Airtel is truly becoming a thief.
On 26 Dec I received a message stating Airtel Friends chat is activated on my number. Rs 30/month is also charged from my balance.
It also stated that to cancel subscription call 543216. I called this number (which is not toll free. you are charged for calling on this number.) but was unable to find how to unsubscribe.
Then I called 121 and the customer care told me that I subscribed to this service by calling 543216. That idiot did not understand that I called 543216 in because I wanted to unsubscribe as the service was activated without my request.
Also they are unwilling to return my Rs 30.
I hope TRAI takes notice of such malpractices of Airtel. What a thief company.

I took Airtel corporate connection but my outgoing has been barred since 8 days due to my home address not getting verified. i lodged this complaint with the executive and it has been more than 10 days that nobody came for verification. the executive from whom I took the connection is Sheshadri (mob: [protected]). I was asked that I should drop a mail and my reverification will be done. I was told daily that the executive for reverification will come tomorrow. i mentioned the time when I can be available at home but nobody ever came. Nothing happened for 10 days, nobody came for the reverification and now my incoming is also barred. I have tried talikng to this man but he doen't take my call now and my number is inactivated. i have atteched the mails that I repeatedly sent and recieved no response.

Airtel is a lousy service provider. They make money just by selling the prepaid sim card to the agents. The agents are incharge of collecting document. Once the service provider gets the signal they will not request any detail with the agent rather they will disconnect ur outgoing services.
They call them self no 1 cellphone company in india
I think and request all not to bur airtel better service for little more money with vodaphone

no proper service from the executives and managers

I have applied for the broadband and telephone connection through one of the dsa from jayanagar, on 12th nov 2009, as per there commitment they informed it wil take 1 week to install the broadband and fixed line connection, and after almost 8 days later they informed that broadband connection cannot be given... This issue was carried further and it was raised to higher authority, the manager names are ms. Suhana, mr. Satish sanghia, none of the people responded as per the executive, information no managers took the initiative and sorted the issue, other executive from bommanahalli branch came and informed that they will get the connection and committed that it will be done in 4-5 working days. The executive name is durrai murugan and his manager name is mr. Suresh they have taken cheque from me and not responding me, and later on the executive name by mr. Prashanth r channel manager-sales came with new plan as pri-ilp connection and informed that it will take 21 days for ilp connection, where as pri connection will be done within 1 week and I also spoke with the manager of prashanth he name is ms. Suhana, even she gave me the same commitment of one week, but still there is no response, I have paid amount of 15000 through cheque, this people do not respond me, whenever I call they inform me that they will get back to me and find no response I had applied for this connection on 4th of dec 2009. They informed me that the connection will happen today but no response, the executive do not receive my call and the manager's no is busy always, they do not have courtesy to call back and find what's the issue, I onece again hereby humbally request to take action on this people who give wrong commitments for the customers. I am facing lots of problem and huge losses because of this wrong commitment.

I Deepak B. Suthar, one of your customer having mobile no: [protected](Prepaid). I want to launch a complaint for against your dealer.
I have received a call around 3months back from Miss Riya from malad office to convert my scheme from prepaid to postpaid of PLAN 199 & she has given me proposal of 30paise airtel to airtel & around 50 paise other network & she has demanded Rs. 300 for the same which I agreed to pay & I have paid the same on the next day & my documents for the same. But after a few days I come to know that this scheme was actually not available in the market, & Ria just fooling me just to capture the customer.
I am doing followup on the same & I m frustrated in this follow up. In this also I have already spent around Rs. 400 or so approximately & I have wasted my time in doing so.
After few days Mr. Raj called up & he gaves me the confirmation for activation of scheme. But now he is neither giving me any response to my phone nor he is cancelling that proposal & not refunding the same amount.

