Walmart thin oil/ruined engine

Just to add to complaints of others. Took my truck in just 328 miles shy of 3, 000 oil change in prep for a road trip. Manager asked why I wanted high mileage oil if there were no leaks? I advised I had a little start up clatter of lifters that lasted no more than 3-5 seconds at start up. (Hemi 5.7 w/93, 000 miles at time of oil change). Manager indicated I should save $10 and get regular oil change - but add a bottle of Lucas Oil additive. No Lucas on shelf - out of stock - but he said Marvel Mystery Oil was similar and would quiet the start up clatter. This on April 8, 2011. Today is now July 22 and still have truck sitting. WalMart - (according to an oil pit video ?) did nothing wrong. Got in the truck, drove just shy of 20 miles and had more clatter, loss of power, and parked until my private mechanic could view/listen. He advised to "tow - not drive" to his shop. Had independent oil analysis performed and oil viscosity was so thin they couldn't get a reading. My mechanic thought Wal Mart may have grabbed the wrong hanging filler and used some trans fluid (very high detergent) and it thinned the oil. When claim was rejected by Wal Mart Claims contractor, I advised I would wait for them to send their own inspector, since they told me "No reimbursement" for tear down to see what happened. YET - Wal Mart needed a cost in order to process claim. A "re-manufactured" long block engine, oil, coolant and labor to swap engine and some parts from old to new and estimate came in at around $6, 000 with labor rate at $90/hr. When submitted as "worst case", Claims denied the claim - based only on the "supposed" video from the pit.

A second woman from Walmart's Claims suggested they would forward claim to Marvel Mystery Oil (aka Turtle Wax). I advised my oil change contract was with Wal Mart - not Turtle Wax - but approved the forwarding of claim and reconfirmed no work would be done until Turtle Wax sent their own technician to work with mine to determine problem. Turtle Wax asked for another oil sample which I provided and submitted to a Chicago oil analysis lab. Again it was confirmed oil was too thin of viscosity for either a 5W 20 or 5W 30 oil. I asked for copy of the report, but Turtle Wax claimed it was proprietary work product. I reminded them there was no work product until I provided the oil sample. Obviously they also denied the claim.

So here I am - and finally asked my local mechanic to proceed with engine or replacement - taking photos as work begins and listing all steps to be taken to determine why oil was so thin after just 20 miles, it wouldn't even stick to the side of a plastic bottle - although brand new 5W 20 did. They also had the "balls" to ask what my next move would be so they could discuss with their legal counsel. " Sure - I will tell you everything I'm going to do - NOT !"

So 3 months of no truck, 20 miles after the oil change, no rented vehicle, no technician sent by either Wal Mart or Turtle Wax, and a claim denied based on an oil analysis and a video tape they won''t let me see or provide. Seeing as I was willing to allow them to see and tear-down the engine by someone "THEY" chose and they declined - it may be time for a small claims action on my part. And once filed, there will be a requirement for disclosure of video and analysis. My guess is that the manager "forgot' to tell me to flush the oil additive after a few miles and refill with oil without the thinner additive in it... even though I did ask. Even if the Courts decide in the favor of Wal Mart, at least the problem and resulting lack of action is duly noted. Perhaps it will help someone else in the same situation. I'm ready "play" the game and I KNOW I am less costly than their attorneys

Walmart didn't get items bought have to go back to same wal-mart that is over 30 min. away'

I went to Mt.Vernon, IL Wal-Mart today and got some things, when I got home I found I hadn't received all my items that I had bought. So I called and they said yes the items were still at the check-out. I ask if I could go to Salem, IL Wal-mart and get a refund. They said NO I had to come mto Mt.Vernon. Salem is 10 min away Mt.Vernon is over 30, so here I go having to drive 3 times as far to get my money. WHAT A JOKE! I am going to try to shop elsewhere instead of WAL-MART!

why not just go to the one in Salem to begin with, if it's so much closer? Then, there wouldn't be such an issue if items get forgotten.

I am boycotting Walmart after a horrible experience. We go through coupons, ads and make a list of what we want. Get to checkout, tell cashier "We have coupons and are matching" Shes like "well i need to see the ads" A customer from the next checkout was like "Oh I do couponing also, your store policy says you don't need to show the ad" My cashier rolls her...

