Hi, I’m not one to complain ever about customer service because I have much experience in it and I know how stressful it can get when you’re busy but I had a couple run ins with an employee at Tim’s here in Deer Lake NL that I feel we’re on called for. The first one was earlier this summer but I let it slide as I said I do understand the frustration in customer service. This morning around 10:30am I went through the drive through to purchase a French vanilla for my husband (I believe you know Barry) and Sherry was the one taking orders. As I stopped and ordered I was also counting change to leave a tip as Barry and I always do, I guess I didn’t say thank you after my order fast enough and she yelled YOU’RE WELCOME at me through the intercom loud enough to startle me as I had my head down counting money. Again I would have let it slide but when I got to the windows you pay for my order she was bad mouthing me to the guy who was handing me my order saying not expect anything more from customers and most people have no morals or manners and I also heard something about her referring to me as that customer. I did however fire back at her and I did tell her it was me “that customer” she was referring to and I told her how I was counting money to hand her a tip at the window and I certainly didn’t appreciate being screamed at through the intercom. I did get so much as an I’m sorry, I did however receive an eye roll and something mumbled under her breath to which I said thank you loudly to her when I was handed my order. Fact is the ignorance of not realizing she was the one with no manners is canning. I have 20 years experience as a certified cook/baker/caterer and now working in management at Western Health. I css as n honestly say I have NEVER treated my customers or employees as an inconvenience. People need to realize it’s their customers who support them and because of them they are able to get a pay check. Some would say “what do you expect it’s fast food!” That doesn’t fly with me. To me customer service is customer service. It shouldn’t matter the wage as you shouldn’t have to get paid $10 more an hour to appreciate your customers. This establishment show the worst customer service than any other Tim Hortons I have visited. I won’t be going back there.
Desired outcome: I’d appreciate a response and a written apology from this employee. I am not the first one she has been rude to but I do believe I am one of the only ones who stood up to her.
