Unlimited vacation club
We purchase the package in Punta Cana and we’re told it was for 15 years. That was A LIE! ONLY THEIR RESORTS WERE 15 years not the hotels in the USA. When I tried to book the agent said, it was 2 years. How are you going to book 40 weeks in two years. I specifically told the salesperson I wanted the plan more for the nationwide hotels like Marriott, ect. Because my granddaughter was going to be 15 in 5 years and we wanted to plan a trip to a Hawaii IN 5 YEARS, so why would I buy something like that for two when her birthday is 5 years away. She said because the salesman lied she could get the plan canceled and my money refunded, however after hundreds of phone calls they never refunded my money, however they tried to bill us the second billing and I had lost the credit card, so the payment defaulted. When I called to ask why did you try to charge me again, when I requested cancellation, they said it was an error and saw that my membership was up for cancellation. They never returned my calls or money, so I disputed with my credit card for the initial partial payment and they disputed it. So long story short, I canceled and they can see I canceled and they still have not returned the money.
Desired outcome: I want my money back. Fraudulent company!!!

UVC scammed us on our honey moon
We were set up for half off excursions if we toured a resort in Punta Cana. The tour guide and broker promised that this vacation club was absolutely not a time share. Showed us all the places we can travel at a discount. Showed us a very thick book that supposedly I was going to receive in the mail but never did. This was in October 2021. Promised us 7 free weeks, cruise credits, 20 rooms for family, the list goes on. Charged my card for deposit 1,199.00 and sent us on our way after knowing it was all a scam. After $5000.00 later and constantly calling us to pay a annual fee. Early pays out, deposits on RCI points, deposits to open up locked items on the websites, have to pay to even get a price match when calling to complain how much cheaper it was and affordable on Expedia then this so called vacation club. Then every time we would want to book a trip it wouldn’t be available or not in the right months. Every time you called a representative they would also scam you for more money. This is such a shame and makes me sick! Here we are in the following year and we lost was money and time. Taking from our families. I WILL figure a way to file a lawsuit! These are false and they distract you the whole time you are signing. So you can read in intervals and miss out on the importance. Just [censored]!
Desired outcome: I just want the contract canceled.

Policy never fulfilled
I paid for a contract that was never used. I never used any of the resort stays, the benefits I was promised or anything because of my illness. I never reserved a room, I had no contact of no such after they took my $2,560 from my card. I am simply asking this mega company to issue me, a decorated combat veteran, my deposit. They have seen in there own system that there was absolutely NO activity on end. They claimed they were giving me all of these bonuses valued at XX amount well I never used any of those perks.
Desired outcome: I am requesting a full refund of my initial deposit. I think that is at minimum fair. I never even spoke to a customer service rep when I left Jamiaica.
they told me I had to renew to use my Lifestyle AMR account and it is not true.
I called on sept 9th 2021 to use a free certificate for a week, which I didn't realize was with the AMR branch of Unlimited - the Lifestyle collection side of Unlimited said my term expired and I had to sign up for 2 years in order to use it. Just found out today that this is not true. There is no need for me to participate in the Lifestyle part but they say not that they have a recording I agreed to pay them, I must still pay 158 a month for next two years. Even though they verbally mislead me during my call. They got me to sign up even though I have no use for this part of the organiation - I never get to use any part of their services anymore because there are always better deals elsewhere. I am so angry - I want nothing to do with them.
They also said I would only owe $29 for an annual fee when in Feb, I got a call demanding a $150 annual fee or I couldn't get access to the website. I told them is was only $29, but they wouldn't let me use the web without paying, so I did.
Desired outcome: All payments to Lifestyle are to cease immediately. Thank you.