I'm the victim of Airtel Fraud and lost almost everything except life.
This is because,
Aitel is not at all bother about the customer security.
Customer data and his calling information can very very easily shared to any body at any time by the airtel staff for the sake of some bribe.
The most IMP thing:
AIRTEL STAFF CAN SHARE CUSTOMER INFO TO ANY BODY AND THERE IS NO TRACE MECHANISM AT AIRTEL TO FIND WHO SHARED CUSTOMER INFO THE UN-AUTHORIZED PERSON.
My Case:
My Contact details and My billing Address and My Calling Numbers and Call timings ...etc all together with Itemized bill information is shared to other person without my knowledge.
I always receive my monthly itemized bill though mail and I got same for the month July.
But Another (original bill) copy of the same bill is issued to other person without my knowledge.
It is not like he stolen my login and password. As I didn't shared with any body.
The other person knows only my number and got my itemized bill printout in his hand.
I shocked...! .
I Called Airtel customer care 121, found an irresponsible answer.
The answer is, we don't know how the information shared, may be you shared the password and other than this it is not possible.
How can I make them understand that I didn't shared the password as I too didn't remember or keep it, I will get new password every time I login and delete the password sms.
He also told strongly that there is no way to trace who login to which number from their staff.
The other person proudly boasting and shouting he have such links with airtel that he can grab any body's information at any time if he is an Airtel customer.
What a great challenge towards poor Airtel security...!
The only chance is he (the other person) moves very very close with Airtel staff. Im confident that the Airtel staff missused their logins.They got my information through their logins as they authorized and shared it to the other person.
Bad luck is Airtel does not have any tracing mechanism to their staff logins. So They can very easily share any information to any body.

I have used many calling cards, but I have never came across as useless calling card like that of airtel. The call gets dropped every now and then.
Moreover, for getting my account activated, I had to call their customer service and after endless number of calls, came across a guy who said to call later as their system was down. You can easily judge the performance of their calling card if you try to visit their site which is down or tortoise slow most of the times.
Please go for reliance, its a more than 100% better bet and a value for money.

My airtel sim had lifetime validity. In May it just stopped working and the mobile status shown SIM CARD REGISTERATION FAILED.
It is my permanent no. for the last 7 years. All my contacts are on it.
I visited the airtel customer care office, Gandhi nagar, Delhi, they were told to call 999 from their help desk phone and there receiver told me that my mobile number has been deleted from their list and they cannot activate the no. as it is not used for long. But this no. has been allotted to someone else. How can you issue this phone no. to someone else I am a permanent user of yours.
What of the loss I had incurred as all my clients have that no?
Now a day’s airtel has introduced a new way of earning money. Once it sells a sim card to any customer with one to two year validity and within one month it takes back the no. and the sim card shows the message SIM CARD REGISTRATION FAILED. And after six months the same no. is again available for sale. Is this not a fraud to the customer? And when asked with customer care the same problem they say that nothing can be done. So, by which rule Airtel is selling the same no. to different customers within a span of one year when the no. is sold to one customer for one or two year?

1. I have written several emails , visited their customer care centres received back their confirmations and assurances but still the problem continues. Its that i am getting billing with my Ex staff name along with my company name. I Have requested them to delete my ex staff name as the cell connection is in companies name, co. is paying the bill and we dont want any individual name on each bill and that also of my ex staff. I have three mobile connections.
2.There were very weak signals in my office area. Altogether we had taken 9 connections at one time.i.e.[protected]/63/64/65/66/67/68/69. They promised us with good signal receivers which they did so but recently from last nearly 2 months we are again facing signal problem. We have to rush out from our office to have clear conversation. Or many times we have to disconnect the call coming and dial from land line to the person. We have complained several times, faxed them a complain letter also but all efforts seems to going in drain.They dont believe in good service it seems.
For last 4 wks or so a person is complaining of receiving one SMS (early in the morning) daily on his mobile -- neither the other person knows me nor I know him! The other person receives SMS daily at 6am, even if my mobile is switched off overnight.
This is happening even when I am not sending any SMS to any person at all.
I requested Airtel to correct this issue: after several calls to their call center I was able to register my complaint. Then they started strange tricks to solve the problem - like changing SMS center numbers (in my phone), chaging the equipment etc. Nothing worked and the other party continued to receive SMS.
I escalated the problem up to appellate of Airtel, but of no avail. After passing a lot of time, now they say that first get FIR registered and then Airtel will proceed to check what is happening in THEIR network.
This is extremely disappointing to see their carelessness, delayed response and ignorance.
I think now I will have to change my number!

