Vons Pharmacy

I went to drop off a prescription at Vons on Murphy Canyon:3550 Murphy Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92123.

I would like to say that the pharmacist "Sara" was very rude. She asked me to come back in 45 minutes just to check for me how much the medication will cost me. I came back after 45 minutes and she told me in a rude way and not even saying sorry:" I did not get a chance to check yet, have a seat".

She had two other customers while I was sitting that she talked to and processed their request, then she checked mine.

She needs to know how to treat customers. It is because of her, I would never go get my prescription at Vons again.

Vons My full refund from vons for $151.28

Below is my letter today I emailed to the Corporate office at:

Vons already sent me the Refund Conf. letter below and been telling me for weeks I'll get my Refund.

4/24/23 - 1:31pm - Pam, the rep., told me in so many words, Sorry, we're not going to refund your money back.

RE: My Confirmed Refund ($151.28) Order #[protected]/Case ID#'s [protected] (original date 4.3.23) and Case ID#[protected] (renamed & redated on 4.17.23.

Dear Sir/Madame:

I have been calling for nearly a month now about my Refund that your representative promised I would receive weeks ago.

I have been calling for weeks and spoke to 5 different Representatives and even a Supervisor each time for nearly an hour or more and each one constantly tells me one lie after another over and over again. I am attaching above my Call Log that I made to [protected]), your Customer Service Representatives and below an email from one of your Supervisor's on April 17, 2023, lying to me again saying I would receive my Refund in 3 days. All she did was change the Case ID number from #[protected] to Case ID#[protected] starting the process saga all over again.

Your employees that I spoke to are Truly a Pack of Liars, Very Dishonest and Untruthful.

On April 3, 2023 I made a Vons Online Order and here below is the treatment I received for Example:

1.) You did not give me the Sale Price Items that you advertised:

For instance, I ordered 4 packs of Chips A Hoy Cookies on Sale for $2.99 x 4 = $11.96 but I was charged $4.49 each totally $17.96. I was overcharged nearly $5.00

I ordered two (2) 1 Liter Signature soda was on sale for $1.29 each, but I was charged $1.99 each.

I ordered 2 Coffees on sale $5.99 x 2 = $11.98, but I was charged $19.98

2.) You charged me Higher for your Substitute Items than my original item I ordered. The Substitute Items are not suppose to be Higher than the original Items:

Lucerne Cream Cheese 8 oz. was on sale for $2.49, you Substituted with Philadelphia Cream Cheese 8 oz. and charged me $3.99

I ordered Signature Farm 2lb bag of Lemons for $3.79, you Substituted with another bag of lemons and charged me $4.99

I ordered 1 18 pack of Cage Free Eggs, you substituted with 1 18 pack of Regular Eggs

3.) You did not give me my Complete order:

I ordered 3 Organic Frozen Butternut Squash, I only received 2

As that saying goes: "But wait, there's more"...but you get the jest of it and so far, this leaves me with a Terrible Experience with Von's.

Considering the way your employees have treated me, I have no choice but to report this to you, The Von's Headquarters in the Belief that you will do the Right Thing and correct this matter immediately Today and return my Refund to me ASAP without any Further Delay.

Please feel free to contact me and I look forward to hearing from you ASAP and your Prompt and Immediate Attention to rectify this Matter today.

It has happen 3 times in 2 months I go to the deli dept between 6-6:30 on Sundays and denied servive for deli meat was told meat slicer is already clean and this section closed, all hot food is available is what I was told. The time is 4-5 hours well before closing. I have addressed with Manager after first time. I shop her for the convenience until it not. ☹️

Vons Manger & theft

Hello, my name is Jose m Lopez. I wanted to ask how can I go about getting my refund from the stores lotto machine. Me & my wife went to the store “ 17380 w.sunset Blvd store number :2266 at 7:35-7:47pm on Saturday March 18 2023 we bought 1 20$ lotto ticket & bought a 10$ one but the 10$ lotto ticket did not come out ! & I told the night manger he told me to come back at the morning because the bookkeeper would check it . I came back in the morning at 10:37-10:46am today March 19 2023 the manger told me the book keeper did not find anything wrong or extra money but that machine took my 10$ I told him check the camera because what is the whole point if ur Secuirty system if they can’t see what’s going on he didnt want to do that . U can check the cameras at 7:35-7:47 pm I did NOT get my lotto ticket but I DID PAY BUT DID NOT GET MY LOTTO ticket . I want my refund of those 10$ that machine that’s in vons store took from me . I believe the manger is a liar & lying to me to take my money from me just check the cameras . I also called earlier but they said they would call me back but they did not . But I would like my refund of my 10$ because I didn not get my lotto ticket I paid for. The manger in the store was professional about it his name is Andreas .

