Walmart sales assocaiate almost kidnapped my child.

My husband and I were shopping our three children. Two sons four and five. One daughter nine. My four year old son got lost and my husband went to notify the people at customer service. They made an announcement that described the four year old who was lost. You know one of those code adams. I was closer to the returns desk and went to get my child when they asked for the parent to return that the child has been found. They refused to give my son to me. They told me that only the person who reported the child missing could claim the child. To make matters worse they treated me like it was I who was the kidnapper. My son wanted some action figures which I refused to buy him. In turn when the associate asked if I was his mother no, I don't know this person. They asked if he knew who I was and he said no. Either he did not know how to answer the question or he lied to say that I was not his parent because I refused to make the purchase. This was embarrassing as I looked like a kidnapper. They wanted proof that this was my child.(a birth certificate, ect.) Who carries a birth certificate. My husband who made reported the child missing came to the desk later, and confirmed I was the mother. They apologized and said that they had to keep the child until the person making the report of a child came to retrieve the child. Who is the kidnapper here I ask, you who refused to return my son to me, or me who was just trying to get my son back.

So, the way I see it is that your kid was being a little snotnose brat. Lots of liability if Wal-Mart had given him to just anyone. This is theee reason that Wal-Mart has that lost child policy in place and they stick to it like glue. They needed to find WHO was the owner of said kid, and I do agree with them on their kid return policy. You shoulda said to the kid that you were leaving the store and that he could just stay there, and then you coulda and shoulda walked off...Then, you shoulda just left the kid there and let him "stew" and think about lying, and the what happened as a result of the poor choice he made by lying. Leave him at home next time! You need to whip his ### with the belt, and take ALL his toys away for a while. Thats probably what started this mess...You cower and cater to this kid, and parents are too afraid to discipline their kids anymore out of fear that they will be reported to CPS. "Well, kid, you know what? LIFE isnt fair, and that is just the way it is, so deal with it!"

Maybe they really wanted to be sure that THEEE child was returned to the right owners? Lots of liability on Wal-Mart IF they had given the child to anyone. Sounds like the kid needs to have his ### whipped for being such a little snot just cause you wouldnt buy him a new toy! I woulda let him stay there and learn his lesson! As far as Wal-Mart making the call on turning him over to just anyone, in this day and age, ANYONE could have tried to take him, then Wal-Mart would never hear the end of it.

WOW - the nerve on some people! Lady you should be thanking them instead of bashing them.
I guess you would've prefered for them to hand out your child to just anyone.

To BESC, there are federal laws about mail order concerning prompt shipment and notification and refunds if there is a problem. I dont know if that company is in the US though. Most credit card co's have a "recourse" dept. and they can just debit their account after you jump through their hoops! good luck.

Eurobolic.com should be prosecuted. They are completely dishonest. I ordered merchandise on 05/22/11 Money was drawn immediatelly. Merchandise has not been received. The customer service is less than helpful. They refused to give out any information about Eurobolic.com "company". They did not even want to provide the address of the "company". Last two months couldn't contact them through email. Utter ignorance and 4 months without merchandise.

There has to be a legal way to take action and/or stop this "company" from "doing business. I really wish I had read these reviews before I foolishly ordered from Eurobolic.com.

Or could it be that people really are as stupid as they seem? @my child almost kidnapped: WATCH YOUR ###ING KID and you have no grounds to be upset with the way Wal-Mart handled the situation. @Gino: Excellent work. @Everyone else: Remember-DON'T FEED THE TROLLS

I have no sympathy for you. You transformed an inconvenient experience into an embarrassment and you interpret your subsequent illegitimate anger as cause for complaint.
Your grasp of common sense and reasonable behaviour have been inherited by your child.
Is this a four year old that takes advantage of their parents artificial restraint when defied in public? The next time your child gets lost-- please--do nothing to correct the situation; it will enhance the probability your genetic impression on humanity will be obliterated within the confines of this generation.
Everyone hates 4 year old's that demand something they see in a retail store and go on to complain about a refusal loudly and without regard for the peace of others---a mirror re-enactment of your behaviour at Customer Service.

