Airtel just knows how to extract money—service is poor
I have 3 connections of airtel one landline ([protected]) and two mobiles.
Myself and my husband were made to pay the same bill therby extracting twice the ampount of payment by airtel chennai. Without any notice my phone was disconnected and one guy called me saying ur phone connection will be restored if u pay instantly. One guy turned up and I paid him 1004 cash. I told my husband regarding this and he said he also had already paid airtel thru on-line payment. I called up airtel about duplicate payment and said I want a refund. The lady on the other end was uncouteous and just making me believe its my mistake to pay whereas they only have some links with some collection agency which just extracts money from people. That airtel person didn't even have courtesy to tell me that they will take care and somehow adjust the extra sum against next bill.
This is the second time it has happened. Last year also there was duplicate payment and it was not adjusted.
Airtel should employ people who are able to listen and solve the problems rather than just showing customers they are invaluable

Dear Sir - I am writing this complaint on behalf of my Brother in Law Dr.P.Ratnavelu .M.D., of Chennai India .
He is using Airtel prepaid card @ Chennai - India and his mobile No. is
0091-[protected] - He is using the above said mobile for more than 5 years - When Air Tel company issued the sim card his address and other proof have been verified and issued -
When he left to Hongking and New Zealand for short trip he applied for International Prepaid roaming card and after paying the Deposit amount
and after verifying his address proof they have issued prepaid roaming card which he has used it only in Hongkong - after reaching Auckland - NZ he was not able to use the same and when contacted Airtel office at Chennai - India they replied that they have deactivated since the address provided was wrong - I am surprised when the International roaming card given it was activated and how suddenly it got deactivated when the Dr. reached Auckland - Dr was not able to contact his people in India and elsewhere and he underwent such a stress - Now after reaching Chennai - India he contacted Airtel Office and he was informed that the address given by the Dr. is wrong - I wonder such a big company would do such a mistake putting the Dr. a big problem - I wish that the company should give an correct explanation and refund the amount with a apology letter - thanks -Jayaraman Madanagopal on behalf of Dr.P.Ratnavelu of Chennai - India

not able to pay bill online and not receiving any reply from customer care
I have moved out of India and due to urgency and other factors I was not able to pay my bill for Airtel number [protected].
As nobody is using this phone after I left, I contacted airtel customer care through email and asked them the procedure for bill payment of outstanding bill online and closing the connection.
In reply they sent me the process but that process of bill payment was giving error as Invalid number. I reverted them that this process of bill payment is giving error. In reply they sent me an acknowledgement number of the complain.
Then, after waiting for someday, I tried again to pay the bill. But it is giving the same error. I am following up with the airtel customer care from last 2 months but they are not replying to my mail. Last reply i received from them was 2 months earlier and that was the acknowledgement number.
Can somebody help me out of this situation as I don't want to keep any debt in my name back home (India).

wrong balance deduction - scam

Kindly investigate and take the matter to Police. Someone calling and claiming that he is calling from Airtel office, Bandra. I purchased a calling card online (with the telemarketeer walking me thru this on phone). however after I put in my credit card number and pressed submit, a message popped up saying the transaction was approved. I did not receive a calling card access code or number. The telmarketeer gave me an accesss number [protected] and promised to call me back in 30 minutes with the access code. I am still waiting for the access code.
The charges were instantly applied to my card.
By the way this is not the same company as Airtel in India and you get an answering machine asking you to leave a message from the 24 hour customer service.

Hey Guys, There is a way to track them to check they are fraud or not.
Very simple way to do this
1) Ask him to email you with whatever said to you on phone
2) Give his number, and extension, they only give you extension of 405.
Guess what, each agent gives same extension. But it never works, When you said that it never work, He will say try to call me. that time He will pick up the phone. But after while No body will pick up the phone.
3) You can call after few hours, No body pick up the phone.
4) If you email them about complient, No body will call you, but if you email them that i want to recharge, They will keep Calling you.
The moral of this story is.. They are fraud. They are some kind of beggars who are running this company. You can see their english level and professional level like beggars.