Walmart beware of the walmart discover card

I entered into an agreement to sell 2 timeshares with this m services group in late 2010. There fee was $199.00 up front and once the timeshares were sold they also wanted 10% of the commission of the selling price. Also, in there contract, if the timeshare were not sold within 6 months, I would get a full $199.00 refund.
Well, 45 days before the 6 months were up, I attempted to contact my rep. The phone number was no longer in service!
To make matters worse. I contacted walmart discover to get a refund on march 15th, 2011 to dispute the charge. I faxed the paperwork back to them along with my contract info within 48 hours.
On 4/27/2011, I contacted walmart discover. I found out that they closed my case since I didn't submit the info they requested. However, the customer serive rep did see that all info was received and shown online. I requested from the customer service rep that I be connected to a supervisor, his name was – simon, in dayton, oh ext-43478. I was assured that this would be taken care of asap.
I explained to these rectums that if you call the toll free number to the company I delt with, it is no longer in service... That of course isn't good enough! I suppose they must sit on their fat # until you just quit bothering them.
On 6/25/11 (Friday), I again contacted walmart discover and of course my $199.00 wasn't credited to my account. That same day, I talked to the manager of this "simon" and he assured me that one way or the other it would be taken care of within the next few days (Since people were out monday and it should be rectified by wednesday at the latest).
I forgot about things since I was going on vacation friday, july 1 - 8, 2011. I came back to an answering machine that a woman from walmart discover stated they were onpening my case for review effective july1, 2011 and that I should be hearing from them within 30 to 60 days.

Beware: it is my recommendation that you never open a "ge walmart discover card" as you are looking for hassles
For that matter if it say "ge application for any credit card" do waste your time - run!
Clarification: the regular discover card does fight your disputes but according to discover card they do not deal with walmart discover.

Walmart employees need to be informed about how to cash a america express travelers cheque

I was shopping in Calais Maine, just last week. I am a Canadian from Halifax Nova Scotia. I asked the cashier if Walmart took a America Express travellers cheque and she stated that she did indeed. I signed and dated the cheque in front of her and gave her my passport as proof of you I was. The cheque was not accepted by the machine. She in turn went to the supervisor and together they did not know the procedure for cashing the travellers cheque. Since it was close to closing time I paid cash and left the store. I went back to the Customers Service desk the next day in hope that one of the staff members would know to process my travellers cheque as I had already signed it and could not use for another store. I was made to wait 45 minutes and believe it not not even the Manager Lynn could help me. I think something should be done in trying to educate these employees of Walmart in this process of handling customers and the procedure for cashing travellers cheques. I can see the future and if my $50.00 could not be handled properly I imagine there could be alot of other people who would come of this Walmart unhappy.

That's not right. They should have done everything they could to process the check. If they claim to accept them, then they should have figured out how to do it. If that means calling the head office or a manager who has the day off, then so be it. I've had run-ins with clueless Calais Wal-mart employees before - the least they could do is get somebody who can help you.

First, I am sure they are not worried about losing the one or two customers a day who still use Travelers Cheques.

Second, the machine denied the check not the person, sounds like they made it pretty clear they don’t want your cheque

Walmart cashier

I went to Walm-mart, got over 107.00 worth of stuff, mostly party things. I had to stand in line for over 45 minute that day and only 3 peoples ahead of me. Bad enough store was warm, I know cashiers were hot. Well this lady I didn't see her name tag, She had brace on her left hand, and dirty looking as far as I'm concern, she was talking to a customer ahead of 2 ladies in front of me, while ringeing her up taken her time, so she could talk to her. If she hurting then she has no business working if can't be letter fast, she was even slow ringing me up and we weren't talking only hello how are and have nice evening. Here Ref # [protected] don't know how to give cashier name if don't have one.

So, what you are saying is that she was ringing people up slowly while talking and while not talking? Maybe that means that she was unable to go any quicker. With regards to the other part of your complaint, she is working while injured perhaps because she has no choice; short staffedness or money problems

Walmart mean rude employees

wal-mart is the absolute worst place to work. the employees there aer rude mean spiteful bad weird people. a lot of walmarts just seem to employ trashy low class pitiful idiots with bad attitudes. while they will go out of their way to help out customers they refuse to help out employees or those working there for others. They are mean spiteful horrible. Their managers too are abusive and rude to others for no reason as are the pitiful disgusting idiots that work there. Me and a friend of mine worked for a wireless phone company in walmart and we got treated like crap. We still get treated like crap by the ### employees there. They think that cuz we're in their store we have to kiss their a**es and suck up to their nasty stupid selves. the managers are mean and the workers there are just downright [censored]. also the customers at walmart are pretty horrible too and lots of white trash and trash go shopping there and they too are just rude. overall walmart is a really bad place to work and be and people should beware before working there or having to do anythign with that craphole.

