Whirlpool service complaint

I was lodging a complaint for the last one month with whirpool service centre regarding a fault with my refrigerator. On contacting my nearest service centre at tiruvalla-pathanamthitta district-Kerala state (telephone No.[protected])the service centre staff asked me to to complain to the toll free number, and as per their information i registered the complaint with the centre and the complaint code issued to me was 00049.I have contacted the concerned service centre several times after registering the complaint and no one turned down to repair my applaince.At one occassion the service centre staff replied that the door was locked which was a usual reply to hide the negligence, since all the time two persons are available at my home. For this applaince i posses an insurance cover with the whirlpool which the service centre staff knows .Due to this irresponsible response I have lost the good impression which i have with this organisation. So I request you sir, to take immediate steps to rectify this fault.

I both a whirlpool washer and dry the dry is ok. But the washing machine has never worked right and then the repair man that came to my house said the it was my electrict wireing in my house even changed the wiring. Then my power was off three days. I called the company and this lady told me that it was my problem to fix what the repair man did and the washing maching still does not work. I tell ever body to not buy one of there machines. They do not work. I paid 1200 for the set and I will never buy another one.

Whirlpool for the last 4-5 months, the refrigerator door open warning audio alarm has been sounding continuously

For the last 4-5 months, the refrigerator door open warning audio alarm has been sounding continuously, even when the door is closed. I had registered numerous complaints with the Vizag dealer, the latest being Ref No. 1022 dated 9/06/07. When the defect first occured, the refrigerator was under warranty which has since lapsed on 30/05/07. I have sent numerous e mails to the head office of Whirlpool India in Mohan Nagar, at least 15 e mails. Not one response has been received from the head office or any response from their dealer in Vizag.

We had registered a complaint in machine malfunction on 29.09.09 and finally the so called service engineer visited us on 06.10.09. He said the bearing is damaged and special tools are required for it, within two days his team will come and replace. Till 19.10.09 no response when contacted same story again a new complaint a new face and!

I bought an AC from an exhibition hosted by NEST in Pune on 10/4/2008 wherein it was promised that installation is free.Later on Company refused and not attending to the calls.The call center is daily giving new dates for implementation

Extremely poor AMC service . I had given complaint about semi automatic washing machine, complaint no MB07090 14505 .A call is closed without attending it ? How is it possible? No latest updated or mob no of Area managers . The no given was not in use.

Hi,
I have also been facing the door-open alarm issue since the time I have bought my whirlpool refrigerator. I have been following up with the service team ever since and the problem still persists. I am based out of Bangalore and plan to approach the consumer forum soon, however, I am not sure if the consumer forum in vizag is as effective as that in Bangalore.

Perfectly right. The customer service has deteriorated like anything and the company is celebrating 100 years. Calls made in the Head Office/ Regional Offices are not heeded to. Casual approach to the problem faced by the consumers. The officers are not ready to accept any responsibility

Even I'm facing the same problem. I've bought a Refrigerator which was delivered to me on 06/06/2009. I raised a request for a demo on 6th June, 2009 to which I was given an Complaint ID (3124). I didn’t receive any call from Whirlpool India from then on. I’ve been following up the request since 8th June, 2009 regularly (7 follow-up calls till date) with the customer care (040-[protected]) but it seems Whirlpool India is not interested in resolving the issue. With this regard I’ve spoken to the Team Leads Mr. Paul and Mr. Joshva (Chennai) but all they have to reply is the issue has been escalated and they we’ll get back ASAP.

Whirlpool poor customer service/after sales service

I want to bring to the notice about the poor customer service/after sales service that Whirlpool offers. I bought a refrigerator one and a half years back and after 6 months of purchase it stopped cooling! After calling the customer service for around 7-8 days and then talking to someone at the Corporate Office, some engineers came and refilled the gas. And exactly after one year the same thing has happened, no cooling! And currently I am in the middle of the same cycle, of having called the customer service and the corporate office but of no use.

I just need a replacement of my refrigerator to at least enjoy some cool drinks this summer. Please suggest what needs to be done.

Whirlpool washer pump needs rebot

Washing machine in my 2007 Allegro Bus Motorhome keeps stopping and needs to be rebooted constantly.
I do not overload machine.
I use HE detergent so not cause oversudsing.

This seems to be a common complaint and Tiffin in now insatallig Splendide machines in their new coaches. Ths machine is less than 3 years.

