Talabat Middle East From a Promoter to a Detractor

I used to be a loyal Talabat customer, recommending it to everyone I know. But after my recent experience, I can no longer support this brand.

I encountered a major issue with Talabat's 50% off offer (up to 30 AED). I selected items from a participating restaurant, and the discount was applied before I proceeded to pay. However, once I completed the payment, I was charged a different, higher amount. Despite the app showing the correct price before payment, the total changed without any explanation.

When I tried to contact Talabat, the app had no direct support options, no live chat, and an auto-reply to my email that provided no help. After reaching out on Facebook Messenger, I explained the issue, only to be met with denials and requests for impossible "checkout pictures" proof. Despite offering app logs and explanations, I was ignored.

Then, to make matters worse, the order I received was completely wrong. The receipt taped to the package didn’t match the items I ordered. I provided photos and more details, but again, no real response. Hours later, I received a call acknowledging their mistake and promising to send a request for additional pictures to process a refund. They never followed through.

Finally, after all the time I wasted trying to resolve this, they sent me 19 AED as compensation for a bill of over 61 AED. It’s about the principle. Offering such a small refund for a completely wrong order is humiliating to a customer. The least they could have done was fully refund the meal. Instead, they turned a loyal advocate into someone determined to share this awful experience with everyone I know.

This is really the worst ever service…

This is really the worst ever service provider, if you want to order food, choose other companies, they took my order for suhoor, I waited one hour and nothing was delivered, I started to speak to customer care and they kept lying saying my order is on the way, ten mins, then when half an hour passed, mentioned that their driver is taking his suhoor, then said my order is not picked up, then finally cancelled my order completely after two hours and I ended up with my family fasting without suhoor ...they even dismissed my complaint with no action and didn't bother even to give me a courtesy call, they are the worst and when I contacted the restaurant, they showed me they kept calling Talabat center for like fifteen times to send someone to pick up my meal and then they ended up receiving messages that the customer can't be resched and that they need to cancel though I have been on the line with the same lying agent for two hours trying to get my order..I have snap shots of both my communication with them and the restaurant multiple attempts to reach them during the same two hours ...lousy lousy lousy people and company ...please don't encourage them by doing business with them, there are better options who really care about their customers

Talabat Middle East Special offer ordering issue

I ordered donuts on a special offer (12 Pcs + 3 free), the order was as follows:
2 specials 2X1.5 JOD
10 Donuts 10X1.15 JOD
The bill subtotal for the 12 pcs was:
Subtotal 14.5 JOD and I got 3 pcs free.
Delivery 0.5
Service fee 0.43
Tax 2.32
Total 17.75
I went to the same shop and found the offer in the shop was (12 pcs+4free), I ordered the same items.
The bill subtotal was:
Subtotal 12.5
Tax 2.0
Total 14.5

Which means that, talabat is buying the 12+4 offer from the shop at 14.5 (tax included) and sell it (12+3) gaining the price of 1 pc on each order.
The question is: why Talabat is charging me the tax (2.32) while the tax is already included in the subtotal (12.5 + 2.0). talabat is supposed to be a delivery service company so why it is charging sales tax on bills? I'm going to check with the authorities if this is legal as well.

Talabat Middle East Road Safty

I live in Qatar. I have a complaint against your bike riders ( Delivery Boys). The majority of riders do not follow the rules of the road and safety. Please see the details below

1. All motorists drive on the right-hand side of the road. The majority of them ride on the fast track, and they do not change their lines when we blow the horn or flash the lights. Today, I had an experience, if needed, I can provide details about the rider with no plate and the location and time.

2. The majority of them do not have safety gear.

The above 2 points are big safety issues.

If Talabat can’t solve these issues I will directly post in social media & go to police station and raise a complaint against this issue.

