They lost my returned phone and claim I mailed an empty package after multiple calls!
Filed claim #[protected] and got a new phone and mailed broken, nonfunctional phone 10/20/21 in envelope they sent. 11/3 and 11/10 received letters saying they never received it. USPS tracking said delivered 10/27/21. Called 11/16/21 and rep said the yes we received it but just have not scanned it into the computer yet, just ignore the letters. 1/20/22 my credit card was charged $576.44 for nonreturned phone! Called and was told they received it but not scanned, will contact warehouse and resolve in 24 to 48 hours. 1/26/21 called and was told no response from warehouse, they would escalate this and resolve it in 10 to 14 business days! Called 2/2/22 and was told they received an EMPTY, UNOPENED, UNDAMAGED package and my only recourse was to file a claim with USPS! They lost it and want me or USPS to pay for it! Looking online they do this FREQUENTLY! Who would keep a nonfunctional phone and mail an empty package? WHY? Why could they not tell me this in November? They did not handle it properly and want me to pay for it!
Desired outcome: Clear my charges with T-Mobile and apologize for the stress and time they have cost me!!

Mechanical repair service contract on my car
They are refusing to pay for repairs, the truck is within the Service Agreement miles and time. I purchased a service contract that covers the transmission, brought the car in to a service dealer and the vehicle needs a new transmission they are refusing to pay for the repairs. The service agreement is covers everything it is a Platinum Policy. This is the second time this year it's being brought in for the same reasoning, was already repaired in June for the transmission. They have wrongly denied my claim for repairs.

Vehicle Extended Warranty
Be very careful when purchasing Assurant vehicle extended warranty! I purchased Assurant extended warranty for my vehicle from the dealer thinking it would good insurance if my vehicle needed repair. Little did I know the amount I paid for the Assurant Vehicle Extended Warranty was the amount they would cover. For example, if I paid $3, 000 for 4 years coverage, Assurant would only cover up to $3, 000 max. Why would I purchase Assurant Warranty and pay "up front" when Assurant would only cover $3, 000 (the amount I paid)? I rather NOT PAY Assurant extended warranty and pay as I go when there is repair that needed to be done.
I thought purchasing Assurant Extended Warranty would cover any repairs (not wear and tear) even it it's over the amount I paid for the warranty. It's a gamble weather I use the warranty or not.
Also they do not cover rubber or plastics. Therefore, if the repair is $500 (for example), you still have to pay for any plastics or rubber (hoses) for that repair.
If I would have known Assurant would only cover the amount you paid for purchasing their Extended Warranty, I would have never purchased it. Why should I pay up front so they can earn interests why they won't cover a dime over the amout I paid for purchasing Assurant Extended Warranty? Make sure to ask questions and make sure the coverage before purchasing.

They are insensitive to the frustrations of the homeowner and have archaic time tables and processes. You talk to different people who tell you about time lines they have. They do not honor what their representatives say and their management is rude and condescending. They're mailing a check to my address when I specifically asked them to FEDEX the checks (so I can track them) because no one is there due to the damage. They say I have to call every time. When the inspector uploads information, they cannot see it for 4 DAYS? Just seems like a way to draw out their awful process. I have asked if the funds are in an interest bearing account, one rep said if it was the interest would be given to us. I am not sure who can do something about them but they are the worst company I have ever dealt with.

They don’t care about the home owner. They only give excuses and pay lip service to their customers.
How can this company be in business?
My contractor has been waiting on his money for 3 weeks. The inspection has been done and loaded to their website. There has been no check to date.
I have been calling everyday since Monday hoping to speak to a manager. There is never one available for the past four days. I left messsges for a call backs, there has been none to date.
On Monday the check will be going out Tuesday or Wednesday.
I called on Tuesday to find out if the check was sent.. the representative said he would look into it. He has no reason why it wasn’t sent. Again all management were in a meeting and someone will call be later. No one called.
Yesterday the system was down, so check could not be sent.. management will call me. No calls.
Today the check was pending, representative had no idea why. However, management will call me.
Excuses all the time!
This company should be put out of business. They need to be investigated. I don’t understand why my mortgage company is using them.

