me on the phone that he could not help me. Let's not forget their poor delivery either! they take forever and take your money.
No refund
I ordered food from the website www.talabat.com. The owner told me to wait about 40 minutes, but I waited 3 hours. I called the owner every 30 minutes, but he again and again told me to be patient. I finally decided to cancel the order, but the owner told me that they didn’t refund. The company is scam and I don’t advise you to order from them.
