woolworths-brand baked goods
Hi there, I thought your Christmas cookies looked good this year. But like the other regular Woolworths-branded baked goods, such as biscuits and donuts, they include palm oil as an ingredient. The extensive use of palm oil in products has meant that farmers are chopping down hundreds of thousands of acres of natural jungle and bushland to expand palm oil plantations. This is responsible for the widespread killing and death of many jungle animals such as tigers, elephants and especially orang-utans who rely on their jungle habitat for survival. Please choose a sustainable oil product for your baked goods ingredients and I will buy these in future for my family.
Best wishes,
Vicki Green, Sydney
rspca approved chicken
I purchased .584 grams of this product today, 14/12. Product expiry was 19/12. As I cut the chicken up it smelt off, but thought it couldn't be due to expiry date. The remainder of what I required I placed in the freezer. I should have trusted my senses! As I cooked the chicken, it again smelt off. I decided to try it. It was off! The whole meal I prepared was discarded. Product was purchased from Wadalbah which is a fairly new store. Very disappointed. I was always a Coles shopper but decided to try new store due to convenience. Not only is the food off but I find more expensive than Coles!
too much plastic surrounding imported goods.
Your retail outlets do not consider our world environmental plastic pollution problem! Help Australia by using only bio-degradable marketing products before its far too late. I shall be removing all plastic instore from my purchases as its the only thing I can do, similar to European stores. Please look at the Santo Domingo Coastline, awash with Plastic pollutant in the sea, all because multinationals want to make MORE PROFIT! YOU are helping to Kill our seas by NOT LIMITING this plastics scourge. ACT NOW or expect demonstrations outside your stores worldwide by the people who care and love our country Australia.
unethical behaviour
I am a pensioner and live 25klm from my nearest wolworths store in fernvale qld. It is a 50klm return trip so as I am a wildlife carer and feed lorrikeets during the day and possums at night I go through 2 loaves of bread each day. I buy the cheap 90 cent loaves in bulk and keep them in a small cold room. I always buy 20 loaves each time because of the distance and fuel cost. I have been doing this for as long as this cheap bread has been on sale. Before this I got it from aldi in gatton. Yesterday I went to get the bread and there was a woman filling the shelf. I said to her is it ok if I take it off the trolley instead of the shelf. She asked how many I wanted and when I told her she was very rude and told me I couldnt have that amount and I would have to order it so they know how much to bake. They do not bake it there! I toldn her I always get that much but she said no. I asked other staff at the self serve section and they looked surprised but decided to agree with the rude one. I put my other purchases back and will not shop there ever gain. I am going to do formal complint to the manager. There has never been a sign saying that there is a limit on how much of that bread a customer can buy. Shame on wollworths.. I will be shopping at aldi a coles and drake from now on. Aldi sells the bread for 90 cents and never bother how much I buy. It is just further for me to travel 33klm an extra 16 klm return trip.
fuel customer service
I filled 91 upl fuel at woolworths petrol, 430 moreland rd. Site id 3473 coburg. Ph [protected].
I was not treated well by customer service, so disrespectful. I thought because of my nationality. Customer service representative "nikhil". He was busy on his personal phone. I approach him
1st. No greetings to me, I geeted him no return reply he said my fuel purchase.
2nd no professional ethics for him.
3rd no name on the bill and no name plate on him.
4 th worng change was given, I went back and clam the money. No apologies and started argue.
I gave him $52 he entered in system $50.
5 th no respect given even though mistake was on his side.
6 th no proper training. No supervision so he can use mobile on duty.
Please go through the vedio and transaction. Train him properly. The manager not looking after. Thanking you
australian celebration cake
The re-naming of Woolworths' Christmas Cake product to "Australian Celebration Cake" is an act of bigotry against Christians and the wonderful legacy of joy and sense of community that Christmas provides to Western culture across the world. Many people have been offended by this clandestine act of bigotry and will no doubt be shopping for a Christmas Cake elsewhere. This is certainly the case for myself and for many in my circle of influence. Be assured that this same manner of protesting against this offensive will be replicated countless times across Australia. In a season of "Good Will to All", Woolworths Australia has managed to incite the opposite by their act of bigotry.