Unsatisfied misleading vacation club member
Unlimited Vacation Club - Misleading Club member contract - reposting as my complaint was mark resolved when I’ve never even spoke to anybody far from resolved and I have an ongoing issue, I have emailed as per your comment in my last post with no response!
Me and my husband travel to Jamaica on April 28 at the breathless resort in Montego Bay.
While visiting we were approached to visit a presentation to become a club member of vacation club in return we would receive two massages for $70.00. Just to mention this has been a third visit to this resort. We attended the presentation, they’re offering seemed attractive my husband was interested I on the other hand was hesitant as I always know these things are never what they say they are, they sold us on the a club membership which was A complete farce. It all sounds great at the time and we were told that we would receive our contract to view and as long as we didn’t use any of the perks we would be able to cancel so we didn’t think there was any risk. What attracted us to the package as we were told that we would be picked up privately at the airport and pass all immigrations and hassles every time we took a vacation, we found out that was not the case and there is an additional fee for this, We were sold on the fact that we would get discounted flights from Canada as we typically do all inclusive trips to find out that Funjet does not offer flights from Canada! Along with other things that were promised that we found out we’re not part of our package!
We did not receive our contract as promised and after arriving back home to Canada we had to make numerous phone calls to unlimited vacation club to find out why we haven’t yet received our contract by email! We were also told that when we got back home we would have a welcome call which never happened, after multiple calls we finally got a copy of our contract only to find out that we only had five days to cancel which was not disclosed to us! They informed us that we had five days to review our contract and to cancel but we never received our contract and never had the opportunity review it as promised! What we were told was completely different than what our contract was and they’re selling tactic is not to provide the contract so therefore you get stuck not being able to cancel the contract!
I’ve caught their play and how they operate and this is completely misleading as everything they told us was a lie and unlimited vacations club has been absolutely no help as they also do not stick to their promises when advising they’ll call clients back! I raised my concerns to be escalated to their Members´ Quality Assurance team who I’ve been dealing with a person who has been less them helpful or professional. I originally To be contacted by phone to have a conversation but he will only communicate through email! Communicating with him has made me even more frustrated and irritated and upset as he has not taken any responsibility and acknowledging and understanding our concerns!
Speaking with him has been a complete waste of time as he keeps falling back on the fact that we signed a contract. He will not acknowledge the fact that we could not review the contract because it was never sent to us, with constant back-and-forth from him with no resolution and no acknowledgement or empathy on our side!
He Isn’t gone by first-hand information but going by based on what the resort was telling him…. of course the resort is going to tell him that they provided us the contract so I told him to prove it. if they send it to us by email then they would have it in their sent inbox he has yet to be able to provide that to us! And continues to say that we had five days to cancel the contract.
How can we cancel the contract within five days when we never received the contract nor was advised properly. Dealing with Mr. “Quality Assurance” aka a joke has caused me so much stress and I’m completely appalled in his unprofessionalism in dealing with this matter he constantly falls back on the fact that we signed a contract and does not listen or acknowledge what I’ve been trying to advise him on the fact that we didn’t receive it and that we were misled! He has failed to acknowledge any of this and leas than understanding, he’s made no attempt to satisfy us the client and has informed me that he will not be refunding us! When me and my husband finally had the chance to look at the contract That they finally sent to us when we returned back home we immediately were like we didn’t see any of this information! I know how digital signatures work they had us digitally initial the front page of the contract which then they copied all of our initials to the rest of the contract. we were sold a contract With information in it that we never knew anything about! I don’t even know why anyone would want to be a member of this club, it’s clearly not the kind of club I want to be a member of as they do not treat their clients fairly nor do they inform their customers correctly or stand beside them when they have matters like this! Their main concern is getting your money and making you a victim of falsifying misleading information!
I definitely would not recommend family or friends to this club and after doing some current research I’ve come to find out there are many complaints on this company! I wish I would’ve known this prior………… If anyone has any additional information on the best way to get some satisfaction or who I should be reaching out to I would appreciate the information!