Whirlpool replacement for damaged whirlpool washing machine not done

Dear Sir,

I bought a fully automatic Whirlpool Whitemagic washing machine on 19th of June, 2010 from Technocity, Kolkata – 20. Though the item was delivered on time but the service person came after 1 week and when he opened the box he found that the body was damaged. So he told that he will report about it and the machine will be replaced. But nobody contacted us after that. We called the customer care several times and every time either they are giving a new contact number or they are saying they have noted down about the incident and it will be replaced within 2/3 days. Today is 14th of July, and till now no action has been taken to replace the machine.

The Whitemagic Pro washing Machine is having High maintenance. Recently the same was off and the Repair person changes the PCB of Machine which costs 3900/- . New Machine costs Rs 15000/- . Does this match anywhere.

Whirlpool service

I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer set. I have been having an F1 error code pop up. I contacted Whirlpool about the problem and they scheduled for A&E Factory Service to come and fix it at no cost to me. I spoke with the service tech that was going to be coming via phone. He started talking about the price. I told him that Whirlpool said that there would be no charge because this is a known problem with the Cabrio. He told me that I would need to call Whirlpool to get this straightened out, because there was nothing he could do. I called Whirlpool and the gentleman I spoke to said that the previous Whirlpool person I talked to put some number in the wrong space and that is why the service tech was talking about money. Whirlpool rescheduled my appointment which is two weeks later now, with the numbers in the right spot. I am so angry with them right now. Furthermore they are just saying it is a known problem, they wont issue a recall and I think they should.

Whirlpool door remains open. water come out of the door

I have purchased Whirlpool fusion refrigerator from sales corner(baroda)Pvt.Ltd. on 12/02/2010. The refrigerator door remain open from top left corner and bottom left corner. the water come outfrom the door as the frost melts.
I had visited the sale corner office and they had given me this number [protected] which is written on the back side of ther card. This number is not correct and hence i am not able to register my complaint. I contacted your service centre, and the madam sittng on the help desk asked me to contact [protected]. when i called up it was busy for fifteen minute then voice mail asked to leave my name and message. please arrange to sent the engineer immediately to my residence. my contact no is [protected].

Whirlpool poor notification

I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and Dryer approximately 3 yrs ago. Started having problems with it a few months ago. Finally quit on me. Contacted local dealer/store and they repaired whirlpool washers. Found out it was the computer board that had burnt out. Because of a electric surge! Ok, No one told me I would have to put a surge protector on my washer. But the repair man told me this is a common thing with these washers and he doesn't know why, when people buy these that they aren't told to get a surge protector for them. This part costs $200.00. Just the part. Why doesn't it have built in protection? Why wasn't I told to get a surge protector for it? Bottom line...Money!
My parents owned a whirlpool washer and dryer for 20 yrs. with 8 kids in the house. So it really did its job! I swore by whirlpool appliances, but not any more! If they are going to sell their appliances knowing the appliances are going to break down, and that they could have easily avoided the problems that accur, just so they could make a few extra dollars, well in the long run they are losing customers, like me, so where does that get them and their few extra dollars?...I'm out more than $300.00, I'm out my trust in this product and company! I'm just say'in...

Whirlpool don't buy whirlpool ff 450 elite refrigerator

Very Dissatisfied - I purchased whirlpool refrigerator FF 450 Elite in March 2005 and this product started troubling me within year. The compressor was replaced in January 2006. I had to buy voltage stabilizer since one of whirlpool engineer suggested to buy a voltage stabilizer to rectify the issue but issue remains the same and during every summer I am facing similar issue and it stops working (no cooling at all). I have filed almost 15-20 complaints so far in whirlpool customer care and it has been repaired 6 times so far. If anyone is planning to buy whirlpool refrigerator then better be ready to face all these issues on routine basis. Say NO to whirlpool.

Hello Emily I have the Whirlpool elite 450 that I bought in 2007. I have had problems with the cooling multiple times since I purchased it. Last week it has stopped cooling and the technician replaced gas two times and tried to clean the pipes but cooling does not happen. Please suggest what should be done.

Whirlpool poor response

i purchased a split ac on 17/05/2010 and installed on 20/05/2010, ever since i am having problems. i called the dealer but they did not turn up. the wiring done is of aluminum wire of 2.5 the mcb got burnt and the wire also. poor installation and wiring. i talked to the dealer he says he will send the technician but never the complaint was attended. i talked to the company executives they say its the problem of the dealer we cant do anything. please forward my complaint to the company and do the needful. In future i will never go for a whirlpool product.