Sorry Gino and Zachary that I didn"t keep up over the weekend. Darn, the spelling of congratulations got past me! I did win a spelling contest in college and and got a perfect score on the test for Mensa but that doesn't excuse a typo.! Gino's completely negative comments deserved the "stupid" moniker and I stand by it, you little spoiled BRAT. Zachary, I wasn't referring to every comment previously, just the uncalled for rudeness ones. I'm done with this so best wishes to everyone and I promise I'll proofread a little better in the future. Walmart code adam

First of all I will be honest with you straight forward. I admit I asked my two children 2 female and 9 female to hide in the washroom. Then I went up and told the customer service desk person my children were lost while my older mother stole items in the store. However this is not the issue. The issue is that they had two security guards and one of them was too busy watching my mother than looking for the child when a code Adam was paged. When a code Adam is paged the first priority is to look for the lost child. They said I have done this at least five times(asked my children to hide and have a code Adam paged) lie, I only did it three times. A child's safety should come before arresting a shoplifter. Now I can possibly lose both my children and my husband may get custody of them and not allow me near them because I am a bad influence.

Anyways what I am trying to say is Zachary, the fact that she is committing a crime in front of her kids and teaching them how to steal is enough to have her children taken away. She is leading her child to become bad citizens instead of law abiding citizens and those children need a good role model if this story is true. It could be true because there have been cases where parents do this kind of thing. In some cases they don't even have a child. They then claim they forgot they left the child with the spouse.

Actually even if the kids were with another adult and kept safe she still would lose her kids. Parents who commit crimes in front of their kids teach them it is acceptable. Same thing with parents who make their kids steal. At the wal-mart i work at a mother was switching prices, to get an item cheaper and use the scanning code of practice law. The child was just seven. She not knowing the mother was doing something illegal told the cashier that her mother switched the prices and should get the item cheaper. The mother immediately turned and said the child switched the tags. Then she tried to get it cheaper at another register telling the child to shut up or she would slap her in the face, and told her if she had to pay full price for the item she would beat her with a belt when she got home. The mother did not get it for the reduced price and someone reported that they saw the same mother pulling the child's hair and punching her several times in the head. Than the child was left in the parking lot and the person who brought her in(luckily someone good saw her alone) asked for the police to be called because when she left the child in the parking lot she told her that she hopes someone rapes her and kills her. She threatened to have a man pay to do sexual things to her. That child was removed from her home, and one of the biggest concerns was not about the beating but the fact the mother was teaching this child to steal, cheat and commit fraud.

I also think this is a troll post, but the sad thing is there are parents who actually "lose" their kids. While everyone is busy searching for the "lost" child they are stealing. We had a mother or someone claim her eight year old son was lost. They paged a code Adam, and in turn the child was never in the store. Don't know if she was stealing, but on at times parents or people do report a fake lost child, and in some cases "lose" their kids on purpose.

Walmart checkout

I get off work late some nights but somehow always when I go to Walmart its maybe 8pm at the latest when there is only 2-3 lines for checkout open and there are 50+ customers with pull carts waiting. And it takes me 10 min at most to get what I need and it takes like an hour to get checked out. I have to always complain to management about the problem and they just blow it off and say its being taken care of. Which it never does. It's not a once in a while thing its every night. I now avoid spending money there unless I absolutely have to. I would like to get in and get out not waste my time when I've been at work all day.

Walmart very poor customer service

I ordered a mattress online from walmart.com on august 18, 2011. Received an email that my order had been processed and shipped on august 19, 2011 with an expected delivery of august 23-29, 2011. Was given the fed ex tracking number and on august 25th noticed that fedex tracking status was still reading "initiated", just as it was on the 19th. Contacted fedex and they emphatically stated that "while the shipper has generated a label for this package, it has not been tendered to fedex for delivery" this is an exact quote. Contacted walmart three times to let them know there has been a mistake made at walmart and it needed correcting. The reply - wait until the 29th and if it does not come then contact us again. So this is the 26th of august, a friday, and they could not see that it was no way it could be delivered, if it has not been picked up, but they want me to wait on hold for an hour (Again) to speak to a representative in three days to say I have not received my delivery. And this was said by a supervisor. I will tell you that for a company of this stature to hire people who cannot process their own ignorance and sloppy service any better than this, is there no wonder why jobs are continuing to go overseas? This is a sad state when customer service benefits the employees and not the ones who are the customers! 1

You have just recently took out the McDonald's out of the Ormond Store and the greeters Why. You do not have people in the stores in their respective departments to help you. But you took out the one thing that families and kids like when they come to Walmart and that is McDonalds. The greeters were a help because they helped you when you entered the store to be able to find things.
What were you thinking? Are you trying to discourage the public to not shop there and go other places? If you would like to respond to my questions please send to my email cdooley6544@gmail.com