No login to the product we ordered and unable to cancel
On 05/04/22 me and my wife were on our honeymoon to Cancun. We we're invited for a small marketing talk about the hotel resorts (AMR) which we thought was fun at the time to see what the hotel group is all about. after 2 hours we we're still there hearing everything they had to offer. When they tried to sell us some contracts we kept refusing to do so, several people came to our table, all with a better offer, less payments, etc... until we just gave in to the last offer. We payed 1500 dollar on the spot and will be having monthly payments for about 160$. Everything was going so fast, we felt sick to our stomages while exiting the hotel.
After some days we received 1 login and a password, where couldn't really do anything with, see any offers or anything, everything was just the same as without the login. We still have not received a login for the lifestyle package, I tried calling but no answer.
After some more research we see that this offer will not help us at all for future vacations and we would like to cancel this contract.
Desired outcome: I just want the contract to end, I do not request a refund for the already payed amount of money. I want the monthly payments to stop ASAP.

Unlimited Vacations Club
This company is a complete scam. We signed up because the sales reps at the resort promises you free nights in fancy resorts, luxurious accommodations, extreme discounted rates, and seemingly endless RCI stays for $499 a week. When we were allowed access to the actual members website we could tell within minutes that this was not going to save us any money at all. The rates were barely less than any old search engine on the internet. It would still cost over $3000 for 2 of us for a week at several resorts, not the $121pp/night that was described to us at the presentation.
Within minutes I called to cancel our contract, explaining that this was not what was promised. As previously mentioned in other complaints, the representative kept trying to convince me how the membership could work for me. I was on the phone for a very long time to keep repeating to him "I don't want to discuss this, I want this contract cancelled." I was then transferred to another person who gave me the same run around and then said that it would be 50% of the contract charge (roughly $25,000) to cancel at that time. It had only been a few days and we had used NONE of the services that were supposedly provided. After a brief internet search, it looks like it is near impossible to use any of the "services" they offer, and certainly not worth paying for.
This company should be ashamed of themselves. They promise you a million things that you don't actually get if you sign that paper. After making you waste hours of your precious vacation time, and filling you up with booze, they get you to sign a contract that actually provides nothing that was promised. The prices are not good, the services are not good, you get nothing except money taken.
Since the telephone conversations went nowhere and the people aren't willing to help you or give any customer service at all, we sent an email which was responded to by saying they would call us. We don't want to talk. All they do is talk in circles and not help at all. We want written confirmation of our cancellation and that is all. We have requested several times for this to happen in several ways.
Desired outcome: Cancelled contract and full refund Written communication of the above

Memebership
This is a fraudulent business. They will misrepresent their services and products. They will deny you access to their website for 30 days so that you cannot see the actual pricing. They claim that it takes 30 days for activation. By the time 30 days go by you see the actual prices and won’t be able to cancel the membership because you only have 5 days to cancel. This is a total scam DO NOT BUY THIS !
Desired outcome: Refund
I already did and you refused to acknowledge my complaint.
Did not receive what was sold to us.
We were promised a lot of perks from uvc partnerships, which was a big selling point. After we got home and finally received all of our partnerships packages, we have learned it is complete lies. The partners send you back to uvc. Uvc threatens with contracts and states that they do not honor any promises written or otherwise that we received outside of the contract. It has taken almost two months for uvc to finally tell us this.
Desired outcome: Full refund and contract ended
We are continuing down your resolution process, in which your people originally told us to pack sand, and pay an additional fee to cancel, and that you are not liable for promises in writing from your sales team! Now that our credit card company is involved you have back peddled and are requesting more info. Your team is very versed in strong arming people and telling them what you want them to believe about contract law! We have been very open and patient with your company up until today. I have received two threats in 48 hrs from your payment team. Both I have reminded that their will not be any payments until you folks show us what we paid for! You can’t promise consumers vacations, put it in writing, and then say it’s not spelled out in the contract, the. Threaten them. It’s sad that some folks have bowed down to you instead of reaching out to legal counsel! Your harassment tactics are getting old.
You keep saying you value your customers, but this is a lie as well.
RCI membership Log in Information (CS department is a joke with company)
I and my wife joined on Jan 12th of this year, we are now 140 days in and have yet to receive our login info for RCI portion. We have called every week for over a month now and get eh same song and dance response. They have escalated the issue and it should be resolved in 5-10 days. I call and get the same answer every time. Today i got them to give supposedly the Corp office number [protected] (don't believe its the actual # and when I call that one they gave am the number and name Sophia Lopez who they claim is the manager for RCI/UVC accts, that number does not work and when I call back to the Corp # i get stuck in a crappy IVR. This is the worst CS experience I have seen and UVC is a joke. How hard is it to create and send me the login and temp PW for my RCI acct. Don't fall for this companies crap. They don't care as long as your check clears
Desired outcome: I want my RCI login acct created and sent to me ASAP