Guess what? It's not the store's fault that you couldn't be bothered to quarantine your stock beforehand. I have serious doubts that your 'hardy' goldfish were happy and healthy in the first place if you're so ignorant that you saw no problem sticking a pecostomus (tropical species, as everyone else has mentioned) in with cold-water fish, I have to wonder just what your water parameters were, the size of your tank, how your biological filtration was holding up, et cetera.

Walmart over processed hair - fried it!

It was the evening before Easter. I went in to Smart Styles in Walmart on Central Ave to get my roots touched up (blonde). My roots were grown out about 3/4 of an inch. My hair is a light beige blonde. I informed the stylist that my hair tends to pull red tones to please be very carefull. About thirty minutes later my eleven year daughter started saying "MOM" in a very alarming way and hitting me on the leg. The stylist then suddenly said " it's okay I'm going to fix it". I leaned up in the mirror and my hair was as orange as Ronald McDonald's. The stylist then slapped some product on my hair. She left it there a few minutes then my daughter said " mom your hair is purple" . The stylist said "oh yea I have to put this in with it. Then put something else in my hair. At that point my head started burning so bad it felt like it was on fire. I told her she had to take the stuff off my head now. She kept telling me " just a few more minutes" . But I said no you need to get this stuff off now! When she was done rinsing my hair it was back to ORANGE and my head was BURNED. She kept telling me please don't sue me, please don't sue me. My head hurt so bad I just wanted to get out of there. She sent me off with a tube of conditioner and said there would be no charge and to come back and she would fix it. As if I would really go back! My scalp had scabs over my entire head. Needless to say my hair has been breaking ever since/ It broke off a lot at first/ Then I went in for a good cut. They had to cut off a lot. But it's still breaking. She really did a number on my hair! I guess I'm going to have to get a few more inches cut off . Sincerely, Devasted - Hot Springs, AR Bree - [protected]@yahoo.com

Walmart unable to activate card

I purchased a Walmart money card because my credit card information was stolen and use I had to cancel the card and while waiting for my new card purchased or so I thought a money card at walmart and put $225.00 dollars on it I went home called the customer service activation number only to be told my information did not match their data base.Well I know my name as well as my dob and home address and phone number so to be told my name was Ms Flemming and I did not live at my address was a shock...I explained I had NEVER purchased a card before. and my information was used for payroll tax returns ect...and their response was that my information did not belong to me...so I'm not sure what data base they use-used or input my information to but it does not match the Equifax-or any of them because I checked and my information is listed to me...Now as I wait for a refund (not really counting on getting one back) I warn you do not use or purchase the Walmart Money Card...because you will be without your card or money 10 days is a long time to go without knowing how you will eat or buy gas and starting to question if I am really me or Ms Flemming.

Walmart family mobile

I went to Walmart to inquire about their Family mobile plan. We were on T-mobile pre-paid plan with a limit of 1500 minutes or texts plan and found that certain lines were using up the alotted minutes. After reviewing pricing, Family Mobile was a better deal with unlimited txt and calls for a few dollars more than the pre-paid. Now pre-paid plans, one only pays sales tax on the reload of minutes. I specifically inquired about any hidden and additional fees associated with Family Mobile and was told that it was only sales tax.
Get my first bill and find over $24 of additional taxes and fees in addition to my plan cost. Pre-paid would have been sales tax only of around $4.50. The people at Walmart are a bunch of untrained idiots and I fault Walmart for this. EDUCATE your employees Walmart. I will be pursuing this with my state and federal representatives. I am tired of employees making claims that are false and the consumer has no recourse. Stick with your pre-paid plans folks.

After viewing the FM TV ads, I decided to give it a try. When I got home, I had very poor reception (0 to 1 bars). It all went downhill after this. I was lied to by Walmart employees about the reception issue and was told I needed to upgrade to a 4G phone. (I later found out that the FM plan does not even support 4G.) FM customer service is horrible and I mean horrible. If you need to contact them, I hope you get a rep that can speak English. I only used FM for 6 weeks. What good is a cheap plan if you can't make and receive calls? I had to get a hold of a Walmart regional manager, because the local store manager was a joke. Since I had been lied to about needing a 4G phone, I got a total refund of the Optimus phone and my connection fee. I cancelled my account before the next billing cycle, but I now have received a bill saying that I owe a full payment. I have already read online info about this and I am being told that I will run into issues with this. I was told that I will not be able to make an in-store payment, but I will have to do it over the phone and have to pay an additional $5 fee. I suggest you stay with a reliable carrier. Cheap isn't always better.

