My wife and I went to our neighborhood Waffle House on Saturday. When we walked in we were the only customers in the dining room. We sat down and the staff had the music so loud on the juke box you couldn't hear each other talk and the employees had to scream at each other to hear each other talk. The music stayed like this through our whole meal.
Desired outcome: If a customer comes in they should at least turn the music down so that we can enjoy our meal.
This is typical of every Waffle House I have been in for several years now. The Waffle House in South Highland, Jackson Tennessee ALSO plays their jukebox TOO LOUD... but worst of all, the crew (all Manager's kinfolk for the most part) yell at each other, scream out jokes to one another, laugh so loud and talk so loud about personal issues/events that the customers in there 'trying' to eat often can't hear themselves talk to their own spouses or friends! True! And the manager not only condones this behavior from her employees... she JOINS IN! Again, honest truth! You literally can't hear yourself 'think' in this store for the employee chit-chat and chatter!
It makes for a VERY unhappy eating experience, and I highly recommend nobody visits/eats at this store. The place isn't clean, the food ho-hum, the employees (including the manager) rude and surly, the food overpriced (they charge you for every pickle and leaf of lettuce and now charge you for water.) And on top of all this you have to listen to their overwhelming conversations the whole time you try to eat. B'ah! Not good! Again, this place is NOT recommended!
Lol Karen. It's Waffle House. You go to eat tasty diner food not be coddled. And by tasty I mean it's hot, sweet/salty/spicy (how you order), fatty and hits the spot. Waffle House is the epitome of greasy spoon.
You're an idiot. If you think dirty places sticky with grease, surly too-loud employees and argumentative managers that not only agree with bad behavior but even join in on it ...makes for good food, then you are a real nutcase.
Face it Sunflower... nobody likes you. If you think expecting a clean place, a quiet place, a friendly place with food not dripping in fat and not being handled by nasty hands on a nasty grill is too much to ask for, you're just not very bright are you?
Especially when you're paying the equivalent (these days) of what it would cost to eat at a really GOOD place.
LOL...
Let the them enjoy their shift. It's a waffle house not a bougie place. You go to waffle house for (unhealthy) but tasty food. Quit being a Karen.
I'm thinking you must 'work' at Waffle House...lol. Am I right ole greasy sunflower?
How it’s the juke box .. you CANT TURN THE VOLUME DOWN.
You obviously never actually worked with or been around a Jukebox... both the old record kind, the CD kind, or the newer electronic music kind... lol. EVERY jukebox in the world HAS A VOLUME control... hahaha... not knowing that makes you look pretty darn foolish.
Why did you feel the need to pipe up and comment about that when you obviously had no clue as to how a jukebox operates? Or it's controls... sure, the controls aren't right out there for the public to see, but usually located on the back of the unit or via an access panel or code key. Still, you come on and comment as if you were some sort of expert on Jukeboxes. LOL.
That tells us all we need to know about you, Tiger! hahaha
