I was at ackermas workshop durban today to buy something for my baby for xmas. While we busy buying. They catch guys stealing. After everyone was like shocked in store. Than crack a joke by saying, can people just assist me to know whether this dress I am buying is good for my daughter for xmas. One of the ladies in store came to us because I was coming with a friend she said you guys you criminals and you coming with those criminals we just found. She even said that they confirm that they coming with a guy with white shirt she pointing at me. Than since the locked the guys down by security guys offices. I asked if they know me they must just confirm my name or anything they know about me. Because I had my i. D and I got proof of where im working and staying. She did not tolerant that. She even told me that im pretending to be disable in a degrading way. Before even paying she approach me and said she will search me before leaving. I said but not my body. She said she will do anything and she got right to do that I wont do anything. I can go anywhere and do what ever I want to do and I tried to speak to her co-worker indian lady, who seem to understand and confirm that it not right way to speak to customers and harassed them indian lady name (Kulmah). She called a guy to come with her so that they can beat me if I refuse to remove my cloths. I was afraid that they wanting to beat me for nothing I agreed to remove my cloths infront of them. I felt so embarrassed removing my cloths staff watching me and my dignity was destroyed because im disable I cnt defend my self. She didnt even given clear explanation why search is conducted beside telling that im pretending to disable because im using medical orthotist and im coming with criminals. My number is [protected]. Good day, on 25/6 March 2017 I bought a Premio P700 7" Tablet for my son birthday, in September it started to freeze and get very warm, also it takes long to switch on, mind you it only gets used over weekends.in October the we switched it on and the LCD gave it, on 25.10.2017 I took it to Blue Route Mall where I initially bought it, filled in all paperwork, gave my original slip, box and all accessories, I was told it will take 35 working days by Wafikah. On Wednesday 13.12.2017 I phoned the store and spoke to Carmen, I gave her my IMEI number as well as the tracking number RSMD0026235, she took my details and was going to call me back with feedback, it is now Friday 15.12.2017 spoke to Christa, again she took me details and said she will call me back. I bought 3 tablets 20/12/2016, after 6 months June 2017 it started giving problems, send it in for repairs, now its starting again. Did ask if i can have my money back or get a new one, but its a no. if it is not that yhe tablet dont want to charge then it shows that it doesnt read the sim card but nothing is wrong with the sim. At ackermans parow one of the staff members said that they have a lot of problems with the premio tablet, what i want to know why cant i have my money back if the premio tablet is giving such a lot of problems, because im going to be the looser of R2700, 00 with a faulty product. All three tablets was in for repairs and all three is giving problems again

This has email serves as an irritation to my being. I have called in to the call centre [protected] and spoke to Daniswa 2017/04/06. I wanted to arrange for a debit order on my account. It was later confirmed that the debit order has been activated. The first month the debit order went through to my surprise the following month I received a call that my account was not paid. How so? As I have arrange for a debit order?. I then called the call centre again and spoke to Tania and arranged again for a debit order as it is my name that is being tainted here. Tania promised that she has arranged for a debit order
I then called in again and I was told the same story not only once but twice I spoke to Ayanda and Nadia. Can someone please indicate what is happening in your department and why is my name being tarnished like this. There seems to be no communication whatsoever in this department. How are we supposed to trust Ackerman's in such instances.

Hi, I Would like to know your procedures in concern with your staff opening funeral policies for your account holders without their consent, I have cancelled two policies already in my name and there are no refunds on all the amounts taken, I want to know if is it safe to have an account with you or should one have cancel their accounts because of your immoral staff. rude credit control staff
I am ONE month behind on a instalment and got an email this morning that I will be handed over to ITC cause I don't respond or take their phone calls which is utter rubbish! I do speak to a lady who refuses to give me her name and she is so rude and without any etiquette that I should explain why I did not pay and that my reason (unforseen medical expenses for my 4yr old son) is not taken into consideration blah blah blah and the more I try to explain the more she interrupts me. I asked her numerous times to keep quiet and let me finish talking. She kept interrupting and I told her she is making me furious and she just continued with her spiteful interruption as if she wanted me to get mad and scream! I eventually put the phone down. This was today 29/11/2017 at 10:35. This is the reason why I never buy anything from this company again. I don't support (my purchases pays her salary or the department that hires her to phone me) such low class behaviour and straight out lack of respect. I am the client! I do hope her superiors sees this complaint and do something about this.