Walmart beware medication shoppers

Walmart pharmacies are the worst in the world from their techs to their pharmacists. They could care less about you the customer and don't much care if you get the right meds or any meds at all. They loose refills orders, tell the customer lies about this and are in general useless. Very frequently the computer is down at their store so I used a check to pay for order. The pharmacy computer would not finish the order and I was asked to use the regulat register in front. I was told that the transaction started was voided. I checked out at the front and didn't notice that there was .97 cents difference but didn't care. I was thankful to get my meds.(How pathetic) Walmart sent both transactions through my financial institution who cleared the same number check twice. After a couple back and forth check transfers, I talked with the bank who said they would place a stop paymant on the check and this should stop the insanity. Today I eas awakened at 8:00 A.M. by a collection agency demanding payment. I give up and will let my attorney handle this. Don't think you are saving any money with this place !

The WalMart Pharmacy in Pueblo West Colorado has gone from acceptable to horrible. Techs are rude and they couldn't care less about you or your perscriptions. They tell you your perscription will be ready in 45 minutes but 24 hours later they tell you it will be another 45 minutes. Too bad no one is held accountable for such horrible service. They constantly make mistakes but never offer any explanation or even an appology.
WalMart should be ashamed of this level of service.

Walmart mac and cheese cost me close to $300

You are not misreading the title my meal really cost me $300, not $3.00 let me tell you the funny story about how this came about.

My two oldest kids were with my ex husband and his stupid wife. I only had my two youngest boys with me whom I had with my current husband. He was working late because he does shift work and I was by myself with my six and eleven year old sons. I only had a salad in the fridge and it was already getting late. I was in a rush I took them along with me and I was only going to be a few minutes, so I parked in the parking spot for the handicapped. I only expected this to be five minutes or so. It took a total of 15 minutes, when I went back my car was toed because some idiot reported me to the customer service desk and they called the toeing company. My car was toed and along with that I had t pay a fine for parking in the handicapped parking spot. The idiot who reported me did not even need the space and they would not tell me what the idiot who reported me looked like. No one even needed that #ing parking space. I have been a very royal customer for 20 years and I have informed my 16 year old daughter and 14 yer old son not to do their shopping there telling them if they go shopping there I will have nothing to do with them and they can stay with their father for the rest of their lives and are nt welcome to my home. I will never return to your store again. This is the first time I parked here, and this was because I was in a hurry and the closest non handicapped parking spot was further away. I feel I should be repaid for the parking ticket, toeing fee. To top it off I had to call a taxi to take me home, along with taxi, the toeing fee, and the ticket a three simple mac and cheese meals which should cost $1.5o at 5o cents each ended up costing me nearly $300

I just can't stand how rude people are. Rhineheart, I bet the reason your child needs wheelchair is because you were drinking when you were pregnant, or because you abused her so badly that you crippled. Would not be surprised if this were the case with your rude attitude. Perhaps you got so angry and shook her when she was a baby and she was born healthy?

Update by DOLLAR GENERAL STORE

It does not matter if the handicapped person wanted the parking spot. I was there first, and these things are first come first serve usually. To be honest the fact that they have their own parking spot is discrimination against the non handicapped.

Walmart will cause the downfall of america. It is the bargain hunters that will except sub-par goods from almost exclusively chinese manufacturers that cause the massive trade deficite in america (by volume, not dollar). I have a very big moral problem with walmart and everything they stand for. (falling prices? material cost increase steadily year on year). Disgusting.

Walmart sexual harrasment

I have several times been in this store on Gilmer Rd. in Longview, TX.,

and the same woman?, has said very graphic & disgusting things to me (it's like she's flirting, but worse) I am very atheletic, but in NO way am I a lesbian. This was the last straw, when my 12 year old son overheard her. He was very upset, and I just left the store. I like going to that location because it's close to my job. But now, I'm too afraid to go back. The last couple of times, I got her first name, Her name is Stacey, and she's usually in the meat department, all though it's only been for a little while that she has been ther, I've gone to this store for several years and didn't see her there until here recently. I uasally try to ignore things like this but my son is very upset and afraid.

Please put a leash on that one, so I don't have to go to Brookshires

Walmart poor management

The manager at the Walmart Supercenter #1130 in Laurens, South Carolina is a piece of work. I have relataives who work there, and I am employed at a Walmart located in the Greenville area. My brother-in-law manages a Walmart in another state. We are all very aware of the actions of Barbara, the Laurens Walmart manager. Anyone who makes any type of complaint about walmart #1130 had better watch out! Barbara Honn copies their pictures from the security camera and sends them to walmarts all over the country, and to other businesses as well. She makes cruel accusations about the customers who made complaints, especially concerning returned items, and customers who complain about being treated badly by walmart associates. The manager of the walmart where I work is appalled by this. My brother-in-law says she is sabotaging Walmart's reputation, and risking legal actions to be taken aganist walmart.