I agree, I have purchased my CHRISTMAS Cake from ALDI, as they sell the TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS CAKE, not celebration cake go and purchase from Aldi not Woolworths.
fruit and veg
Woolworths call themselves the "fresh fruit people", but this statement couldn't be further from the truth. On Saturday I went to my local Woolies in Moorebank and spent around $207. When I got home to make a fresh salad, it became visibly apparent that the salad that I have paid good money for was not so fresh after all. This was not one product but all of the salad and fruit I have purchased I had brought a whole watermelon which was WELL over its sell my date. What I would like to know is how can these products go on the shelves with out been checked for freshness? This particular woolworths in Moorebank NSW needs a real makeover. Although its only small, often the shelves are empty and its not well organised. I think that the head office should go out and do some sort of spot check, make a salad themselves with some of the rotten food. There needs to be some apparent training and education with the staff on how check that their products are fresh.
packing of orders
I have complained over and over again to my online delivery store, Woolies Yanchep WA, to stop packing bread in with the bottles of lemon lime and bitters but every week they do it. Also why can they not pack the bread, crumpets and pikelets in one bag, the apples, bananas and pears in another bag, the fridge products in another bag etc etc.
They say their store Online Management team has checked the packing and if this is so, then that store has a BIG problem.
Would the staff themselves pack their own purchases in this poor manner ?
I think not !
The online manager Jackie does not handle complaints in a constructive manner and has a very poor customer relations manner.
If I didnt live in an isolated area and needed to rely on getting my groceries through Woolworths, as they are the only online provider out this way, then I would definitely look at another avenue for supply.
online
I live on Macleay Island, and I made several online orders with Woolies online. The first had various problems, the second was ok, but the last order was a catastrophe!
two days before the delivery date I tried to add an item (batteries), and found that I had lost my delivery date and the whole order. I did not even succeed to check out! The lady on the phone was extremely unhelpful! I told her that I will never ever shop with Woolworth again... she seemed to not care... Your web site is full of bugs and misinformation and very difficult to use... I will definitely never ever shop with Woolworth again... Hopefully your supermarkets will follow the path of 'Masters'
par baked dinner rolls
Just purchased the above dinner rolls(Made in France) in pack of 6 as stated on the pack and on the shopping docket. However there are only five (5) bread rolls in the pack. Is this normal practice for Woolworths to short change their packs? I am very disappointed as a I believe I am a loyal Woolies customer but still like value for money.
I leave this complaint with you to investigate further and correct. Thank you.
rotten and damaged food, poor delivery service
You're branded as the "fresh food people". But yet again, we have received spoiled fruit that we have to throw away because they are rotten and contain mould.
You provide a paid online service that is supposed to be convenient. Yet we've still got to go back to the shops because your "improved" packing staff are unable to read or follow simple requests like: "Please ensure the fruit is not bruised and the bananas are NOT ripe (still green)"
The consumers pay for deliveries that can't be delivered on time because as your customer service representative said "the driver had to wait at the store because the orders weren't ready". So the consumer really pays for poor time management.
You provide all that convenience that not only makes me have to go and do the job I paid your company to do, but also requires me to be left on hold while your customer service team tells me that I'm not important enough to be spoken to by the person who is in charge of all these people who continuously make these mistakes every single week.