Unable to redeem trip certificate
Today, May 16, 2022. I was on the phone with 7 different Unlimited Vacation Club representatives for 6 hours. They each transferred me to a different person. The last representative said that he was transferring me to someone who could help me redeem my certificate. Unfortunately, I held on the line for an hour and then the phone completely went dead. He did not call back to assist.
I visited Secrets of the Vine and purchased the Return to Paradise option for a 3 nights and 4 days resort vacation and Second Vacation 3 nights 4 Days Cruise. I paid half up front on July 16, 2021 and then the other half of the payment was made on September 28, 2021. The second payment completed the entire balance. Now I want to redeem my certificate before it expires, but none (after 7 attempts) no one seems to be able to help me. When I go into my account, I am unable to book a resort or cruise vacation, I get the error message Access Denied. I spoke to 7 different representatives today because I want to book my trip. Unfortunately, I was told by one representative that she isn't able to confirm that we paid and she cannot book a trip because my account doesn't have access to the membership. So after paying for the trip (I have both receipts) we can't book anything.
Please do not book or waste your money.
Desired outcome: I paid for an all inclusive resort vacation with AMResorts and Cruise. I'd like to be able to book both trips.

Failure to deliver what was promised
I am a current UVC member and obviously booked bc I loved the resort and we love to travel. We were promised to receive a log in and password from RCI within 60-90 days. Actually, the sales rep told us we would probably hear from RCI within 2 weeks. We are now at 5 months since joining and nothing. We have called almost weekly and still don’t have our RCI log in/password to use our benefits. We are nervous about booking under our UVC membership now.
Desired outcome: We want our RCI log-in and password so we can use our bonus weeks as promised. My phone calls to customer service seem to be getting nowhere.

Lifestyle collection - researching class action lawsuit
Absolute scam and even more predatory sales even during Covid. I feel so foolish to fall for such programs and am beyond disappointed every time I need to talk to them. I paid everything up front because of the extra benefits they tout.
I hate their term that they keep using. "Concierge" I have not felt any type of that level of service once.
I see that many people have all the same complaints. https://www.classaction.org/learn/how-to-start

Refund my money cancel contract
DO NOT JOIN THE CLUB! These sales people are very well trained. Do not believe a word the say and pay particular attention to the fine print. The sales people have one mission GET YOUR MONEY! The worse experience you can imagine. I signed at Dreams Tulum. The sales people are in your face the entire vacation visit and offer alcohol to get you to not think clearly. After the impressive presentation, I foolishly signed the contract. For the past 2 months I have tried to reserve a Birthday vacation using my free bonus weeks. Every rep I talked with tells me there is no availabilty for the dates I desire or I’ll have to choose a All Inclusive resort and pay the resort fees. It is always some excuse. Do not do join this Club. Book through Orbitz, Expedia or your travel agent for ease of experience. If you see them coming toward you. Run fast and stay away. Large amount of money for absolutely nothing so far. Total Scam
Desired outcome: Cancel contract. Refund down payment and monthly fees.