Walmart rudeness

I went to your store and I was lining up when I realised I forgot to get something. So I got out of the line. When I went back in the line this person cut in front of me. I told her I was here before her and to get out of my way. They called security on me and the manager came over and took the other lady's side. Not only that, the other lady lied and said that if I had asked her nicely she would have let me in front. ###. She claimed I was rude. Well I have every right to be rude. First of all this lady is obviously lying, second I was in line first but the manager said since I got out of line that because I forgot something I had to get in the back of the line. I told her to shove it and told her I would never be returning. If she is going to side with a ### than she needs to be fired, a ### that lies on top of that. This was a second store, I had a problem with another branch last weei.

I just feel like the Wal-Mart experice is getting worse. People that I know have been there a long time could careless if they help a customer or not. You can tell when you ask for help. They don't look you in the eye if they respond at all! My Husband called this morning to see if the Item was in stock and they said yes no problem. So we got ready and went to the local store and went to electronics and 2 employees were standing there talking when we walked up. After they finished the conversation she ask us could she help and my husband said yes I called this morning and spoke to someone about a TomTom. She looked at the other employee and said did you talk to him. He say's no it wasn't me. Who Care's Who! Then she looked at my husband and says what kind. My Husband said I was told you only had one type of TomTom. She said well okay. Walks from behind the counter and goes to the case, and looks at him and says which one. There was only 1 Tom Tom XLT. There were other manufactur product but only one kind of Tom Tom. He told her 2 more times he wanted a TomTom and she finally got him one. Then she took it to the countner and started talking back to the other employee. She started ringing up his purchase and while she was waiting on us other customers are walking by and she starts a conversation with them. She say's real quick that will be $217.12 Thanks have a nice day! Short and snippy. This isn't the first time. I get so tire of their additude. I'm a paying customer. I think we each deserve better attitude or they should find a different job. JB

Well as you say so... you're a paying costumer... So if you continue to pay and everyone continue to give money in wal-mart, why will they change? We change from expensive and quality to cheaper and quantity... What to expect? Be angry and all but you're against a big organization there...

I'm in Canada and it's the samething. Their service is poor and I don't like wal-mart... So I DON'T go there... There thousands of little shops who TRY desperatly to SURVIVE. I buy less but I get more... So continue to buy in wal-mart you'll have big quantities of stuff... may be good quality... but humanly unkind. If we continue to pay in these store why will they need to change? If everybody boycots wal-mart... they will NEED to change... But nobody cares and continue to go there.

For wallmart, you are numbers who give them money in exchange of product and that's it. It's how the things work... Long life to our system.

And if a owner of wal-mart read this... I will say to them... We are human you know ? Not slaves who fill your pocket...

But that really what we are... for them I think...

Thierry

Walmart food poisoning

I went to WalMart to do some grocery shopping. It was Thursday evening and the the store was crowded. The next morning at breakfast I ate one of the Jell-O yogurts I had bought the night before. Around noon I started to get a little of an upset stomach. I had been working in the yard that morning and I thought I needed something to eat. I ate one of the Activia yogurts I had also bought the night before. That evening my world fell apart. I got so sick it was unreal. vomiting, diarrhea, sweats. everything. I went and laid down to wait on it to pass. After two days it wasn't getting better, I went to the E.R. They said I had food poisoning. When I got home I looked at everything I had eaten. But first, I did the grocery shopping on May 30. When I looked at the Jell-O container, it had expired on April 27, and the Activia expired on April29. Both had expired a full month ago and was still on the shelf, and I inadvertently eaten it. I called Wal Mart to talk to the store mgr. I immediately sensed he was unmoved and apathetic to my situation, because after I told him what happened, yogurt, food poision, hospital...he was silent for a few seconds and then said 'OK, I am not sure what you want me to do.' I said, 'Sir, if you are not sure what to do, I am confident I can find an attorney who does.' He then took down my basic info, then he seem surprised that I still had my receipt and the containers the yogurts came in. He wanted me to bring both in to the store for them to get copies. The next day a lady from claims called and wanted me to fax in my medical bills. She said this will be taken care of immediately. Well, three weeks have passe and I have heard nothing from Wal Mart. I called the Claims Office a couple times and the extension to the lady that called me always went to voice mail. The third time I called I left a message and said that I do not intend to play phone tag and the waiting game, and that I am not trying to get rich here, I am just wanting the hospital bill paid before it goes to collections... a week later I have not been called back. I went and paid the bill so my credit would not be affected. The name of the company is Claims Management Inc. I am not sure if they are affiliated with Wal Mart or not.