Vons Produce employee and register employee

I visited store number 2660 in Marietta California on March 23 at 19::55. During this visit, I encountered two employees that made my shopping trip very uncomfortable.

First one was at 7:48pm I’m the produce department. An older man was organizing the vegetables and every time another customer it I picked up lettuce, squash, Ect he would mumble disgruntled. At first, I thought nothing about this and continue to shop. Then he pushed his cart that was full of vegetables to restock very fast next to me, and almost hit me with it looked at me and continue to walk. Two seconds later, he went to the asparagus section of vegetables where I had just picked been and he said out loud while rearranging them…” I can’t believe people are out shopping at 8:00 and 9:00 at night” He then made a loud sigh and started anger my restocking. It made me very uncomfortable and I felt unsafe around him.

Directly after that I went to the register to pay for my items and sadly did not have a better experience with one of the employees. The cash register employee, Tyrone never once greeted me, said hello, asked if I found everything OK, etc. In fact, he didn’t even speak to me after everything was rung up to tell me my total or that I could pay, and I was just standing there, waiting for him to finish, and then realized he wasn’t speaking to me so I asked him if it was OK to pay, and he barely looked at me and mumbled the word yes. I have never experienced such a cold, harsh and unfriendly encounter when checking out. I am a palled that the employees at this store are so rude. It is enough for me and my entire family and all of my friends to never returned and shop there again.

Desired outcome: Please talk to the employees and train them on customer service. It’s vital to Vons’s business.

Vons Client assistance desk

Today, 3/14/23 13:45, I was at Von’s store 2327, 931 Lomas Santa Fe Dr in Solana Beach.

I asked to be helped to find batteries of the same size and power of that one I was showing to the Assistant. She said to me that I had to read what was written on the battery. Regretfully, the characters were tiny, I hadn’t my glasses and I a am 70! She muttered something and without a smile or showing no willingness to help me, she said that the ones I had just bought were fine. Since I had taken with me two exhausted batteries as samples, I politely asked her where I could dispose of them, meaning in what kind of garbage container (I am European and we have different containers according to the type of garbage we are disposing of!). She briskly and rudely answered me: “Throw them where you think better 😏🤨

I often go to Vons and, so far, was always treated as a CLIENT: today she embarrassed me and made me feel rejected!

I hope you’ll handle the matter.

Vons Deli department

I came to the deli at vons here in Torrance, ca on Crenshaw blvd. I’m writing this in the parking lot right now it’s 6:26 pm. I went into the Vons at 5:30 PM and stood in line for a sandwich. It took forever for the two employees to take care of two customers before me, and at 5:55 when it was my turn, the employee asked me what I want. I told him that I would like a sandwich and he said are you OK on time because it takes a while to make the sandwich I said yes time is fine I don’t care. So then he rolls his eyes and walks over to the sandwich area and then tells me oh sorry never mind she already put the sandwich stuff away and I said wow it’s barely 6 PM and the deli says it’s still open until later. why is it close so early? and he tells me I don’t know why she close it early. It usually doesn’t close this early. Then just says sorry about that and walks away. So what the [censored] is going on? Why does the website and the store and customer support in the store? Tell me that it’s open but then I get to the counter and the employees make the schedule. And why do they move like 1 mph and rolled her eyes at customers who are paying. If they hate their job so much, they should quit and find something better and Vons should be taken care of this kind of customer service because this is totally unacceptable… now I have to find something else to eat somewhere else even though I drove all the way here to shop at the deli, wasted my time and gas waiting in line and all…

Desired outcome: Train employees on customer service, update the website, store information and let customer service department in the store know to inform maybe even play signs showing the new schedule if the deli really closes at 5 PM

Vons Customer service

I am dissatisfied with Vons. They have poor customer service. Today, 2/28/23, at checkout, the people in front of me took forever, wasting my time. They were picky and arguing with the workers who didn't even acknowledge the presence of me or the people behind me. They didn't seem competent. They did all they could to help them. However, for me, they didn't even put my bags into the shopping cart. They kept them on the conveyor belt and didn't even bother to move them closer to the end. I had to lift those heavy bags across the counter and into the cart. In most of my previous visits, I often see workers chatting, having personal conversations, and goofing off while not paying attention to customers, especially at checkout.

On 1/3/23, at 1 P.M., I was looking for eggs and the 1/2 gallon 2% milk, but couldn't find what I wanted. I managed to see a worker, and he said that he would get someone in the dairy department. He had an accent hard to understand. The dairy department worker came out, and when I asked about the products, he kept quickly mumbling and gesturing, refusing to talk. The 1st worker answered part of my question. I was then made to wait a long time. The dairy worker came out, and when I asked about the milk, he kept quickly mumbling and gesturing, acting like he didn't know what I was talking about. I decided to show him and saw the milk was just brought out. He should have said so. I think I saw that criminal in the dairy department in past visits, and he was rude, arrogant, and improper.