Refusal to refund
Book a resort in Mexico thru Ultimate Vacation Stays, paid the fees and room charges. The resort Grand Sirenis declined the reversion because I am over 65. I was offered locations I was not interested in. After long searches we able to find a location and booked it to which I was assured my paid fees would be credited to this booking. However, confirming the reservation with the resort, they had not received any credit. Calling UVS I was informed I had a credit with the resort company who had refused my reservation due to age and I need to find one of their locations who would accept my request. Ultimate Vacation has refused to refund my original payment stating I have to use the credit with the same company who had denied me a reservation due to age, choosing a location that would accept me at my age. Very bad service to all be ware of the manipulation and refusal to do business in an ethical way

Benefits Deception
The benefits explained in the presentation extremely vary from what is actually obtained after signing the contract. They use the VIP Weeks and Reward Nights to make you feel like you are receiving some immediate pay back upon the start of the contract, only to find out that a majority of the resorts require a 2:1 redemption of weeks/nights and double the fee. Using the “VIP” weeks at 95% of the Secrets and ALL Breathless results in a $3200 reservation fee. It was not explained like this during the sales pitch. It is actually cheaper to use our “unlimited nights” price then to use the VIP weeks. We were repeatedly told the week would be at any resort for only $1600. AM Resorts (or whoever bought them) also suddenly phased out the entire NOW brand of resorts. These were mid ranged high value places where you could take a group of friends for the extended weekend and not spend 2 months salary in cost. The main reason we bought in. The average price per week has increased more then 3x since we closed on our membership. All they did was rebrand them as Dreams and slap a higher price tag, very deceptive. They also offer zero assistance in terms of member support. The only people you can get on a live call are there to make a reservation and can’t assist with anything else. If you ever have a question on something contract related you are left shaking your head and scanning online forums for help. Lastly, they refuse to admit there was some form of data breach. I receive multiple calls/emails a day from scammers trying to buy my club membership from me. I have no idea how they obtained my personal information. I use my cell phone for business and unfortunately have to answer all calls received. Can be extremely frustrating some days.
Desired outcome: 1:1 redemption on VIP and reward nights. Some sort of account rep. Admit my personal data was compromised.

Customer service / issue unable to access my account
Svetlana, I'm the member of the UVC more then 10 years. This is first time situation that I have - is not resolved more then 1 month, my account blocked from unexpected situation and I still have to pay for membership. On March 12, 2022 all flights from NY JFK was canceled due to weather storm. This was a 1st date of vacation to Punta Cana Dominican Republic. As soon as flights was cancelled /same date - I called directly to Amstar to let them know regurding flight conciliation by JetBlue unpredictible weather storm situation. They confermed this reservation. Then we called to UVC customer service to cancel the transportation and get refund for transportation of $ 74.00. UVC explained that we have to send the flight conciliation proof from JetBlue and this is not guarantee for refund, because from their policy - any changes to a reservation must be communicated within 24 hours notice by telephone. I called several times and spend a lot of hours to explain of unpredictable weather situations and I couldn't know about this weather situation 24 hours before - as policy said. Asking to transfer me to another worker, another supervisor to help me with this particular situation. All of them was repeating the same about policy and nobody listen of this situation. I asked customer
service representative to email me all, what they said in written form. I get nothing, only email with general contact tinformation with only one phone number to contact if I have a questions. I called again, when I spoke with the last one and asked how long it takes to resolved the issue - they said :waifgt 5-7 buisenes days some supervisor will respond and they'll follow up with me. It was a nice answer. I was waiting, ofcourse - nobody respond timely. Follow step by step their policy After 7 buisenes days of no respond - we called to the credit card for dispute. A week ago when I find out that my account is blocked - I called again to UVC on 4.16.22 explained again the situation and acking to unlocks my account. I heard again the same policy as I explained before. Transportation Refund is not guarantee, I have to call to credit card and withdraw refund, only then will unlock my accountI. asked about escalation. They have to respond from their policy within 24- 48 hours. I got a phone call just today 4.24.22. The situation still not resolved and I have the same answer. I asked to provide the phone number to the mngmt or EEO or some hire complaints department BUT no one from customer service provided. It is seemsed that UVC has no respect to the members.
Now my account is blocked, unable to use it and have to continue to pay each month for my membership.
This is very unfair not to get refund for unpredictable weather issue and timely respond to the members.
Please assist with my situation.
Thank you for understanding.

