Bank of America rude service

I used the Bank of America machine that said if you deposited your check which it scanned and gave you the printed copy receipt of your check, that the fund would be available by 8pm and they weren't.
I talked to a customer service rep who said she didn't know anything about that kind of machine and was sorry they were advertising that and said that no one would be able to answer my questions. I then talked to a superviser who said that yes they would be available by that evening but that mine would not. I asked her several times what she meant and why mine would not be and she kept saying that even though it says that night, the funds don't process til the next day. She and her helper were very rude and could not answer the question of why my funds would not credit to the account the day they were deposited and kept telling me they would be available the next day. Her name was Stefanie Quevedo in Nevada.

Yes, we all know you (in all your alter IDs) are SO desperate for the love of your life to return, that you hope every poster is really her in disguise. That's the only possible explanation of your inability to talk about anything but your beloved nonnie.

I filed complaints with the BBB and the Office of the comptroller of currency.

I doubt that will help but at least I'm doing something about it now.

I also filed a complaint through AFFIL. Check them out. You can contact your Congressman through them about this.

Bank of America faked an advance loan I never took out

My father died suddenly while I was traveling so I changed direction and went to his home. We needed clothing and such for his services and I did not have access to a computer so I decided to make an extra $3000.00 payment just to be sure we had plenty of room on our Alaska Airlines Bank of America Visa card. I did not yet owe a payment and I was not close to my limit. I am just cautious and know about all of the various ways credit card companies trap consumers into pirate interest rates and fees. In fact, I don't pay my bill each month by the due date, but by the earlier closing date so they cannot trick me into paying interest.

Apparently, when I made an automatic payment via their phone service, I input my routing number incorrectly. However, BOA gave me the message that the payment was made and gave me a confirmation number.

When I returned home a week later, exhausted and grieving, I discovered the $3000.00 payment hadn't processed. I called the company and they told me that the routing number was input incorrectly so I made the payment right there on the phone since I'd tried to earlier anyway. This payment was more than I owed for the billing period and almost three weeks before it was due.

Three weeks later when I looked at my account online I discovered a $3000.00 cash advance loan at almost 30% interest! I never asked for a cash advance, I never needed a cash advance, and altogether I had paid $6000.00 when I owed less than $5000.00 for that month! And I had paid it early!

I emailed customer service and they emailed me back telling me I had requested the loan. I corrected them and told them no, I had merely input the wrong digit into the phone when trying to make payment, no actual money went back and forth, and I made the payment a week later well in advance of when it was due and for at least $1500 more than I owed for that billing period. They wrote back telling me that they "could not" remove the cash advance or change anything. Mind you, I never actually got the $3000.00 because it was all just a numbers on paper game. They had debited my account the initial $3000.00 phone payment and then credited it, taken it back, the very same day. They claimed to have loaned me $3000.00, but did not actually give it to me to keep. I asked them that since, on paper, they my the payment back the same day they gave it to me, why didn't I have an extra $3000.00?

We went back and forth for days, they denied my request, then they stalled. My husband called them and lost his temper because the customer service person was rude and he kept excusing what was happening because we "had requested the cash advance." After my husband lost his temper, the customer service rep told him they would remove the cash advance and return the interest they had charged us. It was not removed and we were not reimbursed. Instead, both my paper bills and my online bills ceased! Someone changed my online billing status to stop my receiving them and I did not receive any in the mail!

I contacted them by email again since the phone calls had proved worthless and asked why they had not followed through on what customer service told us they would do for us. I received an email telling me that they were "reviewing" the issue and then I never heard from them again.

Because we use our card for almost everything in order to earn miles, there are charges on it almost daily. Instead of applying the $6000.00 in payments to what I owed that month, BOA applied it to new charges in the next billing period so that almost none of the $3000.00 "cash advance" was being paid. For the next three months our payments continued to be applied to new billing periods even when I sent in enough to pay the entire amount owed for each month plus the "cash advance." Thus, the cash advance was not going down by much each month.

Finally, we wrote to our Senator and included copies of everything. He wrote to them and forwarded our complaint to the comptroller's office. As soon as they got a letter from the Senator, a customer service rep called me, apologized profusely, returned our interest. removed the cash advance from our record, and refunded our yearly fee for that year. Although we have been reliable customers for many years, they weren't satisfied with the merchant fees they get every time we use our card; they wanted to force us into paying high interest. If our Senator had not written to them for an explanation, they would have continued cheating us.

Now, why didn't I think of that? I lost my patience and ended up battling B of A with anger and emotion. That's what they want you to do...then give up trying because you eventually get burnt out! I started to forget what it was that I was fighting for.
Anyway, I am glad to hear that you got the best of them. Thank you for sharing your story. I closed my account with B of A after my incident. (in which I caught them with various bank charges in my accts, then forcing me to prove to them that it's not appropriate otherwise I have to pay for them. total waste of time... but kept happening. they are the worst kind...evil, corrupt empire run by greedy a**holes.) Anyway, if i hear of any class action lawsuit, i am there.

This bank has done the same thing to me when I mistakenly entered one digit incorreclty paying by phone (more than the minimum as well). I discovered on my statement that they considered this a returned payment and a cash advance loan. I am not getting any response from to correct this, other than "The bank made no error". They are engaging in unfair and deceptive pratices. This allows them to charge 20% interest on a "loan" that cannot be paid off until the entire "purchases" balance is paid off, instead of a one time late fee which is what it should be. Although a confirmation of payment number should not have been provided if there was a digit missing from the pay by phone account info anyways, this would have alerted me that I made an error. So, just another way to trap its consumers that have good intentions of paying their bills. I will write my senator to see if they can help. Sorry to learn of your troubles, and my sympathy for your loss.

