unethical behavior
Morning
MY son has worked for your location in Niagara Falls for almost a year now . He was promoted to front end . Today when he punched in, he was told that the corporate head loss prevention would like to speak to him . He was in the back office with this person & his manager Dana . He was slid a piece of paper with a signature line & told to sign it. He was not explained to what the paper was for until after it was signed . He was told he was being watched .. and he had stolen a bottle of water .. The head of security interrogated him asking him what else he has stolen without their knowing . I have no problems sending you the 1.99 for the bottle of water .. He said it was an accident . He is not a thief . I do not appreciate him being portrayed as one either. I work for a corporation my self and I have never ever seen this type of ignorance toward another person in my life. First of all if he did something wrong, you explain, you do not make him sign something without explaining what you are signing .. that is protocol anywhere. When he asked what it was for, he was told it was to be paid for his upcoming vacation. The second page was his "confession" and he was fired . He was then told to turn in his badge & HR wouldn't be able to tend to his case for a month ? A month really .. because the corporation I work for, it is taken care of within 2 days . He is upset, as am I . He is 20 years old . This is not his first job, nor will be his last . However it will be the last time I shop at Burlington .

Hello I bought a car seat at a Burlington store in Davis hwy Pensacola Florida, my husband first walked into the store to exchange the defective car seat that we bought a day ago the supervisor that was on duty was super rude to him and told him they do not accept car seat but no where on the return policy on the website or receipt does it say that, it states that if you are unhappy about your purchase you have 30 to receive a refund or exchange, so I went back with my husband because I a manger of my own store, I know if something was bought defective I have to return it for the safety of that child, the lady started yelling at me and told me because we don't have a receipt we can't take it back then she states that they don't even take them back because we cannot resell it, and I said well how can you sell me something that is broken ? So she continued to yell and tell me she wouldn't take it back and I told her she was very rude to be someone of management and I would like to speak to someone above her so then she got in her walkie talky and started saying this rude costumer wants to return a car seat when I stated to her that I just wanna exchange it because the straps came out the box broken, and she told me it was used tire up, let me remind you it was bought a day ago so the manager started to get rude with me until i told her about the policy and why do you take my phone number if you cannot look it up and when she realized the girl was being rude she walked back with us to look at other car seat to let us exchange it and when she went to the back to look at the other car seats she realized the other one on display was broken as well, so basically was bought broken and when I said I would like to make a complaint about her being so rude and hostile the manager would not give me the complaint number and told me that it was not in her job category to tell me that and I said what do you mean and I said well I will find it on the website, I never in my life received bad service from any type of management I was horrified by the way they are trained and how they even speak to there costumers . Something needs to happen at least they need to be retrained in how they come about things in a better manner .
The manager had multiple complaints about the way she act towards costumer, she had been wrote up .

I'm a part of a group on Facebook and unfortunately I saw a comment online from one of your managers and made me feel very upset.
She's was saying that has to deal with costumers that does not speak English is annoying. I'm a Portuguese speaker also I learn Portuguese by living here. I thought this comment was very racist. I think as a manager she should not being on internet saying those things. Maybe as a manager and she knows that most of the costumer speaks Portuguese and Spanish she should learn the language to give a better costumer service. This made me so upset that I really want to know which store she works so I can guarantee that I don't buy anything from there.
service complaint
I was at your location in the bronx today.700 exterior st. I was on the line with my two daughters. The line was extremely long, an employee came around telling me and others I can go pay in layaway now because they just change the rules and we can purchase there. So I got off the line and the people at layaway did not let me pay there and they were rude. Did not say I'm sorry but that employee was wrong. They just went on as if I was not even standing there. This was not good customer service.
Refusing to let you do something is not the same as rude. Grow up.

On 4/21/19 I went to Burlington store # 01037 and purchased a dress and sweater. Once I made it home I was not happy with the fit. On 4/22/19 I returned the items to the store. At first, I was told that I would have to receive a store credit. I informed the associate that this unacceptable especially since the item was purchased on a credit card. She then advised that it was her only option on her screen. (she seemed new) She called for help. 2 other associates came to help her and showed her to simply touch a line on the screen and she was then able to issue a credit card credit...so I thought. Today is 5/3/19, I am still waiting on this refund to my credit card. I have been going back and forth with customer service trying to locate my refund. My bank shows nothing even submitted to be pending. I have sent the refund receipt...still waiting. I will never shop Burlington again.
puma soft foam toddler sneakers
I brought these sneakers about 3 weeks ago and I am not satisfied with the results. My daughter has an open wound on one foot and a black mark on the other foot that would eventually opened if I'd continued to put the sneakers on her feet. She now has to walk around with a mark on her foot due to a pair of sneakers that are suppose to be designed for comfort. Unfortunately, I can't return them because she wore them. I hope to hear from someone soon concerning this matter.

