Walgreens Staff not helpful with prescription for diabetic supplies

This is concerning the Walgreen at 78218 Varner Rd Palm Desert, CA 92211.

I placed an order for OneTouch Ultra Blue Test Strip needed for diabetic care. The Pharmacy wants to charge me the full retail price for these even though I have gotten them twice before from them. They state "Patient resides in region "D". Medicare records indicate patient lives in Indio CA. Please verify address."

I have tried everything possible to resolve this with Medicare and AARP my two medical suppliers. They cannot seem to resolve this.

Your people at the drug store have not been helpful and everytime I call for help it takes over an hour to get them on the phone. This is terrible service from you.

Can you help me resolve this issue.

Walgreens Prescription's

The walgreens store at 17811 e hwy 24 independence mo. Wont let me order two day ahead. My ins says I can order a couple days ahead of last month. If I order on the 5th cant make it till the 9th next month I cant oder till the 9 th is when they will fill it cos that's when I walked out of the store with it. I needed a prescription on the 25 th cos I would be out of town. They told me not till the 27th I had to wait. I picked it up today on the 5th. I ask do I have to wait till the 5th of next month yes was the answer. I went 9 days without my medicine begin to wonder if I needed it. I started getting real [censored]y about things. Hell no I dont need that [censored]. Yea I guess I do.

Desired outcome: i want my medicine's when its legal. i have to be out of town a lot these days..i cant be setting in a parking lot a half a day waiting on a prescription somewhere

Walgreens Incompetent employees in pharmacy

This review is regarding the Walgreens at 6558 Lantana Road, Lake Worth, FL, 33467. Store #3713. Recently my husband I I picked up my prescription. We went through the line that has the "tube." We paid with a debit card and the cashier sent the prescription back through the tube. I looked for my husband's debit card and it was not there. He pushed the button to talk to the employees and said "where's my card?" The employee looked at us like she had no clue and before I knew it there were 3 employees scrambling around looking for the card. It sounds like it came out of the tube because they could see it in the cylinder but couldn't reach it. 15 minutes went by with them trying to get it saying they had to call their boss, blah blah blah, and they still ended up not being about to reach it. We had to spend the next morning going to our bank to get a replacement card.

This morning (3 days later), Walgreens called and said they have our card. We told them to cut it up. You would think they'd at least offer us a small gift card for the major inconvenience they caused! They need to train their employees better! I will not go back to this Walgreens! They hire too many incompetent employees!

Desired outcome: It would be nice to receive a small gift card for the major inconvenience they caused!

Walgreens Phone system

Their phone system is an abyss of despair. I have a controlled substance prescription . My doctor will submit prior to the “day-of” fill date because the Walgreens I go to never had things in stock and would take up to a week to get them (not what I am complaining about, but maddening). So I went to the store to remind them to fill it (they will leave it on permanent hold “reviewing prescription” status if not prompted.

They told me to call the store the next day. I said “look if I call they connect me to a phone bank, then eventually they will connect me to the actual store where I will wait on hold for up to an hour, can’t you please just leave a note, a post-it, something for the pharmacist to fill tomorrow. Please. Pretty Please?” She agreed.

Either it didn’t happen, or it was ignored. Just spent 20+ minutes going through the exact BS I predicted.

I feel honestly bad for the pharmacy staff at my local Walgreens. They have been horribly understaffed from day 1. I do not understand that despite the huge amount of money Walgreens makes their phone and online systems are dismal and ineffective. It should not take me half an hour to prod people to do their job. The amount of effort it takes to get prescriptions filled regularly shocks me. I don’t recall Walgreens always having a DMV/post office level of IDGAF, but boy phi boy it is the norm now.

Desired outcome: Walgreens starts to give a [protected]@$& about their customers. I am dreaming.

Walgreens Walgreens at federal highway and spanish river road in boca raton fl

The store is horribly managed, the employees are rude, but most of all you cannot reach a pharmacist when you need one. I waited over 20 minutes for my call to go through. Every time I was connected the pharmacist disconnected me. I then gave up and tried to reach the store manager, but he did the same thing.

The wait to pick up our prescriptions at the pharmacy both inside and at the drive in is very slow. You should have more the 1 person at the pickup counter during high peek hours. When I complained about the wait she said that I shall come back at a different time ever though I needed my medicine NOW. She was VERY RUDE.

I keep using them only because the store in King Of Prussia PA is my summertime primary, but once I move permanently to Florida I will stop using them unless a large improvement in service is instituted.

Desired outcome: I hope to see a significant improvement in the future. I would like to receive a meaningful response

No Communications/or apprection of my hard work/or no understanding of who I am

I like to mind my business and stay quiet especially with people these days if knows what i mean/i like to do my job and go home and i lose concentration/can't function when someone stares at me/or standing there next to me/Idk what to say and how to say things and how to create/finish a conversation/idk how to word things which is hard for me (I'm working on wording, hard to expressed my feelings/opened up to people especially in workplace due to past relations and other things too)

I'm a hardworker and make sure things gets done properly and in order and so on

I've been doing good with my anxiety and I'm very happy/blessed/thankful for my life! I don't give up especially with jobs especially when I've speech impairment (hard to get a job and a interview) I make glad I've a job though!

