Aspen Dental extractions

A couple of years ago my son went in to get dentures, now he is suffering from infections because the Ear, Nose and throat Doctor found 2 teeth that are still in his mouth.
His name is Kenneth W Thomas and it was done at the Aspen Dental office in Sedalia office in Missouri 3503 West Broadway Blvd [protected]. Your workmanship is terrible. I need to know what you can do to correct this. Or should I contact an Attorney

Desired outcome: Pain free

Aspen Dental unauthorized credit application

I was in the office July 2021. Nicole Bailey suggested I apply for their credit and I said I dont want another credit card since I'm working on my finances and don't want my credit score affected. I told her I'd rather wait for October 2021 because I will have dental insurance. She suggested to apply because it's only a soft credit check and will not affect my score and if I'm approved the offer will be good for 30 days. (I have all of this info in an email from her as well) She entered that my income is $3, 000 a month. I told her thats incorrect that I dont make that much not even gross. She said "I always put a little more just to make sure it's approved" I said I probably will not use it because I cant afford another monthly payment either way. A few weeks ago I receive a credit card in the mail with a $10, 000 limit. I emailed her at least 10 times in 2 weeks and she's avoiding me. She made a huge mistake and now I'm suffering for it while she gets promoted to manager in another location. How can you help correct her error.

Desired outcome: I want this card closed without my credit score affected ultimately, which is rare but for her to be held accountable

Aspen Dental Deceptive Billing

Do not get in the chair! They quoted me one price while I was in the chair, claimed they had already run it through my insurance. Bi-annual Cleaning was supposed to be out of pocket for me $350. That's what they quoted. My insurance paid $560. And they send me a bill for an additional $190! Sold me a mouth wash that the hygentist said I needed to keep infection away. Charged me $41 for 16 ounces. Told me to come back when I needed more. I checked Walmart $11 for 32 ounces. With insurance total charged over $1, 000 for a cleaning! CROOKS!

10/21/2021 Return for a 6 month cleaning. Immediately tried to collect $141. My insurance pays 100%. No, this is the balance after your "deep Cleaning". Don't want a deep cleaning. Had one last time and it wasn't a deep cleaning, it was squirting god knows what around my teeth. I've had deep cleanings, this wasn't it. Hygienist wanted to argue with me about...

Aspen Dental Unnecessary procedure then overcharge without consent

Needed emergency work done. Went to Aspen dental. THey evaluated my damage from an accident and told me that I needed a, "Deep Cleaning" first before they could address the damaged teeth. They signed me up for a high interest credit card and charged $3, 000 for the cleaning then refused to do the other work until I coughed up $7000. They are scam artists and use the bait and switch then get you hooked in debt with a scam credit card.

Desired outcome: They told me tough

my wife was told that periodontal disease and would cost$1500.00. My wife said to me her mouth has been the same for the last 20 years or more. Aspen is a bunch of crooks. I went in for a cleaning and was told I needed implants which cost $5000.00 to $600000 each and I needed two implants. Also that I had two cavities. Aspen Dental I received a Fortiva retail credit card from the Aspendental office that I can not use?

I was invited to apply for a credit card to help me with my dental bill (so I could afford it). I was told I would receive deferred payments for 12 months (?). I agreed to let the office assistance complete the application for me. I did not receive the card with the deferred payment, but I did receive a retail credit card from Fortiva. At this time I am being told that I can not use this credit card to pay the outstanding bill I have with Aspendental. My account number for Aspendental [protected], I have an outstanding balance of $499.00. This outstanding bill is from receiving a retainer. I received the retainer on 6/14/21. I was called to pick up the retainer, I informed the office I would be there on 6/14/21. I had an appointment on 6/26/21. After seeing the dentist I paid my bill (with Fortiva retail credit card). the balance was only for $209.00 it did not include the $499.00. The young lady that charged my card told me she could not get the bill generated for the $499.00. She would send me the bill later; I said alright not knowing if I was not charged at that time I would not be able to use the Fortiva retail credit card. My resolution I am able to use the Fortiva retail credit card for this bill. I have spoken to the corporate office at [protected]. I was informed that there would be an attempt to contact the second office manager not Alissa Kriczky (she informed me that I could not use the Fortiva retail credit card).