Bank of America realestate fraud

December of 05 iI had entered into a contract to purchase a house. My mortgage broker had asked me to buy more time as he was looking for a way to find me a loan. I made a deposit of 5k, then another 130k from an equity line he procured for me on another house. A day before close of april7/06 he notifies me that in order to 'get through escrow' I was to sign over the interest in the escrow to him and after close the following morning it would be replaced in my name. This has not happened.

Since inception of the lawsuit it has been discovered that- he had been preparing, signing, and forging documents in the escrow office without my notice from him or the escrow between feb28-march31 06. That two days prior to the assignment of my interests, and well after my over 100k deposit, he had aplied fraudulently, had approved from his superior, AND was underwritten by Countrywide for a mortgage and a HELOC in the amount of 50+k! The 50k$ was used to buil;d a pool and yard at his present house. the loans miraculously were underwritten and funded within 2days and without a purchase contract or any suportive evidence that he was to purchase this house. Basically he was enabled and coluded with to defraud me.

A year has passed, Im waaay out of money for my attorney, The broker has now filed chpt.7 after numerous other stalling tactics by his sleaze lawyer and Countrywide has done everything from denying his employment(since proven) to saying it was them that were defrauded as well. Nevermind that they had the last call, this is what underwriting is based on according to law.

call me if this interests you, you can see current docs relating to this on the L.A. Superior Court web site- case # BC379861

I feel really badly that these people had problems with the people they dealt with in Countrywide, I had my very first mortgage with them and they were very nice and helpful. Was it the company or the agent that gave the problem? I'm thinking about remortgaging with them so it is very important to me to know. Thank you for your help!

Bank of America non-disclosure

In February, 2017 my husband and I took out a $30, 000 unsecured loan from MNBA (now Bank of America) at what I thought to be 13% which turned out to be 16%. In April, 2017 and after paying $16, 144 (approx.) on the loan, I asked for an additional $1, 000 to be deposited into our checking account. I was told at that time the loan would be recalculated which I assumed meant adding the $1, 000 and recalculating the payment. At no time was I told that the loan time would revert back to 84 months thereby, in my opinion, nullifying the 2 1/2 years worth of payments. It is now 2017 an I am just hearing this recalculation for the first time. The only reason I know is because I inquired as to my payoff date. I was informed it would be 84 months from the April, 2017. I am not a genious when it comes to money but even I know I would not have traded $1, 000 for $16, 144. I feel I have been defrauded. I never would have had the $1, 000 added. I don't want to skip out on any payments. I just want my loan timeline revised. At the end of this fiasco, I would have paid approximately $65, 000+ for a $30, 000 loan. Somehow that doesn't seem lawful to me.

In 2017 I brought a home using eastern saving bank. At the time I was working at mazda of milford and that year I made 29, 500. I brought my home for 185, 000.00 and I put down 80, 000.00.My intrest rate was 12.4% and my mortgage payment was 1751.00 a month.in 07 my mortgage patment went up 200.00. And in 08 I met and married I still had the house and there was still equity in my home we got a lawyer and we won a temporary forbarence for 6mo for 1080.00 and if we made our payments on time we would lower the intrest and place some of the money we owe in the rear. But after the 6mos was over and we did make the payments on time as agreed, but this time we could not afford the lawyer our payments stayed 2100.00 a month the intrest stayed the same they did not help at all we went though that 6mos for nothing and the house was taking away september 26, 2017.

On 01-19-2017 a heavy accent person called saying he is from a federal bank law and investigation collection agency located in NY. Stating that Cash Net Usa is sueing me taking me to court for unpaid loan in the amount of $495.00 plus court fee's totaling over $5000.00. I replied that I owe nothing to cash net usa never even took a loan from them. He continued saying to resolve this issue I had to pay $495.00 right now using a debit or credit card and if not tomorrow there would be a warrant served for my arrest and for the person used as reference. I requested for him to send me an e-mail or a letter in the mail he said not possible it's to late. I requested twice the address to this so called collection agency and he ask why, I said so I can have a friend stop by and make the payment he said that is not allowed . I said my lawyer will be informed and that I was going to file a complaint. He than gave me 2 different locations not even sure of info and kept saying hold on inbetween info. Finding simular stories online this is a total rip off. Scary he had my name, address etc...

Loan Discovery SA seems to be handing everyone, who "apparently" subscribed to their service, to their legal department. Why on earth must we subscribe to something that we need to pay for? Especially since nothing gets telephonically communicated. Then apparently we can't read, whatever is on that website needs to be restructured. This is unethical and when you call to find out you get rude people answering who should rather be sweeping the street than on the phone.

Something really needs to be done about these people cause whatever you guys are trying to achieve..

Both my son and I are receiving call from this guy with a Indian accent. He claims that we have a formal complaint filed against our social security numbers. It is supposed to be for a cash advance loan. Yes, I have taken one out but have paid back. My son has never taken any cash advance loan out at all... I called once and they answer stating that they are officers and when I asked for the loan company phone number they could not give me that information. They said I should get an attorney and that we would go to jail. I also called again and they hang up on me...I called back and asked " Why do you keep hanging up on me?" They hang up again. I just called again today and they stated they are the Lawyers office of California. I asked the guy "Is this a scam?" OOOhhh he didn't like that one...he said " Your are talking to an officer" Whatever BIG SCAM...do not give up your information to anyone.!

If this was a legit collection agency then they would not hang up on us .