Walmart collection

Approximately two days after the death of her husband of 57 years, my aunt (83 yrs old) cancelled the walmart credit card issued to her husband. The very next morning, (8:20 am) she received a call from ge collection agency and was told the balance of the card had been turned over to collection! The next day? My uncle was an airforce retired, americian service man with honors and the balance on the card was minimal. By trying to do what she thought was her responsibility in a timely manner added to the already overwhelming grief she was experienceing. I think this is a very tacky way of doing business! All that should have been done was to send the bill as usual and it would have been paid as usual. There will be no more need for a walmart card for her or any of my family. The procedure for cancellation of the card should have not have led to this.

Walmart horrible day.

Your stores hires ###s with down syndrome and other disabilities. I am sick and tired of having to deal with incompetient people with disabilities.

Today one of your employees told my husband and I that I could not bring my dog in the store. I asked her why not and she made up some stupid lie about it being health regulations. Whatever my husband had to wait outside with the dog.

Then I had to wait an hour for someone to help me. There was this child who purposely got in my way. He must have been two years old. I told his mother to get her child out of my way or I would kick him in the head. She then threatened me and the employees broke up the fight and did not take my side.

Then I made a complaint about how the store hires disabled people to the manager and how incompeint they are when they work and she told me that I had to respect the employees or get out of the store. I told her I was waiting a minute and even got my husband to verify it. Instead of verifying it my husband said I only waited ten minutes. I told the chicken employee who reported me that we will settle this in the parking lot so there would be on no one to smack this disabled ### and I was being watched obviously by their undercover security guard. The undercover security guard did nothing about the 10 year old boy who was staring at me. I asked him what the ### he was looking at and he said nothing. Then I threatened to slap him because he kept insisting he was not staring at me. He was about to hit me with something(which the manager claimed was self defence) I did not lay a finger on him. I wanted to and would have if the stupid ### manager did not come in right that minute. That kid deserves to be beaten and killed. My husband who saw the incident fron outside told me I was being rude and I told him to keep his mouth shut or I would report to the police that he hit me and make sure that he never sees our ten year old daughter again. We fought on the way home and he had to stop several times because he claimed that I was preventing him from driving safely. Then my daughter pulled my last string and I started hitting her and left a mark on her face while my husband was in the shower. I took a picture of what I did to her to show the manager that this is how angry the employees made me and my husband got mad at me and told me to leave the house. I refused to leave, and he threatened to call the police no me.

I suffer from depression and am bipolar and none of this would have happened if my husband was allowed in the store, he would have calmed me down. Also the manager treated me like a child. When I told her that you employ ###s and ### who won't let me bring my dog in she told me I have to be respectful. I told her that her employees are paid to hear complaints and if they don't like it they should quit. She treated me like I as my daughter's age and told me I could not attack her employees and have to show respect and not use proper languge and disabled people are allowed to work as well.

Of course my husband did not hit me. I only threatened to say he did. Stupid kid, usually police side with women, especially male police officers. Anyways this goes for you and everyone else don't reply to my letter anymore. I only said that my husband would have hit me to get him in trouble for not supporting me. First he said we waited only 10 minutes then he said that I was rude. Anyways of course you did not threaten me I only posted that to make you look like a coward and to make you look bad.

Considering the amount of serious replies to this complaint, I would say the troll was rather effective.

