this complaint is against the airtel dth service…. the settop box has lot of issues
every month I re-charge on or before due date…but for some strange reasons, airtel want to disrupt my viewing experience!
before 2 weeks from due date to recharge, I start getting messages which blocks the screen every 5-10 mins, which says my balance the message appears on my screen which blocks viewing
“get rs 15 on recharge of rs 315 ” ! I dont understand if airtel calls this reminder? I get this messg even when I recharge!
but my question is y airtel is using my tv screen to advertise? I want to highlight that airtel

I am Navin Jain, living at House No. 56, Sector 12A, Dwarka, New Delhi-110075. I applied for Airtel IPTV on 12th December, 2011, and paid 1750 INR. as installation fees.(Form No : 2953189)
Its been 10 days and no one came to install the connection, we tried calling on various different airtel customer care numbers and the dealer number multiple times everyday, but always the response was very cold.
Calling an airtel customer care number leads to the same routine every time, they don't even connect us to their seniors.

I have the exact same issue. Hundreds of flash messages (internet / phone usage)...every few seconds, making the phone almost unusable! I tend to think that disconnecting the Airtel service is the only option as they clearly haven't managed to fit it. Multiple calls to 121 and still the same issue.

landline incoming is not working
i Have Opted Airtel Broadband with fixed landline on 1st december, 2011. and i had an issue with incoming calls from December 7th 2011. i have called the complaints grevience cell on the same issue, With their response of solving the issue with in 16 hours and 42 minutes i have been waiting for the issue to be resolved.
this is been a continuing process every day that i call them regarding the issue and they are postponing the time every day. stating that it is a technical issue.
I have spoke with 11 of the executives till date including 2 of the Senior managers. It is been very difficult to handle the issue to be resolved.
Please help me in resolving the issue.

sir my mobile no is [protected], airtel prepaid.my balance has been deducted twice on 9/12/11 Rs.49 for mp3fulsong and for same region on 27/11/11 Rs.20, wheres i hav not requsted for such services.on first deduction, i calld costomer care on 121 he replied that i have given the request, i asked how i have requsted, he told that i can't tell then i asked to take this complain, he refused telling that we are not taking such complain.i left that but again same thing happend and i again ring to 198 and asked for reason this time he told to provide reason by sms but didn't done so.first time i have stopped that service by sms.now what can i do?do i stopped using all services of airtel ?will i get my hard earn money back?is there any action taken against airtel for such harrasment?

same problem with my airtel number [protected]...i have lost close to the range of 2000rs in less than 3 months, these stupid idiots when u call half the time they cant even speak english and the other half keep on insisting that you have used the said services. it is very annoying but fact still remains, i am a loyal customer of Airtel and just cant move on so in return i learnt to live on. Let them steal from us.

This is Joy Chakraborty, an Airtel customer for last 5 years in Pune.
Recently I had subscribed to Airtel's 3G service on my new Samsung Galaxy S2 and this mail is to be vent out my frustration on this so called service which I could not enjoy till date.
It has been more than 7 days that I had taken this service and to my utter disappointment and frustration I have not received the 3G speeds and service on my cell for not more than 1 day and even that was not continuous and seamless. All the time on my cell I am just getting the Edge GPRS service with its slow speeds.
A customer who pays for 3G to leverage the benefits of his phone, is rendered so helpless by the lack of service and he still has to pay for the 3G rates at the lower usage limits. WHY is my question, please answer.
Now, please hear the insult to injury here, I have been constantly calling the call center's through 12134 and raising my query, every time I call them the only help they do is to say, " Sir we understand your problem, we have raised your complaint and our backend team will get back to you in 48 hours", It has now been more than 5 days that I am waiting to hear from them and till now NO CALL. WHY is my question!
This is the situation of your 3G service and customer care. If possible please help me even if you do not help me, please do not make false promises to your other customer, I understand that customer are certainly at the lowest level in the value chain of Airtel organisation and my case is certainly making it more and more evident.
I apologise if anything written above is inappropriate, it is just a customer anger on the lack of service it is promised and it pays too, but has not idea why he doesn't get it.