This is in regards the personal loan; I had taken from your company. My personal loan account no: RPDL00020920 which I had with you since 16/7/2017 was prepaid as advised by your company executive “Nidhi”. She asked me to make the DD of amount: Rs 26734 against the full and final prepayment in the name of GE money and got it collected Mr. Manoj, the details of which are as below:
DD no:613353, dated:19-09-08 of amount :Rs 26734
Full and Final prepayment” made by me vide your receipt no.:CDL 1282142. Dated.

After that there was no outstanding on my abovementioned account.

I am surprised that I am still receiving calls for the EMI due and your representative recently visited my place to collect some money against the abovementioned account which was fully prepaid .

I give them the same details but to vain, still I receive the calls.

I tried calling Nidhi but, someone else picks up & says that she is out of town or sometimes, busy in meeting..She never revert back.

I feel harassed and disappointed by this attitude of your staff.

When they need to fulfill their targets, they call us ten times a day to peruse us and when they achieve their targets. This is how, we clients being treated, nobody bothers to call back also.

After trying all means to contact her, I had already written a complaint letter addressed to your GM, but all in vain, no action been taken against it till date.

pls give me the contact number of ceo"mr.Vicky Bindra" so that I can my problem looked into.

Sajitkumar T K Vasudevan, 48, resident of Taman Nusa Indah Johor Bahru lost his job as production executive at Premier Vegetable Oil Pasir Gudang when his management discovered (after he was employed and not during the interview) that he was being treated for depression at the Permai Hospital.

Unable to make regular payments on his housing loan, he is now hounded by the bank and faces legal action for defaulting on his loan.

A clinically depressed Sajitkumar declared well by hospital.

In 2017, Sajit had taken a RM 195, 000 housing loan from Ambank.

The following year, Sajit was given to key to the street when his company discovered he was suffering from depression and had not truthfully declared his depressive condition when he applied for that job.

His application for SOCSO insurance was rejected.

His appeal to The Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (SUHAKAM) turned to naught.

Earlier in 2017, he had withdrawn RM 30, 000 from his EPF savings due to his sickness.

This time when he applied to withdraw his savings, it was rejected.

This is due the fact that Hospital Permai declared him not ill (tidak mengidap keilatan).

Sajit’s troubles escalated last year when he was unable to service the loan for four months.

As a result, the interest rate for his loan was increased from 4.9% to 9.1 %.

When Citizen Journalists Malaysia (CJMY) contacted AmBank, Liaison and Collection officer Hamidah Abd Rahman explained that the bank had clear rules about loan defaulters.

After four months of non-servicing of the loan, legal action would be instituted.

Sajit had appealed for leniency but the bank was unwavering.

By hook or by crook, he had to settle the outstanding loan and thereafter, service his loan for six months without fail before the bank could consider his case.

In his jobless state, he is unable to find RM 3, 000 per month to service the loan.

Hamidah advised Sajit and all those in the same dilemma to seek the assistance of AKPK (Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit), the Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency set up by Bank Negara which helps individuals manage their financial situation.

Sajitkumar is now at the end of his tether. In anguish, he laments, “There is no justice in this world.”

Sajit feels the society is pushing him against the wall. “People who are depressed are in a very unfortunate position because the public do not understand their complex illness.

“A seriously depressed person can be driven to suicide.

“They need encouragement and support, ” he said.

In addition, without financial assistance forthcoming, he may be driven to seeking for ”help” from Ah Longs and this could be the long, lonely road to his destruction.

The World Health Organisation warns that mental illness will be second to HIV/AIDS in the burden it places on the world by the end of this decade.

Records indicate that 9% of Malaysians suffer from major depression. Similar to global data, depression is the fourth most disabling disease in Malaysia, ranking third for women and 10th for men.

Sajitkumar is now at the end of his tether. In anguish, he laments, “There is no justice in this world.”

Bank of America Usurious rates

Company raised rates to 28.99%. Escalation is apparently covered in change of terms. Try reading those documents. How on earth can it be legal to charge that type of rate. I inquired about late fee charges - had we been late, the charge would have been an additional $39. Account was immediately closed. Another account, on which there was a $900 credit balance is being eliminated as well. I will not do business with this type of company.

Cost of funds maybe 5% at the worst. Pretty good money if you can get it. I doubt bad debt expense comes close to justifying that.

Changed my rate to 21.99%. I have had the card for 10 years with excellent pay history... their answer was that with the economy and with other debt I owe I "may" at some point not be able to pay them... oh ok so lets raise the rate double and penalize someone who makes there payments ontime for something that might happen in the future! I will be paying this card off next month so they do not get to keep living off my intrest!

I am angry when my APR was 16.99 to 19.95, or whatever to FIA from 1firstbank in Puerto Rico. I always pay the bills, and more than more. These days we all have problems, so what should I do? Kill the FIA and the Puerto Rico bank?

They are terrible, all of us have money problems. The interest went down, but, ugh, the FIA or the 1st Bank, out interest get higher.

Oh, sorry, the FIA and 1st first bank in Puerto Rico, need money for their bonuses to stay in their mansions.

Ugh. Meanwhile, we all have problems to bill when our electricity, water, and everything, maintance, etc.

Thinking about bankstupid.

Bank of America Scam and cheating

They told us one interest rate and then doubled it! Also they changed the amount we agreed on and when we called Bank of America they gave us the run around sending us to several different people and placing us on hold over and over again. We finally threatened to close our bank account so that they would not continue to take our money. Beware.

I even called my bank to get a direct # and was told by them that the phone number they had for FIA was an "interior" number- meaning she couldn't give it to me! So they CAN call me and offer to TAKE my money but I CAN'T call them and tell them to STOP! Who does business like that!?!?!

I was only able to reach them thanks to a number I got from a posting on this website.