Now today i again i email him & someone told me he is not working anymore..
The gusy says I saw your email that you sent to Arun. So i asked give me your email so i can sent you. so he said, You can email to Aurn, I said, he is not working anymore with you, Why should i email him. He said i am working in customer care so i can't check email, but he can check email of Arun. He wasn't ready to give me his email address nor his phone number. Its all [censor]

couldnot get any network while on international roaming in uae
I recharged my connection no - [protected] for inr.333.00 on 07/12/2009 while I was on domestic roaming at ranchi, india but immediately inr.96.00 was deducted. On enquiry, it was informed to me that the amount was deducted for the activation of international roaming though no request was made either by me or any member of my family. But I didnot object because I was supposed to proceed to uae by 20th december, 2009. However on reaching uae, I couldnot access any network i. E. Etisalat or du. I took this postpaid conection few days back for which they asked for address verification. I provided with everything and gave them a day to come and veruify the address. I put everything correctly but they enetered my address incorrectly in their database. Some person from Airtel called me and told that we came to your hoem but you was not there so please give us time when can we come and verify address. I gave them time. After few days they send me a letter to my office about the postpaid plan and my rental things on which there was wrong address. I complaint to customer care that addres you wrote is wrong then where you went. They said sorry and corrected the address in their database. After 2-3 days I got a call for address verification and when I will be available. I told them to come on weekend and specifiy the time. Nobody came to house to verify my address. Now suddenly they barred my outgoing service. I went to Airtel outlet and tell them the problem. The desk people talked so rudely and asked that your address was not verified and so service barred, I told that nobody came to address verification for which they replied that a person came to your house on Monday (which was a regular working day and which I dint metnion to meet me) and he dint find you. I tried to explain that it is my office day how can I be at home and also dint come on my told time, for which desk people replied very rudely and said no change can be done to your service and we are cancelling your number. Even its not my mistake but those guys are putting all things on my head saying why was you not there, give some idiots a thought that how a bachelor working person can be at home on workign day.
They are not ready to help for anything. Its like a mentla harassment, I just cancel my old number and gave this number to everybody and if they cancel again I have to cahnge my number. Is for this type of service BHARTI AIRTEL will be proud of ?

I am a customer of airtel for more than 10 years and more or less always received good service from airtel. Now when I have taken cug connection for my company I have received severely bad behaviour from a senior sales officer mr. Palash biswas ([protected]) kolkata (Bharti airtel service limited saltlake).
I would like to mention the series of incidents that had happened. Though now I have totally lost hope to get any cooperation from airtel however still being such an old customer I thought of informing airtel. I had taken the cug connection from a sales executive named gautam sengupta ([protected]). The day I took the connection his senior mr. Palash biswas also accompanied him.
I took the connections on 20.11.2009 and I asked them to activate only 4 connections the same day and the rest 2 in january 2010. Once they took all my documents they activated all the connections without my permission.
Later when I denied the verification they called me and requested me to adjust as they said that they have to meet their target for that month. But I never imagined that to meet up their target they can be so unprofessional. And they also said certain other things that they would do if I cooperate with them to meet up their targets. If this letter of mine receives proper response then I will share all the incidents with airtel in details.
I agreed to it because I never thought that I would receive such behaviour. Initially they promised me the 199 cug plan and then after activating they said that it will be the 249 plan but they have arranged for 20% discount which would make my monthly rental 199. However when I receive my bill statement I find the 249 plan remains the same. When I contacted the concerned person several times but they behaved very badly with me especially your senior sales officer repeatedly.. After this incident I feel cheated.
Are targets the only factor for you¿ll employee satisfaction is nothing.
Due to this misbehaviour I have not yet paid the bill. If you wish you can check the call logs or do whatever you want to investigate my complaint. I was supposed to take more 20 connections this month but unfortunately that would not happen because I will make the payment and close all the connections. It is very painful to have experienced such behaviour from airtel.
I have escalated the matter and I will escalate it further to the head office I don t know how much it will be taken care off but at least as a loyal customer I expect some kind of good behaviour from you guys and not face such bitter experiences. Trust me here money is not the issue; the issue is the behaviour which is very disappointing.