In june 2017 i requested to airtel t disconnect my phone because i have to go abroad for six months but someone from customer care suggested me not to dsconnec it and change it in voice plan which was 180 per months. In october 2017 they changed my plan 349 per months without intimating me. On 5th March 2017 i came back from australia and called to airtel for internet connection on the same number and asked for why they changed my plan . Afte this they said to me to give Rs.200 refund in next bill and give me the date 15 March 2017 at 11:40 to continue my intenet connection. On 15/3/2017 i got a call from Mr. Raj Kumar Sharma, sr. officer sales mob no. [protected], that they need any id of me and i said to him to come home and take it. In the evening he told me about a new bundle plan and said that connection will available next day and disconnect my previous plan. I agreed but after three days he was unable to provide me new connection and i called to customer care to cancel my order (CEF No.657024) and as well as to disconnect my prevoius no.[protected]( ref no. 1399764). On the same day at 9:15pm he came and provided me a new connection on my mother smt Krishna Devi's name ([protected]). From then I requested several times to disconnect the previous no. [protected] but there is no response from your company. the cutomer care attend my call and give me everytime a new ref no and say to me within seven days your connection will be disconnected but situation is still same. I am getting bills without giving me refund of Rs.200. Ref nos. are [protected], 1457335 and on 07/05/2017 miss Aarti attended my call and she gave me another ref no. [protected] and dissconnected the phone without listen to me fully. Now I want to dissconnect my both nos. and [protected] and [protected]. IFf these nos. will not disconnected within seven days then i'll go to consumer court.

As i've mentioned in my previous 6 mails starting from 24-dec-2017, & i've not got the answer for the following questions yet:-
1) please produce the call log or mail where i've asked airtel to resume the connection on 06-aug-2017.
2) when I requested to get it the connection disconnected permanently then why my number was temporary disconnected on 03-august-2017 & not permanently disconnected ? The 'attached' mail confirmation from airtel never said its going to get disconnected temporarily!
Airtel failed to communicate to me that the service is resumed..
3) why it was resumed on 06-august-2017 ?
I've also mentioned, in past airtel charged me twice for several months thrice before accepting & returning it.. I am sure, it the complete failure of airtel's various department to interact & communicate among them self or its a new means to extract money from customer..
Since i've produced all the evidences & wrote some 6-8 mail from 24-dec-12, till date no concrete answer came from airtel. It seems airtel does not want to investigate its own failure & simply shooting mails. I'll not pay any thing to airtel & have decided to move this matter to consumer court.
As a preventive measure, I will spread the awareness among my company & friends to be aware about the airtel fraud..

Airtel is one of the best dth we were looking for long time. Its has fun, clarity and good customer service
Clarity:-
The clarity of airtel is one of the best when compared to all the dth at present in india.
Pixelation is very less when compared to all dth
Audio quality is awesome, none of the dth can provide the audio quality as airtel. You can connect it to audio system and enjoy the good digital sound.
Cost:- the cost of packages is little costlier but we have to compramise with the quality. Now there are lots of topups available. Especially for sports lover max sports top up for 99rs excellent top up which contains all sports channel like espn, star, zee, ten, neo cricket, star cricket, neo sports. So you can choose regional pack and choose sports pack which becomes cheaper.
Customer care:- its is one of the best customer I have ever seen. They r well equiped and they r well trained about dth, and they are update of all packages. The customer care as good as airtel mobile. If you are a airtel customer then its toll free to contact them. Sending sms to add channels, topup, to know your balance and order your movie are absolutly toll free. Where as other dth you need to pay 3rs/sms.
Interactive services are also better and good. Especially widgets which appear on the side of the tv screen enables you to update with latest stock news, flash news, cricket news and temperature in your city.
Especially isports airtel has signed with sports gaint espn so well will interactive sports for all cricket icc tounaments.
Epg of airtel is good, they are updated very quick and are fast.
Signal strength is good. Airtel digital tv performance during rain is far better when compared to all the dth in indian market.
So dont have doubt whether to buy airtel digital tv or not
Its no question digital tv will rule dth in 2010 like they reached 1billion in mobile service