Bank of America Ripped off

I have had an unhappy relationship with Bank of America virtually from the beginning. However, their customer service people would always help me, in the end and take care of Bank of America's indiscretions, although it would usually take hours on the telephone. This time is different and I have had enough. I have had multiple occasions of Bank of America posting debits before credits, even with my having time stamped receipts. Bank of America then refunds some overdraft fees, 'as a courtesy, ' but will make me pay up to 4 or 5 fees myself. I have paid over $1, 000 in fees caused by bank error. This isn't even my latest, most upsetting issue.

I recently (two months ago) made a deposit of $800. I then wrote out 5 checks against this deposit (totaling about $300-$400). Well, Bank of America decided to place a hold on this deposit without notifying me of the hold in any way.

Then, Bank of America decided to return all of the checks that I had written out against the (little did I know) held funds. Then, Telecheck and Certegy charged returned check fees directly to my account resulting in 7-8 overdraft fees. I received refunds from Telecheck and Certegy directly via paper checks (their policy). I was told that when a check is returned to them, they receive a 'report' giving the reason for the return. If a check is returned due to held fees, typically a returned check fee is only charged if after redeposit of that check still is returned. Both companies cited that the fees shouldn't have been charged an gave me refunds.

So, basically I am told something different depending on who I speak to at Bank of America, but the most common thing that I have been told is, if your account is overdrawn due to an unauthorized charge which is refunded, Bank of America refunds any overdrafts incurred from it.

Well, I faxed over copies of all of the paper checks to a supervisor in Claims by the name of Dawna who has decided to blatantly ignore my fax and subsequent 3 phone calls and voicemails. Every time I call, I'm told that Claims needs to handle this and will adjust the account and when I get over to Claims, I am told that if I have already received a refund, I don't need to enact a claim (clearly). I am then told that there is nothing that can be done.

My account is now -400.49. I have re-routed my direct deposit to a new account that I hold at PNC Bank, where I am much happier, thus far. However, I am receiving phone calls from Bank of America on a daily basis threatening to put my account in Check Systems at which point I will not be able to have a checking account anywhere until the negative balance is resolved. I'm going to attempt to contact Bank of America once more after work today, but I doubt anything will come of it.

I have been told that I would have an excellent case for legal action, which I cannot afford... :0) Thanks for any assistance in this matter.

Remember this line: Deposits posted after 3:00pm will not be available until the next business day or after 2:oo pm. and not on Holidays. This is depositing, cash or checks.
Say Labor Day weekend. Put money in at 3:05 PM Friday (Bank is open to 6:00PM) You will not be able to get that money until Tues after 3:00 PM! So they place it in Pending. Not in Posted or cleared. So that money is not counted until they have it in their banks and confirm all the info is correct.

Bank Of America is ruthless. What happened to Overdraft protection fee in my case I guess it does not apply. My employer direct deposit my pay check 9/24 a day late. Which I did not know. I had checks came in on the 9/23. The day of the 24th early I saw my account in red for a total of $70 dollars worth of checks not covered. My pay check was in pending. Bank Of America does this to customers. NO other bank I know makes direct deposit checks stay in pending. However they do it all the time to me. I have 6 checks written all together $70. They charge me $35 for each check that came in .I called and asked why did they return the check when the same day money was there they said that the check was still pending. This is very unfair. I had that money there and they still return the six checks are charge fees along with overdraft. These fees have taken my entire paycheck. I have two kids and now I do not have money to make it this week. Bank of America does not care for people. They charge me fees when the money was there in the bank. I know for fact the Bank of America enjoys charging overdraft fees to Americans who are struggling. I read a article several years ago stated that they make billions a year off of charging people overdraft fees. This bank needs to be regulated. When I look at my account and see numbers in red online and my transactions are in one order and see a deposit amount. Then hour later I go back to my account summary I see everything balanced differently in a totally different order the transactions came in this to me is fraud. I can't help you but my story helps to know that you are not alone.

Bank of America Fraud

These people are ripoff artisits. They call from another listing on your property anc claim to have sold it. They need a retainer for the SALE and they fax you a "Modified contract"
which doesn't even list the correct address (Whitehall PA) and when you get the Paperwork to mail back, it is just a listing and you can't get your money back because they waited until after the 10 day return peroid before they sent the paperwork.
THIS IS FRAUD! Hang up on them. I know that you like me, really want to sell your timeshare but THESE PEOPLE are a BIG rip off. They will not answer phone or email or mail after the 10 days.

Bank of America refusal of fraud complaint

I have been a victim of Identity Theft since 2000. I am still fighting fruad accounts and on June 2008, I got into a big mees with Bank Of America. On 06/09/08, I received a email message that they detected "irregular credit card activity" on my account. I immediately called to speak to the FRAUD Dept, and I was informed that on 06/07/08, there were 7 outstanding ATM authorizations all made with less than 5 mins. I immediately told them that I didn't do them and that I did now realize that I had left my VISA card at a restaurant with my driver's license on June 06.

They since have denied my claim based on other previous claims and that I didn't contact them on June 6th about my missing card. I tried to explain that I didn't realize it was missing until I got the email from them. Now they say I have to pay the fraud charges. I have conatcted the FTC, the credit bureraus and now the Comptroller of Currency, all who have asked them to send me copies of the "fraud Transactions". As of now they still have not replied to me or any agencies requests. I think Bank Of America is lying when they advertise ZERO % FRAUD LIABILITY!

Bank of America mortgage statements

9/2008 URGENT! To All Countrywide Customers with Home Loans...

I would like to know if the following occurred to any customers of countrywide home loans byside myself.

