5g service
After purchasing a 5G phone, it appears that 5G service is not supported by Tracfone in my area even though they advertise Verizon Nationwide 5G coverage. Tracfone's coverage map only shows LTE service however Verison's coverage map indicates 5G service is available in my area. There seems to be a discrepancy between Tracfone's and Verizon's 5G coverage.
My money being returned.
I ordered my cell phone the 23 of august I have been on the phone for 2 days with these people and I have not gotten a straight answer where my cell phone was in the mail system they have given 3 different mail services, finally today after spending 43 minutes on the phone and constant delays on the other end of the phone the young man came on the phone and told me that the cell was being shipped back to tracfone the man said I either had not enough money in my account which I do have enough money in my account or that the phone was out of stock. I spent 42.60 for this cell phone now they are saying until they get the cell phone back that there keeping my money I have documentation. Have no way to get my money back if they indeed lost the phone I need your help, please I just checked, and they have no reimbursed my 42.60 I want my money back.
I just bought a trac fone i git it yesterday and everything is installed my fone number minutes stuff like that. I have an extra fone i bought from you guys and it was just delivered today to my mail box I would love to send it back unopened for a refund
just looked on trac fones website and they are still advertising the fone i bough the TCL A3 wich they told me it was either sold out or i had not enough money in my account i have over 200.00nin my account so I know i had enough money

Ive tried to set up a new phone and the techs keep lying when they say they have sent my verifcation code to my email. Its been a week and a half without a phone. and at this point i dont think ill get my number. the second verifaction process(me providing the last two phone numbers i called out to from my last phone) worked on 1 out of 15 different operators. Then he said i needed to get into better service area and gave me the incorrect call back number. this staring 8-12-22 up to now

i have been with tracfone for many years. 2 years ago they sent me a message that i needed to buy a new phone. my old phone i could buy the minute cards at stores. well august 11th i had to go on line on their site to add minutes and text. they had an offer for 3000 minutes and 2000 text for the price of 159.99 plus tax. they withdrew from my account but i didnt recieve anything on their site when i checked my usage. on the 15th i had to call them to fix this problem. they wanted all kinds of info to verify phone and who i was. after calling the 4th time someone added only 1000 min. to my phone. i am not a happy camper. i used to be able to buy min. on their site with my new phone and everything went well. i think i will be done with this company when my minutes are done. sad that they cant get it together to make things easy like it used to.

I can't use my phone , everytime i try to dial out, it gives me a recording that they will direct me to customer service. can not receive calls either!

Why do I have to pick a label that is provided, instead of making my own decision?
I have been using Tracfone Wireless as my cellular procider for the past few years, and even have bought two phone from their website, but cannot seem to get any kind of useful customer support from them no matter what I try...
When I try to call the so called 'Support Number' they provide, it is ALWAYS a long wait on hold to get an agent who speaks some very thick foreign accent that I cannot easily understand. So, I try to use their advertised 'Chat Support' option on thier website, but it has recently been changed somehow, and although there are still the numerous fields to fill out information on the window that pops up, there is no longer a button / link provided to begin the chat session. This company has relentlessly provided a very lackluster service, and consistently has technical problems that they appear unable to correct.
Now, they have added the fact that they make themselves next to impossible to get any kind of customer support on top of their terrible track record.
I simply need to ask a couple of basic questions about my phone's features, and since I purchased it from them, they should be able to provide this, but they seem to refuse to provide anything that even slightly resembles customer service, and it is frustrating to the point where I am about to just throw this phone away, go buy a new one, and go to somebody else!

I know it has been a while since I posted this complaint, but I got a response of sorts, from someone named Alex, who claims to be associated with Tracfone Wireless, sent to my Email, except I can find now way to reply to this person as the Email notification says noreply in the sender information...
In any case, what was stated in the response message was to go to the same page I was posting about to chat with Support, but this is not possible, as I showed in my original complaint posting because there is no way provided to begin the chat session. I will post another screenshot showing this here, if it will reiterate my initial concer for this person.
As can be seen in the image, there is no Begin Chat option on this pop up window anywhere, so you can enter your personal information, but that is all you can do as there is no way to start a chat!
All of us with TracFone problems might as well give up, they reuse to help if you have problem. I guess i am going to throw my brand new TracFone which won't act along with three months of service in the trash. Life is too short to have to deal with TracFone and they know, that we will all eventually move on.
Nokia 2760 flip phone
I bought the phone at Target on August 9th 2022. Tried to activate.
1st contact with "activate service([protected]. talked to a lady. After trying for about an hour, she said she would have to transfer me to a higher tech. I got dumped in the transfer.
10th, I tried again. different girl same results. no callback from Higher tech.
11th, I tried again. different Girl. She tried the same procedures as previous girls having no results. She transferred me to higher tech, waiting 10 minutes. Dumped.
12th, Chatted with Sherwin on computer, He did the same procedures to no avail. Transferred me to higher tech. This time I made it through. Did many of the same procedures. Tech said he would input my account setup etc. I was to shut off my phone (2:00pm) turn phone back on at 5:00 pm and try to call a local #. That resulted in my getting migration services the same as every other time. The Tech said he would call me back on my land line to confirm my results. I did not receive a call. What now?
1.Should I return this phone and select a better one suited to my local?
2 What phone would you suggest for me. (want VOLTE)
3. Now I have a big nothing for $20.00
4. I am interested in a good phone that's reliable, and I don't play games. I have a lot of phone minutes and data invested with you. 1st trouble in many years.