reg: reimbursement of excess amount deducted from credit card towards post paid connection
Dear sir / madam,
I had a post paid connection with airtel number [protected] for which I had given standing instructions for payments through my hdfc bank credit card no. Ends with... 8207. As I lost my cell phone, I surrendered the above number to airtel office at mathikere, hmt main road, bangalore, on 17th july 2008, by paying rs.320 / - which was due as on date. Since then I had been receiving the bill statements which were showing due payments. When I approached airtel office where I surrendered the number, they told they will look in to the matter and asked me to ignore the bill statements as it is settled in advance; but I was shocked to know that the bill payments have been made from my credit card for extra 4 months after surrendering the sim card. Immediately I approached my banker and cancelled the standing instructions given for the above said number.
I have been asking for the reimbursement of the excess amount (Rs.1300 / - apprx) which was credited to airtel from my credit card, but airtel authorities are not responding properly instead they are giving flying answers. I have produced all documentary proofs (Acknowledgment for surrendering the no. , credit card statements etc. ) to airtel office at mathikere but nobody has taken any action on this. I asked airtel to check the credits pertaining to the above no. After the date of surrendering the no. Whereas, from last 1 year they are telling they have not yet reconciled the account. I really wonder how a reputed company like airtel can not maintain a simple account of customers! Even after one year they have failed to give a proper reply to my request. I am working for a reputed company in bangalore as a finance manager where more than 500 employees are using airtel corporate connection. Now I am afraid to continue the service with your company on experiencing such a bad service!
I request the concerned authorities to check and rectify the error in account and reimburse the excess amount at the earliest. Your earlier action in this regard may highly appreciated.

After getting, he said, I will activate with in 3 or 4 days. Now almost 8 days over. He not responding to any of the call. I am very much angry on him and with airtel. I have been getting wired promotional messages from airtel for more than 50 days. For which i've requested them repeatedly to stop any kind of promotional messages. the call center executive said that your request will be processed in 45 days, but even after completing more than 50 days, I am getting these messages even more frequently. They are so disturbing and and now started creating stress. I'm aware that TRAI Ombudsman give 45 days time to stop these messages. Please guide ...
I am facing the problem of call drop and network connectivity at my home from December 2008. I have put the complaints various times at 121 customer care no. but every time CCE were listening the complete problem but on the basis of their feedback, no one bothered to respond.

relocating dth connection
i like to transfer my DTH connection from banglore to pondicherry, for this, on 08-11-09(Sunday) i requested for transfer by calling airtel customer care. They asked me to recharge my account, i recharged for 500 Rs.
They said it will be done by 3 PM [protected]). But till today(15-11-09) nobody has come. No steps have been taken.
In this one week i called for 4 times, everytime they are saying the same thing "will be done today"

I have similar compliant - but this time directly with Airtel DTH.
I had booked connection online on 20/11/09 for delivery and installation on 21/11/09 (in Mumbai, western suburbs).
This is no call, no delivery and obviously no one has turned up for any installation. I made three calls to their call centre on 21/11/09, every time being asked to wait for "some more time", which has no real definition of time! On asking for cancellation, the call centre rep turns into a blackmailer, saying "your amount of Rs. 1, 750 is not refundable" It seems that this is a standard company policy of first committing a date / time and taking money, and then poor consumer has to wait as the amount is not refundable. Maybe their justification is - What is a delay of few days! And, what is the problem in the consumer having to cancel all other engagements and remain stuck at home, waiting for the promised visit of an Airtel engineer!
My Tata Sky connection in living room is working fine, there was no such problem. Now that I compare them with Airtel, their service is heavenly!

This is Pratik. Same thing has happened with me twice. Customer service does not respond to our calls. Sometimes we do not even get connected.
Daily i receive 'friends chat' msg from 543216 perhaps couple of times. And one morning i see a message stating that the service is activated and Rs. 30 is deducted from this.
Earnestly, Airtel is doing very unethical and unfair business practise. A Regulator needs to take a note of this..