I have (two) Mortgages with countrywide home loans and have then now for 2.5 years. I noticied that in July I did not receive a statement from countrywide for my first mortgage. I got the statement for the second mortgages as usual.

They said they will send one out to me soon. Ok, I waited nothing. Now August 2008 comes in and no first mortgage statement again. Yet for August I received the second as usual.

I called Countrywide in August again and expressed to them my concern not receiving the statement for my first mortgage.

Here is what I was told...

We blocked your account because we sent a duplicate and it was returned to us. It was sent back to countrywide stating "WRONG ADDRESS" I said wow that is strange because that has never happend before. So I spoke to a Supervisor to see what can be done since this incident occurred twice already. (July and August 2008 Statements)

I explained to countrywide that I have a 2nd mortgage with them and to verify the address and they will see that everything is the same and I am still living in the home that was purchased.

To their surprise the second loan and first loan had EXACTLY THE SAME ADDRESS! They said why do not know why you are not getting your not getting your 1st mortgage statement. I told them I am going to file a compliant with the post office because tampering with someone mail is a federal offense and I told them that.

My local post office could not understand why this was happening and took the necessary steps to assist me.

My calls continued to countrywide and still they were not able to give me any duplicate statements or tell me why my statements have not arrived. I continued pressing them and still nothing.

Please note, that my statements always came on time and for some odd reason they stopped. Then when I read the details of the program that will be implented on October 1, 2008 it somehow began to all make sense to me. So please let me know if you exeperienced this situation in the past few months.

Now, to my surprise I get the statement that needs to be paid in October 1, 2008.

IF ANYONE HAS ENCOUNTERED THIS SITUATION PLEASE MAKE COMMENTS. MAYBE WE HAVE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.

Please, be aware that now October 1, 2008, there is the new housing bill that was signed by the president of the USA in order to assist struggling homeowners.

For more info. on this program go to WWW. HUD.gov and you will see what the qualifications are in order to be eligiable for this program.

Please email me at [protected]@aol.com
Subject: Missed statements.

Thank you for reading my comment.

I have my mortgage with countrywide and have not had any problems. I make my payments on line every month. Also in reference to the returned statements, I work for a vredit card company and I know sometimes mail has been retrned for no apparent reason. That has nothing to do with the company that sends the mail. It is the post office that returns mail. If the correct address is on the mail, the company who sent the mail is not responsible.

I have 1 loan with Countrywide and noticed the same thing. I did a quick search about not receiving statements and that's how I came across this post. At first, I thought it was just a mistake or something. Now I'm getting a little worried. I've always received my statements 2-3 months in advance. Countrywide would send my October statement in August or July, for example. I always pay my statements online through my bank, so it's not really an issue about not receiving an actual statement but I'm just a little worried that forgetting to mail out my statements is a sign of bad things to come.

I have had 2 home loans with countrywide for many years. I have never had a problem with them. I have automatic payments set up with my online banking so this type of problem does not occur. The payments are made automaticly and come right out of my bank account.

I agree with all you say countrywide needs to get in trouble. I have delt with them and have gotton into a hole because of them. And as for thhat new housing bill forgetaboutit its bull. I called with all my issues and they turned taled to me about fixing my credit not helping me with my housing issues. My credit was fine I have no idea who that bill is for but not the people that have been ripped off by countrywide. What a joke the women told me about that bill I was so upset I thought yes someone will help now. Not at all. She told me I needed to be like 4 months behind on my morg payments and other things also. What a joke so much for that bill...guess we have to go after countrywide oursleves...

Bank of America Monthly Statements / Late Fees

Fraud alert, I believe every one of the 2 millions countrywide customers should read this letter I am sure it will benefit them as long as they are dealing with Countrywide Mortgage Company.
Throughout the pas 2.5 half years that we have a home loan with countrywide, we are receiving monthly statement and envelop to mail out our monthly payments. During the last two months we did not received any monthly statement and if it was not because of my wife we would have be late on our monthly payment.
After many calls to countrywide customer service they have informed us that the statement has been return to them with the note “Wrong address”. We have contacted post office and countrywide to get to the bottom of this issue without any success, and I must remind everyone that we have two loan with countrywide and we are receiving the second loan statements but not the first loan.
By the language of the loan documents customer is the ultimate responsible person to pay the mortgage and they need to use all means to do so, however when you receiving statements every month for the past two years or as many month and years that you are getting the statements, you may get used to this method and system and you may waited for you statements and as result you may be late on your mortgage payments.
This is extremely important and you may ask why and the answer that question is as follow;
1. This will have negative effect on your credit report and your credit score.
2. If you miss any payment as everyone knows there will be late fees involve with that and that is ONE WAY FOR THEM TO MAKE EXTRA MONEY.
3. If you are looking to take advantage of HOUSING RESCUE BILL that it was pass in summer, guess what!? Since you are LATE on your payments you will not be qualified to apply or take advantage of housing rescue bill.
4. If you are late in your monthly payments countrywide does not have to work with you and simply they can say get out.
I believe the reason that Countrywide does not send statements to the customers or when you pay online and on time yet they claim that they have not received the payments on time is that they want to make sure that the customers our late which will allow them to collect more late fees, disqualify the customer for any program that will REDUCE THE PRINCIPALS OF YOUR LOAN, and or any Loan Modification.
Countrywide is a incompetent, dishonest, deceitful company and they do anything to take advantage of the customer. Their incompetence has lead to the lost of identity of 2 million customer and they did not inform their customer for OVER TWO years their must be some law against that and consumer should take some legal action about that.
If you experiencing some of the above conditions and more please speak up and lets get together and see if we can put an end to the COUNTRYWIDE PIRACY of customers from their livelihood.