Whirlpool service work, faulty washer

Case number 295300 bought washer in october of 09

Once I brought my washer home it has been nothing trouble from day one. I was sold the wrong pedestal stools and it took an extra three weeks for the right ones to come in since I already waited to three weeks for the first set of pedestal stools to come in so that was six weeks of waiting. The washer has done nothing but vibrate and ruin my newly tiled floor. Which is going to cost at least $150 to fix. I have two different service guys out and did nothing to fix my problem. First guy did not bring any tools so how was he suppose to fix anything without tools. The second guy said that it was a screw that was loose, tightened it and left still did not fix my problem. Neither service man ran the washer through a washing cycle to tell me what was wrong. All I am getting now is that service people on the phone to tell me that my washer that sits on the second floor should not be there wish is bull. I have already missed three days of work and not able to take off any more days. I have service company that will not work around my schedule and confirmed to me that they will not be calling me again because they are not going to service me anyways. I have no clue what kind of people would do that. I also wasted a whole saturday waiting for a service whom finally called me at 5 p. M. And said that it was to late to come out whom was also be out at my house between the hours of 8 a. M. To noon. And with the three days of missing out on pay I have at least 65 hours or more on the phone and getting nowhere except being juggled from person to person or on hold for numerous minutes. We have been buying sears products for years. Everything in my home from my washer to my refriderator and stove come from sears. I would like to get this resolved. I believe I have insulted and people are rude. I understand that everyone has a job. But I have one also and I have a schedule of work and my only days off our satudays and sundays. I have done everything to help the service men, I have also had to wait for when I called in a service order that they said someone would call within 24 to 48 hours which I have waited up to ten days for someone to call me. My next will be the better bureau or an attorney. Which I am hoping that it does not go there. I just want a working washer machine. I have also been consulting with whirlpool and I am not getting any where with them. I would like a response asap

Whirlpool warranty policy

I brought a cooler and one yr. to date the cooler flooded my kitchen I called Whirlpool to return since I had 3yr warranty. I understand that you have to pay for reurns but why should I have to pay to sen to california when I brought it in N.Y. so a cooler that cost 191.58 I had to pay 90.36 to ship out to get a repacement. Now all reviews on this item is "AFTER A YR. THE ITEM LEAKS" so to all that want to purchase a cooler please don't buy WHIRLPOOL!

Whirlpool poor design & performance

After each use the inside of the microwave is covered with moisture and residue of what ever you were trying to cook. I did not have this issue with my previuos microwave.
The microwave clock does not come back up automatically after each use, as you you have to push the cancel button after each use in order to get the clock display to re-appear.

Model numer: GMH6185XVS...If you do not mind these short cummings, then you may want to purchase. However, having to reset the clock display and wiping the moisture out after each use is not for me. Wish I had purchased another model brand!

Whirlpool microwave oven — harrased & tortured.. got extended warrenty on wp microwave oven.. but from last 6 months am not able to use it.. the original part worked for 4 yrs.. but from last 4 mnths engineers have tried to change the part but everytime it was a duplicate one.. and did not last for 15 min..in front of the engineer... till date engineers are not able to fix my oven and for last 4 months I am not using it.. under warranty period... does it mean that whirpool make duplicate parts too & ditch the customer..? is this also included under whirlpool "code of ethics"...?

Dear mr. Aravind,
Good afternoon.
I have a prolem which may look small for you but is causing lot of heart burn to me and my family.
I purchased a whirlpool micrewave oven on 15-12-2017, from e-zone hyderabad (A division of home solutions (India) ltd,) located in city center mall, banjara hills hyderabad.
The technician who came to install informed us that the piece is defective and promised to get it replaced and left.
From that date till now nothing happened. E-zone guys tell me that the whirlpool customer care will take care of the replacement and put us in touch with a guy named rajasekhar ([protected]), who promised to enquire and revert back and doesn't lift the phone anymore.
E zone acts as if they have washed off their hands.
Please let me know what's the recourse left to me other than running to a court which as a middle class man I can ill afford.
I hope you will appreciate that 17days is a patient enough wait. Please help.

Sorry if I have bothered with my sob story but I didn't know what to do.
As the head of the company I hope you will help me.

The design is the design what i can't understand is the service policy. The company is totally unsupportive of what the consumer has to go through. 8 weeks without a microwave and 3 service companies later and they are refusing to replace it. The unit was about $250.00 and they spent 16 man hours in service techs alone. Sounds like a mismanaged company to me

I had purchsed Whirlpool Inverter on 09.2.2009 and had used it for around 01 year and then due to change of my temporary residences, I did not switch on the product for around 06 months. Now that I had shifted to my permanent residence, its not functioning. Please sent your service personnel to set right the inverter.