Desired outcome: Road Safety is priority, give strict instruction to all the riders and monitor them

Talabat Middle East Driver's rude attitude

I made an order at Popeyes Amman- Jordan, then I was contacted with a talabat driver, who asked if the location is accurate and I answered it is. Then after few minutes he calls me and he is very angry, and when I told him this is not an acceptable nor professional behavior, he hanged the call.

Then he called again and was more rude, I told him I will complain and asked for his name, he told me that I was rude and refused to give me his name.

I suggest that as a company as respectful and well-known as yours should have a better quality control and training system as I hear more and more people complaining, and I will simply join them.

Talabat Middle East Refund and complaint resolve system

On July 11th, I received an order from a restaurant I usually order from only to find a cockroach hiding in the outer side of one of the delivered food boxes.

I have raised a concern only to receive a credit for a fraction of the value of the order and to know that the restaurant concerned was not informed about the incident.

This is the last of several incidents encountered with Talabat from rudeness of the drivers, delays, messed packaging, bad food quality and finally a cockroach in the order.

I have in response deleted my account and will not be using this application/ service anymore.

Desired outcome: Legal action, especially that there is a series of such events.

Talabat Middle East The customer service contact

So, at 8:00 pm 1 weeks ago from my current date 13/7/2023, while I was trying to order myself a meal from the Talabat app after choosing my desired food and pressed checkout and selected my payment method and paid online I have received a message from the payment method which is apple pay saying that the payment has been refunded and my order was cancelled so I was confused so I tried again to order for it to display the same message so I tried again for one more time to see a message saying my account has been blocked for violating the terms of use well I was trying to just order so I got to get help through the app and when I was trying to find more information about my case I found non so I searched the customer service email for them to say that this is an automated message and that I have to contact them through the live chat so I was trying to find a live chat in both the app and the website and not finding one even though they mentioned they have one, so I saw that it requires log in so I logged in with no use and I didn't find a live chat as they claim and even I have searched their office number and I called and a automated recorded voice have answered with it saying that customer support is only available at live chat or through the app while I didn't find any way of contacting them or to get help about my account.

Desired outcome: So my desired outcome is to talabat to contact me and fix my account that prevented me from ordering for the past week.

Talabat Middle East Talabat UAE

I made an order at 2pm. The estimated time of arrival kept changing and I kept following up until 3.19 pm I received a message that my order has been cancelled and I will be refunded as a talabat voucher. Talabat Middle East ORDER FROM TALABAT MART on 4th april 2023

Dear Talabat,

I am very disappointed, due to your application issues and customer services, I received my order twice on 4th April 2023 and the money deducted from my account twice . I keep following up with you since this issue happened. the driver didn't accept to take the items and i have contacted you and you send another driver and you took the extra items and promised that my refund will be received with in 24 hour which didn't happened till today since 4th April 2023.

I keep following with you since that day and you were ignoring my emails and just today you replied back apologizing that you will not refund the money as i accepted the items. I have tried with several correspondence's explaining what happened exactly but you keep sending the same emails.

The items returned to you on same date less than one hour why you are not accepting to refund my money. Please i need this issue to solve immediately i am fed up regarding this issue.

Talabat Middle East Refund / cancellation

24 Mwry h I had an order from Al Mets after 4 hours waiting and having calls from talabat staff that the order will be delivered I jus woke up that the order was canceled ! And that’s it waiting 4 hours for nothing …. And more then that I asked refund to my bank account , 7 days and I didn’t received the refund I contact them today and just now the proceed my refund , is that fair me to contact talabat for my refund …. Is unacceptable honest ! And a lot of cancellation after long time waiting is not my first issue and they are calling and cutting the call instant , no tie to reply ! So dissatisfied

Talabat Middle East Grooming of staff and hygiene

I am writing this to convey my dissatisfaction with Talabat team , I mean the staff in charge of delivery. They are not presentable and careless when it comes to hygiene. On February 28 th ,2023 at around 9 pm in Lulu Atrium I saw one of Talabat staff wearing the most dirtiest u inform , he had a very dirty socks , eating his food while standing at the cashier area. It looked awful.