Bank of America 1 800 number/fraud dept

Here is my story:

One day 3 years ago, there is a car loan that pop out in my credit report. At that time I did not have the time to clean it out. I have written to the 3 credit bureus, and they have investigated, but Bank of America would not clear my name. Now, I finally have the time to follow thru with this.

I have written the Plaza associates and called them as they are the collecting agency that the Bank of America gave the loans to. They referred me back to the originator of the car loan.

Then I filled a dispute from the credit bureu once again.
After that I have fax the same proof and evidence that the car loan is not mine to a supervisor named CArole Olson of Bank of America.

I had no Idea that when I called the 1-800 number, I would have the run around and no one could direct me to their fraud department for auto loans. I spent 4 hrs per day in the past 3 days.

I feel so frustrated about this and I am not sure what to make of it. The receptionist are horrible. Then I found this wbsite which could at least make me vent some of my frustration. I guess this is therapeutic. But still Is there any way someone could help me get rid of that credit report?

Bank of America are true scammers and just down right dishonest. I bought a home thru Bank of America in 2006. I had purchased home ownwer's insurance in order to buy the home. We had the insurance and taxes escrowed into the payment of the house. We recieved a new payment book this February in the amount of $2, 110.00. We thought it was a typo of course. We went to make the payment and they told us we didn't have enough money and that it wasn't a typo. Yet and all they had no explanation to why at the time. We kept inquiring and found out they had not payed for our insurance and force placed their insurance of $13, 000.00. Which raised our escrow to $20, 000.00 in the negative. I am currently in foreclosure court.
So far the judge has put it in our favor because he sees the discrepancy. They admitted it was a discrepancy on their part but they don't want to fix it. Any way the hired SaFE-Loc to enter the home and change all the locks on all the doors. The house has not been awarded to them as of yet. This was the day after court last month. The next thing they did was hire a guy to cut the grass and gave him the new keys to the home. Explain to me why he would have to enter the home? Any way he entered the home and began removing contents from inside the house. We tried putting a no- tress pass warrant against Bank of America to no avail. We are scheduled to go back to court November 5, 2008. We will find out what happens then. If there is anyone out there that can give me advice or any information for this case like more like mine please HELP.

Bank of America money disappearing, excessive fees, without an explanation

Oh, I have a story for you guys...about a month ago..I had direct deposit from my job, so I waited until it cleared, and transferred $120 from a non bank of america atm...I had the funds, it was not pending, believe me I make sure to check these things, a few times..so few days later my account was blocked..no phone call...I was told it was an empty envelope deposit. I told the agent I never use envelopes, since the new machines let you put in cash...she didn't really know what to say..but kept saying it would be cleared by the next day..

I was unsure of why this happened..and didn't know it had to do with that withdrawal..so 2 days later, still blocked called again after looking at my account online the $120 disappeared, and a weird fee was on the checking account, of $180. I didn't know what it was, so I asked the first agent didn't know, the second didn't, the third said it was because the amount wasn't avaliable since it was a non bank of america atm...but the funds were there and NOT PENDING.

I didn't understand this..and no one really knew what the fee was. So, now of course I HAD bills that are taken out monthly during that time, so of course this happened the day the money was taken out...(which would have been there..if this wasn't screwed up) than took out $200 dollar worth of overdraft fees, and money from my savings account, then again recently, and for whatever reason that money was transferred back, and titled "refund". No one seems to want to help out with this..and it does not make any sense to me...since no one truly knew what the fees were..help anyone? I thought about writing a letter, instead of attempting to speak to agents.

Ashley,

A similar situation happened to me. Keep calling this number until you get someone to help you: [protected] press 6. It took me many tries to get to someone who was willing to help. But when I did she fixed it right away.

Bank of America Harassment - WARNING!! READ THIS CAREFULLY!!

STAY AWAY! READ THIS CAREFULLY! My son who is in his early twenties received a credit card branded Harris Bank managed by FIA Card Services. He moved and missed a payment. My son and I have the same first and last name but different middle initial. FIA Card services uses a collection agency called ACT Collection Services in Kansas City. ACT Collection Services uses a third party service obviously from India. I received a phone call asking about a card that I did not own and after a few phone calls, established that it was not mine but my sons. I told them that I would contact my son and that they should no longer call me as he does not live here and is on his own. The phone calls continued - ACT continued to call my wife's business line and any relatives who shared our same last name. This morning I received a call again from a person from India who told me "we are going to keep calling you until we hear from your son." That was it for me - I called and spoke to people from ACT, FIA, BAnk of America (who I believe owns FIA), and will contact Harris Bank. No relatives of a cardholder should be harassed that way. I am reporting them to the state's attorney and all agencies concerned with this and will continue to spread the word about these practices. My advice is to stay away from any credit cards managed by FIA Card Services.

I have had a NIGHTMARE of a time with FIA and Harris. First of all, the Harris online banking site sucks and this FIA partnership is even worse. If you want to see payments or make payments it takes you to a completely different website.

I have had nothing but problems since day one. As soon as I got the card, I signed up for the automatic payments which don't allow you to do automatic minimum - you have to picked a fixed amount? Every other company I have ever dealt with allows you to select minimum. When I made the balance transfer for the low rate, I asked my representative with whom I was working what the first payment would be. She told me, but was off by two dollars unbeknownst to me. I then get a letter saying they are changing my rate and did I want to "opt out". I call and figure out there was a 2 dollar difference and pay the difference. I change the amount to reflect that amount for the auto pay because why would the second month be higher than the first when there is no money being charged additionally to the card. However, second month bill jumps - I never get the email notification that I have a new bill though I was signed up for it.