Tracfone iphone se.
I have called at least six times over the last week trying to set up "my account" for my new iphone se. Phone is activated (actually a tracfone upgrade from my old samsung galaxy phone I have had for several years). Your representatives make all kind of promises that it will be fixed automatically in thirty minutes...or in one case 72 hours. I have many unused minutes, service days and data from my old phones. Your representatives are not helping me ! They all have difficulty understanding english.

porting number to new carrier
Today is 8/11/2022. I have been trying for 2 weeks to port my number to a new carrier. Every time it gets rejected. When I called tracfone tonight after the latest rejection, I got disconnected or I got told they can't help me because I was already given a pin today and I can't have another today. When I asked to speak to someone who could fix the problem, I was disconnected again. Finally I was transferred to the Help Desk and was able to speak to someone who was able to see all the attempts that had been rejected and why, but she was unable to give me a new pin today either because the system only allows 1 pin in a 24 hr period! I spent 2 hours tonight and still no resolution to the problem. Hopefully in 22 hours, when I am able to get another transfer pin, the port will go through. I was assured that it will, but I am not so sure.
Desired outcome: I would like my number to port to the new carrier.

activation problems
I received my new tracfone today and have been trying all day to get it activated and transfer my minutes and phone number from my old phone. I've tried calling and can't get a person. I've tried chat line and can't get anyone there. I've tried online and they are having problems so can't do it that way. I have used tracfones for several years and am now re-thinking staying with it. I'm going to have to shop for something else. I'm a polio survivor with walking issues so need a dependable phone.

migration stolen minutes
the migration of my service turned into the worst problem.. beginning july 28th thru aaug 9, 2022. i have two tracfones the first migration went smooth not a special phone. the new blu view 3 however ended up with aroud 3000 minutes disappeared. my service is good until 11/2023. after many many hours on te phone with support, changing sim and factory reset, *73, several times, i am now without the phone and was told the only way to remedy is to add more airtime. TRacfone support is nothing more than people reading off of a script with barely understandable english (i was on their support so many times i knew the script by heart) i had finely siad at one point maybe it is just a bad phone, they said well let me get you to corporate and they will help you. guesswhat it goes right back to the loop and you do not get anywhere! i have been a custoer for over 8 years having to replace a phone a few times, with no problems the used to even load your contacts and some files to the new phone. i filed a complaint with my states attorney generals office, waiting for a reply.

the link they posted does not get you anywhere new another generic response. if they really valued us as customers they would reach out themselves, they obviously have the info to contact us via email. the other thing i find funny is that they can text us a validation code on the phone we can not call out or receive calls on?
Theft of service
I bought 3 of these phones. Phones are fine, but Tracfone robbed me of 13GB of data I paid for, 6000 phone minutes I paid for, and 2000 texts I paid for.
When a Tracfone tech named Maria tried to solve an issue with Voicemail, she erased over $294 worth of data, minutes, and texts.
Tracfone knows exactly what happened, but they refuse to reinstate the data, minutes, and texts I paid for, or to issue a refund.
If we're supposed to believe they can't "track" daily totals of data, minutes, and texts, then that speaks volumes for the quality of their systems and of their techs.
Fine phone, but it is offered by a company that has incalculable contempt for its customers.
They take your money, then erase everything you paid for, then expect you to pay again for what they stole.
Desired outcome: Reinstate 13 GB of data, 6000 phone minutes, and 2000 texts or issue $294 refund.
The bottom line is this:
With complete contempt for their customers, both Tracfone "supervisor" Juzy, Tracfone ID #513232, and Tracfone "supervisor" Aiko, Tracfone ID #513547 stated I "could buy more data, phone minutes, and texts."
In other words, I could pay Tracfone for over 12.8 GB of data, over 6000 phone minutes, and over 2000 texts, Tracfone could then steal over 12.8 GB of data, over 6000 phone minutes, and over 2000 texts by erasing over 12.8 GB of data, over 6000 phone minutes, and over 2000 texts, and I could then pay again for over 12.8 GB of data, over 6000 phone minutes, and over 2000 texts which Tracfone stole.
The cost to replace 13 GB of data is $130.00 ($10 per GB).
The cost to replace over 6000 phone minutes is $146.40 ($12.20 per 500 minutes).
The cost to replace over 2000 texts is $13.24 ($6.62 per 1000 texts).
I want over 12.8 GB of data, over 6000 phone minutes, and over 2000 texts restored to my phone, or a refund in the amount of $289.64.