Thanks again to dimaris, eddie, Candace and lekiah maintainly dimaris and Candace understanding about who I am/what is hard for me and what not/what I'm working on and bugging me and other things things too keep up the good work u guys 🙂✌️

Walgreens Service

Walgreens, Altoona PA. Pharmacy closed on weekends. I work out of town during the week. I order pain patches once a month. They never keep them in stock. They wait until the day the script is to be filled and then tell me they have to order them. Every month. No matter how early, I get the script sent in to them. Combine all of that with their phone system being down, or their computer system being down, and it’s just hard to imagine how this can be a modern pharmacy.

Walgreens Pharmacy

This complaint is about Store number #10741 in Ft. Pierce Florida.

The pharmacy phone system is terrible, Every time our medical office needs to communicate with pharmacy staff there is roughly an hour wait on hold where staff picks up phone and places it back on hold. I have never had so many problems contacted a pharmacy in regards to clarifying orders from my office. I have been on hold for 28 minutes so far and as i write this complaint I am still holding for service. why have a provider line if it gets routed to a general holding que.

Walgreens pharmacy

Monday, March 21, 2020. Time 4:40 pm

1, received a voice ail message from pharmacy to come in and get last Shingles shot

2. was told at the counter that an appointment was needed I was to call the 88 number

3. Called the number and was told they don't make appointments. Send an email. They neglected to furnish an email address

This run around was totally unnecessary. The counter person was rude, unprofessional and nasty to the core. She could have easily given me an appointment and avoided the aggravation that followed. I will never use another Walgreens for anything again or recommend another person to use it either. Bottom line, I still do not have an address to file for an appointment for my shot. I will, however look for someplace else to give my money in exchange for the shot. This ordeal was a disgusting disgrace to your operations. Shame on Walgreens!

Walgreens Mariella cookies

Hello,

On 03/20/22 at 2:06 pm I visited Walgreens Store #[protected] Potranco Rd. San Antonio, TX 78251. Along with other items I purchased your Mariella brand butter cookies in a red tin can. Batch no: BCM1808, BBD: 02/17/2023. I purchased them because the package said Original Danish and the picture on the package looked like the original Royal Dansk Danish butter cookie.

When I opened the package I noticed they are not the same cookies as shown on the package and of course do not taste like the Original Royal Dansk butter cookie. The package also says, “Original Danish recipe”. This is false advertising and I will be returning the product for my money back.

This experience was disappointing and depressing. I am contemplating notifying the Federal Trade Commission in order to protect further customers from purchasing this item.

Walgreens Rude Service\Never again. Walgreens Pharmacy Wentworth and Ridge Lansing IL 60438

On three different occasions, I was treated rude at this location. This occured twice in the drive thru and this time on the phone for my prescription assistance or just picking up my Prescriptions which were magickly not in stock for eight days. I do understand that there is or was a Health Crisis because I also was involved in the response for ARC. Anyway, we are all under pressure I understand that but to take patient information on the phone and then put them on hold without telling them and then hanging up on them is just plain unacceptable and rude. They need to either train staff there or why don't you replace them with some H1C Visa's they would be hard to understand but at least they wouldn't act entitled or be rude to Clients. 11:15AM 03/19/2022

Walgreens Prescription refilling

Since November of 2021, I have had nothing but problems with Walgreen's.

Unless and until I call, my prescription for Gabapentin is not filled. Whereas at one point Walgreen's re-filled an anti-anxiety prescription THREE times in one week, until I stopped it.

The app will give me an estimated time, and that time stays the same, even several days past. So, today, Mar 17, the app told me that my prescription would be ready yesterday at 4 pm. It will say the same tomorrow. Or it would, if I hadn't cancelled it because I'm going to go to a different pharmacy. Not that you care. If you cared, you would have fixed this by now. I'm not the only person complaining, which you obviously know.

Why bother offering the convenience of an app for requesting refills, when I have to call every single time? What is the point? How much frustration and pain are you going to pile onto to those of us already dealing with frustration and pain of terminal cancer? Is there a single human being working for your company?

Is this some sort of new policy? Give us more of what we don't want, regardless, and nothing at all of what we actually need because we have a terminal cancer?

Such compassionate care. Thanks, Walgreens.

Desired outcome: I would like an explanation for why you instituted this new policy of not filling prescriptions in a timely manner, and I would like to know how you think it's working for your customers.

Walgreens Pharmacy Christine

My doctor from UC Davis sends in my prescription on the 16th of every month by fax to this pharmacy. I call on the 17th to make sure it's ready for pick-up and price. I have been doing this for 6 years in Patterson, California where I retired, and prior to that 7 years in Citrus Heights, California. I am 71 years old, this prescription is for Norco's.