I get the letter again and have to call customer support again. I go online while talking with the woman and see this time is a $133 payment due versus the 47 it should have been. I wait on hold for almost 30 minutes. Then get a woman who goes through that the minimum amount had gone up and I was off this time by $10 and the 133 included two late fees, but she would credit those back. We spent 30 minutes on the phone going through everything. I pay the difference of $10 and see her late fee credits. I am actually now paid over by $2.

I just logged in and see there is a 39 dollar late fee! Though amount due shows 37 because as I have already said it was overpaid by $2 so how could there be a late fee?

I call support - wait 17 minutes. Get someone who says he sees the adjustments but they did not take out of minimum due, however, they had to have taken out otherwise the current amount due would not be 2 dollars less than the total.

While I am talking he talks over me and transfers me! On hold again!

THEN, I get a woman who says you can do "minimum". I am literally looking at their sign up section - NO WHERE does it say minimum. She says, "Oh you must be in the wrong section" Um, I am in "Auto Pay Account Settings - View/Edit/Change" What other section should I be in? Now, of course, she can't tell me where to go to do minimum pay but she says she can transfer me to that department. I tell her I am looking at the screen - there is nothing about minimum pay. She puts me on hold. Comes back - I was right. The relationship with ghetto Harris bank doesn't allow for it to be done online. But she can mail me a paper form and I can mail it back! What? Is this 1990?

I go back to my original issue - what's up with the late fee? She tries a few bogus excuses like "well if you made a payment after 5pm the day before the due date then it would still show up". I made the payment 2 weeks before the due date - fail. So then she finally admits she doesn't know why there is a late fee. I say it's a bug. In my head I am thinking OR A SCAM! Guess what she does? Yep. Puts me on hold! Call time at this point is 33 minutes. Then comes back on and tries to tell me that she doesn't know where I am getting the minimum due of 37 and that the two late charge adjustments don't count towards my 133 owed. That's funny because the amounts worked out perfect that there was a 2 dollar credit and then the amount due is 2 dollars less than the 39 dollar late fee! I HATE THIS COMPANY! She then has to restore my rate and credit the late fee. AGAIN! 3 months and this has happened every month. She claims the last person I talked to gave me bad information. Really? I get bad information every month. The problem is - it says on my account that I owe $37 and she is telling me that is incorrect and it should be more? But how do I know since the information is incorrect? Who has the correct information? I HATE FIA Cardservices and Harris Bank. Do not do business with FIA CARD SERVICES OR HARRIS BANK!

I knew that Fia Card Services was bad to deal with but reading these complaints I am absolutely sure. They offered me a credit card balance transfer at 1.9% for one year. It just expired and it jumped to 15.99%. I was never late and never exceeded the credit limit. When asked if there was an "opt out" (as was for Bank of America when they raised their interest rates), I was told emphatically "no". I was also told that any future payments would be paid to the lower interest rate balance first. How's that for business practice? I'm doing whatever I can to pay this card off, taking money from an IRA so this scamming bank does not get our hard earned money. 15.99% on $1, 800? That's about $280 in finance charges. Outrages and even more that these banks are allowed to do whatever they want to us. How does the government expect us to spend money when we're making the banks rich. The economy will never improve as long as these practices are allowed to continue. I wish there was something we could all do to stop this immoral practices.

Bank of America Scam and cheating

Refinanced in early 2008 with Countrywide Mortgage.Countrywide did not accept appraisal from appraiser, home was appraised at $270, 000.00 in January 2008.We wanted to refinance out of a interest only loan to a fixed conventional loan. New loan was to be $214, 000, Countrywide would not accept appraisal at $270, 000 and had their valued opinion/guess value come back at $245, 000, so that we would have to pay PMI. If we had to refinance, $250, 000 or so I can almost bet they would have accepted the appraisal at $2700, 000, but because we only had to refinance with a loan of $214, 000 they valued our home at $245, 000 just so we would have to pay PMI. We as consumers pay a lot of money to licensed appraisers for their services to have a company like Countrywide do and say as they wish. It appears that the services we all pay for on appraisals are wasted and Countrywide can do as they please with our American dream of owning a home. It took me 2 e-mails, and 4 phone calls to finally get a copy of the paperwork that I should have gotten the closing in March, 2008. Countrywide Mortgage didn't want us to see or have a copy of their value opinion/guess value.

I urge ALL consumers who have a problem with Countrywide Mortgage to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, I am putting my complaint package together and filing a complaint against Countrywide Mortgage. If all who have a problem with Countrywide Mortgage do the same as I am, The Federal Trade Commission has to do something about this company. The Federal Trade Commission investigates all complaints, so lets ALL file a complaint against Countrywide with the Federal Trade Commission and STOP this unfair practice from Countrywide Mortgage. The more information you provide the Federal Trade Commission the better, so get your cases in order and file. Let the consumer provale!

Bank of America b.o.a. closed my credit card account

I have had a credit card with Bank of America/MBNA since 1997. And, I have used my credit card account for balance transfers since 1997. Just recently, I was told about a companion card to go along with my current B.O.A. card. I was told by a representative that I could transfer some of my credit available on my current B.O.A. to this new account once I received the new card in the mail in order to take advantage of a 0% balance transfer for 15 months.

I called a few days ago on Monday to see if I was going to get that companion card in the mail and I was told that I had been rejected for the new card. I asked why, and I was told that upon closer review of my currently revolving credit lines and balances with other cards that I was rejected for the new card and that my existing credit available($10, 177.00) would be taken away from my current account and it would be closed even though I currently have a balance of $5, 822.00 at a 1.99% rate until March 2009. And, also, I have never been late or missed a payment the whole time I have had this card since 1997. So, my credit card account has never been a delinquent account. I have very good history with them and they acknowledged that, but they said that was the right decision.