Staff really do not have a customer care service, I have been a customer at Arcon Park ever since the shop was opened. Sunday I was five minutes late, I wanted to enquire about my lay-bye which was due on the 24 Nov 17 but no one attended me at the door, I opened the door but they were so rude to tell me they can't help me because they are closed. There was no security at the door and when I enter into the shop they just ignored me and gave me an attitude. So is this how it is suppose to be if the shop is closed we must get bad attitude from the staff or their mouth is closed as well.

My name is Phetela Mothea.I bought a STK phone on 06 September 2017 for R1299.00 which I asked about it to the manager before I can purchase it and I was told it is a very good phone that won't give me problems.within 2 months after purchasing the phone the battery started giving me problems, it does not last even 20minutes once the data is sert on.lately it doesn't charge at times .I have to use a universal charger all the times.I loose a lot of business because I use this phone for work and its off most of the times.I was at Germiston ackersmans store this morning for an exchange and I was told that the same phone I have has been booked for repair by a lot of people and it could take 3 to 5 months before I can get my phone back.I request that I get a an exchange of another phone of the same price or more.I have been supporting Ackerman's store for so long and I would be very happy if my reguest is cranted.please assist urgently, I should be out of the country before end of the week.

Poor service ackermans Kirkwood, I bought a fone last month .At first it was a sumsung I have noticed that the phone button are not working properly, I took it back to store then I took Huawei, then still The Huawei has got a very poor network rather it has got no signal for every network when I return it they refuse to assist me simple because, I don't have a purchasing slip anymore.I bought the phone with my account probably they do have records on their system. I don't need anything to do with Ackermans poor quality phones, I just need the refund..Please help ...

I suggest you guys benchmark with rage and see how they handle their systems with credit accounts.you can't just force someone into a club that you charge additional charges without their consent or without clearly explaining to the customer what they are getting themselves into.i was surprised to have paid for interests that were ridiculously high only to find that I was also paying for a club that I knew nothing about.i wouldn't have known that I am paying for something that I did not ask for until I decided to pay up all my debt only for it to accumulate while I have never bought anything with my card which explains that I am paying for a club that I knew nothing about.With that said, i regret the day a opened a credit card with Ackermans. Opening an account with the store does not mean I want a club too.

I applied for a new ackermans store card account, I was looking forward to having that account but after the services I received from different branches on the 04/11/2017starting from Joubert ackermans ( Joubert St, CBD) then I was told that the ackermans I must go to the ackermans in eloff street. After waiting in long queues I was assisted but the the guy who's name is Lucas. He scanned my documents twice as the call centre consultant said they couldn't find the documents as they requested and those were the three latest payslips. I waited for almost two hours in the same branch for an sms but nothing was sent. I then went to another branch at westage mall. I was assisted by the lady who's name is Katlego/kelebogile. She called the call centre, they said my documents were not sent. I must start afresh with the scanning of the documents, I then came back on the 05/11/2017 for further assistance . Katlego from ackermans westgate mall helped me which was the fourth time now when she faxed my documents. She called them at tenacity and after 30 minutes or so I recieved an sms stating that my account is approved. After long up and downs I finally said at-least my account is approved. I went to southgate mall to activate my card, however wen I got southgate mall with my family as were looking forward to shopping at ackermans taking into account that you activate with a purchase, to my surprise the lady who was helping me said i cannot activate my card because the sms they sent has got a reference only. If I didn't have money on me I could have been seen a someone who is delusional because of very bad services from your branches.I ended up buying clothes for cash which costed me around R1950. Please stop sending us sms for new accounts if your systems and your personnel is not in order. I am not happy at all.