I have a total loss on my house. I have sent over $270k in checks to insuranceclaimcheck.com and they pull out every bureaucracy road block in the book to keep you from getting your money on time. If you receive more money than your adjustment worksheet, you'll have to provide evidence of what it's for. Even when my adjuster provided a letter explaining why he gave us the policy maximum, they need more proof. If you don't want my money simply endorse it and send it back. I am on a tight construction timeline because I only have a rental for so many months. However, this company keeps delaying my payouts I will soon be finding myself homeless, as I can't cover a mortgage and rent. If they want proof that work is being done, send your inspector out and TAKE A LOOK. I can't believe what I am going through with these people after losing everything. This should be illegal.

Extended Warranty on Hot Water Heater
I bought 2 GSW water heaters in October 2015 time frame IIRC when they were on sale and asked Lowes to keep them in the back room until I could pick them up/deliver which was in Feb 2016 IIRC. Lowes ended up delivering to my new house under renovation and my contractor brought one over to our old house. Lowes contractor ended up installing at the old house and my general contractor had his sub contractors for gasfitting and plumbing install at our house under renovation.
Anyway the water heater in our new house seemed to develop a leak around the water inlet valves and started to rust over time and I noticed this in the last 1 month or so with water on the basement floor. The water heater at the old house where my mom lives looks to be fine (knock on wood).
I had bought the warranty from Lowes for labour warranty and they sent out a plumber to inspect it and basically said that it wasn't covered under section 10 of their terms and conditions with respect to rust and faulty installation at the joint. All of this was beyond my control but I find it hard to believe that a plumber with 30+ years of experience would install a water heater incorrectly but water heaters rust generally from the inside out and on the bottom because the sediment collects there from the anode.
Anyway I went back and forth with them for about 2 weeks and went to my local Lowes that did nothing for me and went back to Assurant the insurance company that was supposed to back the warranty service and said this is complete BS and they have this terms in place so they don't have to pay out on the warranty. My warranty for the water heater expires in October 2021 apparently but it isn't worth the toilet paper I use let alone the paper it was printed on. I tried escalating to a "Supervisor" but they basically ended up telling me the same thing. Lowes corporate did nothing for me.
I ended up contacting GSW (A.O. Smith) here in Fergus, Ontario and explained the situation about it leaking and the representative gave me an RMA number and told me to peel the serial number sticker off the tank and go to the Lowes store and they would know what to do.
I setup an installation service with my local Lowes on the new tank because I figured if I get Home Depot or a 3rd party plumber to install they wouldn't want to do it (not a bundled job, don't want to warranty a 3rd party tank) or charge excessive costs for installation as there is nothing in it for them except their labour costs.
Anyway I got a new tank and ended up costing me $370+tax for delivery/installation reluctantly that I tried calling the supervisor back to get them to cover but they are a bunch of [censored]s. Anyway, perhaps this is why Lowes changed from Assurant to I believe Comerco now so perhaps they don't have these restrictions/exclusions.
Let's just say that this put a sour taste in my mouth and I will be very reluctant to buy anything big ticket from a big box store anymore but I'm not sure if a 3rd party plumber is going to be around either if I need to call them. I bought a JeldWen patio door from Lowes and JeldWen didn't backup their door either with the sweep rubbing.
Desired outcome: Do the right thing and pay for my out of pocket repair costs
Won't release insurance claim funds
We have sent the necessary paperwork multiple times via email, fax & certified overnight. Countless phone calls. I'll have proof that a message was sent, but they will claim it wasn't received, even after confirming address/fax number. 3 different reps have told us that requirements have been met & funds were being released. After waiting a week, I check on line & the status has been changed to "not accepted" without any notification.
We've been living in a construction zone with only a bedroom, bathroom & laundry room since Feb. I just want to be able to make it livable again.
Desired outcome: We need funds released so we can build our kitchen, LR, DR, & master bedroom