I have made balance transfers with them about every year since 1997 and they have never had a problem with this before. They just processed my most recent balance transfer in July 2008($6, 000.00) at the 1.99% rate until March 2009, and the balance is now down to $5, 822.00 like I said earlier. So, I have shown that I can make my payments every month and I have not missed any payments on my other credit cards and they admitted that I do have a good credit score. So, I asked them why do they have to close my account even though I have a balance, have not missed any payments etc., and they told me that all it takes is for me to miss one payment on one of my credit cards and then all of my credit card interest rates and payments will go up and that means that I will probably eventually not be able to pay them. Well, I have never demonstrated that I would or could miss or make a payment late! I have been with them since 1997! I don't understand this! I have excellent credit and they acknowledged that! This is not fair! They even closed my husband's Bank of America card account too, all in one phone call!

Now, because they have closed mine and my husband's credit card accounts, our credit will be ruined because credit reports will show that they closed our 2 credit card accounts and I still have a balance on one of them! The fact that they(Bank of America) closed our credit card accounts is going to now lower our credit score and cause our other credit card companies to possibly raise our interest rates and our payments and will also, most definitely cause them(other credit card companies) to stop offering us any low rate balance transfer offers! So, in effect, Bank of America is going to cause the very scenario that they were trying to avoid in the first place! By closing my accounts and ruining my credit in the process, they may cause my other credit card interest rates to go up, therefore increasing my minimum payments, and also causing them(other credit card companies) not to offer any low interest balance transfers which will in turn, cause me not to be able to pay off my current balance with them(Bank of America)! I have tried to get them to reverse their decision about closing my credit card account, but they said that they can't and I have spoke with supervisor after supervisor to no avail. They are ruining my credit by closing my accounts!

What can I do? Do they have the right to do this? Do I have any recourse? What can I do about this? Can someone help me?

Thank You So Much,
Shauna

I don't understand why a bank as big as bank of america has such poor customer service. It takes an act of god to get ahold of a person by phone. I have never had so much trouble getting a hold of a customer service rep. With any other business. Every number they provide sends you to the same automated phone service leading to a dead end. To me its obvious they don't care about their customers. They don't make their local business #s available to the public. So if you inquire any problems you always have to go to the bank and wait in line for 15-20 minutes and hopefully the can help you with your problem. Very unsatisfied customer. I do not see staying with this bank.

I received a packet from BAC for a modification on my current loan in March of 2010. I complied with all the documention and information requested and returned via fed-ex to BAC. After several months of continous follow-up calls and being advised that all my documentation was in place and that the file was being reviewed, on Jan. 5 2011 I was notified via Fed-Ex that my modification was denied due to missing documents. Is somebody kidding me! I called and again got the run around. My mortgage payments went from $1487 a month to $1883 a month due to an escrow account being set up. So now what? I do believe that these people need to get with the program! I have been paying into a program I haven't even been approved for yet! Who's idea was that?

I have gone to the bank for the last couple of months to make my payment. well it appears that when you make the payment in the bank they are to put the payment towards your mortgage account. RIGHT? well no they play with the money don't know where it goes? so then they finally realize it's the house payment they put it in the account but now I have a late payment. keep your receipts from the bank. I had this happen 3 times already. they assure me this never happens? well it happened 3 times already plus this last payment i did it over the phone "check over the phone" and they made a type-O error instead of the 2, 017.64 she made 2, 017.14 so according them I owe 50cents and a late charge...crazy huh. but they removed it but i was on the phone over 3 hours different days clearing this up...closed by personal accounts already. to bad they have my mortgage acct.

We currently have two Bank of America accounts. One mortgage, and one unsecured line of credit. We had been victims of the economy, with a job loss for 13 months and now finally back to work! We did everything in our power to stay current on all of our accounts, and most banks/credit cards like Discover and Chase, were VERY accomodating. Bank of America did NOTHING to help with late fees or interest rates. We stayed current on our mortgage for the entire 13 months, but received two late charges for being nore than 15 days late the last two months. Customer service said there was nothing they could do help us being we had 2 late charges in the last 18 months. I probably would have preferred a slap in the face. It sickens me that a company like this gets away with raising interest rates, refusing to help the consumer in an economy that they helped create!

Topic: “Banking companies that protect the offenders when customer accounts are compromised.” Background: I received a new checking card in the mail with a note saying my account had been compromised. I called Bank of America to learn which merchant was responsible so I could avoid them. I was told that information could not be shared with the customer. They said it was the responsibility of the “reporting entity” to advise us of the crime.

So the concern is this, the banking customer is inconvenienced as we must modify our financial lives to accommodate new account information, but we are not told who violated our account wherein we can do our part by not patronizing that entity again.

Why do the rights of the criminal supersede the rights of the violated banking customer? How many violators are given the freedom to repeat their crime when the same customers unknowingly support their business? It’s clear the banks are doing “something” to cover their interest, but what of our other information? What if it were a medical office? The banking information has been modified, but what of our SSN, medical record(s) or personal contact information?

At what point does the violated individual have the right to protect themselves?

I have had a card with Bank of America for over 5 years and have been paying faithfully on my account. I have never been late with a payment but today received a bill saying my interest rate had been raised from 9.90% to 24.99%! This is outrageous. I pay on time, every time and yet I am being punished. I cannot pay this new bill. It has more than doubled my bill. They said it was common but they are the only company who has done this. She said she can lower the rate but I can never use the card again. So, again; I am being punished even though I pay on time, every time. No wonder there is so much bankruptcy and foreclosures.