We bought a vacation package
We bought a vacation package in Dec 2020 and because of Covid didn't try to use it until Nov of 2021. That was when we called to book for Dec 2021 or Jan 2022, all the dates we wanted were blacked out and they told us we couldn't use our package until April 15, 2022 because of the restrictions of the program. (So we said some April dates, some May dates and some July dates and they all were blacked out too.) At the time of purchase, we were told no black out dates and we could use the weeks whenever we wanted. Then on April 14, 2022 we get a call that we owe them a yearly fee, that we knew nothing about. We have made dozens of calls to our representative, and they never answer, never call back. (And now we learn that he has left the company.) We called his supervisor, all in an attempt to ask about all this and he also never returns our multiple messages.
We were told that we would have a free week and now (April 18, 2022) no one sees that on our contract. It seems what we signed and what they see signed are not the same contract — must have been magic ink. They are so confusing with all the tell you. We were told that our other weeks would be $500 and when we tried to book that package, they were $3500.00. Nothing they have said at the time of signing has been what we have now.
Desired outcome: We want a full refund!
They wont answer emails and this wasn't resolved through a BBB complaint.
I am also going through the similar situation! Have you been able to get any kind of satisfaction?
Misleading sales information
My husband and I recently joined Uvc March 2022 in Montego Bay Secrets Wild orchid. We paid just under 30K and were promised 49 premier nights, 2 VIP weeks ($1600/week) and the first RCI year fee paid for with 1400 “nights” with RCI at $500/week (first two weeks only $250). The sales rep showed us the RCI catalog and made us believe that if we bought this “Silver” plan that we could stay at any hotel or condo in the catalog, however if we downgraded to a lower plan, such as the pearl, our options would be extremely limited. This was a major selling point for us as we were made to believe we actually had 1400 nights at 500 per week to use. Never once did she explain that these “nights” actually converted into a point system with no way of knowing what that actually buys us. No one at either UVC or RCI can tell me what my 1400 “nights” actually buys me-I’ve reached out to them multiple times. We can’t even get our RCI log in for 90 days! We had wanted to book a trip prior to that and obviously can’t. Looking back, we should have know this was too good to be true but we’re new at this.
Also, we were very upfront with the fact that we have three young children who we would be vacationing with in the near future, and they never once told us that we would have to pay for two rooms to accommodate our little ones. This means that the 1:1 resorts we have to use 2 nights for. (Our kids are little and fit in one bed).
I got upset and called with the intention to cancel my membership. All they could tell me was that I would owe them 50% of my membership to cancel-15K! No one tried any service recovery or to work with me in anyway to make things right. I had a manager on the phone, and when I mentioned all of my concerns she just kept quoting my contract to me. The customer service is excellent UNTIL you buy in then they know they have you and could care less. When we signed for our membership, the sales rep even gave me her cell phone number, Andrea. I tried calling it which of course went to voicemail and I never heard back. Also - you don’t get your log-in for 7 days and of course can cancel up until day 5 for free, conveniently. You don’t get to see what you’re buying until it’s too late. The deals on their site aren’t even that great and are during hurricane season! I feel like an idiot for joining - DON’T DO IT!
Desired outcome: Work with me to cancel my plan without a significant loss.
This was not resolved to my satisfaction as stated. They offered me an adjusted plan that was incredibly unfair and resulted in me spending less money overall but basically getting next to nothing for that money.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