I met a sales executive named Venu in my office DNETS, VTP, Electronic city, Bangalore. He provided me with a Airtel No. after submitting the documents and making a cash payment of Rs. 300. Till date the No. is not activated. The SIM is lying with me and I think that Airtel sells there SIM for which they do so many documentation & verification but, finally leave it without any care for the customer's money and there own name.
I was an Airtel Pre-paid user. But four days before applied for airtel postpaid connection I submitted all the necessary document and caution money of 500 rs., but still i don't get connection. They are delaying unnecessary. I think airtel have worst customer care service.
Airtel customer care is one of the worst service. After i close my service also they deducted amount 3 months... they mis used my ECS declaration. I've given so many complaints... reminders... they never allowed me to talk to higher management... just robbing the customers.

firstly i dont know who is srikanth and i dint use any postpaid no till now. i am using idea from long time its prepaid. i had taken one new no recently its also prepaid this is docomo, for this number he is calling.
if someone is taken a no in his id proof, he is responsible for that. i dont know why he is calling me and telling me to pay the bill and if not he would fail 420 case against me. he is disturbing my work by calling.

I RECHARGED 50 RS. ON 10.3.2010, THAT WAS AN OFFER, IN THAT OFFER RECHARGE WITH 50 RS TODAY and WILL GET about 65 RS AS TALKTIME. MY MOBILE NO. IS [protected]. But to my shocker I got only rupees 1 recharge. The airtel retailer mentioned me that this offer is for some free calls. Please note that I am feeling cheated by this as I came to know about this offer from *121*1# and accordingly recharged. Request you to please have the recharge of 65 talktime as proposed immediately to my number.

worst service, followup and escalation management
I have extreme bad experience with Airtel recently
I had a land line and broadband connection from Airtel. I requested for shifting the equipment and fixing it to the new place I moved into in Oct l2011
Airtel team confirmed 26th Oct to be the day they would close this. Since then I have been receiving calls from Airtel asking me for appoint ment to fix the same however no one turns up. There are calls from some Airtel teams to me saying that they are not getting permission to set up the new connection in the new buliding which is a story created by Airtel field services team as there are lot of families in the same building with Airtel landline and net enabled in the same building.
Every time there is someone who calls says the same story. When I have enquired who the person is stopping you in fixing the same they dont have any answwr
Overall when I call up customer service the escalation time is 15 -20 mins wait time. Complaints are not registered on request. Assurances are made by Airtels so called escalation handling managers but no point.
Airtel has no value for its customers. I have names and numbers of all people who have assured me of fixing the problem but in vain.

I want to stop my service at Airtel Mobile for the No. [protected]. But, the company is not allowing me for the same.
I am a very loyal Airtel Customer for the last 7-8 years.
I use their mobile connections, DSLs, and Telephone lines. All put together my monthly billing with Airtel is around Rs.[protected].
Being a business owner I travel overseas pretty often. Everytime I activate International Roaming with Data barred and have not had an issue with their billing. My monthly cellphone bill is always under Rs.2000.
I travelled to Dubai, UAE from Oct 1 - Oct 19th, 2011 and when I received my bill on 21st October, I was shocked to see that the total charges were around Rs.5000. I was 100% sure that this was not possible since I keep a track of ALL calls received and made on International Roaming.
I very categorically remembered that I had made just 2 calls (one local with Dubai and one to my father in India). I had received 2 calls. Unfortunately, oth of them were wrong numbers :(.
So I filed a complaint with Airtel. The complaint number was [protected] and I was promised a resolution by the coming Tuesday. On Monday evening I received a call from an Airtel executive asking about my issue. And to my surprise his first question was
"Sir, aap kitna pay karna chahte hain." As if they are trying to do a settlement. I told him very clearly that I will surely pay for all the calls that I have made and received irrespective of their amounts. But I will not pay a cent for anything which I have not done. So the question of settlement does not arise. To this he said that he would then need to talk his "seniors" on the issue and revert back to me. After that there was no call. I received 2 SMS alerts mentioning that Airtel was trying to call me from a particular number and that they would call back again. I tried calling back the number that was given in the SMS but it seemed to be call out number only.
After a few days I called up Customer Service to enquire about the status and to my surprise the case was closed as all call charges were found to be valid and since I was not contactable.
As can be seen from the attached call log (actual number hidden due to privacy concerns), calls received from 112 are all crap. What kind of a number is 112. The outgoing call log also indicates calls made to [protected], which is the number for retrieving voice mails. FIrst, nobody's a fool to retrieve voice mails when on International Roaming. Secondly, if at all I were to call voice mail service the call would surely last longer than shown in the call log. I won't be calling for 5 seconds and then dialling again after a few seconds for 5 seconds.
All this surely seems to be an error in billing and that is being covered up by saying that all charges are valid and that I am not contactable.
So my sincere suggestion to all Airtel Users. DO NOT USE AIRTEL CELLPHONES ON INTERNATIONAL ROAMING. ITS A BLOODY RIPOFF.

