On Friday, May 31, 2024 I purchased 71 items at a cost of $389.64. While pushing my shopping cart with the paid items and receipt in my left hand. A Walmart associate demanded that I show him my receipt. I raised my left arm and showed him the receipt and kept moving forward. He shouted at me to stop and show him the receipt and I responded that I already did that. He continued to follow me and approached my back. I stopped and turned and told him that I already showed him the receipt and I was not going to show him again. I asked him if he was accusing me of thief and if he was, it was not going to turn out well for him. He became angry and used profanity towards me. I became angry, since I do not allow anyone to use profanity towards me. I asked him what was he going to do and he told me that it was going to be resolved. I asked him if he would like to step outside to resolve it and he immediately responded that he would like that. I began to move forward and then stopped and asked him how did he think this was going to go for him. He said that I was going to jail. I responded that it was not going to go well for him and he was willing to risk this over a paid for piece of paper. I asked him when did a change occur with the receipt request. He responded that it has always been a request. I responded to tell him that no one has ever asked me to stop and show my receipt and I have been at this store for several years. I informed him that I was going to leave and I was going to report this to the corporate office so this would not occur to me again. He replied, you do that. Note: I witnessed this same Walmart associate treating an elderly woman very badly in front of me.
Desired outcome: I would like Jimmie to receive disciplinary action. Profanity towards customers should not be tolerated by Walmart.