So very true, 3 pages later and people are still responding to what is obviously a post meant to inflame the same culprits into an argument, so i would agree with TLF V. The troll did good XD

"You take things too seriously sometimes ellen." 4 days ago by ellen67

I do NOT believe this to be a case of 'trolling'. The above comment by ellen67 seems to be directly aimed at the malfunctioning Wal-Mart patron. Because the author's comment seems aimed directly to this troubled being and the troubled being's response back, which is pasted below, I have reason to believe they may know each other. Or they know of each other somehow. ellen67 makes her response clear and concise without any knee-jerk reaction or emotional distress. It's like she totally knows the woman is insane, but is aware that there is not much anyone could do to help. Maybe this is due to the woman being very narcissistic or possibly psychologically evil. What made my skin crawl was Mrs Wal-Mart's response! She replies, "Yes, I guess I do. But it usually serves me well." Taken at face value, this reply is twisted and sick enough. But if you break it down and look at her reply esoterically, it becomes extremely disturbing. Not only does she confess and admit guilt about taking things too seriously, she then goes on to say that behaving this way usually helps her along and serves her well. She thinks this is serving Her well, but it is her that is serving IT well! She just can't wrap her mind around that concept. The way this comment should be interpreted is that she is someone who intentionally creates chaos because doing so provides her with power. People Of The Lie is a study of the psychology of evil. This psychological approach is very appropriate in this situation and has the best chance of improving her 'mental health. In the original post she claimed she suffers from depression and bi-polar disorder. I do not buy that at all. Her descriptions of her actions on that day are not symptoms of depression or being bi-polar. These are the actions and behavior of a woman who is very, very spiritually disturbed. To get through each day she has to constantly project the chaos and confusion inside of her onto others. I really feel bad for her child and husband. And until she gets some REAL help to start breaking through the walls of chaos, darkness & deception, she is a danger to her family and society. People like her are all around us and they are easy to identify. You will know them by their deeds. Sorry for the long post but I felt there was more going on than it appeared...

Okay we all have our fun online, and trolling is fun. Trolling is one thing, but telling 12 year old he needs to be murdered and calling disabled people ###s is going to far. Then again like someone else said you could be telling the truth. I have seen a lot of people take their anger out on their children or a defenceless child. The Wal-mart I work with two people were having an argument. One had a baby in a stroller. The other lady pushed the stroller which made the mother lash out at her. The lady that pushed the stroller too thought that the lady should get arrested for hitting her, but our manager said any parent including himself would do the same in that situation.

Walmart rude employees

I shop in Grove city, OH. Walmart every week usually in there every other day to pick something up. On Jan 2, 2011 I was checking out, the cashier was taking off my coupons, and she ask the girl that was over the cashiers, tried to say that I scannedmy coupons which i print off of the internet, I don, t even own a scanner and didn, t know what she was talking about I use printed coupons every week and nothing has been said, she really treated me like a criminal and told the manager that i was lying and I scanned them, I am a honest person that would nevr cheat or do anything like that, she really belittled me and embarrassed me in front of the customers, I reallt think Walmart needs to hire educated people that have a clue this isn, t the first time they have done something, there have been other issues. The employees there act like they hate their job, they are always complaining, give me an hour. the thing is after she made me wait for 20 minutes for another manager to look at the coupons the manager said they were ok, I think some of these people that are over the cashiers think they have some kind of college education and this is a power trip for them, they all need to take a class in how to be professional and maners.

Every Walmart I have been to in the past year has had the worst customer service. The employees are obviously dissatisfied with the moral because every time you hear them talking to one another they are complaining about never getting a break or working over. Of course not being treated properly makes them have a bad attitude towards customers. I don't know if the employees attitudes stem from being treated poorly by their employer of if there is that many rude individuals in the world.

Walmart employees have become increasingly rude and incompitent. The last time I shopped there was the last straw. I had waited in line at the register for about 15 minutes. When I was next in line, they closed the register and moved to another one. I was once again at the END of the line and had to wait another 20 minutes. I complained to the cashier and the manager. They did not care. They were rude and told me, "That's just the way things happen." I know they don't care, but I will never shop at that place again.

On 2-15-11a at830pm my daughter approached photo employee to recive baby articles sent from Marion OHIO.That emploee told her she needed her I.D. she went to get it from her car at 8:40 vanessa (daughter) returned to photo where that employer told her she could not help her because she left at 9:00. she would have to go to electronics where that employee told her she was the only one there and she would have to call someone to help her.Someone came after appox.10min.they then helped her but it took them 35min. to find her merchandise. This is unbelievable and she was treated so rude. She is pregnant and was very upset about this treatment. She and myself are very concerned because that is where she has her baby registry. Is this how her family and friends will be treated while they shop for Vanessa and her shower gifts? I hope this will be rectified we all shop Walmart alot but that could stop.