An other evidence in Juffair area, where one of their staff urinating just in front of us , he looked African. Without washing his hands he continued his delivery not realizing what health risks he could cause by this act.

Talabat Middle East Charged wrong amount

While ordering the application showed me my bill was AED 17/- then when I clicked check out, it charged me AED 47/-

I have been writing TALABAT, for the last 24 hours, until now they have not been able to resolve my complaint, and refund me my AED 30/-

Their agent on the chat some guy named Usman told me that TALABAT will refund me back my wrongly charged AED 30/-

Since then they have been giving me stupid excuses like it was some voucher code error, some GEM discount and what not.

Please resolve my issue, I want my AED 30/- back.

Talabat Middle East Grocery order and they charged extra money without delivering

I placed an order from Talabat of groceries worth AED 86 and the rider took full amount in cash on 15th Jan with a bill amount of AED 86. When I opened the parcel l, several items were missing and since then I have been chasing Talabt team to refund my money. Rather they issues voucher just for some hours and now even that is not visible in my app. When I try to raise a complaint, they are asking me for screenshots and screen recordings without checking their records. They are looting people in daylight. Kindly who shall I contact to get my money back? I tried reaching CEO of company too but even he isn't responding.

Talabat Middle East App error

We placed three orders on 1/1/2023 for dinner, the app showed an error when orders were placed and orders were not conformed. The customer service asked for an email with a captain of the error which we provided but talabat still refused to accept their app had a malfunction. The drivers refused to take back the order when they arrived as they said they had already paid for the order as a woman on my own I felt intimidated so I paid via benefit pay to get them off my property. I had no option but to take the order. Talabat customer service agents refused to hear us out and refused to give us any refund at all and continue to blame us for their app not working. Talabat should take this seriously and look after their loyal customers when there is an issue such as this.

Talabat Middle East Cash refunding

I have ordered food items yesterday evening. The order got placed and cash deducted from my credit card account. Talabat application itself shown some delivery time. After 30 to 40 min I didn't received my order. So I have rechecked the order information and couldn't find the order status. So I tried to contact customer support but couldn't find any. Almost I lost 34 Dhs (UAE). Attached my account deductions and Oder placements picture for proof.

Expecting the cash reimbursement soon.

Talabat Middle East Unlock my account please

Dear Sir/Madam

I hope you are doing well.

Today I found out that my account has been blocked. I have not done anything wrong. I had to complain about talabat mart because today I just found that they gave me old tomatoes as I open it to prepare the salad. I have been a loyal customer for many years. Customers always has the right to complain if something is wrong.

I had an accident and I can’t cook. Please I need my account back today so I can order meals so I can take my medicine. Please forgive me this time because of my critical health situation. I will not complain about the quality of the food again even I paid for you. Do you think that is fair? Would you please open my account again. I would really appreciate your corporation.

Talabat Middle East Talabat driver

I was driving my car on a two-way road and there was a hump that force me to slow down a bit, but suddenly i was surprised by Talabat driver jumping on the hump at crazy speed to over take my side because of that i have used my brakes very harsh, he put my life at risk by his attitude ! And you as a company should take action on that, to avoid putting someone else in such situations!

Talabat Middle East Assault

On 28th May around 11.00 pm near qatar consumption complex (QCC) A Guy in talabat delivery dress and talabat box behind his bike followed me , at one point near Majesty Cetering building he waited until I arrive to that point and he spit on my face and drove away immediately... I couldn't even note his bike number. It happened with in seconds... I need justice...

Talabat Middle East Overcharged credit card

Dear Sir/ Madam

It is stated that I have two orders from your talabat application on 02-05-2022 order id [protected] amount 2.690 and 03-05-2022 order id [protected] amount 6.595 but my credit card was over charged it was charged 26.90 & 65.95 so kindly resolve this matter as soon as possible