I have been trying to replace all my phones even since before I had my service suspended (its kinda why I let it go since I dont know what to do when my supposed insurance wont even replace my phones) and into my business lines so total of 6 phones that I need replacements for and the adjusters keep denying my claims with out explanation when they have even been very accurate and very truthfull. They have even tried banning me for program abuse when they dont know whats going on in my life and nor is it my fault they let 3rd world contries handle anything to where they create multiple claims that end up making it look like fraud and things. Im tired of the discrimination and lies of how I will receive the phone the next day but dont even get an explained letter as to why the claim was denied.
Desired outcome: I want all 6 of my phones replaced and all money charged to my att account to be refuned and devices shipped no later than tomorrow since they do advertise next day receiving of the products.
Mobile phone insurance
I have a metro pcs account and there are 2 phone lines. My second line belongs to the other person and they cracked their screen. Assurant would not let her file the claim because they are demanding my ID. Saying only the main account holder can send in ID info. All I get is that's what's required when you place the claim… This is not in their terms. I would not have purchased the insurance. I'm not understanding why is this not disclosed until after you purchase the insurance and attempt to file a claim? I don't understand why it is that difficult to file a repair claim for something you're paying for.

On 10/29/20, we contacted GE Appliance @ 1 800 626-2224 for service repair appointment on our refrigerator making noise inside the food bin area as we explained it sounded like a motor boat engine vibration.
A service date was scheduled for 10/30/20 btwn 8am to 1pm and we asked the ge cust service rep if the repair tech can call us at home approx 30 minutes before arrival with his name for safety sake being that we are both elderly.
On date of the expected service call, we again called a ge cust service rep @ approx 8:15 am inquiring about arrival time update/confirmation and again requested that the tech contact us approx 30 minutes before arrival.
He showed up around 9am without any advance notification and upon entry he immediately snapped at us aggressively saying "put on your mask" which we did. Without asking us anything, he proceeded to put his rained soaked work coat and his tools on our quartz kitchen countertop that we prepare our food on. My wife went to pick up his coat to put it on our hallway coat hook and he immediately grabbed it from her and said, "don't touch my coat and i'm leaving".
Afterwards, we then called ge cust service to explain what had happened and to make another appointment for 11/5/20.
We again called shortly thereafter, to mention that we did not want the same serviceman to come back and she said that our appointment was cancelled due to ge serviceman's comment to "not to service this account".
From above telecon, we understood that in the future, ge will not send any of their repair personnel to our home anymore for repairs and that an unaffiliated local repair shop will come instead.
As it stands right now, we have no idea who is coming and from what shop.
We are concerned for our security and most of all our safety due to covid19.
After several telephone calls to GE about this matter, we were unable to restore GE authorized service calls. We are not happy with an outside repair shop coming in and as a result of this treatment, we will never purchase and/or recommend GE Products in the future.

Extended auto warranty
This company does not want to comply with their warranty coverage. My Ford dealership has had my vehicle for 2 1/2 months waiting for approval to complete the repairs. Every time the warranty company asks for more info. This company sent an actual claims adjuster to the dealership, then instead of acting on his recommendation, they have continued to jerk me around stating they need more info. If you do not trust the recommendation of your adjusters, why do you have them? My belief is that they are stalling because they do not want to pay for the needed repairs. I have phoned multiple times to check my claim and the response I get is to have my repair facility contact them. I have received several calls from my repair facility asking me to contact the warranty company because they are not getting any response from them. This claim was filed 3/27/2020. client #WAVMPJ19