This is an ongoing problem with Walgreens.

First I could pick my prescription up 4 days before the due date of the 20th.

Then it was 3 days before the due date of the 20th.

Then it was one day before the 20th

Now it's the 20th.

Prices for the same drug over time 48.00, 37.00 28.00, now 22.00.

This is what bothers me, they have the prescription on the 17th to fill from my doctor. I have another prescription to pick up as well this time. I want to pick up both together considering gas prices in California are at $6.59, regular gas per gallon. I live in a rural area so driving 7-20 miles is normal, now I really must plan my route and routine care.

Is Walgreens trying to save me from getting a prescription 3 days early...please!

Desired outcome: Walgreen's, if you received a prescription from a valid doctor.. fill the prescription that day. Stop trying to be the doctor, I have one!

Walgreens Unable to get pain medication due to pharmacist claiming that she can't fill it until the 17th.

I am a 66 yr senior who suffers from severe orthopedic arthritis. My primary physician prescribed Tramadol 50 mg for pain relief. I am scheduled for two hip replacements in the future. The pharmacist (Dancy-Robert Wood Johnson location in New Brunswick) refused to fill it until March 17th and I would receive it on the 18th. That leaves me with 3 days of no pain relief. This medication was placed on the level 4 narcotic list and should not be on this list. Its non addictive and is the only effective pain medication. This pharmacist talked down to me and implied that I was a drug addict. This pharmacists continued to state that the medication was a controlled substance and that she would not fill a prescription for someone who is abusing it. I was shocked at her ignorance and her attitude, I also filled a complaint with the New Jersey patient advocate office and contacted my physician's office.

Desired outcome: I would like to receive my medication ASAP as I will be out of my medication as of tomorrow March 15,2022. I also would like this pharmacist to understand how negative her behavior is and suggest she receive customer service training,

Walgreens Pharmacy staff/RUDE/discrimination

I have been a customer of your stores for quite some time now. Before I get into my issue, I must let you know that I am diagnosed with scoliosis, spinal stenosis, degenerative L4&L5. I am in a prison of chronic pain and I am also poor. I do agree that the opioid crisis in the U.S.needs addressing. I am PRESCRIBED a pain medication that HELPS my condition. I also understand your company has policies and DEA regulations to follow, but I have a LEGITIMATE prescription that was given to me by my Doctor. EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to TRY to fill it, I'm made to feel like a criminal. I have had a mental breakdown in your store because of the attitude and rudeness the staff. I know that my $155 has no meaning to your gigantic company, but good Lord what is going on with your stores? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME! I am now almost 2 weeks without my DOCTOR PRESCRIBED medication, I cant even walk at this very moment. [protected]. Michele Blankenship. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!

Rude, unprofessional, attitude, absolutely ridiculous behavior. I have actually heard pharmacy staff make a racial and extremely hurtful comment about me. I wanted this to be in all caps but your site wouldn't allow-TOO MANY CAPS. Wow, that's just...WOW.

March 19,2022 I went to get my prescriptions filled and when I gave the cashier my credit card she said it didn't go thru so i used my debit card and all was fine until I arrived home. I went to my credit card information only to find the purchase for $60.00 did go thru, then I checked my bank and that was also used for the $60.00. I went back to the store and the female cashier said there was nothing they could do and she and the other cashier along with the pharmacist laughed. to me it is no laughing matter. I am now dealing with management to have this problem solved I will find out in the next two days. The pharmacy I have been using for many years and where this happened is located in Baltimore Maryland, Eastern Ave. and Haven Street..P>S> I am a senior citizen 88 years of age the cashiers were young African ladies and the Pharmacist was a Muslin wearing the scarf on her head. I am about ready to look for a new pharmacy because Walgreens does not always have the best prices.

Walgreens Service

I visited Wal Greens on March 3 around 11:30am. I saw online where this Kingwood location has some ginger chews in stock to help with my nauseous symptoms. Upon arriving I looked in a few aisles for the item and couldn't find it. So I went to the pharmacy to see if someone could come help me find the item. One of the girls went to get the pharmacists and the pharmacist came to the desk and asked what I was looking for and I told. She directed me to look at two aisle that I already looked at and said if they're not on those aisle then we probably don't have the item, but from online it showed they had a lot of them in stock. So I asked her what her name was because I felt it was very rude and lazy of her not to come help me find the item as other pharmacists there has done for me in the past. She told me her name but I can't remember. I wanted to bring this to the attention of whoever is the manager of this location because I felt this was pure laziness and not a good example of trying to help a customer. I was not to please that she didn't help me much, that I didn't bother looking and decided to go to a different Walgreens where the pharmacist actually came from behind the counter to assist me.

Desired outcome: Would like for his to be addressed with staff in the pharmacy department.