My son 12 was caught stealing from your store. I asked the security guard to handcuff him and gave him permission to spank him, and he told me that they do not handcuff children under the age of 13 if they are cooperating, they only handcuff them if they are fighting. They also told me they could not spank my son as they are not allowed to use physical force on the person they stopped. My son has reciently been causing trouble. He got suspended from school for fighting. He does not listen to me. Perhaps if this security guard did nothing to let my son know that he did wrong. I think if a parent give permission to handcuff and spank their child they should comply. He is also a bad influence on my younger son who is nine and now my nine year old is starting to act up. He is the oldest of three children. ( I have a five year old daughter as well.) I think that if the security gurd was mour tough with him that he would see that it is not only I who finds his behavior unacceptable.

Before you all judge me you should know where I am coming from. I am a single parent. When my youngest daughter was 14 months old my ex shook her and nearly killed her all because she would not stop crying. She is now paralized and seveurly brain damaged. My two older boys have witnessed him hitting me only saw violence in their home. Utah was eight at this time and Tyler was 5. All they saw was violence in the house. So that is all they know. Since Utah was eight I have been having problems. The father was never charged because he pleaded insanity.

I don't want them thinking this is an okay way for men to behave based on their role model. Half the behavior is coming from what they witnessed. So before you people judge try to know the whole story okay.

Thanks
I have been working with the school to try and get both these boys help.

Its not the security guard that should be disciplining this child. Its the parent. I think spanking a child for shoplifting is a good idea. However, the parents need to be the ones to do it. When I got this child home, I would first make them write a letter of apology to the store manager. Than I would assign some chores for them to do to pay for the value of what they stole. Lastly, I would give them an old fashioned, over the knee, spanking probably with his pants pulled down for this behavior.

I hope you are not talking about the OP AerosmithandQueen. Spanking(though I don't believe in it myself) is not physical abuse. Now if you were mistaken by the father he physically abused those kids. That being said, the whole family needs to go to councelling together to erase the past history of abuse. That was tramatic for them.

js.
There is a difference between spanking and beating a child. Spanking would not be considered abusive or violent. Though only a parent and close family member should spank their child. The whole thing about her expecting him to spank her child is ridiculous. At the least they sometimes handcuff the child if the parent gives them permission to give the child a scare. They are allowed to lecture, and yell at the child not spank them.

I don't feel sorry for his family. His mother keeps making excuses for his behavior. His other letter got deleted, but two years ago he was shoplifting from Wal-mart. What does his mother do, she goes out the next day and buys the items he stole and gives them to him.

Walmart poor customer service

I used the Vincennes, IN Walmart service desk to send a 10 minute money gram to another state. I paid $34.50 fee for the service and they sent it to the wrong state. After an hour on the phone, they corrected it, but refused to return the fee and told me to call money gram. Of course money gram also refused a refund. Even though Walmart admitted it was their mistake, they said that they are not liable. This particular store is so mismanaged and the employees are so rude and incompetent that they are the town joke. PLEASE TARGET, SET UP IN VINCENNES! I Have to drive over an hour to get to a decent store!

Two things addamp. First, I am white, that is true. I'm straight, married, and don't have children. I'm actually Canadian, but do live in the United States.

Second, thank you for proving my point further with your latest post. I will take back my comment regarding your lack of education. It is clearly your attitude and anger that has held you back.

Walmart pets

I, for the second time entered the Wal-Mart located in Clarksville Indiana to see the newly installed pet section. I and my family are avid animal lovers and have recently caught the tropical and saltwater fish bug. For the second time at this store I became mad and appalled at what I saw, downright neglect and animal cruelty taking place. The first time I asked for the manager and a sales person in the pet department asked if she could help. I told her about the Betta fish condition and asked if she could put more water in their containers. What I got was an attitude as she reluctantly did what I asked. One Month later I return to see even more horrible conditions as I counted 17 dead fish and by the looks of it, more soon would be following. The Betta’s were again struggling to stay upright because of the minimal amount of water in their containers.
I understand Wal-Mart is about providing a service in order to make a profit but if they can’t train their people to take care of a living, breathing thing, then STOP SELLING FISH. Wal-Mart is a disgrace to the fish business and I can only pray they stop selling them. They have once again disappointed me but have now gone a step further by torturing God’s creatures, shame on you. I am a small fish in a big pond but I will be one of the people that doesn’t just talk about doing something I will do it. I WILL NEVER and I mean NEVER by anything from Wal-Mart again. I will however continue to go to that store and voice my concern to the manager as I’m sure NOTHING WILL CHANGE. Wal-Mart lost another customer for life. Someone most speak for the creatures that have no voice.