I have two airtel connection in Indore one is 0731+4035063 i have paide 3849/- Rs.by receipt no. 357330, dt.1/7/11 in advance f0r 5 months payment for un limited internet use and 1 month extended free internet rent there for for 6 month, but from 1 st month i am receiving bill to pay more amount, even i have made 2 complaints, but my airtel land line phone is also disconnected, i cant make call from 3 months my complaint no. is 2331858 and 4925794, all resposible oficer of airtell told me we are solving your problem but they are not doing same, they are avoiding to solve my problem because they know they have my advance payment i cant do any thing.
another my new internet connection with tel. phone conection having account no. [protected], in this bill of airtel have Added 250 Rs. instalatin charges which i have paid in advance to airtell by receipt no. 8014, some gaurav of airtel having cell no. [protected] have given me this receipt.

Till date Airtel is unable to solve this issue ( I registered this complaint on 6th July 2010) and i'm getting lot of calls from Airtel. I am surprised with the servicing quality of Airtel - even you are unable to process a simple request.
I'm frequently getting calls from Airtel from 6th of July (Numbers are - [protected], [protected], [protected] ) asking about the issue and after explaining everything in detail also you are unable to solve this issue.
6th of July onwards my account is suspended (Please check the conversation I had with your executive on the same day to know the commitment she made). But still I'm getting call to pay my bill. I made all payments till July and i don't have any idea for what you are charging - even i'm not getting bills.
last week i got the information that you are unable to shift my account because of feasibility problems. But till date no service engineers from your side visited my home to check the same and after 3 months only you are providing me this reason.
I'm requesting you to check my conversations with your executives reg this complaint - i trust that you are recording the same. I made all these from my mobile phone number [protected].
I received acknowledgement mail from Airtel after sending my mail dated 1st August, 2010 @ 5:46 PM. But there is no reply for these mail also.
So, i'm again requesting you to do the needful to solve this issue (I already purchased another broad band connection, so I do not want to continue with Airtel)
Hope some action will take place after this mail.

This is in relation with my Airtel Landline Number - [protected] and Complaint reference number 205436.
One month back i requested for shifting the instrumet to my new house. That time one lady attended and committed that within 20 days airtel will do re installation, this delay is due to technical up gradation. i accepted that and after 20 days also there was no informations from Airtel.
Last week again i tried - one Mr. Ganesh attended the call he committed that airtel service engineer will come within 24 hours. I waited for three 24 hours, after 72 hours i called customer care again. In customer care, after telling the reason they are simply disconnecting the call. In my third attempt one "Manager" (he introduced himself like that, i think his name is Mr. Vivek) attended and i informed him to cancel my connection. He committed that he will do the same and i will get a call back from Airtel before today 12 PM, because his colleague was not in seat.
Again Today 05:11 PM i tried to contact customer care. But the same thing happend. After hearing the complaint they simply disconnected the call.
(You can check all the calls I made to Airtel customer care and please evaluate the respect they are giving to their commitment.I believe that you are recording all these calls for future reference.)
Now i want to cancel my Airtel Broadband connection, because of the poor service. As i'm unable to talk to your customer care executive, please consider this as my confirmed request for cancellation. Please provide me the cancellation request number via return mail and you can come and collect the instrument. If i'm correct, there is no pending payment from my side.
As i'm going to apply for another service provider's broad band connection, i won't be ready to continue with Airtel.