We all know that going on chat or calling "customer service" will only result in the same fruitless runaround that precipitated this situation in the first place.
Perhaps you can provide (via email if you prefer) a direct phone number to someone at Tracfone who will actually investigate what Tracfone agent Maria did during her "resetting" of Voicemail that resulted in the erasure of 12.7 GB of data, over 6000 phone minutes, and 2000 texts, and who will then restore my phone to its pre-Maria state.

Forty-five minutes ago, I added a 60 minute TracFone card to my TracFone. Five minutes later, I attempted to get on the Internet. My phone would not connect. I texted 611611 for my balance, and it read that I had no data, even though I had added the card ten minutes before and didn't use any data. This has happened several times, and I don't believe that it is an accident. I will be shopping for another phone and carrier. I am very tired of TracFone stealing data that I paid for.

TRAC Phone employee service sucks
I have had track phones for some time. When I receive the new phone there was never a problem with transfering info from old phone to new phone. No one is helping me. Giving me incorrect information. There should be a physical place i can take my phone to get this fixed. my cell is [protected] home [protected]. I need all my old info to be transfered. tracphone agent stated to purchase a sim card-put it into my old cell and then put it the new phone. did not work-called again and the next agent stated that is wrong information. Cell phone service
This is the second time i'm complaining as alex did get in touch with me and gave me a new link but it just took me back to the same run around endless loops going nowhere. Not sure with what's happeneing with tracfone but I have been a good customer for years but have already let one phone go because for no service, not sure what will happen with the other.
Desired outcome: I'd love to reinstate my account and also my second phone.
How can you talk to a real person? I've been trying to refill for months now and only get a runaround with their website that won't allow me to sign in saying both my phone numbers are invalid, chat is with some app I don't use so don't know if its the same runaround, calling is just a bot, won't allow me to speak to a real person, and they won't allow you to select the plan advertised on the website. How can you talk to someone who will solve the problems?
Ok, not sure if its fraud or a scam, false advertising or what but the website won't allow me to sign in saying that my 2 phone numbers are 'invalid'. I can see the plan I want advertised on the website ($125) but it won't allow me to choose it. Then when I go to 611611 it sends me back to the same run around but at least there from the phone it recognizes it but then goes nowhere. When I call, its impossible to talk to anyone or chat even except with a bot (only possible if you use some kind of app, I don't so not even sure there) and it won't give the selection of the plan I want to buy so there's seemingly no way to get the $125 plan advertised on your website. The link you gave goes to the same faulty run around to nothing, no chat, and no calling with any representatives except a bot. HELP is also just a run around to nothing. What a lot of frustrating loss of time. Thanks for nothing.

Samsung A51 data will not connect to internet when away from home
Talked to Tracfone tech services on 7-30-22 for appx. 2hrs they had me try different fixes to try to get the phone to work with data to connect to internet, but none of the fixes worked, talked to Tracfone tech support again on 7-31-22, for 1 hour again tried different techniques to fix the A51 phone but none worked, both times Tracfone said they would call me back in 30 mins. they never called back. The phone stopped working after Tracfone did systems update. The phone is still in warranty but when I asked Tracfone about the warranty, they refused to talk about replacing the phone. Very poor customer service, even worst tech services and they do not back the warranty they give their products, that's what happened in my situation. Hope someone at Tracfone reads this review and tries to do the right thing and replace my A51 Tracfone that is still under warranty.

I have been with Tracfone for a very long time. Currently I have been trying to get onto the website for over 2 weeks. I cannot log into my account. My husband has tracfone and cannot log into his account either. Their website is broken! Others that I know are having the same issue. We will have to go to another provider because Tracfone has zero customer support.

Billing
I signed up for tracfone after buying a tracfone device. I used a card the first month and decided to do auto billing after the advertised a $5 a month savings for doing autorefill. I was ok the first month,. Upon renewing my service they upped my bill by $5 (as though I didn't have auto renewal. The saving are similar to Straight Talk for auto renewal. I contacted tracfone customer support and was greeted with call hold and language issues and inability for them to understand my communication about the issue. I was transferred twice and was hung up on after being on the phone for about and hour. I am now looking to change my service to another carrier but I am reading the phone is locked for the first year. I do not recommend using tracfone...straight talk was 100% better service.
Desired outcome: Either unlock my current phone to the tracfone network or remove the additional $5 change for my 3 gb service as advertised when I signed up for auto billing.