This communication, I received a phone call from Alissa Kriczky around 3:59pm on 10/8/21. After making 3 calls to the corporate office. I returned the call and left several messages; I am still waiting for the call back. I also email [protected]@aspendental.com

Desired outcome: I want to use the Fortiva retail credit card to pay this bill with

Before my first appointment, they had a copy of my insurance card. All the info was there. They tried to tell me that the I.D. number was wrong and kept asking for my SSN. No way was that going to happen. Now I know why, they are running people's credit with the number and applying for care loans and sticking them with huge bills and high interest.

Aspen Dental Temporary crown placement

I went to get my tooth prepped for a crown on 9/20/21. I have already had 2 on before and a bridge, so I knew what to expect. I let the dentist know that 1 injection of Novacain would not suffice, and I always need two. He scoffed and ignored me, claiming I didn't know that that sure. He did one injection, waited 10 minutes, checked me, and claimed I didn't truly feel the pain of the cold shot of water on my tooth when I said I did. He then gave me an unknown injection that caused searing pain and then another shot of Novacain.
After that took effect, he did the procedure and it was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. My jaw was open all the way, but he pushed down on it when I couldn't go any further stating that I wasn't open enough. He used more force when he was drilling my tooth down than I believe was necessary. After he finally finished and placed the temporary on, it was apparently too large and he shaved the back off. He asked me how it felt, and I said it felt odd and not right. He explained it was because he gave me something stronger in the syringe than Novacain on top of the 2 shots of Novacain so I would be extra numb for 6 hours and that was why it felt off.
Well, it is now 10/5 and I'm taking Tylenol every morning and afternoon due to the severe pain I feel up my skull from the tooth, I can't eat on that side without extra pain, my mouth has a constant taste of metal, brushing my teeth hurts, and I haven't been able to floss since it has been placed. I called them to ask why all this is, and the receptionist said the doctor claims he didn't do any type of malpractice, he placed it on in good faith that it was properly set, I should deal with it until 10/13 when my permanent is to be placed by him, and if I can't deal with the minor pain, he can fix it but I'll be paying for the appointment and whatever is done.
I do not recommend anybody going to Aspen ever. They refuse to acknowledge their mistake and disregarded my attempt at telling them it was wrong, and I felt it when I was numb.

Went to Aspen Dental for full dentures. Surgery for removal of bad teeth was painful, but I healed ok. The fitting and construction of dentures was problematic. They got the bottom done ok but the top never stays in place despite many returns for adjustments. This is at the heart of the problem. Aspen Dental upper dentures

I have been trying to get upper dentures since 8 28 21 at aspen and it has been a nightmare and totally unacceptable. I went to the office in Bossier City, La and paid and started the treatment for upper denture. They have messed up the impressions several times and then when the denture finally was presented to me it was totally wrong. The lab tech saw them in my mouth and said they would not do and she remembered she ran out of material when making them and she was going to make me another plate and this was in September 2021. The Shreveport office is closer to me and she was going to have the impression they took in Bossier sent to Shreveport and would call when it was time to try the wax impressions on. It's been several weeks and no pone call! I called the Shreveport office and they had not received the impressions they took in Bossier yet and sent someone over to get them. The advertising says dentures in days not weeks and money back guarantee. The lab tech has been very behind, they told me, and would call me, apparently, they need more help in that dept.. I have been very patient and now I just want the refund of $1300. I paid in August. This is totally unprofessional. The first denture she made was too big and no amount of polident would hold them in and they were bucked out. please call my office at [protected] or email me at [protected]@tfins.com to discuss this. Thank you Mary Davis

Desired outcome: money back

Aspen Dental Unusable dentures. Fraud. Theft.