I am utterly disgusted by the service I received at your store. This lady called herself Mary and she said she is the manager but I am so disappointed at your management staff. She doesn't deserve the role, my 3 year old would do a better job than her anyways this is what happened; the store was closed and I just walked to the door to check what time they open tomorrow then I see a guy begging to be let in, and he was let in by "Mary"
I then also requested very politely to be let in and she refused and closed the door on my face.
All I wanted was a white top for my daughter to wear at her graduation tomorrow. I then asked her why can't go in when she is letting other people in "men" to be specific she then spoke in a different language and I told her I don't understand she continued and shut the door in my face.
I opened the door and still begged to buy a top because she had let this man in she said NO and I requested for a manager she said she is the manager.
I told her I will report her to HelloPeter and she said she doesn't care and shut the door.
I took pictures of her even though my phone is not clear.
I totally understand if the store is closed but why are there other people let in the store when its closed especially after seeing them beg to be let in. That I don't understand, we can even check footage. She's disrespectful and doesn't have soft skills.
Is it possible that she knew this gentleman personally? If not, then I agree that he should not have been let in, but it is up to the manager if she wants to make that decision. That being said, it's really inappropriate and rude to post a stranger's picture on the internet.

My cellphones Wi-Fi button stopped switching on. i returned the phone to the store and it was send to the technicians for about 3weeks. The phone came back fixed, but just after 3days the same problem started again. The cellphone is not even 3month old.. it's a brand new phone.
All i want is a phone replacement or my credit to be credit back to my account. Otherwise i am sorry i wont pay that account.

On the 01 august 2017 my wife and i went to the ackermans store in Kwagga Mall, Pretoria West to pay our account, after we paid i looked around for a sandals for my child of which i found in one of the shelves. We then used the same ackermans account to purchase it. It is with great regret to notice that though the sandals is used internal it the sole of the sandals opened from the platform of the sandals.
On the 14 October 2017 we took the sandals to the branch with the aim of receiving an exchange, we spoke to the cashier who then referred us to the store supervisor ..she asked for the receipt we told her we dont have one but we do have the date ...instead of helping us to retrieve this information from the system she called the manager who is a coloured male . He was absolutely useless i mean usless in helping a customer ...he demanded for the receipt. We left the store without any help.
When we arrived home we started to look for the receipt of which i later found in the plastic packet of Ackermans .
On Monday i arrived at the store i was attended by the manage [ coloured male ] who was not so impressed to see me coming back to the store with the original copy of the receipt.
He then spoke to his store supervisor the same person that has no time for customers ..she was too busy chatting about something that was not work related to her colleague and i was asssited by a young female who the asked me for the receipt i responded can you not see that it is in front of you ..she was so so surprised as if she has not seen a receipt before like this ...then after she processed and a new sandal was exchanged as she put the sandals back into the plastic i asked for a receipt. By then the store supervisor was present ...out of the blue she started to raise her voice at me saying you did not bring a receipt we helped you to exchange the goods hence you are looking for a receipt.. i responded i beg your pardon ...you are not doing me any favours i have a receipt infact i walked into the store with a receipt...she just looked at me as if she does not regard me as a customer not i think she has a passion for customers.
In conclusion i am upset i feel that ackermans store in kwagga Mall, my experience i had received should go viral and the store manager and his supervisor should be expelled.