Once again I'm disappointed by the shocking service and quality of produce provided by the so called "fresh food people".
slow cook pork knuckle
Maggot flavoured slow cook pork knuckle. Purchase last Nov 24, 2018 and cooked last 27th. Nov. we are frustrated that the complaints team is all talk and won't even give us a report or even a courtesy call that our complaint has been actioned and measures has been in place. We received a call from the complaints team but it wasn't fruitful and not convincing .This is completely unacceptable. Please action this ASAP
mangoes
Purchased 3 mangoes at Woolworrhs Lismore Central store in Lismore . On 30 11 2018. They looked perfectly fine In the Outside all 3 were rotten on the inside. I have photos and the receipt. I live 40 kms from the store can not return them. Incredibly disappointed got home went to eat them every single one day as Rotten. Have lost faith in purchasing fruit from your shop.
hot chicken
I brought two hot chickens from Woolworths at Kwinana on Saturday just gone and I was eating the breast then I saw something move on the wing. Maggots. I threw up 🤮 totally disgusting I be felt ill even today.
I can't stand the smell of cooked chicken. You guys really need to find a better was of preparing them for sale this happens more times than it should totally disgusted.
sun rice steamed rice
Hello. Today i bought 4 packages of this rice and quinoa ready in 90 min microwaves and once at home I opened one to warm it up and I founf a disgusting mix of crowning maggots.the other 3 packages looks the same.
Please check this brand and the content.the packaged was close with no damage.
I would appreciate if you could seriously consider this case.
bananas
On the weekend of 1-2/12/18, I shopped at Woolworths Shoreline in Tasmania. I was astounded and exceedingly disappointed to see bananas for sale in rigid plastic containers. In light of all the publicity surrounding the overuse of plastic, I feel Woolworths could take the lead and start to minimise their plastic use.
Especially for a product that comes in its own purpose built, and perfect, packaging.
dangerous driving
Hi,
This morning on my way home from work I was cut off by one of your delivery drivers. This took place on the 2nd december 2018 at 05:43am at the intersection of kremzow and gympie roads strathpine qld. Your driver was turning right onto gympie road from kremzow road from the right turning lane and went straight into the left lane where I was turning into. I have attached a copy of my dash cam footage as evidence. The vehicles rego is 461snk. As the video shows, there is two lanes turning right.
Please feel free to contact me regarding this matter.

packing
Can you please instruct staff to stop over packing the bags. We bring our own now so it is not costing Woolworths! The bags are way too heavy and with a bad back and shoulder it is not good. Also I have ample cooler bags for my frozen and chilled foods and yet they pack frozen and chilled foods in normal bags and put cans and bottles etc in my cooler bags!
bag of mixed lettuce
I was put of and imbarassed when I served your bag of mixed lettuce. Name brand. Mixed leaf iceburg lettuce blend. There was a clump of rotten lettuce in there that I noticed once dishes out to guests. I pay you money for fresh good quality produce. Not rotten food like I got. Very disappointed. I only shop at woolworths. It's not the first time this has occurred. I look forward to your response.
home delivery service
For more than a year I've been using the home delivery for my shopping at woolworths. The attraction was the convenience and as a mum who also works full time saves me from wrangling the kids to do the weekly shop. And since the first delivery I've been disappointed with the service provided. First was the app .. crashed often and would have to start over when it did but put up with it because I just had to get it done. Next was the lack of concern for the plastic bags used .. had 1 onion on 1 plastic bag once .. I've stockpiled bags of just bags in bags ... so I can re-use it for something else.. and such poor effort for Woolies to give alternative options for packaging despite their awareness. Lack of communication on unavailable products.. I find out pretty much when it's been delivered as I don't have time to stare at my phone waiting for an email ding so I can make a quick amendment to my order. Lastly the quality of fruit and vegetables. Tasteless.. soft apples🤢. Bags of mixed leafy salad that were wet in a sealed bag that smelled like sweaty feet. With the expiration dated for the next day. Couldn't bare to serve it to my kids... so it's binned. Why would a picker pick that ? Why would it even be on the shelf ? I've binned countless bags of leafy greens.. bottom line is I'm sick of it. I've submitted your surveys a few times for things to change. And little to no effort. And your promotional emails are annoying. I don't want to live at woolworths, so no need to tell me twice a day what I can buy. I have switched to Drakes -Foodland. Very very happy.