It seems any walmart anywhere will hire just about anyone. I tend to always get "sista" cashiers that automatically have a problem with me before I even open my mouth to say "Hello" to them. This occurs no matter where I go. Maybe I just seem to act like I'm better than them which offsets them. No clue. But it's the employees like that that make me go to the self check out lines. No having to hassle with rude employees thinking they're all that, slamming your stuff around and scoffing at you when you wish them a good day.

When Sam Walton was still alive and running the show, he had the policy that if there were more than 3 people waiting in line to check out, they would open another register; and it worked great. That man built the company on Customer Service, and knew that if you made the Customers happy, that would drive sales. He knew what he was doing, and that's why the company became such a success.
Now that he's gone, the people running the company are only concerned about maximizing profits, regardless of the Customers. And it shows!
Fortunately, I have been able to move on, going back to shopping where I used to shop - Target (wonderful Customer Service, clean stores, inventory-levels kept up, quiet), Petsmart, Kroger and Publix. I only shop at Walmart about once per week, instead of 2-4 times per week that I used to do. (I just feel bad for those who can't break away from Walmart's controlling grip, yet.)

As a former employee of Wal Mart, people who have to go retrieve either their wallet or ID from their vehicles typically don't come back. So it was reasonable for the employee your daughter encountered not to wait for her to come back. Maybe you should think that maybe your daughter is angry because she's pregnant and has a short fuse at the moment and it wasn't their fault, but hers for coming in unprepared.

Nothing about that sounds rude. Who goes to pick up a package without id... then complains cause the employee didnt wait for you to show back up. Your daughter was directed where to go to get the help she needed and sounds like she left with her items, so what if she has to wait a bit & it didnt happen on your timetable. Ever think someone who knew nothing about it was searching the warehouse to find them and that is why it took time? Impatient people piss me off.

And why would you go to photo to pick up baby items and if your so concerned then unregister and go to target. Their warehouse is just as large.

WalMart does suck when it comes to customer service. All of their registers are on timers/computer systems. So if the timer is telling the system that only one custmer is getting checked out every 5 mintutes, it is basically saying their "slow" and only need 4 registers opened. Even if there is 20 people in the same line...if that timer says their "slow" then they will not open another register. So if you have a slow employee ringing up your items, (which 95% of them are really slow) the timer is not getting reset and new lanes will not get opened. Every Walmart has 20+ lanes but on a typical day not even half are opened. And of course there are always at least 3 employees just standing at the counters watching everyone wait in line. Their idea of customer service is nuts. I hate going to WalMart and absolutely dread it because I already know I will have to wait in line for at least 10 minutes. WalMart wants to keep you in the store as long as possible because they think you will spend more money. Like WalMart doesnt have enough money already. A COMPLETE JOKE

I have had similar happen to me. I get so frustrated with them, so I wait until I reach the register, then I place all of my items on the counter / belt, and then I LEAVE! The employee has to remove everything (but will usually ring it all up first before they notice you've actually left), and Walmart has to pay the labor hours for this. I then go elsewhere to get what I need.

Walmart can't activate the thing

I had to purchase a new money card as one of the cards I have was compromised by a company scamming me out of money, I use this card for my husband to use when he is on the road and we have no bank accounts.
I have tried the computer, the phone and can not get a live operator to help me with getting this card activated, there is nothing in their fields that accept mailing addresses for people who live out in the country and have Rural Routes with box numbers, It keeps telling me this is not a residential address which is a load of hooey as It is my home, I tried to get a refund on the card even and it won't let me do that either, I am so tired of being scammed out of my money by people I am just plain sick about it, now I have this usless card with a large amount of money on it that I can not use, If Walmart insists on selling this product then by heavens they should have live operators to help out...I have 2 cards through these people and this is where they mailed them to them by gosh how come their stupid computer automated idiot on the line can't recognize the address.