deducting rs.5 (five) everyday for the service I do not know
From october 29th 2011 rupees five is being deducted from my account by the service provider. I contacted customer care executive by dialing 121. they told me that mobile office has been activated so i'll have to dial *567*2# to disconnect from the service. I dialled but then also the money was deducted simultaneously. I again contacted customer care executive having the same reply. now, from last three days when I'm daililg 121 to connect customer care executive the call is directly diverted to *121# with no response and fiftey paise is deducted every time. today ruppess forty has been deducted from my account and when I treid to call 121 same diverted response was found. I'Ve never asked for such service which I'Ve been charged for. please help.

I have submitted my documents for airtel money and paid Rs. 75 for airtel money activation by 17/10/2011 1:30 PM with silverline networks collection center at Ascendas IT Park, Taramani and was under the impression it will get activated in 4 hours. After multiple follow ups with customer care and the retailer it happened by 19/10/2011 around 6:00 PM and i was told in another 7 working days gold member activation will happen after address and id verfication. I was under the impression it may not happen so, as the delay caused in the normal activation itself. So, i was checking with customer care for tracking the status on a daily basis as i was looking to avail an offer from Viveks which will get expired in a week time. But i was always getting the same reply (replay) that the activate will happen in 7 working days and there is no status tracking at their end. To my surprise, i got an SMS saying the address proof is still not received by airtel money and asked me re-submit the same. So, i called the customer care to help me out and they directed me to go to the retailer or re-submit with another dealer. When, i asked with customer care itself to follow up and help, they told this is not in their context as the document itself is not received. I have already lost a week's time and still the process itself is not started. This is mainly due to silverline networks form processing issues. Now, i have to follow up with them. I am not sure whether my account will get activated before the offer expiry.

I am Naresh .My no is [protected].I have been using this number since 2007 i think so .I have submitted the proof of my brother's voter ID at that time and later i have bought duplicate sim before a year with the proof of myself which was accepted . Now the problem is i forget my mpin of my airtel money account, when i called the customer care they asked my proof name i explained clearly about proof's but no proper response .They said me to check my proof name, where do i go and check ..They dont even know to handle customers . Feel to change network because i need money account for business purpose..
airtel network problem : hpcl pampore
Hindustan petroleum corp. Ltd, srinagar has switched over from bsnl to airtel under corporate cug plan. The reason for change was to get better coverage of network as the signal level used to be very weak inside our office building situated at nh-1a pampore, j&k. However we are again facing same problem with airtel network also. The signal level is very weak and people often complaint that our mobile phones are always coming out of reach causing inconvenience to our customers. Since supply of petroleum products come under essential commodity act, hence our communication system has to be always upto mark. Airtel representatives also faced same network problem at our office when they came for completing documental formalities for taking new airtel connections.
I have written first email to all the executives of m/s airtel j&k and m/s ericsson j&k on 27.07.2011 with 10 followup email till date but no one in airtel/ericsson seems to be interested in sorting out our issue.
Please do something so that we get a relief

When your Engg. visited our HPCL location on Wed, 10 Aug 2011 (first survey), I have even showed the space where you could install the equipment.Then how come goahead is required.It was already given on said date. I had been using an activated SIM bearing no -[protected] since 27th Sept'11. At the time of purchasing the retailer (Barabhuja Electricals, Bhubaneswar-30) had taken all the relevant documents with due signatures of mine. I was happy to get internet networks through Airtel. But suddenly on 9th Oct'11 SIM has been blocked without any intimation of reason to me. I had been moving from pillar to post to get the SIM reactivated. To my asking of the reason to retailer when he forwarded it to distributor at Baramunda, they said the signature of mine was not matching. I got this response ultimately moving after 4 days of disconnection and my repeated contact to the retailer-distributor. Yesterday when I personally went to the distributor's office to sort out the problem they said the SIM has been barred. I could not understand such kind of indifference of AIRTEL company. Without any intimation of reason how come the customer will know that signature was not matching or any other problems of SIM deactivation ?