today 17 October 2017 i went to Gezina mall to cancel a laybye. I was insulted by a cashier named Lebogang. She told me that in must get something with that amount then i stated that as in the slip i must get my full refund because it was not expired. She called me named please check your footage for today around 9:15am. I have never seen such rude and insulting person them for what they did to me in-front of the other customer.When i laybye i did know how sales consultant will make you feel unworthy. I love ackermans but today i will even close my credit account with them.
I bought a cellphone on 28 March Premio from Ackermans in Attelyn in Attridgeville complex> after 4 days it gave me trouble to download then i went back for exchange which they refused then they're assistant manager help me through out process. Since July problem escalated to speaker problem n when you charge it big issue so i went back and explain.They told me to call Premio myself because its no longer they're problem.When i bought it they didn't tell me if i experience a problem i must go to Premio. Purchased a tablet on 04/10/2017 for my child birthday gave it to him on 14/10/17 just to find out button not working for example you press y then a z appears apps don't work like WhatsApp clearly a factory fault and they refused to exchange a item that is suppose to be brand new I could then have rather purchase something by second hand store. Then lady a store gives me a number to phone speak to some one their and they said they will get back to me. So I went into the festival mall Ackerman's store this morning to exchange some items. I saw on of the displays in the centre of the store items that were on special. There was a board advertising the specials above the racks. The display had items on 4 sides, back, front andZsides. So the board on the front said "Buy any 2 for R100, Save R19.95". The board at the back didn't have any price/ specials. So I took 2 items that were R59.95 each, 1item from the front and 1 item from the side, and I went to the till only to be informed that the special only included the items from the front. So I pointed out that the sale sign does not state that this sale only includes the items at the front. They call the lady that did the display, Linbing (names I received from manager). She comes to the till and the teller explains and then she tells me "come here" like I'm a little child and she walls off towards the display and leaves me to follow. Then she points at the front sale board and asks "what does this say" and she goes to the back of the display and asks "what does this say". SHE TALKS TO ME LIKE I'M AN [censor]!
So then I tell her that the advertising is done incorrect, how am I supposed to know that the sale only includes the front and not the sides, however the lack of pricing at the back of the sale board includes the items at the back and sides. The items at the side were the same price as the items on the front with the special and if calculated will give you what the sale states. She continues speaking to me rudely and taking me back and front asking what the sign says like I'm F*#!ing 4years old. She then states, after me telling her that I took the items at the side to be part of the sale because of the same price, " you shouldn't take it that way".. Then when I try to explain how misleading the display is she tells me I am being rude. Mind you through this entire encounter and being spoken to so rudely and being made to look like an [censor] the manager, Ashwil, was standing off to the side watching his staff being rude and not doing anything until I asked to speak to the manager and when he comes there this woman walks off. All the manager says is "I understand what you are saying but it doesn't include the items on the side". THERE WAS NO APOLOGY OR ANYTHING FROM THE MANAGER!
I am not sure if this woman fell off the wrong side of the bed or her boyfriend broke up with her but to be treated this way by this lowlife, uneducated, rude, uncouth woman pisses me oFF! She needs to leave her problems at home and be more friendly towards the customers! Something needs to be done, with the manager especially! You guys are supposed to hire staff that can advertise the merchandize properly to sell items not to confuse the customers and then male them seem like [censor]S! The manager was also pathetic!

I bought a STK cell phone from Ackerman in shelly beach 7 months ago after a month the screen went blank and they sent it for repairs.. A month went by and i was given another STK.. About 2 months later it stopped charging and was sent in again, yesterday after 2 months at the repair centre i got it back and guess what.. IT STILL DOESN'T Charge... So i informed Ackerman's Shelly Beach and was told to take the phone to Ackerman's in Pavilion Centre Durban as i now live here and send it in for repairs again! Are you kidding me! I want a refund.. I can not be expected to stay calm and polite but still have no phone! I paid for it straight away didn't i.. But still after 7 months have nothing to show for it.. I DEMAND a resolve!

I bought shoes at one of ur stores in flora centre the shop was empty not much of customers...i dont expect to layed down with a red carpet and be served like a queen the staff was just hangin around the tills doing nothin except for one who was assistin one customer ...ther was no line i stood there for about 20minutes before i could be attended to.. i mean i dont c the point of having so many tills and still have to wait for that long. I kept myself calm thinkin they tyd n hav to knock of ..they still served with their annoyin looks in their faces..this mornin i went again to exchange the shoes ...still no line n i still waited for another 20 minutes to b served stil no line and no 1 explainin y i am not attended to...i value peoples jobs...they still roaming around doin wat i dont know n the other is busy on the othr till...n the rest of the staff is walkin around the tills...the service is awful i lov ackermans but please improve in trainin ur staff