That’s what’s great about our country; we all have freedom of speech and freedom to have opinions. Why I respect your comments it was when you called me ignorant for not knowing about betta’s that I said what I did and proved that I do in fact know more than most. Anyway, everyone can bash me all they wish but I do in fact love all animals both big and small. I do more than just talk the talk I actually walk the walk. I have adopted and raised 10 cats that people just abandoned as well as two dogs. I have 12 fish tanks (125 salt water, 115 salt water, 90 bow front salt water, 65 bow front salt water, 125 fresh water, 55 fresh water, 30 gallon fire bellied toads, 2- 10 gallon salt water, 8 gallon African dwarf frog, 10 gallon betta and a 10 gallon crawfish). So everyone can laugh about my love for animals and how I believe they are important to God as he created them before humans so they should be important to us humans. I think they do have feelings and are more intelligent than some humans so laugh all you want but at the end of the day I make a difference, can you all say the same?

I’m sure he lived just a great life; you might as well have just left him in the rice patty fields. At least there he didn’t suffer in a soup bowl. Hell, buy another one and stick him in a coke can, nah he would probably, ever so slightly, prefer the soup bowl or even Wal-Mart at that; which is sad.

Update by miamiscott

For you with the name whythelongfaces. I know idiot, all about bettas.I know that they live in rice patties in Thailand and other parts of Asia. Most people think of the two to three inches of water they live in and think that’s that. But idiots like you grossly underestimate the diverse ecosystem that consists in those two to three inches of water, which is actually a part of a very large body of water. Nature takes care of its creations and all we can do is try to replicate nature the best we can. But putting them in freaking shot glass like Wal-Mart and other stores do is not even close to nature’s idea. Even though you've probably seen bettas kept in small containers of water, please don't do this. Your Betta will not thrive. The minimum size should be a standard goldfish bowl. 2 to 5 gallon tanks are even better. Betta’s can survive in a tiny store cup but they cannot thrive there, so the ignorant or inhuman one here is you. A human being can survive in a cardboard box but the question is would they thrive. You are probably one of Wal-Mart’s employees and if so, stop being lazy and change the water in your fish tanks and just for shi-s and giggles, get the dead ones out you ###.

Walmart jewelry kiosk

I was at the Jewelry department wanting to purchase a set of lip rings. After standing around for about 5 minutes waiting for someone to come do their job, my boyfriend went and told someone at the customer service center. According to them, they had paged a jewelry employee to come assist us. 20 minutes later and we're still standing there waiting. I even rung the bell. When we finally approached another Wal-Mart employee to assist us (we had to go to them, nobody came to us asking if we needed help) they barely said two words to us, but did page whoever was supposed to be in the jewelry apartment. Another 15 minutes and STILL no one came to help. We ended up just leaving, without our $100 worth of groceries. Wal-Mart has consistently horrible service and this could very well be the straw that breaks us. We won't be returning to our Wal-Mart again and will instead be shopping at Kroger.

Walmart is a multinational retail corporation that operates a chain of hypermarkets, discount department stores, and grocery stores. The company was founded in 1962 by Sam Walton and has since grown to become one of the largest retailers in the world. Walmart's headquarters are located in Bentonville, Arkansas, and the company has over 11,000 stores in 27 countries worldwide.

Walmart is known for its low prices and wide selection of products. The company offers a variety of goods, including groceries, clothing, electronics, home goods, and more. Walmart's online store, walmart.com, allows customers to shop for products from the comfort of their own homes and have them delivered directly to their doorstep.

In addition to its retail operations, Walmart is also involved in a number of philanthropic efforts. The company has donated millions of dollars to various charitable organizations and has launched initiatives to support education, hunger relief, and sustainability.

Walmart has faced criticism in the past for its labor practices and impact on small businesses. However, the company has taken steps to improve its image and has implemented policies to increase wages and benefits for its employees.

Overall, Walmart is a major player in the retail industry and continues to expand its reach both in-store and online. With its focus on low prices and customer convenience, the company is likely to remain a popular shopping destination for years to come.