I wish I would have known about these clowns before I spent the summer fighting with them. I could never figure out WHY they do what they do. Were they stupid enough to have my 248G in insurance money in an interest bearing account against gov't regulators? I can't believe that. Are they incompetent? You better believe it. But I could never figure out why.
Then I figured it out. All of the things others have written is all true. The delay tactics, the incompetence, the inability to talk to anyone in power. I have spent at least 45 phone calls with these guys, always lasting over 50 minutes each begging to get contractors paid. Had I not decided to GC this thing myself any General I hired would have walked off the job 3 or 4 times because they weren't getting paid.
PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION: Banks pay this company to service your loss. They pay them a monthly fee. If ICC can stretch a claim out to 16 months instead of 6 months they get the monthly fee from the bank for 10 more months and it is no skin off their back. It is simply a scheme to suck more money out of your mortgage company. It is not illegal. Immoral? HELL YES!
I have been able to get 220G out of the 248G to date. I finished repairing my house 5 weeks ago and I want the balance of 28G. But the only way I got the 220G was to write letters to the Attorney Generals office of my state complaining. I attached those letters to my request for payments. It is the only way anyone at ICC got off their [censored].
They record every conversation. I am sure I am labeled as a lunatic there, I don't give a damn. They respect power, they don't respect anger. Being angry at them gets you nowhere. They don't care. My last conversation with one of their reps I dug into this woman pretty deeply and she flat out admitted that her company does exactly what I accused them of doing.
I am sure her bosses were listening and I am sure today she is fired.
Armed with this info I wish whoever is reading this luck. You CANNOT count on human dignity from this company. I am lucky enough to have the liquid resources to finish the house. Most people are not that lucky so the project stops. YOU MUST report them to your states Attorney General the minute they delay you 1 day. I reported them 6 times. You must do that.. Good Luck!

We have water leaking into our house and this company will not issue a check to the contractor to get started, and everything exactly as stated above... I would like to speak to you, as I just sent them my endorsed claim check. initially they said any repairs I paid out prior to them processing the insurance check would be reimbursed upon receiving the check, my adjusters claim worksheet etc. and paid receipts.
Now they have those items, and are trying to tell me that I may not be reimbursed until after the rest of the contractor work is complete. putting me in severe jeopardy of losing my home, as I just received a loan modification. I have 3 floors which were damaged after a puffback by the way. so believing I could start the work and be promptly reimbursed, I used monies, I would normally use for mtg payments.

Dryer
We have been having trouble with the electric dryer since we moved in 08/08/18. The dryer would heat up, but would not turn itself off and the temperature inside the laundry room would reach 100 degrees. We tried to make do with this unhealthy process, but after a couple of months it became unbearable.We called Assurant since we have an extended warranty with them. After a couple of weeks a Sears truck came with a technician. He pulled the dryer out and checked the back of the unit. He showed me the exhaust ducting was completely loose from the unit, and all the heat was blowing into the laundry room, causing overheating. But he could not fix it because he only worked on the unit, not the exhaust ducting. He told me to call the builder to fix the exhaust ducting. We called Craftmark and a technician came by in a couple of weeks. He looked at the unit and said he would have to order parts. In a couple of weeks the parts came in and the tech installed the exhaust ducting. This did not fix the problem, and we called assurant. The tech came and replaced the heating element. The unit still does not function properly--turns off after five minutes. Called assurant for the fourth time--to come Monday.
We have not had a functioning dryer in the past 16 months. This is unacceptable. Could we please have a replacement unit as soon as
possible?