I paid their price of 7, 738.60 dollars for 20 extractions, temporary dentures, and permanent dentures on 7-17-21. They extracted the teeth. They made dentures that didn't fit, hurt my mouth. I could never use them. 2 months later they installed a liner that ruined them permanently, because then there was a gap of eighth inch in front and they did not stay in place any way. The last appointment they made Matthew (no name) he refused to give his last name, came in and yelled at me saying he would not fix or replace them or refund my money for them or the permanent ones in 3 more months that I already paid for. Then yells get out I'm calling the police 5x. I left. He also stole my 20 teeth and 2 bridges i told him to save for me. This is Aspen dental of Grants pass, Oregon. It will cost me 5, 000 dollars to get them now from a professional office, the temporary and permanent. I have been 3 months with no teeth and it looks like it will be 6 months till I do. He is a theft, and a fraud . I'm going to a oral surgeon to repair the broken bones and protruding bones in my mouth in 7 weeks. Also he cut a 2 inch slice down my gum which was ridiculous. Took 16 days and 3 antibiotics to stop the infection. 3 months after the incision it is still not closed. Can you please help me get my 5, 000 dollars back from him, or something ?

Desired outcome: 5,000 dollars refund.

Aspen Dental teeth cleaning

Upon 1st new visit to Aspen Dental (Oct 2020), I complained that one tooth was sensitive to cold food and drink. After the exam I was told I had 2 cavities (one on top, one on the bottom).
They refused to fill my teeth until I had a "$400 deep clean." Not a routine cleaning that comes free with my insurance, but $400 my cost with insurance.
Not a dime to my name (being out of work during the shut down), I put $200 (plus other little fees they had) on credit, and had the top cleaned only, so they could fill the one tooth on top that hurt.
Coming back days later for the filling, I was told I didn't have any cavities and they sent me home. They made me spend $200 before they did work, and then didn't do any work.
A year later (that's today, 9/28/2021) I went into the dentist for my free "routine cleaning" that comes with my insurance. Of which I was told it would cost me $188.
I said, "no, I get two free cleanings with my insurance each year."
Receptionist said, "but that isn't what you need."
I said, "are you refusing to clean my teeth?"
Receptionist said, "no, we will clean them, but it will cost you $188 with your insurance."

Out the door I went.

They are making a killing cleaning my teeth, and yet, a year later, I still have the same problem I walked in with, and they won't give me treatment that comes with my insurance.

Desired outcome: I would like my $200 back for the deep clean they forced on me, so i can go elsewhere for my free cleaning.. And I would like my x-rays sent to me.

They are dishonest con artists. They all read from the same scam training manual. Their deep cleanig is nothing but b.s. Complain to your local dental society, state dental board, attorney general, and your insurance provider. Nothing but a scam.

Aspen Dental Dentures

I've had my temporary dentures for 4 months. I don't use them because they're of no use to me. They are poorly made very bulky, I can't talk eat chew or swallow with them in my mouth. No matter how many adjustments they have made they don't work. They refuse to give me a new set, So I am stuck with not being able to use my dentures. I have had them for 4 months already and no matter what I tell them they just tell me to wait until I get my permanent ones. There have been many adjustments made and they still don't work. Not to mention that I keep biting my lips on the inside when I try to talk. I've been paying for this for 4 months and I can't even use them.

Desired outcome: For them to make me a new set that will actually be able to be in use

Aspen Dental Dental charges, condescending, snide management

This dental company tries to upcharge you for services and/or products that you didn't approve. I called to try to resolve the unexpected exray charge and was told I'd get a call back. I received another bill in the mail 3 weeks later with no telephone call form office. Called again and was told the manager, Heather would call me today, did not hear from her. Called again 6 days later to explain my situation. Heather, the manager was extremely condescending, mimicking me and wouldn't let me speak, when I was able to she hung up on me. Too many other dental companies around, do not choose this one!

Desired outcome: Remove the exray charge.

Aspen Dental The Dentist didn’t provide any type of exam

The Dentist didn't provide any type of exam
I had an appointment with Dr Dozier at the Norcross GA office on 9/20/2021. Prior to my appointment I told the staff while making the appointment that my son was obese and had autism.
I was told by the scheduler that the staff had experience and could accommodate my son. During our appointment the dental assistance didn't know how to take x-rays for an Obese patient and the dentist would not even provide a visual exam. Dr. Doizer told me she could not do any without x-rays. I asked if she could at least do a visual exam which wasn't done.
I was given a referral to another Dentist by Dr. Dozier. The referral dentist doesn't have any appointments until Dec 6, 2021.
I feel discriminated against due to my son's mental disability. I expected more from Aspen Dental

Desired outcome: I would like to get my son’s teeth x-rayed and a Dentist to give him a full exam