Whirlpool change of air conditioner

After installation of new equipment no cooling effect was there.The same was informed to customer care complaint no. GB0410010177 dated 21.04.2010. Next day engineer visited and find that compresser is faulty needs replacement. the conditioner / compressor was defective since very first day of installation it was requested to replace the complete A.C, but till date no action has been taken on ground level except hope.
Again on dated 02.05.2010 informed to customer care no. GB0510000579 And on dated 04.05.2010 having discussion with sr.executive Jyoti madam but still no action is there and we are suffering with huge difficulty.

Whirlpool compressor failure

Our whirl pool refrigerator (model : ff 350l:product id:12763 350l ice m elite) purchased on 3..10..2003, is not functioning from 17th april 2010. we informed our near by customer service centre (ags home care, near iob, mc road, kuttor, thiruvalla). the service personnel inspected and found its compressor (compressor no. tp10hf225259502f0303) was out of order. since the compressor warranty has not expired, he guaranteed to rectify it within two three days. but even after 3 weeks, the problem is not solved. we were continuously contacting them about its status. its compressor was brazilian make, and service centre people are now trying to replace it with an indian make compressor, for which they say some of the boards (like defrosting circuit board) all require to be changed. we exactly require a brazilian make compressor itself, for which warranty was assured by whirl pool. kindly consider these factors and find a solution for our problem at the earliest.

Whirlpool refund of money — urgent

Sir, It is very sad to inform that after my repeated requests on cc centre chandigarh my problem is not rectified.I have washing machine of top loading 5.5 kg 2000 model. It is under AMC for last 5 years since its warranty period had expired. It was done through your authorised service centre. Now for last year we had shifted to chandigarh and my w.machine went dysfunctional. I had shown it to our chandigarh cc care and they repaired the washing machine and took Rs 720/- by saying that my AMC is either expired or untracable. Later, on extensive search it was found that my AMC will be expired on 10.09.10. I called at ur cc centre and my problem is not rectified yet even after 1 month. I had paid Rs 3299/- on 23.08.08 through service person MR AZHAR Rohini service centre, with cheque- SBI saraswati vihar, Delhi, no. 394030 at 7.00 pm. This AMC was for 2 years with service request no. 18846 0n that day. Please look into matter and return Rs 720/ at an earliest . The no. of AMC is HP01 241525 AND THIS IS EXTENDED TILL 10.09.10.mY REPAIR JOB NO. 852 ON 4.2.10.Pl. scrutinise the matter at an earliest.

Whirlpool e-light is not burning

I have purchased a Whirl pool refrigerator fusion premier 200 ltr (colour carbon gar on 09 Apr 2000. The same was installed on 24 Apr 2010. The engineer who has installed the refrigerator informed that the e-light will be burn only after two hours. However, the same has not been functioning. The matter has been intimated to the customer care immeidately. The service engineer visited my residence on several times. Till date the same has not been rectified. The details of refrigerator is given below :

Whirlpool defective brand new refrigerator

BUYERS BEWARE

The Whirlpool refrigerator I purchased from Appliances Direct on Main Street in Kissimmee, Florida was delivered to our home on April 17, 2010 and it appeared to be working. My wife and I left for Miami the morning of April 19, 2010 and returned home at 8:00 PM, April 24, 2010. The food in our refrigerator was spoiled and Appliance Direct was closed until Monday morning. I contacted Appliance Direct on Monday and a repairman arrived in the afternoon. The problem was a defective Main Control Board that needed to be replaced. I expected Appliance Direct to replace the defective refrigerator with a new one but they would only agree to repair it. I contacted Whirlpool Corporation and they would only repair it.
The bottom line when dealing with brand new (defective) appliances, the manufacture, (Whirlpool) will not replace the defective appliance with a new one unless the problem is so serious, that it needs to be returned to their factory. Their policy is to repair the defective appliance, regardless of the inconvenience it may cause you. When I purchase a new appliance, I expect it to be new, not defective or repaired. This experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth. The real test for rating an appliance or company is not when you buy it but when it breaks down. Whirlpool Corporation has apparently initiated a return policy similar to their policy in Third World countries--"Don't Replace It--Repair It". My advice to anyone contemplating purchasing a Whirlpool appliance, is to seriously reconsider it. And, if you do decide to purchase a Whirlpool product, make sure you are dealing with a reputable dealer who will exchange the appliance if it is defective within the first few days of purchase.

Lesson Learned - Always ask about return/repair policies for major purchases (Appliances, electronics, computers, etc)

I used to work at a Sears in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and the policy is the same. Repair before replace. I know it sucks, but it is how they operate.

Be more inquisitive next time, especially when making major purchases.