I am having the exact same issues with insurance claim check as many other consumers are and my mortgage is through cenlar. I have been homeless since I filed my two claims for roof damage and inside water damage 7 months ago! This has been devastating! This company tells you different stories about your claim each time you call! They also had all of my financials incorrect which caused major confusion and lost money/money paid out to the wrong claims! They misplaced funds! I have asked to speak to managers over and over for their mistakes made and a manager has never once called me back! They lose documents to the point you have to resend them over and over and over... I'm exhausted. I am exhausted with living in my vehicle and it should never take 7 months or longer to remodel or repair a home that you work hard to pay for! This has been going on for me since february 2019 through current which is october 2019! We all must do something! [protected]. I reside in st. Louis, missouri and need some guidance and help. Extended car warranty
Same issue here. Had an engine that needed to be replaced due to low oil, which I never had a check engine light or oil light, the car just stopped running while driving. I had all my receipts for getting it serviced, had purchased the platinum plan that covered the engine and they still denied the claim. I was advised by them to send in a dispute letter, which I did through an attorney no less and they still didn't respond to that. This company should be out of business.
Phone insurance
I order a replacement phone from assurant on 7/27/19 and paid a 100$ deductible at the time of purchase 8/8/19. When I finally received thru error of the assurant on 8/13/19 warehouse a phone that was not able to be activated due to this tremendous error the replacement was asked to ship the brand new non-working phone back and wait for it to arrive to be shipped another replacement. So almost a month later I've still not received a working phone and still have to pay a phone bill for a phone I've used for all of 1 day and numerous supervisor at assurant gave me inaccurate details about and information about the replacement of my replacement which has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in my entire life.

I read all the reviews about this company when we first had our loss due to water damage in the kitchen last July 2018. I knew it didn't matter which mortgage company you had but came down to this company. So I self funded all my repairs and held on to the check from my insurance company.
When EVERYTHING was completed. I submitted a certification from the contractor that there were no liens and all work was completed. I scheduled my inspection and confirmed they acknowledged at insuranceclaimcheck.com that all work was 100% completed. I spoke with two different reps to confirm the servicer had all documentation and all steps completed except receipt of my insurance check. They said as soon as they received the check they would be able to release funds back in about 7 days.
I overnighted the check with a prepaid return overnight envelope (totall almost $100 in mailing costs to expedite) and copies of all the original paperwork I had sent them (just in case)... I received a call after they received it to know a check would be issued and coming to me.
That was July 5, 2019. Today they still have not released any funds and are now saying my insurance check was for too much so they can't release anything. They now claim to only have a estimate that was half the total of the repairs. They previously confirmed receipt of the correct estimate/authorization. I asked to speak to a supervisor and no luck. They said flat out you can't. My position was ok... even worse case and you lost the other authorization then I sent you a check for more than you need to repair evrything, you've already acknowledged all repairs were 100% done so then you should be returning the amount from the estimate you have and any extra as your argument would negate your interest to any of the extra anyway. Either way whether they have the correct estimate or not... both scenarios entitle me to a release of the funds in full.
This company is now fraudulently and illegally holding funds they are NOT entitled too.
I can't believe how many complaints are on the internet and how difficult it is to get a resolution. I know my claim is in the neighborhood of 20k... they must be retaining millions.
Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way around them... The mortgage company won't talk to you and force you to use their service. There is no opt out. This is bad.

I feel your pain. My claim is $101, 000ish give or take and they are taking NINE million years to send my check endorsed to me, my husband, and the roofing company. I have a 140 year old historic house and the roof is a hand-stamped custom made metal and only two companies in the US make it. My roofing company cannot order the roof to begin being made (understandable since it is custom) until they receive money up front. The checks from my insurance total OVER half the funds and now insuranceclaimcheck people said no money over $40, 000 can be released because of the high amount of the claim. WHAT?! The roofing company will NOT order roofing materials to be made without the amount of the check totals that my insurance company sent and they have cashed and in their possession. I am more than livid. Have you found a way to resolve this incompetency since it has been over six months since this happened to you?

Getting InsuranceClaimCheck.com to release funds is nearly impossible. They lose documents over and over again. Each time you call you get a different rep with a different document lost or one that gives the all clear, the funds are being drafted and will be there by Fedex in 3-5 days only to call back and hour or day later to be told NO, you need the same...

So the guy on the recorded line was very rude. I showed nothing but respect. He had already talked to my brother on the phine and they got in to an argument. So i guess he was upset. But he never asked if i needed anymore help with anything or any other solutions to my problems. He simply hung up on me. Are these the type of managers you guys have doing customer service?