Vons Language

I was recently shopping in a Vons in Santa Clarita and the cashier, and the bagger spoke to each other in Spanish and didn't even look at me or acknowledge me as a customer. Why can't you teach your workers that the customers PAY for their living and deserve to be recognized and spoken to in ENGLISH, the language of the UNITED STATES. They do not have to speak to each in spanish, they are living in the US and they should be grateful that you even give them a job! Very unpleasant experience! By the way my bill was over $300.00 and that should account for something!

Desired outcome: That you hire whoever you wish, but they must speak ENGLISH to each other and to customers!!

Hello there,

I am not affiliated with Vons but am just a consistent shopper. I completely understand your grievance about the cashier and bagger not acknowledging you in any way and speaking a foreign language to each other. I would suggest bringing it up with store management and perhaps district management that employees interacting with customers should aways smile, and greet the customers at the very minimum. When employees are on the clock they should only speak English or American Sign Language - or a foreign language when a customer needs it.

Vons Manager Sonny

Formal Complaint about Manager Sonny (store #2155)

Since I moved from Northern California to the beautiful Claremont area, I anticipated the fresh fruits and vegetables, courteous deli staff, hardworking pharmacy and the smiling barista that joyfully makes my coffee! All the excellent customer service I have grown to enjoy!

Unfortunately, I came to the local establish store # 2155 Dir, Colleen Kimmell on Saturday, January 28th. I went to my local store to get groceries, shopped for my items, then paid for my items. As I was leaving the store and popped the hood to the trunk of my vehicle. I heard one of your workers (Sonny) proceed to shout, “really, you did not pay for those. You're going to steal from my store?” I replied what? I paid for these. You can check your video. Sonny stated, “Ok, you're just going to steal from my store.” I returned inside the store to get a full refund for groceries, Sonny said I stole. Sonny said, in a snarky tone, he said,“ you paid for it.” There was no apology. As I was leaving, Sonny stated,“ she was the manager and I could not return to her store again.”

I was highly shocked and offended that an employee, let alone a manager at Vons, would treat a customer in this manner. Shouting in the parking lot, I steal food? Then Sonny further harassed and slandered my character, in front of customers inside the store. By shouting, I could not return to her store again. I held Von stores to higher standards of customer friendly establishment. Sonny accusing me of being a thief is slander.

I do not want to bring my family to our local grocery store to get called a thief and get harassed by Sonny again. I am appalled by the egregious customer service from a manager at Vons. This is a very grave inconvenience to our family. May I suggest a resolution to this matter. First, I would appreciate an apology for Sonny’s unprofessional behavior and for slandering my character. Second, if you can have the store deliver my groceries to my home or have another Vons store deliver my groceries. I should not be charged a delivery fee because I can no longer go to Sonny's store.

Vons Manager keeps saying he will order a certain cheese and never does

I want longhorn cheddar cheese lucerne makes it and the managers keep telling me they will get it but never follow through,I had to oder 4 pounds log of it from Wisconsin a couple months ago because no one carries it anymore I don't know why,sprouts carries a cheese that says it's longhorn but it's not,I want some so bad,please carry longhorn cheddar cheese again, thank you.

Vons Bad Customer Service

On January 21, 2023 at approximately at 6:30 AM I was shopping at my local Von’s store at PCH Long Beach Ca and spent nearly 300.00. There were no cashiers to help me. I had to scan all the groceries my self. I have always a bad experience shopping at Von’s. Your cashiers have a bad attitude and very unhelpful. They seem to chat most the time within themselves instead of helping customers.

Vons Pickup and delivery

I was in the hospital. During this time someone shopped delivery from Vons. Had the items delivered to another name and address. Got back home and filled a fraud claim threw the chat in the App. They gave me a reference number and said they were escalating my complaint. When I called vons today. The lady said that’s not 1 of their reference numbers and she filled out a complaint form over the phone and gave me a different reference number. I’m not going in circles. If I don’t here back from VONS on Monday I’m filling a police report and do what I have to do to get my money back

Vons Make mandatory for all Von's Pharmacies available at all times.

Please advise your Pharmacist in charge at above location that malpractice not to have one of the most commonly steroid called Dexamethasone (Decadron) available at all times, in all forms and strength. Steroids must be available at all time.

We see increased Covid and Flu cases. Many fully vaccinated and boosted still contact Covid. If their respiration is affected even mild will need this drug for home treatment. It reduces greatly swelling in the upper respiratory tract and the lung.