i really agree with MRSuranjan Kumar Ghose i have also been using airtel connection for quite sometime. at that time getting the best cug plans were difficult. the airtel manager who did my cug plan took bribe for each connection. i did not mind paying coz i was saving a lot of money that time, but its actually the company s fault coz for quite some time before they were enjoying a kind of monopoly. my current cug plan is very expensive compared to the normal airtel plans. i had called them so many time but they did not change my plan on the pretext that call your cug manager. i had taken the connection around 7-8 years back, i did not remember the managers name or detail. i wanted to change my plan desperately but this company did not. i could not change the service provider coz this number is very important to me. now i am just waiting when this mobile portability starts and i shift to some other service provider with better deal.

Airtel is a leading leading telecommunication company in India. Seeing their advertisement in USA, I opened an account in Airtel Call Home One India Plan, paying $10 last week. On the day of opening this account, I was able to make a call to India and after that, I am not able make a call to India. In the last three days I have been trying to talk to the customer care number [protected] but this number does not work; voice says that this number does not exist. Mails to the customer care, [protected]@airtelcallhome.com, are not responded. In my account there is a balance still. With this, I wish to make a complaint to the company and to share my sad and bad experience with Airtel with other prospective buyers of this Airtel Plan for making a call to India.

not letting to unregister my mobile no
I tried to unregister my mobile number from Airtel call home services and the customer support persons are not able to unregister. They said they can never unregister a number from their database as its out of their policy. Can we fight legally to get my number removed from their services? please help me in unregistering.

So please do not charge from my account. I hate your service. If you charge from my account, I will take action by consumer court. So cancel my subscription. I am not like your service.

same is the problem with me!they are deducing my balance like hell!
Some of my friends and me are airtel subscribers and are going through this(false subscription) for a while, When i was getting msgs from 555630 i thought where the hell did they come from, suddenly kept on losing the balance, when i called the customer care 121, its tricky they dont want customers talking directly to operator, instead offer stupid options.When i registered the complaint the operator told i had called 555630 and subscribed the services but i havent done it .They are trying to fool people in broad daylight.They can keep on cheating the consumers.But we should sue them in consumer courts, it requires some people to gather some forum so that we can fight this together.

This complaint is regarding download and activation of hello tune fraudulently by airtel customer care. On 26th dec at around 8:00 pm two sms arrived on my phone stating deduction of Rs.15 for downloading and Rs. 10 for 10 days subscription which took my balance to below Rs.-4.58. All this occurred without me even requesting any hello tune from customer care. Since I was on journey that night in a rural area i could not get another recharge despite of the fact that I faced an emergency that night and was not able to make a call because of this fraud by Airtel. Upon contacting Airtel customer care the next day I was told that there was a call made to the customer care from my no. on 26th dec at around 8:02 pm in which the request for hello tune was made. On hearing this I argued that I had never downloaded any hello tune or subscribed for a hello tune since last one year. When I said that the whole conversation is being recorded by me for producing it as a proof in consumer forum, he explained how the hello tune can be removed and gave an assurance of correcting up things by 12:00 on 29th dec and gave me a Complaint Id no.459400. Being an IT engineer I was myself a loyal customer of Airtel earlier and was even going to recommend its Data services for my firm, but now no more. It's not just a matter of Rs. 25 but a matter of trust that these people are losing. I used to trust airtel because of its unmatched service and coverage in Bihar and Jharkhand and availability of network in rural areas even during lightning and thunderstorm when all other service providers switched off their towers in our area including BSNL Reliance, Tata, Idea but what happened on 26th came as a shock to me. As a result I have stopped relying on Airtel now and would be reconsidering my plans to use Airtel's data services for my firm. Hope somebody from airtel sees this post or I would be compelled to go to consumer forum for redressal. My contact no. is [protected].