I am writing concerning order # [protected]. I ordered two dresses for my granddaughter. I was sent two dresses that I didn't order. My granddaughter decided to keep one dress and I tried to return the other. After several attempts of trying to return dress without success, I will keep the second dress and donate it to a charity. I will never shop online with you ever again and if anyone asks me of my shopping experience I will tell them how horrible it was. A word of advice, people in certain areas of the country do not dress the same as others so no one should attempt to second guess a choice and sent a replacement.I would suggest sending an email to see if a replacement would be ok.

Twice I have placed orders with Burlington.com that have been accepted and then followed by a "We are sorry" e-mail notice that claims all the items, over 20 items, are sold out and no longer available.
When I check the website all items are still available. The Customer Serivce claims my cards was declined, which is not true.

I'm extremely dissatisfied because of my experience with the associate and shift manager Christian B. I was harassed, insulted, and stressed out just because I wanted to exchange an item. I bought a shower post and got home to realize that some parts were missing. I went back to the store for even exchange but couldn't get the same thing. When I got home the handyman that I hired told me that the one I got is too complicated to Install, that I need to get another one (the straight post instead of curved), I was so much in a hurry, tired of having to go back and forth. I got to the store without the receipt and told the person that rang me previously that i wanted to exchange the product, without checking the return item she insisted that the item is missing (I was shocked because I came with whatever i left with), i was asked to speak to the manager, she came with nasty attitude saying the same thing that it's missing a part and she will not be attending to me until I have my receipt. I lost the product in the store, quickly went home to get my receipt. I got to the store with the receipt and was handed to the loss and prevention guy that the camera should be reviewed, I stood there with them looking at the camera. The man pointed out that I left the store with two posts inside the post. I was irate because I didn't know that was what they were referring to as missing part. Mind you; I mentioned that I left the item in the store, went home to pick the receipt. I told the manager to bring me the return item, I opened it right in front of the manager and the security man and pulled out the post to find out that it was two posts as I was trying to pull the post one post slip out of another and fell on the ground. The next thing I heard from the so-called shift manager Christian.B was I would not be accepting this return, and I asked him "for what reason, " she replied, " you just beat the post on the floor, so you will not be getting your money back." I told it was all a joke, but it wasn't. I didn't know what to do, didn't want to start drama.
I left the Item with the manager, went back and purchased another one; I had to pay again. I left the paid return item in the store, and as I was exiting the store, she screamed: "ma'am if you don't take your paid item I will be tossing them in the trash." Very unprofessional. The handyman charged me more. I had to cancel my appointment, waited my time, very stressful, etc. I have lived in Bowie for over 30 years and never had such a terrible experience before. It was miserable that my first time going to that store I had to experience such a thing. This is unacceptable anywhere and needs to be dealt with.
She need to go for management training or never schedule her s a shift manager. i was told by other customer to go after burlignton for harassment, discrimination, and for the fact that she refused to give back my money. i will not be doing that because all i'm seeking for is a corrective action. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER HAD. Very terrible shift manager.
I reported her to Jay the store manager on 04-01-19, he apologized for the inconvenience. He did not mention that I should return to the store at my convenient time so that they can give me back my money, instead he wants to find out what she did with the item.

Hello I have been a burlingtion customer for over 20 years and in those years I have seen the mens big and tall section has decreased immensely! I have seen it go from a large selection to only maybe 3 racks! I feel as a bigger person and that bigger people are being discriminated against in the store. The selection for "other"size people has been in touchedand has actually become even bigger and much more of a selection. Bigger people need selection bigger people like to be stylish... I have been calling for three years in order to have name removed from your mailing list The person has not lived in my home since 1998. I get junk mail from Burlington in his name and call to get the mail to stop. I have received apologies and promises by the mail still comes. I have receive to pieces this week. former employee quit due management
I was a former employee of Burlington Coat Factory and worked there for almost a year then I had a family emergency and had to go straight to Denver for a day to be with family I called my manager ahead of time to let him know and he said he would have to put me down as a no call no show which wasn't right so I ended up quitting my job .