Walmart rude customer service employee

I had the worst experience with a Walmart customer service employee. I had gone to my local Walmart to be refunded or exchange an item. I was the next in line to be helped. As I was standing there waiting my turn, she ( the rude employee ) was carrying on a conversation with another customer in the next line. This went on for a few minutes, and she finally looked at me and said, NEXT in a loud tone. I couldn't had been standing more than 3 ft. away and wasn't wearing a hearing device. Then she asked, what is the problem? Boy, did she ever use an attitude! I explained the items ( 3 of them ) didn't work for me. I looked at her and said, is that a problem? Yes, my blood was boiling at that point. Out of the blue, she takes the items and THROWS them over to the other customer service clerk. She then says, I'm not waiting on you ( in a loud tone for everyone to hear ). I went over to the next line, but this wasn't the end of this drama. I turned to her and said, you are so rude and you will be reported! After the young guy refunded my items, I asked to speak to the manager. The manager shows up and asked me, what can I do for you? I explained to him what had transpired. The store manager went through the motions of pretending to be concerned. My feeling is, he was basically pacifying me to get me out of the store. I didn't go back to that store for about seven or eight months. Finally coming to my senses, I decided this rude employee wouldn't run me off. She still has her job and still works in customer service dept. It's a shame, Walmart doesn't have high standards, and allow their employee's to treat customers bad. I only go there to buy the basics and no more!

Do people that join these forums come here to circumvent their anger? I checked into the history of one poster, and everything they have written is negative. I think to throw a customers items and refusing to wait on them is five year old mentality. She certainly was out of control at that point. Has this become common practice for customer service to behave like that? Wouldn't it had been polite to ask, may I help you? Why did it have to be, what is the problem? When you show little respect, you don't get it in return. Then again, she may not expect to be shown any kind of respect.

Listen, you can take a spin on my words, I almost expected that, but don't make this employee out to be the victim. You weren't there to witness the actual events that unfolded. I stand by my original comment that, Walmart doesn't seem to high standards. There are too many Walmart complaints on these forums and throughout the internet and we all can't be wrong. Have a good day.

I have worked for wal-mart as a cashier for over 6 years. Has anyone on here that is complaining about the wal-mart employee be it the cashier, the customer service or floor employee. realize that if they do complain about something so trivial that he or she will loose there job, then may not be able to feed there family> So before you go loosing your cool. In steed of complaining to the management and making them loose there job. Try going to something that will help you much much more. Like anger management . I would say of a great and happy day but until you seek happiness and not anger you will never find it.

I work for walmart now.I have worked at the customer service desk. The "rude"associate probably could have asked in a better way, "What is the problem?" It is the service desk associate to ask that question, because if you are bringing a return in, we need to know what is wrong with said item(s)to fill out claims tickets for those items. If a customer gets an attitude with the associate, that associate should do everything they can to rectify the situation. However they also have a right to call a CSM over to finish or deny the transaction.
One of my experiences was a man had set up one of those radio flyer tricycles on the service desk counter as a return with no receipt. His daughter came in a few minutes behind him "to take care of the return."Her father went walking through the store somewhere.I explained to the woman, that her father brought it in, and it was his ID i had to see(store policy). She got mad and went searching for him.She couldn't find him.So she try to give me her ID.Store policy states that not allowed.By this time, her father had checked out at one of the registers, and came back to the service desk. She takes his ID, throws it at me, cussing me, after i explain to her, twice, and nicely, about what the return policy is.(If you bring in a return, without a receipt, whoever comes in with it and places it up on the counter, is the ID we need to see.)I did refuse to do that transaction.I call my CSM over and told him what had happened, and why I have refused to finish the transaction. He did complete it.He did his job .I did my job.I went to talk to my assist manager, and she said i did the right thing, because after the policy has been explained and the customer gets rude, starts cussing and throwing ID's at you, you have every right to refuse the transaction. She also told me I did the right thing by getting the CSM involved. The father actually never did get mad.He actually apologized for his daughter's behavior.Everything said and done at the customer service desk is on camera to protect customers as well as associates.I have actually seen customers like this man's daughter, be escorted out of the store, because of their behavior.Customer is always right?!? Not necessarily! I do say customers sign my paycheck, even the ones who come in, and have had a bad day, for whatever reason.I do everything i can to provide excellent customer service.

Walmart identity theft

In June 2011 I was alarmed when I woke up and saw an email confirmation for an order. I hadn't ordered anything on walmart.com for a while. It was for a $200 eGift Card. I never ever purchased this so I replied to the email saying to cancel and someone stole my information. I went onto website to cancel order but website wasn't working for a while so I had to keep checking and when I finally got on I canceled it. Well turns out it never canceled because it showed up on my credit card. So I had to buy a new credit card. I cannot believe there are people in this world who do this to other people. I wish Walmart.com and any other website this happens to others would do something to make sure this would not happen. Also every website should not automatically keep credit card information online. I'm still waiting to be refunded. aaaaaahhhhhhh
